GG Ruby

Guys watch Fate Camelot movies !! And Watch Fate Babylonia!! It's so good promise.

BZD

Heracles baby! Arguably in his strongest class, though him being an Avenger and forsaking his divine NP’s makes it a bit questionable.

Anzor Wilson

Yo that Second Camelot movie is my favorite action anime movie of all time. The nonstop fights at the end. Just PEAK!

King of New York

Seeing Heracles again in a different class is extremely cool. Berserker was cool but I have a feeling I’m going to love this deeper take on the character. Him introducing himself as Alcides is also a neat subtle touch to how his character is this time, since I believe that was his birth name before he was renamed to appease Hera. Also, Wonder Woman’s mom is a dope pull😭. The fact that there’s double the servants (besides Saber) is just awesome because we get to see so many more characters.

Garrett

Just in case it’s a little confusing: Gilgamesh = fake archer Alcides/Heracles (yes same person, Alcides is his birth name) = True archer/avenger Hippolyta = True rider/uses a bow as her man weapon

Lil Pan

Gilgamesh is the Fake Archer btw. So the girl servant is probably most likely the real Rider since the Fake Rider is still out there

Lil Pan

Alcides is Hercule’s human name btw. You were correct for thinking they said Heracles, which is just the Roman name of Hercules

Benaiah Massey

Im only halfway through so idk if you figured it out yet but to clear up a bit of confusion Gilgamesh is an archer, so he's the fake archer in this war. Also Heracles and Hercules are the same person, Alchides is just his human name from before he took the name Heracles to appease the goddess Hera.

W Wang

You'll probably get this from searching it up, but Hippolyta did intend to call him Heracles, Alcides is just the human name for heracles/hercules. The reason he goes by Alcides here is that this is the human version of him, before he ascended to godhood. (He's still half god, but when he was doing the trials, he saw himself as human)

BZD

Just want to clarify something. Heracles was the berserker in the other Fate anime too. Both of them are Heracles, the difference is the class they are summoned in.

DIOR

the way yall always get ur hair done at the same time is so tuff..

DIOR

peak of the season btw

AkkhilesCosmos45

Heracles and Hercules aren't two different people. They're the same person just under different names. Heracles is his greek name and Hercules is what the romans called him. Hercules is just his more famous name now because of Disney.

earthphoenix7068

Heracles and Hercules are the same btw. One is Greek and the other is just the Roman name. A heroic spirit can be summoned as different classes as long as they fit the class.

Sylisen E.

Alcides is an alternative name for Heracles, you didn't get it wrong ;)

Pon

Heracles is Hercules but his birth name was Alcides as a human so basically a version of Hercules that chose to take revenge on the gods it seems instead of returning to the Olympus, and got the trait for avenger as an archer .

Archer

Heracles and Hercules are the same person, it's just that Hercules is the Roman version of his name while Heracles is the original Greek version and in addition to that Alcides is Hercules' birth and "human" name, Hercules/Heracles is the name he was given to try and get in the good graces of the goddess Hera. He was summoned as a Berserker in fate/stay night but as an Archer/Avenger(?) in strange/fake that's why he looks different There are servant classes outside the standard 7 that a regular HGW has, they're called extra classes and the ones that fall under this are Ruler, Avenger, Moon Cancer, Alter Ego, Pretender, Foreigner, Shielder and Beast. Typically they can't be summoned in a regular HGW but in Alcides case it was mentioned that his nature was changed when he was summoned (maybe by his summoner?) so although he was summoned in the Archer slot I guess he can be classified as a hybrid between Archer and Avenger. This wasn't the first time an extra class has been mentioned though, Francesca mentioned in episode 0 that it wouldn't be possible for a Ruler class servant to intervene in this HGW once it had transitioned from fake to real meaning they could break all the rules and do whatever they'd like without having to worry about a Ruler stopping them, just for context a Ruler class servant only gets summoned during a HGW if it's not operating or functioning as intended and they're sent to basically act as an arbitrator.

Dilyn Howard

Hey roshi just save you sometime that servant is Heracles just summoned as an archer which is his strongest class. However, I can’t tell you why they classify him as an avenger without getting into spoiler territory. So just know that Alcides was the original name he was given at birth; he changed it sometime around his journey to honor the Greek goddess Hera.

