Amazing reaction and theories. So, to clarify its been around 150 years since the "Rebellion," they mention this briefly when they were trying to find out how old the hard drive was. So the 150+ however many years they were living in the Silo before the Rebellion. Also given that they have that stuff that makes people forget that they put in the water there's no telling how long its been. So at least 200+ years maybe 250+ they have been living under ground.

It’s been 200+ years since the Silos were created. They went over the simplified history in the first season. You also have to imagine that there are old people in the silo who knew old people as kids who themselves lived their entire lives in the Silo. Just that alone makes it 100+ years.

They havent told us exactly how long theyve been in the silo but it's been well longer than 100yrs. They told us in season 1 the rebellion itself was something like 148yrs ago and that was after they'd already been in there for a very long time. We're looking at 200+ probably closer to 300 if not longer than that. It's been a very very very long time.

guessing you guys missed that the old guy with the gun and the imprisoned guy were both set up to take the fall. told one guy to throw the molotov and the other simply did what he knows best, shoot. also that is Steve Zahn so we got two Dairy of the Wimpy kid actors in the last year (War of the Worlds Ice Cube movie lol). lastly, the kid sheera is talking about from episode 1 was going outside with everyone else since he was the son of the sheriff. least i think that is what she is saying and may be getting mixed up (i did watch the full season fyi)

Well keep in mind that every Silo is operating from the same manual. Whatever that book is gives them instructions on what to do, so everyone just ends up making the same mistakes. If there's 50 silos then there at least has to be ONE where the leader just said fuck it and did their own thing and told everyone what the deal really was.

Its just the start of the episode but I dont understand something. If its really awful outside, why not give people good suits, show them that its awful outside, and let them back in? why do they have to go outside permanently? Heck, I'd assign a special team to check the outside every year for a couple minutes to get air samples, and check if it was safe or not and publish the results. What motive do they have to kill people and hide this when theres nothing to hide, its truly just awfully poisonous outside...

While true, you can assign different people each time. You can even have elections to who gets to be on the team each year. I know it potentially ruins the point of the plot, and obviously suspension of disbelief is important, but when you have such a complex ruling system, its something I'd expect be addressed at least a tiny bit, but maybe it will be in the future, idk...
