Charlie baker

Highest tier animation put to film next to something like Redline. Plus you know lupa gonna be damn near passing out considering how sweaty bro was during the entertainment district arc lmao

Eppej Nesnej

Saw this in 4DX, was like a literal rollercoaster, fucking wild!

Sugoi_Boi__

Just got home with Chocolate Milk, I’m ready for this ;-;

JadonTheEternal

Man I've been waiting all day for this. End of work cannot come soon enough

KittensandMotorcycles

Also there are like 20 different famous movie references in that opening, Fujimoto and Mappa LOVE cinema

naomi

😮‍💨

sim

So good

Demer'sLemur

only anime reaction beating this one is the demon slayer one

sim

LOL comparing kny to redline, you are LOST

Persto

I can't stress enough how excited I am to see y'all react to this movie, I saw it 3 times in theatres and genuinely top 5 movies for me

Charlie baker

I said animation lol, ufotable put an incredible amount of effort into the animation. Its remarkably well done even by their standards and makes for a very enjoyable movie. Nobodys saying demon slayers a master work only that the movie reactions gonna be awesome

Hanamichi10

Absolute Cinema 🖐️😮‍💨🤚

Henoch

Genuinely one of the fav anime movies i've ever seen i wrote a whole multi-paragraph review on my letterboxd and there's still so much more I could say about how deep this movie is and how its almost perfect in every aspect from the cinematography to the animation to the coloring to the score to the themes, etc

Krype

Movie of the year 😮‍💨

GigaDirt

Can we just like both equally? Both are genuinely good

Mozart Waddell

Complete travesty that this movie at the very least didn't get a Golden Globe nomination. There budget was only $4M and they made that shit work!

Muliphein

It was the best movie I've seen in years. Mappa has completely outdone itself.

harry

Had to sub just for this let’s goooooo

jordansamuel

Man if i was in his shoes i would’ve folded too. Reze playing with denji and looking like that, ain’t no way lmao

Mozart Waddell

I'm so happy my patreon membership expires tomorrow and not today 😭

Unok457

Post movie depression hit me hard after watching this

Henrique I. Pereira

Already watched the movie in cinema, then 2 times back to back in other reaction channels I follow, now third one with you guys

Nico

This movie was fucking phenomenal in theatres. Got to watch it dubbed and the entire time Beam and Denji were being psychos in Typhoon was killing me. This movie hands down was best animated film of the year.

Sugoi_Boi__

Highly recommend going to YouTube and searching up the song JANE DOE and reading the lyrics in their Music Video, makes this movie hit harder for me (By Kenshi Yonezu and Hikaru Utada)

Xemnas27

PEAK CINEMA 🙌🔥

Aaron Mitchell

I honestly think it’s just personal preference at a certain point. And they are both great for different reasons!🙏🏾

Shajuan

So are we getting the demon slayer movie as well

Arindam Pani

Are you guys planning to watch the Demon Slayer movie too? or already watched it?

Pluh

This movie was seriously so amazing me and my brother watched ts like 5x our wallets hurt but it’s sooo worth it

Mervyn Larrier

Not until after January because of how they're distributing it

Wut funny

I still doubt that thats actually what he bsed it on

Mozart Waddell

So anyone gonna head to polymarkets to see predict how fast their reaction to Chainsawman Reze Arc will hit a million+ views on their YouTube page 👀

Ed

Fight of the year

Ben Pines

This movie had me, my girlfriend and my freinds all crying and half of them never even watched the anime, absolutely beautiful movie.

Mozart Waddell

IRIS OUT is in all of my 2025 wraps and recaps 🎧😌

Alejandro Rogel Cruz

Fucking amazing movie. Obviously as a CSM fan I'd say that but even as a standalone movie, it's incredible in every aspect. Saw it multiple times in theaters was blown away every single time. What a great time to be a Fujimoto fan

Krype

The Pool scene alone deserves an award

William Morris

Oh guess I'm rewatching it a 3rd time

Mervyn Larrier

Dude, all he did was change the hair color. I'm not joking, go look for yourself Eta: accidentally deleted the comment but i still think that was part of his inspiration

Bakagio

Hey uhh so Makima was the one who put the pin in his hand in the op lmao 🤣 not Reze. Also when you touch Angel your lifespan decreases. Aki only had 2 months to live in season 1 so hes gonna die soon.

William Morris

Ok let's not lie now. Was it as good as chainsaw man? No, but the average anime is leagues below demon slayer

Ark

"may I have some fuck?" is a banger fucking line from roshi. thats going in the notes app

Mervyn Larrier

It won't be available on any streaming service until after the new year

Dai

Haha my sister and I did the same. Do not regret it at all 🤣

SavvyAlloy

Hey. He achieved levitation. We can give him a pass for this one.

Ghost

25:49 Sheera why?? There wasnt even numbers on the screen??? I cant escape this shit

SavvyAlloy

If it's up on YouTube by Friday then I predict 1M by the end of next week

J Man

Im not going to get mad at Sheera... I yelled "My mind's telling me noooo" at the theater

DevilMayCarter

You know what's interesting, JJK0 was right off the heels of its first season. Mugen Train had about a year after Demon Slayer started. It's been pretty much 3 years and CSM with one movie gathered up all its momentum back. Gonna enjoy watching y'all see it!

Eren Jaeger

This movie was absolute cinema

Frederick

Hehehehe……. Sensational!!!!!

Arturo

🖐🏾😩🖐🏾 Cinema

YungZeus

Music is so good in this. Shit elevated the movie even more.

13kframes

I used to pray for times like this

A C

Pool scene gotta be one of the best scenes in anime history holy shit

sip

You say this, but the design is really not that unique imo

JD

This OST easily one of my top 5

earthphoenix7068

I watched this in theatres because I thought the Demon slayer movie would release on streaming. But that never happened

Eren Jaeger

Ya’ll about to get atrocious whiplash from going from One Frame Man to this

Ian Hover

I’ve been addicted to in the pool since i saw this. One of the most beautiful osts i’ve ever heard

Gfrmbk

Im tipsy when i got the notification. Talk about great timing

Mervyn Larrier

I would normally agree, but considering how she spends half the movie naked, I'm more inclined to believe the gooner conspiracy this one time. The reference from my understanding is a video with a name like "BDSM sub hazel walks line" or sonething like that. Check it yourself if you're curious i guess

Ray Ray

Denji with Reze: "My mind's telling me no, but my body is telling me yessss" 😂🤣

Alex M

42:59 Makima moving the cup to the melody of Reze’s song…

sip

The movie they watched at the end of the date is an actual one btw: i think its called ballad of a soldier

Fizzy 🐉

First time watching here with you guys about to watch in theatres again my self

Coatl45

@41:38 Reze: Why? Why did you make me do this?

Ukaede

People are so gullible nowadays huh

BlueMop91

amazing in theaters.

Joni

one thing that i completely forgot about chainsawman is that the time period isn't current time - no smartphones. At the movie scene i was like why r they only watching old movies? lol

Ricardo Opie

Was it Denji caught in Reze's web or was it Reze caught in Makima's? I think Reze really cared for Denji.

Destiny Hernandez

Glad you guys are finally getting to watch it! Honestly watching this movie in the theaters was amazing though. Still find it funny that the voice actor for Beam is also for tanjiro and Kaneki 😂

Mervyn Larrier

Or we can have different opinions. He said he based her off of girls he likes and sexual themes are pervasive in his works. It's not that crazy, i just think it's funny considering Denji's character

supremetheG

mappa really out did themselves for this movie, after this their are definitely in my top 3 animation studios, can’t wait for what they do with jjk season 3

Mervyn Larrier

Also, lots of mangaka start out drawing hentai. What do you think they would use as reference material?