Lash

Hercules and Heracles are the same person roshi. One is the Greek name the other is the Roman. Also the girls servant is not Enkidu(green hair dude) that was just an illusion. we learned in whispers of the dawn that Enkidu was summoned by that wolf chimera

BZD

Alcides is the birth name of Heracles. He was renamed to “glory to Hera” or Heracles in order to try and appease Hera and have her stop trying to kill him. It’s not a spoiler, Hippolyta literally says Heracles before he cuts her off.

RadTicTacs

I don't think that's a good idea. The FGO anime require too much background and explain too little stuff to make for good react content. They're adaptations of Chapters 6 and 7 of a mobile game, after all

Yoruka

Alcides is the name given to Heracules by his birth mother, so he is abandoning his god side by going by Alcides instead of Heracules.

Jamie See

Alcides is the birth name of Heracles (Hercules). The red haired servant who is most definitely a rider servant who seems to use a. Bow and spear was going to call him Heracles (Hercules) but he cut her off. how he is different form his hercules berserker class version i don't know but the one thing I do know is that the berserker class version i believe he had gone mad and is why in fate ubw and heaven's feel he was like a feral beast, but this archer version still has intelligence. Least that's the info I have gathered through the episode and looking stuff up online. So people who have more knowledge don't get mad at me.

Stephen D

Just a heads up there are other servant classes besides the main seven referred to as extra classes. Don't know if they actually show up in this show, but they are Avenger, Ruler, Alter Ego, Foreigner, Moon Cancer, Beast, and Shielder. Alcides seems to be an odd mixture of both archer and avenger. Normally, none of these extra classes gets summoned during a "normal" holy grail war, but this one isn't normal of course.

Jamie See

I don't think the bow is her main weapon because I've heard she has a spear and a battle axe in a lore video on her.

GG Ruby

I really feel like they could watch the camelot movies with little background. I show a lot of people it but I get ya

Jamie See

Plus she threw said spear at gilgamesh.

JustThatOtherDude

Nah, that IS Hercules Heracles is his GREEK name and Alkedes is a name he took up after some shenanigans happened The fanservice here is that it's gonna be Gil v Herc round 2 Edit: I'm dumb Alcides is his birth name and I was just talking out of my ass at 6am in the morning

Dalton Skaggs

Always love y'all's reactions!! Keep up the phenomenal work you do.👍 Alcides is the original birth name of heracles. His name was changed in order that hera might be more merciful to him with his new name meaning: "Glory of Hera" Hippolyta in this series is summoned as a True rider class servant. The Fake rider is the shadow creature with the little girl and her family.

ATPR

Yea even Nasu praised the movie as a masterpiece.

Anzor Wilson

Just make sure they watch first order, then we can explain what the deal is. Besides Episode 0 of Babylonia show a slideshow of all the Chapters in order. In fact Babylonia has some relevant flashbacks to the other unadapted Chapters so they should get the gist of it just by watching. If they need some help we can fill them in after.

DIOR

I doubt they even knew Avenger was a class container in the first place

13

Alcides is his human name given by his mother. Heracles is his hero name after completing his trials. This Alcides and the Berserker you guys know from OG Fate are the same character, but summoned under different classes, and with different things affecting their personalities. Hyppolyta is a rider, and the green haired guy Enkidu is a lancer(He's the one that Gil consistently refers to as friend)

RadTicTacs

Despite using a bow, Hippolyta isn't an Archer. And despite not using a bow, Gilgamesh is an Archer. Servant classes are weird like that. Archer class Servants are generally defined by primarily using ranged weaponry like bows, guns, dolphins, etc. and in Gil's case, weapons from Gate of Babylon shot through the air

Dilyn Howard

I didn’t say it was a class I just said I can’t tell them why they classify him an avenger

Re_Slayer

If yall watch more fates when this ends i recommend Fate Apocrypha. its got a similar vibe to this as its a 7v7 with masters and servants and around 24 episodes.

Denzelwya

2026 anime is going strong

Denzelwya

She’s a rider btw

Vlad

Fun fact Hercules va is the same one from fate stay night so he finally can have some lines instead of just grunts

Rin Okumura

Told cha to just turn off your brain and watch this cause fate series is convoluted. I stop playing after the Manannán Souvenir Valentine event. Imma be honest I can't even remember much. I understand the core story but that's it.

