Dushane is definitely written like an idiot now but I also don’t think he was *THAT* smart in the previous seasons, it’s just that everyone around him was so woefully incompetent that he looked brilliant by comparison. Sending someone who was your enemy and has shown aptitude in every facet of leadership to meet the supplier himself is foolishness. He quite literally just cut off Lizzy BECAUSE her utility was her connections, leverage and relationship to the supplier and now he’s handing over the same thing to Jamie on a silver platter.

Dushane can't go to Spain cause he has the summerhouse project and just the day to day drug operation in London to run. Jamie wasnt his first choice but he knows Jamie smart enough to handle the situation other than maybe Jaq, no one else can handle that. The Lizzie thing was kinda dumb but then again Lizzie doesn't have a relationship with the Moroccans she had a relationship with the guy who retired so her usefulness was in the gutter an episode ago.

My thing with sully is: Didn’t he spend a whole season complaining that Dushane didn’t treat him like an equal? And then this season he wants to be hands off while Dushane handles everything and he gets to profit off of it. Like I don’t really get the writing of Sully’s character bc if he wants out: get out! You can’t have half your foot in the door and then complain when Dushane needs you for something.

Walk with me, Dushane has complete control of the operation, Jaime is indebted to Dushane for letting him skip prison, the show reinforces Jaime's loyalty when Lizzie literally shows up at his crib and was spamming the betray Dushane button. At no point during this episode would the writer's be hinting that Dushane is acting mad Dumb when you factor in the other variables that pushed him select Jamie instead. In fact I would argue that it would be completely retarded for him to go himself, as he stands the chance of him getting killed, it'll also damage his reputation it's like having Tony Soprano doing low level shit like collections when Paulie is sitting there doing fuck all. And b4 you argue some stupid shit like sending Jaq, he can't do that neither after she told him her mum's sick in the hospital even though we know its a lie he don't know that, He also knows for a fact that Jaq is more reliable here as Jaq can run Jaime's crew whilst Jaime is away.
