Fun fact, when Deku first punches Afo here, it's animated just like Deku's first punch when he saves uraraka from the Mech on S1 Also when her mom runs to cheer Izuko it's also animated just like when Deku ran to save bakugo on S1 And the animation of Deku dodging Afo attacks as he gets closer also is the same has one scene from the first movie. So good, so many great things in this episode. And like Sheera, I can totally appreciate how Shigaraki/AFO/Leage of Villains were taken down. I think Horikoshi really thought about what would make sense for this story while focusing on the themes of it. Deku making sure everyone attached to OFA and AFO had closure, even AFO himself! Even if he didn't want to hear it, it was the truth.

Something I loved is that Shiggy was succsssful, saved and killed. A total complete arc for him. He destroyed the hero society, destroyed the hero image, destroyed everything related to that house by destroying AFO. And by doing so, he creates a new horizon with Deku quite literally and figuratively.

cus peole who solely read mangas are meant to be the people with the braincells to understand this a very good ending for the show. since this ending fits deku the most. the whole point of the show is deku doesnt need a quirk to be a hero so its all full cycle. they jus want aura farm endings. As much as i would have loved for deku to keep ofa, it made sense since afo can only go if ofa goes.

This was amazing. In reference to the gang's comments, Deku can still be a hero after this, they just have to finish the new Iron Might suit for him. Peas in a pod, those two madlads Eight and Nine. Shigaraki's technically Ten, but it was a plan to blow him up anyways. Love this series.

Nahh, this shit was beautiful in the manga, and it was even more beautiful in the anime. Sheera made a great point, My Hero does such a good job with the cinema of it all. Sure some of the art work moments could have been better, animation suffered at times, but we made it here and that scene of Deku’s fist in the air and then panned out to him SPLITTING THE SKY??? That is why we watch this story. Deku has moved me in so many ways, and I feel grateful to have watched/read art like this.

Anime on IMDB is disproportionally higher rated because no one really looks for anime there other than fans of that specific anime. Meaning no one else really rates it. So that rating means quite literally jack shit. Not denying that the "review bombing" occurred, but the reverse also happened naturally due to it being an anime, meaning its score is far higher than it should be.

That's incorrect he hit 40% then had faux 100% which was using multiple quirks at one time to emulate all mights 100%. I don't know why you believe he hit 100% in a year and a half. He never saw the true potential of one for all not even close but that's not a shock as they told us back in season 3 his body would never be able to handle 100 for long as he permanently destroyed his body by that point. It would take years to get 100% safely.

Horikoshi handled that bullshit with the final epilogue chapter he put out. It fixed the vast majority of all of the losers complaining about the ending. Hopefully they put it in the anime and work it out to where it helps take care of the stupid complaints about the "ending"

Yeah Deku did not want to kill him. He wanted to save him. But he had no options to really stop him besides the power transfer which resulted in Shigi being destroyed. Deku just had to be like “oops dawg, I really tried.” However he made Shigi see himself so he saved him kind of. He at least opened his eyes. It was cool that Nana protected him from being wipe out when his body was taken too.

You know they're pulling out all the stops when we even see Movie characters that Deku helped along the way make an appearance in this finale battle...! Also I love how we got to see how similar Deku's final One For All SMASH is similar to when he first used it against the giant ass battle bot they had to beat up to save Ochaco during their entrance exams....! There's also a small detail I love from this episode: we see various characters that interacted with the main cast of heroes in this episode too: for example, the girl Tentacole saved is seen wearing an Octopus necklace signifying that he's her hero even after people discriminated against him or we see Pinky & Red Riot's former classmates all seen watching the fight at the same time...! It's small details that I love so much that made everything come full circle......... 😭

Also side note, just a reminder to everyone. This is the FINAL natural You Say Run we'll ever get to hear from MHA ever again btw (the composer Yuki Hayashi himself said it on Twitter). Maybe we'll get the orchestral version (that usually plays in the slower emotional scenes like during the "You can become a hero" scene in s1e1 in the later eps but even that version has a different name to distinguish between the 2 (still holding out for one final Might+U hopefully). Cherish it.