Vlad

It’s interesting to see Gilgamesh have a different demeanor depending on who his master is he is a lot more tame then when he was in zero, he hated that guy lol

Rob Pait

Called Richard in the youtube comments for episode one. Red and Gold colors King Arthur fanboy Knows Middle Eastern orgs active during the Crusades Knows Loxely, AKA Robin of Loxley, AKA Robin Hood. Lion motif in his noble phantasm.

Coatl45

Richie L on the guitar tonight!

Fernando Perez

Heracles and Hercules are both names for the same person. Hercules was the Romanized version. Alcides is Heracles’s birth name. The reason this Archer is using “Alcides” is likely because he hates the gods and sees his legendary heroic name as shameful, so he chooses his human name instead. Basically, this Heracles is different from the Berserker Heracles we knew before. Francesca’s dialogue where she says he’s been changed implies he’s an Alter (like the Saber Alter from Heaven’s Feel), or more specifically an Avenger class. When a Servant is altered, their alignment leans generally towards evil. That’s why Hippolyta said it was out of character for him to attack kids. Long story short, this Heracles is basically like young Kratos lol. As for Hippolyta, she seems to be a Rider. Remember Gil is Fake Archer, and now Alcides is True Archer. One last thing in case you forgot from episode 0, the green haired person you saw here is Fake Lancer, Enkidu, who was summoned by the wolf. They’re Gil’s best friend and their presence is a big reason Gil is so chill this time.

Coatl45

I didn’t know that Alcides was his original name. I do know that instead of pacifying her, naming him after her only made Hera more furious at his existence.

Garrett

The bow is her main go-to. The javelin is the one she threw at Gil but javelins are meant for throwing and there’s a mana buildup. The axe is her second noble phantasm but it’s huge

Lazarus0024

Damn they got Wonder Woman's mom in this and everything

Raymond Terry

They did mention the real guy that shot King Richard the Lionheart with an arrow which turned into an infection that subsquently killed him.

Fuji

damn i wish my ass paid attention in history class im getting folded left and right lmao

Anzor Wilson

Yay! Someone else who knows Loxley. I was sad when almost no reactors seem to know that name. Making me feel old when I'm only 22. Maybe I just watched to many Robin Hood movies, but who hasn't seen Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991). Anyone? No, just me? :(

Coatl45

Enkidu is the Lancer. The Rider is apparently the smokey… thing with the little girl.

Kackson Pack son

please watch the WOD of fate strange fake again, there’s a lot of information u guys probably don’t remember everything since it was 3 years ago

ItsJahseh

Tbf his master in fate zero hid in a bunker like a coward

WackySwacky

It’s actually because the heroic spirits themselves can be summoned as a different aspect of their real life selves. Like how Heracles from Fate Stay Night was totally different from Heracles here, even though they are the same person. It depends on the class they are summoned as.

YaBoyRoshi

Okay so she WAS gonna say Heracles. LMAO in the episode I started to doubt myself I was like “wait arent Heracles and Hercules the same?” Thats why I said I was gonna look something up afterward but that other name drop straight up broke my ankles. So this is indeed once again Hercules lmao

WackySwacky

Alcides is his birth name. Heracles is the name he took on later on to appease Hera. Hercules is the Roman version of the name.

JustThatOtherDude

Maaaan, I knew Loxley=Robinhood from an old musky Ivanhoe comic when I was 6 🫠

WackySwacky

Their personalities change a lot depending on the class they are summoned as. As a Berserker, you trade intelligence for raw power. But the funny thing is, Berserker is actually the weakest form of Heracles.

JustThatOtherDude

🤦‍♂️I knew there was something wrong with what I said after I hit send 😅

Isaac

Heracles and Hercules are the same name just spelled and pronounced different based off where you are from. Alcides is his original name before he was known as Hercules. A lot of hostoric figures have different names than their famous names based on the culture. So yes, this is Hercules ( who was Berserker) summoned as an Archer and can now speak and isnt a wild animal.

Isaac

Asking the real fate nerds, is Hippolyta suppose to be a Saber Face? She looks like her to me. And for those who dont know, a Saber Face is a character in fate intentionally designed to look like Saber Artoria Pendragon because she is the mascot of Fate and they just love using her face and design.

