What we also don't realize is Evil Eye pretty much agreed to nerf himself by giving that pair of underwear away. That's what held most of his potential. And yet he's still strong as heck just by himself without the generations of vengeful souls. Okarun knew he was lucky to have got him when he's still naive of that true potential.

So remember how earlier in the season they had that creepy animation of the kid that got burned at the stake and the bowlcut kid whose parents died merging into one entity, and that's why Evil Eye looks the way he does? It's never explicitly explained but legit, the underwear housed the angry souls of everyone else that was sacrificed by the Kitos. It's why the rest of Jiji's clothes explode when he transforms. This stops happening once the underwear is given away, and Evil Eye stops using the purple ball/house ability too, although the absence isn't immediately obvious. I'm just explaining it now for the inevitable questions when Season 3 airs in a couple years and people ask why Evil Eye feels nerfed like every other JRPG villain that can join the party 😂