Caleb Mackin

1:15:00 when aki lost two months of his lifespan it’s because he touched angels hand

Imari

I’m glad yall see denji for the child he is so easily manipulated by others specially women

Krype

The soundtrack 🔥

Gregery stunt double

man i thought it would be months before we got this reaction im so glad that mappa decided to release it so soon

Denzel

Denji finally got someone to match his freak. Pour one out for best girl😭

HaruhiDream

*edit* Bro really went and deleted his comment so people could not reply anymore. LMAO. That journalist's source is not even credible. It is from an old reddit thread that the poster deleted after it was debunked.* A random journalist just found a character that looks like her and made and article trying to connect the two. It doesn't prove anything. There is probably someone out there that looks like you too. Does that automatically mean you have some kind of connection to them?

aiku

15:31 sheera's "mm-mm" she already knew from the first second she was trouble 😭😭

TheMonarch

Now i understand the word overly animated, amazingly animated, chainsaw man is literally the defenition of Brainrot xD turned my brain off and enjoyed this Chaos.

Charles Oliveira

Watching this in 3D was so goated I was cheezing the whole movie

Noah

16:45 Unadapted detail I really like, in the manga Reze sticks her hand into her right pocket while in the phone booth. She does the exact same thing when confronted with Makima in the alleyway at the end since she actually has a knife in her pocket. The implication is that she was going to kill Denji upon meeting him but got distracted/fell for him when he did the “magic trick” with the flower.

J Man

Sharknado... With MAPPA budget

PhaedrusRumple

If yall remember, you’re not suppose to touch the Angel devil. Touching him decreases your life span. Idk what sheera is talking about.

RedSunCrusher!!!

The time is getting closer for a certain character to feel the rage I have locked away for years your penance is almost here and soon I will have my revenge.

Coran

I’ve seen multiple interpretations of this and they all make sense. Some say it’s Denji caught in Reze’s web because the butterfly is poisonous and the spider dies after eating it. Some say that Makima is the spider, Reze is the butterfly, and Denji is the web because Makima kind of trapped Reze by using him.

BlueMop91

have they vids been skipping to yall?

Lena

let's go!!! watching this in the theatre was everything

Pxssive

HOLLLLLLYYY PEAKKKKK

eden

third time watching this. still peak

Mohd

and this is why recaps don't really do much, the angel devil sucks your lifespan away when you touch him skin on skin so thats how aki lost two months, i recommend yall actually rewatch jjk s1 and 2 before s3 since recaps really dont get the details you need to know, specially since s3 is one thats really gonna need you to be locked in

Casual

what if goku saved reze and killed makima???

YoungMonarch

what if jinwoo came and made makima a shadow

Nae

No

Nae

Lol I was like uhmmm ma'am where did you get that from 🤣

Lukas

if the angel devil touches u loses lifespan.

Lukas

losing*

Asher Ealey

10:00 This is how them rotten tomatos critics be moving before they give the worst and most inaccurate rating for a movie

A C

Fr it’s such a banger

Koifull

damn ya'll recap must of missed the special division devils, angel devil absorbs the lifespan of whoever he touches and the bird mask dude is the violence devil. wonder what happened to the spider devil tho

Dane

As a manga reader, coming back to see this in the anime is really damn emotional. The manga didn't actually impact me when I first read the chapters with Reze, but being caught up, yea it hurts.

Ukaede

Just the fact you've put so much thought into this is what worries me tbh lmao But you do you man !

Seibahhh

angel devil powers were explained in the movie too lmao

monokuma

this was probably better movie wise but demon slayer was more enjoyable imo. both were peak tho for sure.

Koifull

the lifespan thing wasnt mentioned was it?? cause all 3 of them were confused when aki asked him how much he took

Freikugel

Sheera has real life detective qualities, I swear. She is so perceptive.

Mervyn Larrier

I guess you read nothing i wrote. It's not just the fact that they look similar, it's that Reze is kept in a pretty sexual nature the entire film. She's literally just wearing an apron in her Bomb form. The Volume 6 cover featuring her, she's wntirely nude. It's not just that they look the same, it's that he keeps them in a similar context.

RedSunCrusher!!!

If you're a manga reader then you know who I'm talking about I'm trying not to spoil anything that's why I'm being vague on who I'm talking about.

blitzman08

I fucking hate Makima

Mervyn Larrier

So no, someone out there looking like me doesn't mean i have a connection to them. But that's also not the argument i was ever making, so it's irrelevant anyway. Keep the strawman in the shed.

Koji

this fucking show is so damn tragic, seeing denji not meeting reze, a girl who finally wanted to embrace that she liked him get taken away from him like that. shit is rough😭

PhaedrusRumple

Wrong. Aki had 2 years left to live, not 2 months in season 1.

Mervyn Larrier

If I'm going to think about something, I'm going to think about it deeply. That's all 🤷🏾‍♂️

Malorie Zavala

Denji thinks reze actually left and reze thinks Denji set her up🫩🥹✌️

Atlas Creation

“We’re refreshed” forgets that angel takes lifespan away and that aki has only 2 years to live…

Mervyn Larrier

Also, it's not a character. It's a video. I provided the name in a previous. If you're going to argue with me, at least make sure you're on the same page as me. So far you've only argued what you think I've said, and haven't referenced anything i actually said. Try doing the latter.

Coran

I love how funny y’all are but sometimes I wish you would just admire the beauty of a scene instead of just constantly joking over it. The pool scene was a highlight of the movie and it feels like yall barely appreciated it because you’re too busy trying to joke or make future predictions about what’ll happen.

godUsoland

Shame y'all skipped the Ending Song, "Jane Doe". Kenshi Yonezu and Hikaru Utada absolutely KILLED IT!

Layo

The reason why Aki lost 3 months was because he touched angels skin. Angels power is that if he touches you , he absorbs your life span

Layo

This is a MASSIVE spoiler , delete ts

hglizzy

now how the hell did yall get this????

Ahridva

Reze doesnt think that, not sure I will elaborate since it may be a spoiler

Ahridva

Denji no lucky in love

YaBoyRoshi

dont make assumptions, everyone consumes and appreciates media differently. Being quiet or talking has no effect over how we feel. I actually even commented how beautiful one of the shots was.

Ahridva

Shhhh they dont know that yet

Andres Rojas

Saw it in 4dx and lemme tell y’all them seats tossed my ass up 60 percent of the movie 10/10 experience

Ahridva

When I was watching the movie in theater it felt exactly like each panel come to life it was beautiful to watch.

Malorie Zavala

Oh shoot! I thought it was okay to say it on here and he also asked what devil she is. My bad😭

violentruby

I doubt she thinks that. She knows Makima is a manipulative "witch" and why would Denji revive her and let her go at the beach just to entrap her later with no guarantee that she would go to the cafe lol

YaBoyRoshi

this is not possible. We are human, we dont have the capability to produce all the reactions you guys want while simultaneously re watching everything we have already watched to be ready to watch more. This is an insane ask. The best we can do is watch recaps and refresh as we go!

Anon7524

1:20:02 if you think moving would help, wait till you see what they did to Michigan and Oregon 😂

YaBoyRoshi

Thanks for clearing that up for us!

blvckriot

It ain’t that deep. Just let them enjoy how they want!

Sam

I watch the reactions for the jokes. Is the same feeling of watching with your friends at home.

Malorie Zavala

Pretend you didn’t see anything🙂‍↕️

Malorie Zavala

True! I just said that because it’s just a sad thought to think about. But yes again I agree with you.

J Man

Wish we would have gotten more Reze though. She was fun.

Mohd

I understand, i expected this to be the case with yalls schedule but one could hope, as an alternative then id recommend you watch a recap that’s as detailed as you can find regardless of how long it could get as, to be completely fair you could get lost very easily in the next season, i know i was since i read that part without really having refreshed myself so i only understood it fully on a second read

Mozart Waddell

There most popular video on their YouTube that isn't a skit is the finale of the Entertainment District fight which took 2 weeks to him 1M. I believe a week isn't unachievable especially with the growth of their channel.

grodon909

Man, this was AMAZING in IMAX. I can't express how great a viewing experience this was, and was seriously considering going right back in and watching it again.

Hi How are ya

makima literally explains it when shes talking to aki about angel. idk how all 3 of them missed it or how u also missed it smh

sip

Btw, that butterfly is a monarch, a poisonous one

naa

Honestly I feel like jjk is a show where you don’t need to remember every single minute detail to fully engage with it. It’s not like severance or Link Click where missing a tiny detail will cook you. If you’re familiar enough with shonen story arcs (and these guys are to the point where some people delusionally assume they pre watch) you’ll honestly be fine with a regular recap

Carlos

Movie was so goddamn loud in the theater I watched it in and was so overwhelming I somehow didn't notice Beam is voiced by Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro/Okarun). It's super goddamn obvious now lol.

