Honored one

This was actually a really sad episode for me

ClassicJoker

The acting from the actress tht plays lucien was really good and actually made me feel something in tht moment even if the whole season and how dream died was rushed

Jack in the box.

Y'all should check out monarch, legacy of monsters. We need more titan content season 2 is coming out soon.

PJ Rivera

I applaud the show writers and actors for trying their best with what they had. They got forced into rushing what should have been a multi-season project due to bad decisions by the creator and its not half bad

gerard long

I really liked this episode, I got teary-eyed during delirium speech

YaBoyRoshi

Interesting, was the complete opposite for me. A 70 min long funeral episode didnt feel earned to me, I dont feel like ive been on some grand journey with Morpheus to where I would care enough to

naa

its over. can't wait for dark

ClassicJoker

No i agree it was just the moment of the actress acting tht got me besides tht yeah this whole episode was dragging bc we barely really had a proper connection with the character dream and they want us to watch a hour long episode of his funeral 😭

sol jam

FINALLY I loved this show but they dropped the ball so hard

Himindabank

Y’all gon watch Death’s special episode next?

GonkDroidCritic

The pacing would’ve been better if there was more episodes or seasons, but it really sucks that they have to rush it all and skip some arcs due to its cancellation and Neil Gaiman being a weirdo. Still a good show 👍

Btw Umulisa Gahiga, who plays Queen Nada, said," There’s a scene that was written between Lucienne and Nada, where Lucienne tells Nada a lot of Black History that she’s missed or African History that she’s missed, and she’s getting caught up,” she said. “They have a conversation about what’s next for Nada and how she feels about her own mortality and humanity at that moment. Who better for Nada to see for the first time and to interact with than Lucienne, another Black woman?” Gahiga also shared her imagination of Nada’s life after leaving The Dreaming at the end of Season of Mists. “In my head, I saw her volunteering in small communities. I don’t think she’s in New York; I think that’s a bit intense after everything she’s gone through,” she says. “I think she went back to the continent. I couldn’t tell you where, I didn’t want it to be where I’m from necessarily, but I think she’s trying to rebuild communities from where she was from.”

Sinna

I love how you can always tell when the trio don't really enjoy a show because the last episode will just be a matter of fact statement in the post description. 😭😭😭 ex. "we watched Lazarus" "we watched Ninja Kamui." "It's over." (Uzumaki) and now "a funeral." lmao it's like one of my fave lil reoccuring gags.

RedSunCrusher!!!

It's very unlikely that they probably won't they might watch it during their own time though.

Sinna

that's honestly so beautiful, and I wish we could get a limited series of adventures.

D4C Shadow

Wait so there not going to watch episode 12

Anzor Wilson

If possible I would like to make a suggestion. After you finish some of the other upcoming shows, like Dark, could you guys take a look at His Dark Materials next. Its a really good series.

prosper

pleaseeee watch episode 12 as well 🙏🏿

Inconspicuous Pug

So Sandman got the Promise Neverland treatment with an amazing first season and a dookie second season. Rip

Saphthings

Theyre gonna watch dark?! That's my Top 3 shows!

PetersThimble

Shame this one dropped the ball so hard in its s2 but ONTO DARK

Jordan Postle

I watched that one. It was great!

Rin Okumura

Story was rushed. They have a harder time to visualize and adapt the story from the book to movie in ss2. The concept art/ cinematic were still top tier though.

Sam

I feel like

Himindabank

All this talk of Interview with the Vampire/The Vampire Lestat, I hope they react to the trailer when it drops.

Himindabank

Fun Fact: Despair, The first, is actually responsible for Krypton blowing up and the birth of Superman, as she also represents Hope.

Tbdovan

Most interesting part of the season was...the stuff with Hell but it concluded so fast then the back half was just....ass story to pass the time.

chao_2x (ABZ💙)

this show holds a special place in my heart honestly, the books were amazing…glad they stuck to most parts of the comics & ended it off where it did with the book…Morpheus dying in the comics had me sad but seeing it live with a funeral shit had me in shambles 😭 cuz like damn bruh but I get it he the type to want a new change and a better one and Daniel could possibly give that era for the Dreaming

Bobby Robinson

Dream better then me I would have banned the fuck out of her

Ebronics

whelp. guess they aren't watching Death's Day Off

chao_2x (ABZ💙)

I know Lucienne is hurting so much because she was the first companion he had & now he isn’t Morpheus but he is Dream Lord

Sena

Just realized the actor that plays Loki was in House of the Dragon season 2 as Alicent's brother.

