Yeah, storywise, we're around chapter 80 out of 129, with some stuff kinda rearranged. So I could see this being wrapped up in another season. I like that though. Ain't nobody got time for every manga/show to be hundreds of chapters/episodes. Media that knows when to wrap it up is more my jam these days.

I really hope this fix the plot holes from the manga but I doubt it they never do even when given the chance..

If the projectiles have no drag and no bullet drop, you could easily shoot a kaiju-sized target at 20km. The gun doesn't even need sub-MOA accuracy; with 1 MOA you'd be able to consistently hit an 18 ft target, which is far smaller than one of those kaiju. Then again, I have no idea how the anti-kaiju weapons work, so maybe I'm wrong to assume that they don't have drag. The one thing I am certain about is that they don't have very much recoil, so they must be laser-adjacent.

It's kinda crazy that the number of Numbered Kaiju has more than doubled since the start of the series. They went from only ever encountering 7 of these things since the beginning of them tracking kaiju fortitude to encountering 8 of them in a single year.

I kinda enjoy a story like this every now and then. Fast paced story, still good storytelling, good fights, good characters and good reasoning for things such as powers etc. Kinds nice to not have something drag out