Emily Aster

Makima's speech at the end about how the country mouse ends up dying as well is honestly top 10 chainsaw man monologues, it's so heartbreaking man.

Cool The Wrathful

Such a great movie. Reminding everyone that there are three types: Devils embody the fear of a specific thing (Angel Devil, Fox Devil), Fiends are dead bodies taken over by Devils (Power and Beam), and Hybrids are people who can transform into Devils (Denji, Katana Man, Reze) Can't wait for season 2

Krype

Skipping Jane Doe at the end is a crime 😤

Mohd

Id agree for most cases but for the upcoming arc it relies heavily on knowledge introduced from way back and also the power system gets really complex and expands so if you’re not really understanding who is doing what in fights and what this and that does, aside from the story it also will take from understanding the fights and what is happening, this isn’t new to them as they’ve been lost multiple times on jjk fights and i completely understand why as it is a complex system, which is why i recommended this in the first place

J Man

I kinda want an alternate path where Denji follows Reze. Because I feel like Makima is up to no good. The show is setting Makima up to be bad news with how they be holding her power from us (and I'm assuming she's a devil? Unless she's all-for-one with the contracts but she doesn't seem to be giving anything up)

Fijith1

Can’t wait for jjk it’s going to be peak hikari on top 🔝

Koifull

Oh damn you right lol my bad 😅.

Satanael

I wanna stress how much Denji was NOT holding back in that fight bruh. Reze was just that strong.

J Man

Bomb devil being Russian definitely makes sense. The Gun Devil HAS to be MURICA!!! 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

Niyi

One of my fav arcs in the manga, what are great adaptation

Krype

Manga readers trying not to subtly spoil challenge *impossible*

Krype

I understand that scene is my favorite but everyone reacts differently and that’s completely fine

Taheah Shahdaiah

Angel devil takes your lifespan if you touch his skin. When Aki touched his hand it took 2 months of his life.

J Man

Reze and dude from Inuyashiki would make a good couple... Bang 💣

miz

it's heavily implied in this movie, and it seems like Roshi caught on

R

It's easy to read manga a bit too fast to absorb everything, even when you're tryna take your time. This movie forced us to take in stuff at a pace that really let everything sink in. Even though I like this arc, prior to this movie it felt like mostly like a setup for the upcoming arcs. Now it really stands on its own while still putting us in just the right headspace for what's next.

Naw1n

Hiro...

mrbojangelz

Chainsaw man is a series that gets progressively better. Season 1 and the Reze arc are actually the weakest parts of Chainsaw man part 1.

J Man

Is it just me? Or did Reze get thicc'er after she henshin'd into Bomb Reze?

naomi

wish reze was a main character in the anime, her devil powers are so dope. went out way too soon but she’s still best girl

naomi

you gotta remember that this isn’t a movie theater. they won’t sit in silence and gaze at the shots. you pay for reactions and this is how they react. them complimenting the shots should tell you that they appreciate it

Krype

DS movie felt so incomplete especially since they are splitting it up the reze arc fit perfectly plus it didn’t drag and have twenty flashbacks in between fights but hey nice colors and good animation doe

J Man

She's shawty Bakugo! At max power!

Krype

Not really

R

Not sure if this is the one you're thinking of, but Kenshi's channel dropped an AMV for the song (as a dual drop with either Hikaru or MAPPA) with lyrics that you can activate in the CCs. The way they edit shots from the movie to enhance the lyrics makes it hit even harder. Listened to it so many times it ended up in my YouTube recap 😅

Arz.09

Yoo these guys are so analytical And smart bruh, I ain’t notice the grenade pin till later on and I ain’t think about the fireworks covering up noise

Dantene

Let em know! Every chapter I think we've peaked, and Fujimoto keeps making me eat those words!

Jsm

Nah. They aren’t gonna delete an entire vid they already said they were making just cause one guy got angry about spoilers. part 1 was 4 years ago brother everyone has had plenty of time.

Royal Lucario

are we going to get a reaction to the demon slayer or overlord movies in the future?

Paden Snell

I kinda wish they woulda left reze's name and the bomb devil out of the promotional material. I know its not THAT SNEAKY about her not being what she first seems even in the manga. But yall calling it on her being the bomb devil as soon as she came in the phone booth killed me. Lol.

Pan Cakes

sad thing is she actually liked denji 😭

R

Apparently, Crunchyroll didn't want to split the vote between Demon Slayer and Chainsaw Man, so they didn't campaign for Chainsaw Man, and opted to just submit Demon Slayer for consideration.

Panda

The spider and the moth was a sign but also i think a bit genuine. I think that was also denji actually falling for her and being represented that way too. It wen't from this chick is hot to i'm so in love just like that.

R

I totally forgot about Lupa's "You know the plan...It's a CHAINsaw MANNNNN." 😆Someone needs to do a supercut of those

Mozart Waddell

Since I see it Roshi making his rounds in the comment section. Can we get confirmation that Record of Ragnarok can at the very least be considered for a reaction.

Nick Vaughn

It wasn’t the future sight that made Aki lose two months off his life, it was directly touching Angel that did it because that’s apart of their ability. Touching Angel can literally cause someone to die

Oscar Barcelo

One punch man fans punching the air right now. ( me)

Spriggz

Thanks for y’all’s sacrifice by not watching this (and hopefully Demon Slayer) in theaters. Really appreciate the reactions.

Spriggz

Damn I need the rest of this show to be animated. I want to hear spoiler talk so bad lol

Darion Dixon

Lol you not gonna get it if haven't been watching for a while but when roshi looked at lupa when denji and reze was in the pool naked he was saying "why we never do that together". had me dying. They really built a community with hella inside jokes

Unknown

power the only real friend he got lmao

Jigga Man

Oh damn, so that's why he asked how much of his life was taken when he touch him to save him

Jigga Man

It's been doing a weird rewind thing

DIOR

Is Lupa okay? he gonna need a 5 hour energy for the demon slayer movie reaction that shit damn near 3 hours and he been out of it lately

Omar Bautista

11:50 someone get roshi on maplestar and see the theater short

Ezra

I’m sure someone in the comments said it already but touching Angel Devil’s skin is what drains your life span. Aki touching his hand to save him is what took off 4 months of his life.

MrOuijaII

Honestly I don’t think there is anyway around it, call it the “bomb devil arc/movie” and people are still going to assume the one singular new character is likely said bomb devil lol Also with how popular (and old) CSM part 1 is, probably a good thing to lean into what fans are here to see, and that’s Reze animated

Joni

yeah i think i heard somewhere that when u turn into devil power ur body becomes more 'mature'

Kisuke01

Beam is the best part of this movie cause wtf was dude doing smooving on them 😂

Tsuki

In the movie or season 3? Still haven’t seen the movie

J Man

1:01:55 Did they literally just shove Kobemi in here just so they could animate her ugly-crying? MAPPA really likes animating this ladying sobbing wet 😭

MrOuijaII

Movie is great, glad this arc is out the way and gives the inevitable season 2 more time to spend on the really insane stuff, if not wrap up part 1 as a whole. It really only gets crazier from here.

Paden Snell

Yeah but the Manga readers already know what time it was about to be. Title it something so that anime only peeps get some sort of chance at being surprised.

J Man

Missile Rider Kick is insane!

A1_MiLFshAkE

First half: peak romance Second half: Michael Bay’s Sharknado “Absolute Cinema” Seeing this arc get adapted and surpassing the source was such a joy to see & the 1st movie I’ve ever watched in theaters where I had to see it again after bc it was so good can’t wait for y’all to see y’all at “IA arc” in 2028 😭✌️

Paden Snell

Denji's physique definitely looks beefier in chainsaw man mode than it does in the pool shots

J Man

Ah, makes sense. The "devil" taking over.

Paden Snell

Would kill for the "denji runs away with reze" path. Its been like 6 years or something and I still wish author would write reze back in....