Jake Dodd

Shame because it’s probably the best episode of the season

Sam

holy fuck they ruined this shi, i am disappointed

Antonio

i dont mind slow but when its slow and chopped up is when its sad. and im sad because looking at season 2 you can tell they started storylines and then rushed them.

sora

The Sandman comic was one of the first pieces of contemporary western high culture that I came across years ago. It's completely saturated with so many interesting concepts, ideas, and references. I'm so sad that we got the bad ending for this IP. I really think they were planning on having the Endless be a big part of the DC universe. There's another Netflix show called Dead Boy Detectives (also by Neil Gaiman, and also canceled by Netflix) where the same actors for Death and Despair make an appearance. I feel like this makes sense because Netflix is trying to buy Warner Bros at this time of writing. I don't think we're going to see any more of this universe in our lifetime, but I hope I'm wrong. Edit: Also, a note on the Kindly Ones at the end. They used to be known as the Furies. The Eumenides is the final Greek play of The Oresteia. The story of that play is a symbolic pivot from blood vengeance to rule of law. No one can spill family blood anymore because it's against the law. Anyone who does gets merced. If you look at the entirety of the story from the angle of "this is a continuation of where The Eumenides left off, but also every other myth (old and new) is real too" it becomes much more interesting. I think the cookie scene at the end is an exploration on the aspects of the Hekate (maiden, mother, crone) and how they interpret what has just transpired. I think that the fortune is a poem from Dream that says, "roles are assumed and carried out. they have a lifecycle. someone else will take my place. the same is true for my successor." I think it's Dream's last message to the Kindly Ones. They would definitely understand what he means because their concept is steeped in the idea of progression from one state into another, and how they're related. "For good or for bad, it's done" is both literally true of the media we all just witnessed, and also the end of Lord Morpheus, Dream of the Endless. A literal funeral.

Spriggz

Not something I’d have watched on my own, but I enjoyed the reaction with y’all. Thanks for your time

KiliSloe

Feel the same.

KiliSloe

brooding season.

girlygirl9983

12:02 LMAO 🤣why is Lupa so goofy, I can't 💀I also can't wait for that show to come back ❤️ 19:05 Roshi & Sheera fed up with the stupidity LOL "who brought you back"...............

GrayStark

Welp. First season had like 5 S tier episodes with such potential. Very high highs. Way too many low lows.

Adrian Locke

If I get killed & my homies let the mf that got me killed in the funeral, I’m rising up out that casket

Adrian Locke

Definition of unfortunate all cause Neil Gaiman wanted to be a nasty ass nigga This could’ve been 5, 6 seasons

Sare

A few episodes ago I said I liked this season more since I liked all the Endless stuff more than the human drama, but now that it's all over, this season was much weaker and this final arc was just bad. Like Sheera said, it's not really character development, its just him breaking the rules, accepting the consequences, being told he is wrong for just accepting things as they are... and then just accepts the consequences and dies anyway. I'm not mad he died, but it was just done is such an unfulfilling way. Still think the actors, set designers and cinematographers did the best with what they could. I just hope the books don't become lost media.

Atomik Xut

there is episode 12 of season 2 you should see that

Oliver

Please watch the last episode of S1 that you never got to after ep 12. It's a special episode

Arturo

Every scene Hob was in got me 😭 Love him so much but they rushed a lot of this season.

Tori

Our Louis de Pointe du Lac is also Grey Worm from GoT. He's such an amazing actor, but I gotta admit I really did not want Lord Morpheus to die 😭

Tori

I agree I'd love to see them react to it too. The author from that episode was also at Dream's funeral but you wouldn't recognise him unless you've seen it.

rickie woodson

dang. been 4 months and still no episode 12. insert crying emojis

rickie woodson

the pumpkin and bird sound nothing alike lol pumpkin is straight up jersey mike, 10 packs a day from 1972. matthew is broadway. come on now

rickie woodson

then everyone here. was not rushed at all. i enjoyed the season. no idea what yall are talking about at all

rickie woodson

pluribus = silo = scifi = boring. sandman is fantasy so not boring so it being "slow" is a good thing. i like staying in this world and being around these people and their powers.

Matt

You guys seem to have missed 1 or 2 episodes. There is an episode about Orpheus's mother also being captured. And there is a season 1 bonus episode all about deaths day off.

Matt

The show was very close to the comic. Obv the comic has a lot more lore and side stories.

Matt

Genuinely surprised they rated it a 5. It was at least as good as s1.

Inug0d

Cool cool cool, so Danmachi when?? ty4anothergreatreact even tho you rated this 5 I wouldn't have watched this season if not for you guys. Series has and amazing cast and visuals but sadly the creator being another piece of shit fucked up most of the series and definitely influenced the rushing on it because nobody wanted to be associated with it.
