idk what this show is about but that thumbnail is hilarious 😂

OrbitVerse

You'd be surprised how many victims in Korea get in trouble for reporting their assaults because they lowkey hate women over there. Last month some dude broke into a singer's house tried to attack her and her mom, the singer beat his ass and HE took HER to court for assault!!

Tre

I believe her name is Nana and it’s crazy how you legitimately can go to jail for defending yourself if someone is assaulting you

꩜

Yes, it was Nana the actress who played mask girl (after the ps)… I can’t imagine how surreal it must’ve felt having played a character that was villainized for simply defending herself to being put in a similar position in real life. This is the reality for a lot women and specifically in korea it’s sm worse

Mike A

My issue with her is that she didn't need to jam her boss up. You can literally just tell the truth, your dad can't refute it. As for the stalker, I think he was always in on it. We see her hear the news reports in the beginning of the episode so she just used that as a pretext. She set up the mugging to see how far Jun Seo would go for her. When it became clear he couldn't do what needs to be done, she pivoted to her back up plan.

꩜

she literally told junseo why she wasn’t honest with the cops… they dgaf! the justice system there is not in place to protect women esp when it comes to domestic abuse, victims are often told to handle it in the private and dismissed! even with evidence, he would serve a bit of time and come back to abuse her even more! she wanted him gone for good and her boss was the only one that was fit to do that job unfortunately. she did what she had to do to protect herself

R

the justice system in South Korea sucks a lot. Most of the times they fail to protect the victims and the criminals only serve jail time for several years then they will be out and become a threat to the society again

GoddessHex

twisted af but I love her character lol

Mike A

for the mugging yeah, but I mean for the killing. Dude walked in on her getting brutally beaten and then the man came at him with scissors to kill him. It was self defense, she doesn't have to lie.

kai. 🩶

bro might as well have been up in the dad face recording at that point 😭

miz

I get where you are coming from, but it honestly goes both ways. There are literal internet forums dedicated towards misandry & misogny. shit's honestly sad

PetersThimble

Was very curious as to what you guys would think of her moving forward after this. Can't wait until the next episode.

Chideraa Udegbulem

I think she went to find the stalker after JunSeo let him go to blackmail or offer him something to help her. She probably just told him to hide at her place then run and it looked like she paid him at the store later that night.

girlygirl9983

1:04:33 Roshi I think she found the beanie guy to be her stalker after her the job interview. Like all her plans were made after she got the job. The fake stalker she somehow convinced to do all this, the boss, the rat, the stalker being there, everything everything I feel was a meticulously crafted plan. I mean she’s a sociopath, they exploit and manipulate people to their advantage and make you think they’re your friend by mimicking human emotions. She’s been doing this to her step brother JUN SEO since he was little and now he has an obsessive unhealthy obsession with trying to save her from any harm. The boss and the employee were like “what’s his deal” like he be attached at the hip to her probably from their perspective.

girlygirl9983

47:39 Lol 💀🙃 the moment AH-JIN’s coworker realized this chick is crazy. His face kinda looked like “something is off”

R

the only thing confused me in this episode was when her coworker saw that stalker in the convenience store with her and found it weird. like, did he saw them interacting or something? what made him feel off about it?

Anton Chisolm

She left the note for the stalker at the store. That is why he was there that night. The point was for the man she setup to see that there really was a stalker following her to the house. Plus, she wanted him to see the type of hat the stalker was wearing. Remember he never seen the stalker face just that he was wearing that type of hat. This is why he was like what you are old enough to be her father .

Damiete Braide

will you guys be reacting to a knight of the seven kingdoms?? just curious

Koosha☯️Possible🖤💚

Yeah Roshi made a post/poll about it asking if patrons prefer them to start the show now or in 2 weeks and 2 weeks won, so I would expect it in a week to two maybe longer when their schedule cools down, especially after fallout and silo uploads end over the next week:)

R

okay never mind, i got my answer in ep 4 lol

Amy

Nothing's sad about the misandry one though

SakuraBlossom

She gets other people to do her bidding because she doesn't want to have to face any direct consequences. She's a sociopath so she has no qualms with sacrificing others.

SakuraBlossom

The cops in kdramas are always total assholes. I imagine that must mean they're not very dependable or understanding in real life. When her brother couldn't go through with killing her dad, she decided to do things "her way." And her way involves sacrificing others so she doesn't have to feel consequences because she's a sociopath.

Jamaal Ellison

15 minutes in and I'm not on Ah Jin's side anymore guys. 😔

Jamaal Ellison

I'm hesitantly back on Ah Jin's side.

Bria A.

To answer the question about not reporting... my sarcastic answer is that cops are useless everywhere, but also genuinely I do think it's Itaewon Class (-ish) logic of assault being heavily criminalized regardless of reason or provocation -- on some "well you didn't have to go that far" bullshit. Even in this show Jaeoh ended up in jail for killing his father despite it being clear self-defense. Korean authorities are also really misogynistic (even though again... that's everywhere) and would make it more of Ah Jin's burden to prove she was stalked with intent to harm rather than actually punishing a stalker.

Lily Rose

im alll for women using men, but why must it be her caring boss and childhood friend?

girlygirl9983

because she’s a Sociopath, it wouldn’t matter if it’s a stranger, family or friend

CuteAdorableDog

it would be sick if y'all checked out the Thai Drama Clairebell it's only 8 episodes I just finished it and it's sick

hyakimaru dono

Doesn't go both ways... you don't have a whole country treating men as object do we??? Or a country that sees men as toys to serve women??
