The anime translation wasnt nearly as accurate as the manga, angel's cursed technique DEACTIVATES/turns off cursed techniques (so yes roshi it would turn off mahoraga bc the manga never explicitly brings this up, since mahoraga is apart of megumi's cursed technique) So ie. the prison realms cursed technique is to seal someone permanently, using angels cursed technique on it would deactivate it and release whoevers inside (more accurate translation to the manga)

Long story short, Angel can destroy/extinguish Big Raga (Mahoraga) and other shadows, because shikigami summoned by the Ten Shadows Technique (Zenin Clan specific)/simple Skikigami are manifestations through a cursed technique. If your technique is snatched away, you can no longer summon them, if that helps. 😊

Really doing a good job of ramping up the stakes , this reminded me of the way I felt when reading about the Dark Continent in HxH, like I knew there would be so much more to explore. The story started with sorcerers being so few that aside from a few stalemates, the status quo never had any reason to change and now that Gojo is sealed away it’s like the actual start of the story in a way. PS:I’m glad Roshi called it out because I was seeing some comments last week and thinking that it would be addressed this week. I don’t understand why people acted like they were so sure the anime wouldn’t give the information. People are weird cause some will be out here talking about the intro spoiled you because it tells you characters exist in a story but they will also give the exposition they read 100 chapters ahead as if they’re explaining extra world building.

Well, its not really that wrong or changes anything. The word used to describe what Angel's technique does is 'shoumetsu' which can mean 'extinguish' AND 'deactivate'. But really, extinguish is closer to its meaning. Also 'annihilate', 'terminate', and 'vanish'. Seems like the manga translator went with what is easier for readers to understand in the west.

She wondered that because you have to remember that Panda is a life size teddy bear that looks like a panda that was brought to life by the principal’s technique he’s not a flesh and blood Panda. That’s why she asked about whether he has a brain or not cause that’s actually a good question. Him being a teddy bear he may or may not be able to bypass the “stripping of technique” rule since he may not be considered as a living individual by game master

To answer your question: yes. Makora/mahograha is the manifestation of a ct. Shutting that technique off instantly desummons him. He can’t adapt to his summon conditions, that’s beyond him.

Kinji Hakari, the 1st goat! For your question: - Mahoraga/makora is a shikigami maintained by Megumi's Ten Shadows Technique. Him being on the field is entirely dependent on the aforementioned technique. If the Ten Shadows Technique is nullified, then he dissapears. Meaning Angel has to target Megumi and not necesarely Mahoraga, unless her CT actually works if it targets him, forcibly unsummoning him. Technically it should work since Mahoraga's adaptation works on phenomenas, whereas Angel's CT is a technique negation.

Once megumi summons maho, it wouldn't matter. His CT is no longer in effect(he has used a domain and had totality out, meaning even with an extinguished CT his summons are still around). It stop's Maho's CT of adapting though.

I get what you mean but the way I see it. After a domain expansion it’s hard to use your CT but the curse technique itself isn’t negated outright. It’s different for Angel. Angel straight forcibly negates your technique in all forms. Mahograha is a shadow, she turns on the light. She just makes him go away.

The reason you can’t use a ct after a domain is because it burns out. It’s the equivalent of an engine needing to cool down. There’s a panel where mahito’s right about to hit todo with a black flash that says he learnt that when he fled satozakura high. It’s not negated, it becomes uncontrollable. Negation is regardless of the engine, it not being allowed to start. That’s the major difference. Angel doesn’t do what Domains do, they both render techniques unusable but for different reasons

Mahoraga's ability allows itself to adapt to anything given enough time. Sukuna said it during his domain expansion is that you annihilate it entirely with something new before it has a chance to adapt and it will die. Which is why he one shotted it with the "Fuga" fire ability while he kept it pinned down with his slashing based Domain expansion. The condition for beating Mahoraga seems to be that you have to annihilate it leaving nothing left of it's main body before it can adapt. If Angel has a one shot cursed technique that covers it's whole body and cancels out cursed techniques then she wins, if she can't one shot it, then she loses.