Paden Snell

I agree with u krype. But also pointing out that its spoilers also only makes it more obvious.

Mr. Every

It’d be like four episodes. Not even… it’d be like five.

Xemnas27

Reze got the Bombussy 💀

Zeckrack

My goat reze🥹💔

bleach

All me and my homies hate Makima

JadonTheEternal

Gun Devil Expedition, call that Expedition .50

Oliver

1:12:32 Perfect timing Lupa It's so fucked that the first girl Denji kissed vomited in his mouth and second bit his tongue off The reason Aki lost 2 months is since anybody that touches the Angel Devil will have their life drained 1:31:58 Gave me PTSD from the Manga XD

Bria A.

Me and Lupa: "But...the civilians...the property damage..."

Tearonex

I miss her already again.... 😔

DIOR

Movies carrying the channel right now cuz a lot of them live actions on the schedule ain’t hitting. Thankfully anime is returning to peak form next month

Generous wallet

Our boy the Violence fiend did the best he could with that kick and dipped out pronto before things were about to get ugly XD

tygspeedy

mappa said oh u like mass destruction? here’s this 😭😭

Mavie

I don’t think Kobeni was playing a ruse when her legs gave out, she’s just got that heavy anxiety flow lmao 😭

Koji

I think the red flower at 1:30:59 was also symbolic to what's to come compared to the white flower that's always shown with Denji

Delinda Arts

This was absolutely phenomenal and that makes me worry about he staff at MAPPA 😢 Hope they not grinding them down to the bone with this and JJK back to back

Co

it's ok Lupa. I cry too a lot. Nothing wrong with feeling the emotions, my friend.

Badman

The crazy part is this anime is going to get even more insane 🤣

Kwaku Afari

Ah third time's the pain

MAW

Physical contact with the Angel Devil lowers one's lifespan, it was mentioned before.

Antonio Lopez

idk if someone else mentioned it yet. But at 34:40 when they show that spider and butterfly.. apparently that's supposed to be a monarch butterfly which those type are said to prey on spiders and they're also poisonous. So not only did the Butterfly fall for the spider trap the spider also fell to the butterfly which is why they are not moving... they're both dead. Meaning they are both screwed lol

Jarren Jenkins

Truly sensational. Can't wait to see how they animate the future arcs! This had some damn good scenes in it.

Step Joe

Cant expect them react like they arent in the company of friends while filming themselves for others to enjoy🤷‍♂️. Its a totally different viewing experience

Ian Hover

In my opinion that spider scene isn’t about denji being trapped. It’s about reze. It’s easy to think he’s the one being caught in her web until the end and then it all clicked for me. Denji is the spider. His love is the web and she wasn’t ready for it until she was caught. Even the way he won the battle was by pulling her close and diving in water like the pool scene. Reze could’ve survived and went about her business as usual but for some reason this one time she caught feelings for denji and that cost her her life

Ian Hover

My interpretation exactly. The symbolism is beautiful

Austin Flores

Almost 1000 likes the day of the upload is crazy. The MOVIE IS JUST THAT MUCH OF A CINEMA PIECE

Frazão

The way I see it, the spider and the butterfly in the web can simbolize Denji falling for Reze or the other way around, Reze starting to actually like Denji

Ian Hover

I hate the fact that denji never found out why reze didn’t show. Just another drop in the bucket of disappointment and sadness for the life of denji

Step Joe

Read the manga 3 times and never connected the Typhoon Devil to symbolize a baby having a tantrum. Nice😎

Gucci Pucci

1:37:40 Sheera is right here, that’s what Makima told Reze in a roundabout way in that last conversation. She tells her that on the countryside the farmers use dogs to root out the mice so they don’t damage the crops/harvest, makima is the farmer, denji the dog and Reze the country mouse coming to the city, falling for the city mouse and being killed. She was the one webbed up in the net

DJ Muldrow

Leaving hints for other manga readers isn’t the fucking same as spoiling it for non-readers, they don’t know wtf I’m talking about. You pointing it out only makes it more obvious, I was literally only trying to make people think about what makima does.

Goofyaah

1:24:00 “fuck it, let’s both die”. Gives the same energy as, I hate you nigga let’s die 😂

Stephen Delong

Yall skipping the credit song is a fucking crime 😭

JJ

No way they did that

Voresude

Just to clarify, the Angel Devil steals the life of anyone he touches involuntarily. That's why Aki was holding his shirt at first. In the brief time he held his hand, Angel absorbed two months of his two years of life he had left after using the Curse Devil sword.

Emerys

Peak

barefoot

beam is the goat

BiscuitS7

So I know they didn't listen to the ending song (y'all nedd to listen to it) but for the others, is the ending song and the song that Reze sings in Russian is related because she said "Jane" ?

Krype

That person isn’t the first to make similar comments others have seen it and are eventually going to put two and two together like just be quiet you’re not cool for reading the manga

WTT_321

This and Demon Slayer Infinity Castle are my favorite anime movies to enjoy from this year....! Which makes me wonder why Demon Slayer movie hasn't been released yet, unless if they're gonna do the Mugen Train route and release it a year later or so..... Not Sheera accidentally name dropping Demon Hunters at 53:26 😂

Dyastro123

Roshi, you should put this under the "CSM" tag rather than just "Chainsawman" Edit: Since this movie isn't under the same tag as season 1

James Small

At first I thought Reze was trying to catch them off guard when she asked for a break, talking about how she was "almost naked." Then I thought about how fast she searched for panties in the middle of the fight, and I think Reze was actually embarrassed having her cheeks and coochie out lmao Funny thing is, she prolly could've distracted Denji enough to win if she still had her ass out.

Frazão

When you touch angel you lose lifespan, that's why Aki lost 2 months

Inconspicuous Pug

The Spider and Butterfly symbolism is so good cause in the pool scene it’s Reze who trapped Denji in her spider web but by the end of the movie it was Denji who trapped Reze. And ppl say that the butterfly is poisonous so even though Reze entrapped him, her fate was sealed too by falling for him. Also trying to literally rob Dennis heart by figuratively stealing it is just ✋😮‍💨🤚

Jalen Holmes

W reaction and peak movie. I cant wiat for yall to see infinity castle whenever that releases! Yalls reaction is gonna be great. Peak movies 🗣🗣🗣

Panda D Tobs

The moth or butterfly that was getting trapped in the spiderweb is actually said to be poisionus. So it was a metaphor to show that both was killing each other. Meaning, at the swim pool scene, it wasn't only Denji that fell in love but Reze too, I would say more Reze falling in love than Denji since he was always into her. PS- Denji never finds out Reze came back to the cafe

David James

They do that sometimes, I thought it was for copyright reasons but idk.

David James

Ballad of a Soldier (the "oscar bait" movie) was a soviet war movie from the 50s. Fujimoto probably watched a lot of good movies.

Royal Lucario

Angel devil cant come in contact with skin or he steals their lifespan (context for why they were confused)

ShaquanVirse

it does lead to the other tags

Dyastro123

It didn't at first for me, maybe it took a while to update?

Co

When she cut her head off, a body grew from the head and she used the headless body as a bomb. That's why the buns were out (because the body that grew from the head had no clothes).

jccyui

I remember I jerked off to the swimming pool scene in theater and cum on the guy sitting in front of me. Luckily he thought it was the 4d effect of water from that scene and didn’t find out the truth

Co

And no. The angel reduces the lifespan of those he touches, I believe. That's why Aki's lifespan decreased by 2 months - because he touched his hand.

Yourboy Gman

Reze is a hybrid devil like Denji were as Beam is a fiend so a devil that took over a dead body

iTanasia

reze vs bakugou

Casual

Roshi’s “alright bitch” had be fucking dead😭😭😭

GoddessHex

Seeing this got me hyped up for the demon slayer movie reaction i cant waiiiiit

Sarah 승윤

Thanks for the reaction! This movie is just so peak, but the experience at the theaters just hits different lmao so I appreciate your sacrifice. Fun fact, when Nomo (the superior with red hair and the scar) said Reze looked familiar, it's because her face was on the newspaper as a child war-weapon of Russia

6CatsInAnAlley

When I saw this in theaters the power went out after Denji asked Reze to meet him at the cafe so I’m glad I finally got to see the rest lol

Marcus⭐️

Bro that scene when they were falling through the typhoon and the camera was spinning… was awesome in 4DX in Theaters 🤣 I looked to the nigga next to me and said “bro we’re IN the fight”

kai. 🩶

baby shark doo doo doo doo doo doo

Coatl45

2 things: 1) Denji has the absolute worst luck with women. And 2) Reze is the one that fumbled the bag, not Denji. Everyone talks about how Denji fumbled Reze, but in my opinion, it was Reze that messed up.