Victor

Yeah that's Assassin. There are Assassins that look different, like the girl last episode, but whenever you see that creepy white mask in Fate series, that's an Assassin. Seriously though, what did they use as a catalyst to always summon these guys?

Tbdovan

Need to keep the history tab open and available whenever watching Fate franchise

Fernando Perez

She definitely seems like a Saber Face. I doubt it’s not intentional. Some people joked that she kinda looks like if Shirou and Artoria had a daughter. Also, apparently she shares the same VA as Gudako lol

Sneaky Pilot

The author confirmed that she is not a saber face. Her hairstyle is similar tho but would be considered a spoiler

Sneaky Pilot

That would be fake rider. Hippolyta is True Rider

Polygon

The Strange Fake Grail War is referred to as the "grail war of the strongest" lol. Every Servant is a monster in some way or another. "If everyone's OP, no one is" ahh war.

Jake Young

no spoilers but Alcides is Heracles' human name, before Zeus found out about him and renamed him when he recognized him as his son He also has beef with Hippolyta from when he was a hero, like mad beef

Star4alli

Thought so. I saw them call the red haired girl “Archer” because she used a bow and I was like what? I thought it was pretty obvious though because she pulled out the horse and I automatically thought Rider Class

Victor

I saw many comments explaining the Alcides/Heracles/Hercules name and Hippolyta's servant class already, so I will clear another confusion that you guys seem to have. Even if you tried to summon the same Heroic Spirits, they wouldn't always have the same class and appearance. For example, now you know that the servant in this episode and the Hercules in the Fate UBW and HF movies you have watched are essentially the same guy, but they look entirely different: the Hercules you have seen before is a Berserker in a constant maddened state, while this one is level-headed and is an Archer. The reason is that some Heroic Spirits would change over time, and sometimes those changes are so drastic that they become a completely different person than they were in the past. Depending on which period of their life the Heroic Spirits that you summon were in, you could get completely different ones. I think anyone familiar with Greek mythology could understand by now why the two Hercules are so different and from which point in time specifically each one of them was summoned.

Star4alli

Theirs only two archers right now so far. In Fate Zero Gilgamesh class is Archer and it was in UBW Normally, only one Servant per class is allowed. Gilgamesh was an exception because he stayed incarnated after the previous war, so when the 5th Holy Grail War starts, the system still summons another Archer (Emiya) so Gilgamesh was always known in the Archer class. In Strange fake 2 archers is allowed because there’s two overlapping holy grail Wars going on a real one & a fake one.

Isaac

Apparently the Hassan ( they all dawn skull masks ) are synonymous to the word Assassin, so if you dont have a catalyst to summon a specific figure, a Hassan Assassin will always be the default assassin. Thats how the system was made for that particular summoning. There's a tiny GACHA chance a different figure will answer the call ( like Kojiro who answered for Madea Caster in UBW ) but it'll most likely be a Hassan to answer because they're considered THE Assassin.

Cc.Rin4456

you guys should check out 100 meters on Netflix !

Certifiedan3

It’s pretty common for the Hassan’s to be assassins since they fit the definition so universally. As the name assassins somewhat derive from them. There are rare exceptions.

Asher Ealey

The Alcides through me all the way off. I had to go search after the episode. Because when he said Alcides after I was expecting him to say Hercules, I was thinking "WHO?!!!"

Victor

Well I am afraid I might have a big misconception. Are catalysts always needed for summoning Heroic Spirits, or are they only needed when you want to summon specific figures?

DatKid_Kaneki

Alcides isnt a makeup name hes a warrior but idk if he used that name as a guise or wha

DatKid_Kaneki

actually i think thats his name ngl

Isaac

Catalysts are needed if you want someone specific, yes. The reason Saber Artoria was summoned successfully twice in a row in Zero and UBW was because her scabbard was the catalyst both times. The word Assassin is the catalyst to the Hassan Assassins. If you dont have a Catalyst for summons then what ends up happening is a spirit is summoned based on the Summoner themselves and it can range from if you have knowledge of a particular hero or if you have bloodline relations to a hero. Like if I was a distant cousin to Edgar Allan Poe, he'd most likely answer my summons because I myself am affiliated with him by blood and I had no catalyst to summon someone in particular.

DatKid_Kaneki

im pretty sure we seen those assassin guys but i think its because the hassan group had multiple leaders that use the same name. they were probably THE epitome of assassins in their time so thats cool to learn they are the default in the comments.

