NEW KDRAMA WE LOCKED INN

1osaki

sheera is so funny cause I said the same thing about imagining if the plot twist was the daughter killing him LMAOO

Jalan

Another thriller Kdrama I recommend is Karma

PetersThimble

The dramatic head turn is because the actor for the detective is incredibly famous lol They always do that for famous actor/actresses

Gotta love the Kdrama head turn!

The Frog is a good thriller featuring one of the main girls from Sweet Home (and The Witch duology, if you ever get around to watching those two movies). Atypical Family isn't exactly a thriller but it's darker in tone while also dealing with superpowers and complicated family dynamics!

I cannot translate conversational Korean, so someone please tell me if that was an error, but "you seem to call him by his name" feels especially egregious because... I mean yeah, that's what Koreans do. 😭 Matter of fact, this is the same language that would rather say "[child]'s mother" instead of "my wife" or even their given name. So was that comment referring to overly formal honorifics, or...?

Bria A.

Kim Goeun my beloved...

girlygirl9983

I am so confused lol. But low-key imagine if the girl at the end of the episode is the girl she pushed down the stairs and she’s getting revenge on her by getting her sent to jail that would be crazy.

girlygirl9983

So dramatic and cringe I love it lol

Koda

You're correct. There's so many words to express relationship levels/formality most don't use the given name but rather an honorific title that showcase the familiarity or social status of the other.

returntolife

I loved this show. Had me on my toes and also sobbing at the end lol

Jamaal Ellison

hyakimaru dono

Put it in the community tabs pooks they will ignore it here even if they read it... comenter here don't count towards the polls (really good recs BTW 👀👀 but not so much the frog)

at the beach

I wouldn't say the translation was an error, since translation is an art. I suppose a more literal translation would have been "I noticed you call your husband by his first name." But the difference between Netflix's translation and mine doesn't matter much because a casual kdrama viewer wouldn't understand why it's strange to refer to one's spouse by their first name.

Makayla

Y’all should check out another k drama, karma, it was so good 🔥.

Bria A.

Oh I don't care about recommendations all that much because I know it's a long shot that they'll see it and/or just watch whatever interests them. I just hop on k-drama reactions every now and then with recs in hopes that maybe they'll even check something out on their own time lol. (...imma be real, I haven't even finished The Frog. I just love Go Minsi and Roh Yoonseo lmao)

Betty Ba

This show is so good. I watch it last week-end and was surprised not so many are hyping it

Betty Ba

He is everywhere

Rcola25 Jr

I know Roshi and Sheera happy to be watching something intellectually stimulating.

I know it's meant to be seen as weird behavior but I think how shorty was acting is just her personality, and some people have a different threshold for what will make them behave in a manner different from their baseline. Even with grief — my family has lost a lot of people but no one ever stops smiling and laughing, or starts wearing all black. It's kind of like an unspoken understanding that we may break at times but we stay strong for each other as much as possible. Plus unfortunately you just kinda get used to going through the motions and it's not like you're entering grief because you're kinda always in that state. Not saying that's her reason for being this way in the show, just saying like, everybody grieves different kendrick lamar type beat.

Miyako

I loveeeeed this show, better than "as you stood by"

naomi

kim go-eun and kim dami are two of my favorite kdrama actresses, which is ironic because they both have played characters who have played the role of a "witch". both of them are dominating the thriller genre, seen your comment that you'll check out the witch subversion movie as a trio reaction will look forward to it

Lena

I'm so happy you guys are reacting to this show!!

N

yeah i don’t like the prosecutor

Lily Rose

if you guys are really in your thriller suspense era, react to the following it’s about a serial killer.. it’s better than barry and it’s better than this

Abigail

Everyone processes grief differently, and I feel like they used that to judge her. She was an easy murder suspect. And the main detective guy, I don't know if he had like a weird obsession with the lady. But I feel like he was looking at her Weirdly, the whole episode. They started the investigation, believing that she was guilty. And that was the only lens they saw her through.

AbstractDread

Don't they need warrants over there in Korea, these cops were doing the most following this woman the entire day and going through her stuff and whatnot without even a warrant. I just hope that this isn't one of those shows and which the actual culprit turns out to be doing all this because they're evil but they're evil for no reason.