Coran

It’s all good, just a personal preference because the scene really resonated with me and it was hard to tell if y’all cared since there was a lot of laughing over it. It was still a W reaction overall and y’all have the best reaction content out there so no worries.

TChang23

She messed up but in the end I don’t think it would’ve mattered whether she did or not because makima probably would’ve found a way to stop her regardless which makes it way more tragic in my opinion because even if they had both agreed to runaway they wouldn’t have gotten very far

Coran

I did catch Roshi complimenting the shot there just wasn’t really anything about the main sequence being said so that’s why I couldn’t tell, it was a minor misunderstanding so it’s all good

Coatl45

True, there’s no avoiding the tragedy. I just wanted to point out that Denji wasn’t the one that messed up in this situation. The boy takes enough Ls as it is. Wanted him to at least get this W.

Terry zhao

chainsaw man is never beating the gooner allegations 😂😂

SirGeel

That was fire!!!!!!!!! i was hooked from start to finish. where did you find this movie?? Reze was an absolute demon!!!! Cant wait for yall to watch Infinity Castle.

Joni

reze can regenerate so reze wins

Michael Kaiser

I love how they changed the animation style to fit the manga more

TheMilkMan

Fun fact: I believe the chapter title for when Denji rides on Beam to fight the Typhoon is called Sharknado, Fujimoto is a huge cinephile, a lot of movie references in the manga.

Ertjon Bejko

They have to wait until it's out on CrunchyRoll, that'll probably be around early 2026

TheMilkMan

You guys misinterpreted the 2 month decrease on Aki, it's not Aki that did it, it was Angel, Angel drains life spans through skin contact, Aki grabbed his hand for a few seconds which resulted in 2 months being drained from Aki.

SlinkSiamang747

fujimoto genuinely hit that flow state with part 1

Trey

Makima only killed reze because she was going to take denji away. Reze would have lived if she got on the train. Just makima being territorial with her “toy”

aisha

this movie was phenomenal

The Artist

Bakugo is beating tf out of her. She can't regenerate if she runs out of blood

Tj Walker

I forgot this when I was watching too but you cannot make skin to skin contact with the angel devil without losing a portion of your lifespan. Aki grabbed his chest first to avoid that then grabbed the devil’s hand afterwards to save him even though he’d be losing some lifespan because he’s sick of watching death all the time

LycoReco

Reze such amazing character and I love her sm. Watching in the cinema made me fall so hard for her. Really sad such amazing character gone just like that. Makima really don't want any possible love interest get to Denji as it would hinder Denji attachment to Makima. Im scared for Power. She one of the closest and A GIRL.

Ash

Fr like let denji be happy 😭

Eren Jaeger

Fun fact: The Sharknado joke is actually accurate Fujimoto purposely did the Typhoon to reference Sharknado he’s a big film buff

Ilyas

The manga chapter is also actually called sharknado Pt i and Pt II

DJ Muldrow

Deleted my last comment, sorry to anyone that got spoiled 👍🏾

Daelus

Shoutout to the music too. Kensuke Ushio is a musical magician

Tsunemori Kiriko

I think Denji is the crops/harvest here, from Makima's perspective

Mozart Waddell

I wanna see more of Captain Kukushibo. I'm anime only and he's the only one I've seen ever threaten Makima. That was so scary in S1, for him though.

Gucci Pucci

I think she is protecting pochita‘s heart as »the crop«, makima made it pretty clear that denji is a dog of public service

Roberto luna

not sure if this was cleared up already, but what happened with Aki and the angel devil, Angel can drain human lives and turn it into weopons, so when Aki touched their hand, he drained two months from him

Mozart Waddell

I'm gonna have to start reading the manga now. I can't wait another 3 years and I waited for a World Trigger. So that should tell you I'm patient. I hope we get a Fire Punch anime release soon. I still have all my volumes from my local B&N but haven't read any of them yet because I thought we were getting a possible winter 2026 anime release. (World Trigger is finally releasing a new season. Repeat the drought is over World Trigger is returning. They're calling it World Trigger Reboot but hopefully its a new season. I wouldn't mind them redoing S1 with improved animation and wayyyyy better pacing)

earthphoenix7068

Hopefully they read this but if not they’ll find out eventually since I think he appears again. It was just a while since they finished S1

El Rigo

Makima waving her coffee cup to the rhythm of Rezes song

Mozart Waddell

This was an amazing reaction. Now onto finishing my binge of Roshi and Sheera current Love is Blind stream reactions 😁 (Side question how did you guys prevent yourselves from getting spoiled on the Reze Arc. I don't follow or search anything Chainsaw Man related but was spoiled over 10x 10 months prior to film even being announced. YouTube short reels for the most part)

Terry zhao

Power got kill by Makima btw

PersonaFyde

Only thing wrong with this movie was the spoilery intro it really did give too much away. Although the title is also kind of a give away.

Mozart Waddell

Last post but if anyone want to pick Chainsaw Man up and continue right after the Reze Arc start with Vol 7

The Dude

I noticed that too but wasn’t sure if I was trippin or not. 🤯

myel

yeah but we have to wait 10 years each for 12 episodes lmao

KalkiTheEternity

Denji was not holding back LOL. He was thoroughly getting his ass beat the entire time but his persistence and ingenuity got him the W. And yeah, Reze was deadass about running away with Denji.

ryanapplegos

Reze wins because she's a girl and I like her more

FruitsPunchS

Cinema, I gotta be honest tho: I give it 9.5/10. I already knew the storyline from the manga, and outside of the fights and the pool scene, the animation was.... fine. People gassed it up like it was peak animation from start to finish. Still great tho.

Mr.Guy

67? Also phenomenal movie saw it in theaters was definitely a good experience

ryanapplegos

A cool detail that I think gets swept over by Makima's creepy ass answer to the country/city mouse question is the fact that her saying that means that Makima was listening to their conversation in the school. It reminds me of when Reze's singing on the roof and we get cutaways of different scenes, one of which is Makima looking out at the rain and swaying her coffee back and forth. Was she listening to her sing, too?

Tripleflipb

This movie got me hating makima more than anything else bro. Reze was such a sick character over the course of the movie, and watching her shut it down has me fully turned against her. I hope she gets shot again fr

Bell Arclide

Absolutely no offense to you guys but whatever recap you watched apparently left out some crucial details lol

Landez97

She's the bomb

FruitsPunchS

Ngl I also dozed off in some of the yap. Maybe it's because I already knew what's gonna happen, but yeah.

DIOR

The movie has a LOT of yap and it’s one of its flaws because they were forced to put so much into film format for a single film so it might be a wrap for him lol

Yimmy Yurner

mane was gettin sauced up to the code lyoko ost

Mavie

Roshi acknowledged it in a previous comment 👍🏾

Drey

“Makima is listening”

The Artist

They need to send your ass to slavery im being so deadass

Slujan2

During her pull up to Public Safety, there werent multiple of her really. She threw the head, it exploded and her devil form formed from that body part, while she still had control over the non devil headless body that she used as a remote explosive. Thats how she was "already in there" when she was munchin on that one guy on the wall. Think back to Kaiju #8 when Kafka was fighting Shinomiya and he threw his core to regenerate behind him to get a sneak attack in Also yeah, due to censorship issues, she had to "just find some underwear"

Mr.Guy

Dawg that was literally probably the best animation of this year what do you mean😭

Mr.Guy

His feelings probably caused him to hold back a little bit but even if he didn’t reze would have still beat his ass regardless the gap in skill was just to big

Mr.Guy

Listening huh🤔

Boogie

This nigga said pootie tang 😭😭😭😭

Kami

Also when reze found out makima had influence over denji she was like there's nothing we could have done to get away anyway. Ayo what does THAT mean? She's got something inside him or something.

