It gets to a point where I wonder if these studios are just pushing the limits to see how weird they can be without any backlash. There's genuinely no reason to have this Santa nigga be naked around these children. Theyre literally trying to normalize showing a grown ass man naked infront of kids. While I understand the idea that she's just looking for a respectable adult to lean on, why does he have to be half naked all the time? And why would you put in the line about "an adult's naked body is beautiful". This shit is weird. So many other ways to get your point across.

The idea of the adult form being considered beautiful goes with the narrative of the society (as in the society within the show) being wrong because they try to avoid aging and any difference from childhood but instead they are seeing an older person who doesn’t modify their body and is still confident in it.

If you think about it, these kids don't really get emotional support from adults like that so because Fuyumura is in a stressful situation that forced her to act mature she barely has time to feel like a kid. Hugging Santa Sanda was just her realization that she can depend on an adult like a kid usually would.

I'm curious to hear why you're specifically calling out the anime studio. I've never read the manga, but unless Sanda was fully clothed prior to the anime, wouldn't this be a critique for the mangaka? Or was your point that the anime studios should be censoring the uncomfortable stuff?