Michael Kaiser

Man I fucking love Gil what a Chad 😂😂😂😂so nice to see him in action talking shit

Michael Kaiser

Alcides was trinna ragebait bro 😂

Asher Ealey

Here are my predictions for the servants. Hippolyta is Rider. The servant at the beginning is Assassin, and my guess is that he is the ghoast of Banquo from Macbeth Then my guess is that the illusion servant is Caster. Caster always be having the oddest abilities and they

Kris Barnes

Gilgamesh is the Archer from the Fake Grail War. Alcides is the Archer from the new Grail War. Hippolyte is probably a Rider

Noson

Alcides was his original birth name but when it’s revealed he’s a affair of Zeus, they change it to Heracles to apeas Hera

Jalan

Yo I hope you guys add The Wrecking Crew to your movie list. It just came out and it was surprisingly fire

The Dude

It’s his birth name. In this case it fits to call it his human name.

bark

Hippolyta just looks like red haired saber?

Seibahhh

heracles = hercules = alcides (birthname) servants are just "information" of the person/legend. The holy grail summons this information from the throne of heroes. This Hercules is different bc of the holy grails corruption and the throne of heroes nature. the throne of heroes exists outside of time and contains information about the heroes from every possible timeline. So the version which will be summoned depends on the catalyst, the masters personalitys if theres no catalyst, the ritual itself etc.

P. A.

Gil's Gate of Babylon is told to be housing all the riches of the world. Because of that line in history, he holds all the prototypes of every noble phantasm in history. So what u saw is probably the very first iteration of excalibur.

JustThatOtherDude

Yeaaah.... cuz it was pretty slim to be the one Artoria swings around, tho the guilt looks similar

P. A.

- Alcides is the name of hercules before he became a demigod. So basically, his human name. The anime will show later on why he looks like this and why he is Avenger. - He is technically the true archer but he is also avenger. If u remember in heaven's feel 3rd movie, Illya explained that in the 3rd holy grail war einzsbern summoned avenger instead of 1 of the usual 7 servants. The avenger they summoned was Angra Mainyu. Long story short, he was suppoed to be strong because of his myth, but was weak. He got killed early on, got absorbed into the grail and corrupted it, which led as a big role in the next wars (zero and stay night). Why Alcides is an avenger will also be explained later on. - The gang's confused state as to why they called hypo archer is understandable; the series only added a quick line in fate zero but never really explained how summoning works: when u summon ur hero u use a catalyst and use the same chanting that most of us who saw fate series. But when the mages change the incantation, it tunes the summoning toward a certain class. Basically the incantation is a "class filter". If ppl remember fate zero, karya had a different incantation in order to summon berserker. His incantation empaphyzed madness, loss of reason etc. Alcides's saint graph is archer, but as to why he is also avenger will be shown later. - Yes, Faldeus has an assassin. I hope the anime explains more about the Hashshashin because i am sure the gang and many ppl think that all assassins summoned in fate have the skull mask which isn't the case. - Ngl, i kinda wonder how all these mages are able to summon demigods. Them being super strong also makes them consume alot of theirs and the master's mana when using their NP. Gilg and Enkidu went kinda ham on the first day, yet tine and the chimera weren't suffering from all that consumed mana. U can debate for Tine being a descendant of snowfield area makes her replenish mana easier via leylines, but even so...

Wrëck

If you see a nigga on a custom stage 3 tuned horse with 10,000hp straight to the wheels they’re probably a rider lol

allmight_stan

Are they literally the same, or is this one a younger one compared to the Heracles from Stay Night UBW? I am wondering because of how he is now speaking and introduced himself as Alcides in this episode

Cesar

Y'all should watch fate/apocrapha butchered the spelling but I still think it's on Netflix

lackingnames

Heracles is the same person summoned in Stay Night, that wasn't "Hercules". There likely is no such thing as a heroic spirit called Hercules since that's just the Roman copycat myth of Heracles.

Rachel Gwinn

faxx tbh they should just check em all out the the rest of the movies they are all good as hell

P. A.

Alot of female heroes have similar face features as artoria in the fate verse. There's no meaning behind it, it's just what they like to do. In this case tho, her hairstyle is a spoiler as mentioned previously.

