Yeah it’s weird. Disney in general is just confusing now. Half the people call them “woke” for too many black characters and the other half call them racist for not marketing Wonder Man and Ironheart and just dropping them all at once (2 drops for Ironheart tbf). Idk. Both series were great though. Wonder Man is the better of the two imo, probably because the show was fully created and done by the director of Shang-chi and the next Spider-Man film. Ryan Coolger was an executive producer on Ironheart so makes sense why that was pretty good as well.

There are multiple main characters in Watchmen, and anyone who has knowledge of the original material is probably going into it with them in mind in some way. It's funny there is a clip you can go watch right now of David Corensweat fighting with James Gunn about a scene like Simon was, but James worked with him to come to a compromise, he didn't just keep saying yes and then fired him. Now obviously Simon was a small part and not literally Superman so it is not worth arguing with him, but I do think the director could have just said "No" once before cutting a whole character.

there was so many hints, dialogue is incredibly important in this show the way simon approaches the characters he plays and how trevor described the work are very subtle hints the guy at the door for the audition mentioned 2 roles at the door, and also mentioned a waiver for super powered individuals. simon is shown in this episode to be a lone cinephile and he went to go watch midnight cowboy ( trevor description of the movie is another hint) to me personally the writing on this show compared to other mcu projects is leagues ahead and super beautiful the deeper you get into the show.

This is a very “actors acting” show but it’s very good. Trevor has shown up in Iron Man 3, All Hail The King, and Shang-Chi. One of the creators of this show and the director of this ep and the next is Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Shang Chi, and is currently directing the next Spider-Man. He was also supposed to do Avengers 5 when it was still Kang Dynasty but obviously that’s changed now that it’s Doomsday.

That was filmed at Vasquez Rocks. I grew up in LA and have hiked there many times. Any time a movie needs a mountain scene, it's usually filmed at Vasquez Rocks. What's funny all of the US fight scenes in Power Rangers was filmed at Vasquez Rocks. So you were spot on!
