General consensus is that the show gets better and better and I appreciate people who feel that way, but for me season 1 is not only my favourite but maybe straight up one of the best seasons of tv I’ve ever seen. Felt like the more they explained the less I fucked with the canon explanations, but man the atmosphere in season 1 is just crazy. 11/10.

Tbf lost didnt lose the plot either it just went over a lot of peoples heads because it aired over 6 years and some viewers derailed in their headcanon theories... Dont get me wrong Dark is objectively better but its 13 years newer and was produced under completely different circumstances. They knew when to wrap it up from the start, while with lost they didnt know if it would even be picked up and after it exploded in popularity immediately the network wanted the show to go on forever so it took the producers nagging until s3 where they finally got the say to end the show in 3 further seasons. Lost walked so shows like dark could run. Considering all that, it makes it quite a wonder how great lost ended up at. Also lost is a drama, dark is way more definitive sci fi. And i love both but lost has a special place in my heart, there's no john locke or sawyer type characters here, its so different. And lost has the better soundtrack, not that this one isnt great its just not michael giacchino. The only people who were dissatisfied with losts ending are overthinkers who think theyre doing something when in reality they do anything but understand the show, and who never understood the show was about its characters and the deeper subtext. Im not saying lost isnt flawed either, it most certainly is, but so is dark

I adore Dark, but it's definitely not for everyone. It's very slow and mind-bending, with no real action. The story doesn't come together until the last two episodes of the final season. I found it extremely satisfying to watch all the pieces fall into place, but it's a different kind of payoff from most shows. I'd hang in through episode three, at least, but if you're still bored by episode eight, I'd drop it for sure.

Nope. That was different . This is a series built on complexity and being three seasons paced exactly where it needed to be. Lord of mysteries quite literally jumped around, barely explained shit and when it did it was too little. It didn’t feel intentional . It wasn’t paced well and it just felt like things just happened. The guide is more to remember who is who in relation to what. Literally it’s just a family tree.

The show can be a LOT of brain work if you start getting into the complexities of it but in terms of writing its damn near flawless. But you are almost guaranteed to be lost for a while but the show introduces everything in a way that (in my opinion) makes it all cohesive and easy to understand from moment to moment.

I personally enjoyed it!! Maybe not as strongly written as Succession but as far as the kind of story it’s trying to tell in giving insight on not only the top brass of investment banking firms but also the employees I thought it was pretty strong. On a surface level it appears like a shallow story but all the characters have depth in their own way and it doesn’t shy away from the darker aspects of predation and crime in different ways, super underrated show Someone explained it better by saying Industry is like an absurdly talented and scrappy band making a 10/10 album, whereas Succession is a massively commercial band making it’s magnum opus. I thought it was a great show but I also know it’s not really gonna be for everyone!! Pardon me for the yap review lol