Zeke

To add: That's not Excalibur but it's prototype. The original sword of selection: Merodach

Zeke

Can confirm it's the same VA. He's spoken as berserker Hercules before in side games from decades ago

SlinkSiamang747

I need them to just drop all the episodes NOW bro 😭😭

del

You’re right. They cranked up her to a full saberface for the anime. The VA gives a similar performance to og saber too

Jamarion Rich

Heracles is the original Greek name of hercules, and alcedies is heracles human name

del

Next week we get, among other things, Tsubaki’s backstory and info on her servant. I’m saying this Tsubaki is the girl in a coma who has the terrifying looking “curse of death” servant that we haven’t seen since the special that aired in 2023. You all might not remember her lol

lackingnames

@allmight_stan are you asking if the character is the same or is the VA the same? Though either way I suppose the answer is the same. This time Heracles was just summoned under much different circumstances into a different class. Generally its best to not even see Servants as "a person" like what you seem to be thinking. The servant Alcides as he is here never actually existed. Servants are just information and legend given form in different ways. They can be similar to the real person who lived in history, or they can be utterly different. The only exception is Artoria Saber (Zero and SN saber). She was summoned while still alive as the original person (fucky timeline holy grail stuff).

dbcks

That was not Excalibur but rather the prototype of the Sword in the Stone. There are some exceptions to all that Gil can have and Excalibur is explicitly the one sword he can never have

sol jam

this is basically a second fate apocrypha lets goooo

Unknown

And they

Unknown

Gil still trynna act tough after seeing that shit going down. Gil would probably beat Heracles cus the writers seem to love him, but i stan Heracles. Dude’s a beast

The Dude

These guys still think Heracles and Hercules are two different people 🤦‍♂️. They said the same damn thing in UBW.

Gravity

Thats the birth name of Hercules

PyroPhoenix

Yall forgetting the big important HUGE fact that Gilgamesh is Archer and Alcides is also Archer/Avenger. Also another key fact is that she has a HORSE 🤣🤣 so she is most likely rider since all riders have a ride companion. Which brings me to my question, is she the fake or real rider? Cause I don’t think we’ve seen another rider yet have we? 🤔

Oxalic Acid

Nope he is Heracles, Alcides was his first name. Also Hercules is just the roman spelling of heracles. So this servant is the archer version of berserker from the og.

Arsean Wilbon

Heracles and Alcides are one in the same, also Heracules is the same as saying Hercules. Heracles(hercules) was born as Alcides when he rose to God hood he was given the name Heracules(hercules) him telling hippolyta to shut up when she starts say Heracules is him rejecting that name and going back to his first name. Also Hippolyta (daughter of Ares) is Rider. There wont be 3 Archers as Heracules and Gilgamesh are already Archer, therefore she is Rider.

THE King

why did you uploud this so late

Colin Pavey

Why are you complaining? Be grateful they uploaded it at all

Chronicle King13

Man every time I see Richard I can't help but think back to the Robin Hood movie and how they say, "Long live King Richard!!". Great movie and this is a good reaction! Love all this good stuff you guys are putting out!

Orjanu Mircea

She is the True Rider The Fake Rider is that black fog Servant with the little girl Master

PyroPhoenix

Oooo that thing is a rider? Couldn’t even tell

Deep

Yeah it hasnt been revealed yet tho lol id keep off the comment section lest someone spoils you as im sure many people like me know exactly who fake rider is

Mr_grandma05

So we jus don't look at the schedule nowadays??

ZukuUzu

Well technically theres a Archer and an Avenger. As Avenger is its own class. This is just the forst time we saw it

Random Guy

Alcides is the birth name of Hercules, you can check it out in the wikipage of Hercules. Also Heracles is the original greek name, Hercules is the Roman version of the name.

chou sion

it's not cuz "the writers love him". He is just stronger and much more stacked, he already beat heracles as a berserker in UBW without even even doing too much.