FruitsPunchS

The fights and the pool scene are 10/10. The rest are like 9/10 at best.

charmaine

I read this part in the manga back in 2022 but this movie proves my memory is trash bc I did not remember any of this 😭 I only recalled her devil form but everything else I kept asking myself “when did this happen”

Rozay31

bro stfu why are you spoiling

Taj

i subbed to the patreon just for this

AresReborn

No they literally cannot run away from her she has influence in very high places she’s so powerful she can get the devil hunter agency to make sure her powers don’t ever get leaked to the public so she can manipulate the media as well she’s got crazy pull and also I don’t want to spoil anything so I’m going refrain from saying anymore than that this is all info that’s already been revealed

EJ Katt

Aki lost 2 months because he touched Angel's hand. Angel Devil saps lifeforce through touch. For Reze fighting the Devil Hunters, her real self erupted out of the headbomb she through into the building. Which is why she was naked. Her former body became a remote control bomb I guess.

MaxedOut01

The next three arcs are all absolute bangers

MonarchXIII

Loved the reaction y'all but the recap apparently wasn't it lmao. So here's some extra details: 1) Beam cannot heal the same way or at least as fast because he's a fiend (devil possessing a corpse). Denji and Reze are hybrids (human/devil) which are immortal. This was explained in S1. 2) Angel involuntarily steals lifespan from anyone he touches. Which is what happened when Aki touched him. This was also explained in S1. 3) Kobeni was actually just scared. She's a demon in combat and naturally gifted at it but because she's a girl failure scaredy cat she freezes most of the time. Lastly, idc what Reze did. My girl deserves the world. Especially after the life she's had to lead.

Imagine

I wanna thank you guys for waiting to watch these movies. This was an amazing movie and the DS movie will be great to see with yall again too. Also, during the movie scene, in the first theatre they were at you can see a guy with the scout emblem on his shirt from AOT

Imagine

And Bakugo's dead the moment he runs out of sweat. What're explosions going to do against the Bomb Devil?

iTanasia

he never runs out of sweat? his whole thing is the longer he is fighting, the more powerful he gets

MonarchXIII

Nah I agree with you there. I just don't really care cause I'm a bit of a Reze fanboy lol. Although she isn't my favourite character in the entire series.

Jojo_avena

This was such an amazing film with the story-telling and animation. It was so sad seeing Aki lose more of his time with just touching the angel devil which resulted into draining his lifespan. Leaving Aki with instead of 2 years it subtracted 2 months away, then there is Reze realizing she had feelings for Denji last second. Possibly with him assuming she left him behind and Reze thinking she got set up from Denji. Tragic ending but beautiful. No spoilers ofc but I had to read n finish all of part 1 and man Season 2 is gonna be amazing. 10/10 on 4th rewatch

James Small

I get what you're saying, but it's way funnier to think she zoomed to a store real quick to grab some panties then came back.

zay

don’t forget virginia 😭

Tempheror

Ngl, s1 of chainsaw man had me feeling a little mixed about the show, but when I saw this in the imax, it blew my soul outta my body. Real hype for whatever's next. Mappa is really the goat now.

Robert Rodriguez

There's a lot that might get missed. But one thing to note is Makima said "I liked the country mouse too." Implying she heard Reze say that at school. How did she hear that? Also Reze in fact did like Denji yeah. And Roshi is very spot on. Makima doesn't care for Denji. She cares for the Chainsaw Man. When she pressed at his heart, her hand moved to the ripcord he has.

Ross

thank you, Mozart

woahmikey

Fire movie and dope animation! I wanna jump on the manga but I’ve seen enough spoilers to just wait till the next season lol Which is why every move or word that Makima does is sus haha

woahmikey

I hope the editor adds that on the YouTube upload lol

SasHardd

Imagine spreading fake news

supremetheG

so you gave it a 9 and a 10 and you said it’s just fine…? wtf does that even mean

silly raccoon

shounen fans a diff breed of ungrateful 😭

Majinlui

bROOO watching this in the 4DX was so insane, best time I ever had. Hands down on the list for another amazing Anime Movie. The Wind and Rain from the Typhoon Devil in the theater were crazy, Lol.

obito6ix

unpopular opinion but i loved the first half more than the second. That pool scene man. Nothing but pure raw emotion, so innocent. Poor denji man.

Coran

Yeah Lupa lowkey always looking sleepy during reactions when there’s not a fight actively going on 😭

Raventerrace

when I read this in the manga I was like wtf but seeing this shit animated is insanely good

Raventerrace

fk yea I need me a poster of 1:19:49 to put up in my room that's so tuff

FancyTurtle I’m happy pséftis

That type of butterfly kills those who eat it. Consider it a forbidden fruit, one which Reze unfortunately fell for

Carlo Marasigan

Beam is so much more useful than Power. 😆

Rye

W reaction to a w movie

fili0938

I don't think it's so unpopular.

fili0938

Aki had less than 5 years and lost 2 months.

Nigel Douglas

roshi moving from tokyo to shibuya lmao

Jojo_avena

Ohh CRAP ur right my bad ngl I assumed the worst n misread it having 2 months left to live. Appreciate that

Xemnas27

Yall think Reze can throw it back with the force of an explosion?

Daniel Daniel

Watching this in the theatres was crazy, respect to you guys for saving it for the theatres

SageTheChosen

She actually really liked him she was serious when she said run away with me. She was playin living her best life with him so much that her Partner Typhoon tried to kill her because she wasnt executing the plan on Denji.

Sam

Does aki not reflect on sharkboy lying to him about reze and then saying he was forced by makima? Also he’s forced to tell the truth again by the angel devil about chainsaws power, why does he have that knowledge and from where? 🤔 something is very fishy On top of that i don’t get denji as a character at all, in the phone booth he was about to drink the nasty liquid left in the can filled with cigarette buns, he’s obviously so self persevering of his physical needs but he can’t do the same for his own heart? Reze offered him a way out and he wasn’t even trying to go

SageTheChosen

Angel is real confusing. He said he hates humans, and that they should all suffer when they die. But when that lady was dying and he gave her blood to Denji, he was as respectful and comforting as he could possibly be. Knowing he looks like and Angel and telling her its okay she will go to heaven knowing he knows nothing about that. Wow.

PJ Rivera

I hope you guys do predator badlands when it comes to digital

SageTheChosen

Angel cant be touched, if you touch him, he takes you life away, Aki saving Angel took 2 months of his life span just touching him for like 10 seconds.

Ari Ramirez

And to think that this isn't even close to being the largest fight in the series

blud

amazing movie man ive read the manga till like part 2 somewhere i dont remember, i stopped, but goddamn this anime is something else

Inphers

He is both an Angel and a Devil, it's weird but he has conflicting natures.

Diesel Sawyers

He’s more conflicting than confusing, he in essence is a conflicted being who is both sides of the same coin both an angel and a devil

xLithion

These guys thought kobeni was faking lol, nahh shes just a coward

A C

Nah for real such a beautiful showcase of vulnerability and love. One of the best in modern media for sure.

Ares

No, Aki had only 2 years left and the angel devil did not make it into two months but rather took 2 months from that 2 years lifespan. Reze also had feelings for Denji and they confirmed that when Denji was asking why she didn't blow him up on sight. Reze was conflicted and decided to go with the mission when Denji rejected her offer which broke her heart.

A C

Another thing is I doubt she thought Denji set her up in the alley since she saw him in the window with flowers probably more likely she realized he was still waiting for her

Devaunta

Yea but it as he keeps saying he likes the life he has. He doesn’t see it the same way we do.

Fijith1

Think they might add him In the movie if not maybe the first few eps in season 3

Jalen

nahhh you see the combos Reze was throwin? I'm a coward there xD

Austin Busumbru

The reason why Aki's lifespan decreased was that he touched the Angel Devil's hand. The Angel Devil drains the lifespans of those who make contact with him.

OGC

If any thing will I cut point from will be the story animation is 10/10 still whole movie 8-8.5/10 for me

OGC

Music and animation what made this movie great to me so I will wait for the anime

Jose Ortiz

Idk wut recaps they be watching bro cause they ain’t remember NONE of the fiends 😭

Mozart Waddell

I just wished they announced it's in production at least. I managed somehow with waiting for JJK and Re: Zero. CSM is really scratching that itch for me though. It's advertised so well in my local bookstores too with huge cutouts and poster giveaways. The temptation 😞

Byron Wright

"Kobeni, she's stronger than US. WE have to run".

Xemnas27

Bro why did I knew they were gonna do the MJ meme when Makima told Reze “Stop it lil sis” 😭

Kami

This is a fujimoto story bro, people are just cattle to be slaughtered for the story 😂 our whole team is devils who dont REALLY care about human lives. Maybe aki but if it meant killing the gun devil? I think even he would do anything civilian deaths or not 💀

moonfae

def my favorite movie of the year besides sinners. this shit was phenomenal

KingDom

Them saying this is weird oooo boy this series is anything but normal. An it’s going to get even weirder

Rin Okumura

If the devil power lvl is = to fear than Makima has to be 1 of the primordial demons or should I say devil. Either the concept of Death or Darkness since she's lacking that emotion aspect.

Ekko08

I was hoping to see her and Angel turn up. But honestly I don't blame Kobeni because what am I going to do to a walking bomb 😭

Ekko08

I think there was an interview or something explaining that they would release a digital next year due to how successful Infinity Castle did in theatres. I'm not sure when though I believe it's supposed to be in the early months

The Artist

Chill on the president

hokeypokey

Depends on the world of the show I guess since I'd say people fear guns more then demons

Certifiedan3

I still can’t get over Tanjiro’s voice actor is playing someone like Beam

Trist9n

10/10 I forgot how good CSM was. The animators put they're heart's into this omg bro.

General Grevious

Believe it or not, it only goes downhill from here😭 (Edit: I meant it’s gonna get wayy more depressing)

Patrone07

Sheera was fighting for her life tryna get that spider web detail to roshi lol

hokeypokey

Unlucky they didn't remember that since feel like it gives the scene a lot more meaning xD

Ale X

Watching in 4DX and Dolby was definitely the way to go about it. The soundscape was just incredible.

sunreyes

Also you can see her swinging her mug to the beat of Reze singing lol

Didier

Maybe you missed it, but the angel devil "kills" (he has no choice) people by touching them. Hence why you need to touch him through an object or a tissue. Touching his naked skin will shorten your lifespan.

T

A small detail I can't remember being in the manga that I REALLY liked, during the montage when Reze's singing in Russian. After she sips her coffee, Makima starts swinging her cup in tandem with Reze's singing.

EFFect_Phantom

Nah we got a few more arcs trust 🤞

Krype

Jjk isn’t that deep plus this arc is where all the writing falls apart anyways

Mohd

This arc’s got great writing idk wtf ur on about 💀 maybe you skim read or something.. shinjuku showdown arc is the one that falls off towards the end

Diamond Eyes

Denji having gay thoughts about Angel is the funniest shit ever.

MayMay

I watched this movie in a movie theater, and every explosion was giving me whiplash because I sat next to a speaker lmaoo, I should have known better. It was amazing, though, especially those scenes with Reze and the rainbow explosions.

st

Love hearing Tanjiro as a gigantic shark with legs.

SageTheChosen

Yall peep that Makima knew their country mouse conversation and she wasnt there?

Leandro Da Silva

Aki lost two months because he grabbed angels hand, any skin to skin contact with Angel rapidly drains your lifespan, even for a second like aki did

CK12341

wdym? like quality wise? or just how crazy it gets?

Yuji Glazer

It’s just wild to me that yall sniped that shit 16 minutes into the movie, talking bout she’s a bomb lmaooo huh bruh

rayman

I saw this in theaters with my friend and we accidentally selected the 3D version and it was the most incredible animation I’ve ever seen and it’s not even close. the 3D made everything better, on a big screen it was just so shocking how amazing every scene looked. the pool sequence with the music was a peak anime moment

Paleo_Geo

I don’t know if you guys catch on to the symbolism of the spider web, but it’s prey was a monarch butterfly. A poisonous butterfly. In trying to catch its prey, the spider got itself killed

Paleo_Geo

How depressing it gets

Paleo_Geo

Why do you expect a kid who’s never had a normal life, and confused genuine love with physical lust to know what’s best for his heart ?? The whole point is that he doesn’t know any better because he’s being manipulated at every turn

Bocchi in Shadow

This was the most insane fight ever. I initially thought that this would be a straight romantic story but... damn. Reze was out here speedblitzing everyone. Bitch moving so fast I would be like Denji too... can't even think what to do with her ass. Makima came in and just wrapped it up like alright yall, movies over. Idk what's next now.

Sam

Because people who are self preserving usually are more cautious and calculating. If you grew up sometimes given love/attention/care and at times not then i definitely understand how you could grow up yearning for love. From what I’ve seen though, when people are completely neglected they become emotionally avoidant. You could argue that reze came from even worse circumstances but you see her trying to make a better life for herself at the end when she goes back to denji. I understand that denji is “dog” characterised but imo he makes stupid decisions regardless of the fact that he’s being manipulated

KingFreak

Kon be getting passed around like a blunt she for the streets 🤣🤣🤣

Johnwick

You guys forgot whenever that angel devil touches someone theyre lifespan shortens

Offw0rlder

How many times in ONE WEEK must I catch the feels? Why won’t my eyes stop leaking 😭😭😭

Offw0rlder

Denji I feel your pain bro I’m a yearner too 😭😭😭

WillGlacier

God this movie is PEAK. "Everyone want's chainsaw's heart! Doesn't anybody wan't Denji's heart? Huh?" REAL AS FUCK

OceanPhantom

The movie was cool but also boring since I’m not a romance anime kind of guy but I can appreciate for what it was rip reze side not the movie did note do a good job of explaining that she was like denji I gathered it after looking stuff up after but I was confused a bit watching

Cyrus_tha_Virus

This guy Lupa really said “what happened to my desk?” BOI THE CITY IS GONE AINT NOBODY CARE ABOUT NO DESK 😭😭😭😭😂😂😂😂😂

Ayanda Mpofu

I'm really gonna miss Reze, she was so raw and her power was so cool. It was interesting to see her actually have feelings for Denji it made the her situation more complicated. Also the MVP award goes to Beam, my guy was so clutch.

Les Thompson

Have you guys react to F1 movie?

Jalil

Man this shit made me sad asl. Also, as a side note, idc what anybody says my goat prime Bakugo still winning against Reze. Just give him one All Might flashback.

kai. 🩶

how tf he crunch up a whole candy apple? vibranium ahh feet

kai. 🩶

def in my top movies of 25 and favorite movies of all. someone need to give top to the animators stat

L1NG

1:15:00 he lost lifespan when he touched angels hand as thats how angels powers work, he takes lifespan thru touch, which is why he kissed the dying ladys hand to kill her peacefully

Honored one

Darn it man I lowkey wanted Reze and Denji to be together 😭

JustADad 🟣⚫️

So a small detailed analysis I saw someone give was that the butterfly you actually see getting caught is a monarch butterfly. (Supposedly) Fun fact about Monarch butterflies is that they are actually poisonous to predators that eat it. So the whole thing is supposed to be representing that while she did trap him it was also going to lead to her own demise. Assuming this was all 100% accurate, wow. A round of applause.

JustADad 🟣⚫️

You don’t understand. It was HIS desk, those weren’t my buildings 😂

NullCallisto

She popped off one time and now they think she's like that, but she really was terrified there 😭

Christian Owusu

The anime needs to do better at explaining the difference between hybrids and fiends I can see why Sheera was confused

Marcus

lol Im sorry but the reading comprehension devil strikes again. They already explained it pretty clearly. Fiends are devils who take over human corpses, Hybrids are a mix both a devil and a living human... How is that confusing?