Garrett

Gil literally knows his who it is and his skills just by looking. Alcides is Gil’s counter but Gil still beats him. So no he’s not “acting tough” as you claim

Severus Alaerth

One thing that (usually) stands true is that, the older your legend/myth is, the stronger you are as a servant in the Fate universe. Since Gilgamesh from the Epic of Gilgamesh is quite literally the oldest recorded/written/literary hero in human history, he is in fact the most powerful when all cards are placed on the table/equally unlimited mana/he's not written to be overly cocky leading to jobbing. He has counters in the Fate universe yes, but the counters are usually made/told in a way just so that he doesn't just simply mop the floor with anyone when it comes to storytelling in-universe (and mainly for game balancing but we're not talking about the games here, just where he stands amongst other servants in-universe power level-wise amongst servants, else people are gonna start bringing up Beast class and what not)

Severus Alaerth

Alcides is Hercules/Heracles's mortal name. This version of him is most likely during the time after being qualified as a berserker. I won't say too much (because it'll most likely be his story here, revenge and all) but if you know his "real" myth (i.e. what takes place beyond what Disney adapted/decided to show), then yea you should understand why he was a berserker class in the main Fate series to begin with despite being a noble demigod (and why he was so protective of Illya).

Severus Alaerth

I also just wanna put this out here in case there are people who noticed some things No, Hippolyta is NOT a saberface (i.e. a semi-joke trend term that's been going on in the Fate fandom and character designing since the creation of FGO due to how many characters share similar facial features and what not, but not limited to just saber/artoria since we do have rinfaces and sakurafaces too lmao) as confirmed by the creators, BUT she is a saberhair tho lmao that much was confirmed Also, Hippolyta is of the Rider class. Why? Well, in case you somehow didn't see the horse for whatever reason lol (this is banter, but also to clear the confusion of who is who, since this form of Gil is of the Archer class)

The Overseer

Fate/Strange Budget Episode 4

Josue Dominguez

Nah Alcides is his mortal name before he became Hercules. Hercules is the name given to him after Hera made him go mad and make him kill his family. That is why Hercules was berserker class in fate/stay night, the 12 labors was his actions during his period of “redemption”

Severus Alaerth

That's literally what I said idk what you're on "Alcides is Hercules/Heracles's mortal name." Literally the first sentence. The 2nd sentence is me referring to this summoned version of him where he denounced his demigod name as can be seen from the way he responded to Hippo about to call him Heracles again. Why do you think I said "I won't say too much" afterwards? Clearly it would be plot relevant to FSF and would then be a spoiler, but here you are spelling everything out. Nuances matter especially when tiptoeing explanations without delving into spoiler territory.

Panda

Wait is this not the version of him post labors because he has the hide? That's what i assumed at first but this is my first delve into this fate story.

Severus Alaerth

Yes it is, hence why I said denounced. He himself "confirmed" it with the way he acts

BlueMop91

plz stop allowing glasses to eat on camera. that feed picks up everything.

ViralCorgi

4:14 Imma need for Japan to CHILL TF OUT with all the old woman trapped in a child's body fanservice. It's getting real weird and tiring.

ViralCorgi

I actually like that Gilgamesh, despite being an arrogant overpowered beast, is more patient (tolerant?) and protective of his master because of her young age. It adds an interesting layer to his character.

Rachel Gwinn

im dead lupaa said bro made that name up I'm dying when he said that I only know his birth name cuz I love shit with Greek gods n stuff like that

PhaedrusRumple

Please stop being a fuck ass bitch and say his name.

Grelk

4:34 Roshi and Lupa trying to brace themselves for the arrow strike killed me, I literally fucking braced myself too 🤣

Xavier Baker

For the most part ,it seems he can be softer to children , weirdly enough

Gilgamesh was always kind to children. Illya was an exception because she is 1 not a child, she was a year older than Shirou so 17 or 18, and 2 because she was a combatant in the war. But in some of the supplementary scenes for stay night Gilgamesh was wandering around the city and ran into some kids at a playground and was very nice to them. In the sequel VN that has never been animated he was also kind to them on multiple occasions.

That trope is probably older than half the people here. I remember a manga or maybe two from the 90s where that happened Also, to be honest, unless your into mouths in weird places that wasn’t even fanservice

Gilgamesh does not possess the original version of Excalibur because there is no original version. Excalibur was a creation by the lady of the lake that Gilgamesh never came into possession of. He does have the original version of the sword in the Stone, however. That sword is called garm and is the one he drew in this episode

I like how lupa is still scarred by castor in fate zero

A young woman body isn't a child body. And if you really don't like how Japan doesn't even see the problem with with what you "described", you can as well stop worshipping animes and japanese culture it doesn't seem it's good for your health.