NeedForGreed

That is a funny ass comment, crackin me up

Wizard

lowkey bakugo is cleaning her and its not close

Zachary Provenzano

If you get taken over bwhile dead you are a fiend if you taken over while alive but you can still contr0ol your body you are a Hybrid.

Zachary Provenzano

If you noticed there was multiple scenes with mouses which might mean Makima is always watching. Remember in episode 12 it showed makima seeing through the eyes of the crows. Maybe its something similar to that but maybe she can just communicate with the mouses which is why she was able to know where Reza was.

meguminis.

If you watched Naruto, the concept of animal spirit contracts is the same.

meguminis.

Imagine calling this type of animation fine T^T We literally live in a time where the animation industry can't afford to give us animation like this, they're constantly in debt and in decline.

meguminis.

I think they meant by what Roshi was able to pick up from the intro and figuring out about Reze.

Zay C.

Denji died but pochita gave him his heart. Does that mean all hybrids did the same but different method? Or is that just from pochita’s contract with Denji

KingFreak

Nah I get it I’m just joking lol

SunED

Yeah not surprising for someone with a dragon ball pfp

Freeofgreed

The sheeragan had roshi in all types of genjutsu this episode lmao

Student Loans

I truly love animation, this shit was too peak 😭

Cheezylicious

Yeah, I think touching the angel demon gonna cost your lifespan, that's why it took 2 months of Aki's life. That's sucks.

Evan Jenkins

This is a silly movie where a Chainsaw Man rides a shark into a typhoon, but it also perfectly captures how I felt losing that first love and sitting in stunned silence, eating flowers in a cafe (it was pizza and video games for me though, ha ha). Also, check out the blood pool under Reze there at the end. Remind you of anything?

GojosHoho

That girl feels untrustworthy and Having those Hikaru eyes is not helping 💀💀😭

GojosHoho

41:24 okkk she got hands. Good cause I hated that nigga

john segun doe

I had the same exact reaction as Roshi when Denji resurrected Reze talkin about some "imma feel bad if I turn you in to public saftey". Didn't denji in this very movie when he first fought reze on the roof of the car make a point about him not sleeping well if others get hurt on his behalf. Anywho i did feel bad for bro at the end though, I just wished they didn't have denji first say that shit about caring about ppl dyin on his behalf which threw me TF off cuz she solely responsible a crazy amount of carnage and death. Also, Makima is a FUCKING PROBLEM

Luhbabytay

I glad Roshi was quick to let sheera know that the red hair girl is just using denji. Definitely dont need to be shipping those two.

Mari uchiha

Dub is so much better in this movie and show

Charlie baker

the movie dint have to explain she was also a hybrid it was obvious, she does the exact same thing to transform like denji does and katana man

Charlie baker

so there was no way to perma kill katana man,or denji, so reze is still alive but makima has her is what im thinking

Malik

I just realized my perception skills need work because I fully trusted Reze till she beat homeboy’s ass on that rooftop.

Krype

Denji changes his mind a lot one second he was set on killing her next he wasn’t

Krype

International Assassination Arc was Confirmed more depression confirmed😭

KalkiTheEternity

It’s not confusing. That nigga is just dumb as fuck.

Raz

That specific species of butterfly is poisonous, it's called a Monarch Butterfly. There are different interpretation of that scene, these two that make most sense imo are: 1) The spider is Reze and the butterfly is Denji, but the spider doesn't know about the poison in the butterfly (Makima). 2) Denji is the spider, Reze is the butterfly. This implies that Reze is falling in love with Denji. I like the second one better especially after taking into account the ending of the movie and after reading the manga. I don't think I can go into details without spoiling so I'm not going to. Also, the way Denji defeated Reze could be seen as a parallel metaphor, he caught her in his chains, just like the spider caught the butterfly in its web.

Raider

The Venture Bros! 💀

Raider

Movie was peak in IMAX & glorious on my tv for the rewatch.

linguini

second one makes the most sense

Malik

I don’t know about better but I definitely like both a lot

Radoras

well, technically not "dead-dead", but if they're completely blown up & just locked in a box, it's the same effect - they need to get blood to revive, until then they're just another corpse

Radoras

short answer: no long answer: nooooooo

Radoras

only thing that may make it confusing is that whatever Denji is was so unknown/rare at that point that the "hybrid" form (human in control of a body that fused with a devil?) doesn't even have a name in-universe, but otherwise...it's the whole point about what makes Denji so special

Charlie baker

Yeah functionality inert still unkillable

Kami

Nah, in naruto we never really saw them use the same summons at the same time, maybe like once. Kon is a WHORE.

PJ Rivera

I like the new art style but I’ll miss the old one

Heather

why the bomb devil look like gr9ffith transformed lol

Heather

nah fr lol, i thought she was gonna be a danzel in distress

Heather

sjeera knew duh. Still ship though

Heather

What's it suppose to remind us of ?

Heather

Yeah but we knew makima aint letting that happen

Heather

Exactly lol, I traded a Kit Kat and a Twinkie for that desk.

Heather

What the hell does this mean 😭

Heather

To denji it was a straight romance story

Heather

they need to stop spoling shit in intros

Offw0rlder

He’s yearning for love lol he wants a real connection

Heather

you just know they havent seen their families in forever

Heather

what did theys ay was weird ?

Heather

she is like that,s he popped off multiple times. She just has no confidence and lots of fear

Heather

he was clearly lying, I think wahtever his past is, is making him want to be cruel, but he is truly not

Heather

Leave my queen alone.

Heather

thats what i was thinking, like the anime intro referenced a lot of western movies, he could be a sharnado fan as well

Heather

that so cool

Heather

i didmt even realize that, he needs to stop kissing bitches

Heather

not me and my homies

Heather

makima best girl

Heather

watch your mouth

Heather

hey get off my women

Heather

all these girls be freaky

Heather

What I say 😭

Luhbabytay

No tf she didn’t. Fuck no

Jonathan Kinney

God if they paced the show better. World Trigger is a top tier show that I don't recommend to anyone because the first arc is soooooooooooo slow paced

silent

on planet pluton maybe

Maggximuss

Keeping it ambiguous spoiler. When y’all find out Makimas power, it’s gonna be insane.

mal

1:24:02 denji hit her w the “i hate you nigga lets die.”😂😂😂😂

KevDu

NOOOOO THEY SKIPPED JANE DOE :(

Jawsh

The angel devil takes time off your life when you make contact with him

Alex

I don't think Denji cares that much about other humans tbh. Didn't he and Power get asked in the first season how they would feel if someone they knew died and they were very non-chalant about it? Denji also threw a car at the bat demon in the first season while a civilian was still in there, and Denji didn't seem to care at all. With that in mind I think he probably means he wouldn't sleep well because Public Safety would get on his ass for not stopping the carnage sooner/better, or perhaps he simply said it because it's a "human thing" to say, i.e. he wasn't being serious.

Guerry Nine

question: "Watch your mouth" Is this on behalf of Griffith or Reze?

Jacob Artis

Literally one of the craziest and saddest movies I've ever seen

RevWizB

I haven't read the Manga but I get late story Eren Jager vibes form Makima. She has the future devils eyes and can clearly tell what's in the future and she know what she's going to do no matter the sacrifice. So like Eren but without it being for her friends, just simply to get her mission done.

The_Loyal_Sif

That eye twitch can happen when really stressed out (eyelid myokymia). I actually got it from lack of proper sleep and worrying about work and other things a few times. I'm guessing she was really happy and enjoying herself until the facade was broke.

🕊️xXZephyrus2002Xx🕊️

I already didn’t have much of an opinion with Makima due to how emotionless she can be at times but ngl when she killed Reze I lowkey got a bit pissed at her

🕊️xXZephyrus2002Xx🕊️

That’s what I thought too, I was like my girl sacrificed her freedom to go see D again…shit was sad as hell 😔

Indifferent Denji

Im re watching this movie and the end fight with the typhoon devil is 100% a sharknado reference the main character would literally fly into tornadoes with a chainsaw

DarkSkyLady

I wonder what devil Makima is because she has to be a devil. But what is she? Power devil? Controlling devil?

WTT_321

To me, she reminded me of being Zenitsu from Demon Slayer: Scaredy cat character who's POWERFUL af lol
