DatKid_Kaneki

i js got done making my food u angels

Jamaal Ellison

It's weird; it made me feel really good just to see us all together like this on screen, even if they were kind of being jerks. I'm not sure if it's Haitian or Creole or it's one of the same, but whoever idea was to make Simon and his family that was genius.

Carlos

Brother, it's a week you have to wait. Chill.

Jamaal Ellison

Hamburger helper is cooking as we speak.

PJ Rivera

The drama is unreal in this show

Croosbar

Nigga wtf is ur pfp

Ernie

Speaking of peak. Trevor (Mandarin) was quoting Amadeus (1984) Antonio Salieri: [reflecting upon a Mozart score] "On the page it looked nothing. The beginning simple, almost comic. Just a pulse. Bassoons and basset horns, like a rusty squeezebox. And then suddenly, high above it, an oboe. A single note, hanging there, unwavering. Until a clarinet took over and sweetened it into a phrase of such delight! This was no composition by a performing monkey! This was a music I'd never heard. Filled with such longing, such unfulfillable longing, it had me trembling. It seemed to me that I was hearing the voice of God" Antonio Salieri "Rival" to Amadeus Mozart From the movie Amadeus. Really good movie, showcases the brilliance of mozart and his music.

lordofcheeks

Saying something so personal and from the heart but having a gooner pfp lmao

Dean Joyner

Roshi seems like the only reactor I've seen that doesn't like Janelle lol she's his agent but not just his agent leave me alone sir lol

Sumuzu

Recommending ya'll react to HBO's Watchmen (starring Regina King and Yahya, the main character of Wonder Man) (Adding to each Wonderman ep just so ya'll see it...apologies for the annoyance!)

Dean Joyner

Yall always worried about his pictures damn as long as it ain't no underage pic shut up

Jason Marbach

Not “we gotta talk hill” 😭

Jason Marbach

They really took Trevor - one of the best *jokes* in the MCU - and made him one of the best CHARACTERS in the MCU. Just with this one show. Incredible sht

Vandren

Yoo why was bro singing the song from “Zombies” in the beginning 😭😭

Jamaal Ellison

I think the implication from that opening scene is that Simon might be a mutant, and so his brother might be too.

Mantross

Trevor got invited to the cookout

moné

ngl i feel crazy but simon getting that callback legit made me tear up he really deserves a shot 😭😭😭

Magnis

damn don’t none of his family members like him but his mom?

RedSunCrusher!!!

Cause it's a very good show it's not like they ain't gonna watch kotsk. It's gonna come next week just wait and be patient dang.

Ranginald Vagel

Holy shit, he’s a first generation Hatian American. I have never asked for representation, but goddamn if it doesn’t feel nice to be represented(in a GOOD show) genuinely feels like two parts of who I am that are never related have come in contact for the first time

KalkiTheEternity

Yeah, he’s being annoying as fuck. He shoehorned his way into a role and now he’s pestering her constantly like every time we see her she isn’t busy as fuck.

Jon Fejes

I'm pretty sure they said they watched it back when it came out, but idk if they were reacting then.

ShaquanVirse

Iron Man 3 is still my favorite of the Iron Man trilogy

User10101

GREAT episode!! I love this show

afl_zimel

This is my personal favorite episode of Wonder Man simply cause I relate heavily to what his mom was saying to Trevor.

Devin B

The fact I'm invested in the story this much and there's no action rn makes this a hit of a series for me

Co

What a terrible brother. He knows what kind of issues his brother has and still antagonizes him to the point of crashing out and then asks, "what's the matter with you?"... We need more heartfelt, grounded Marvel content like this...even if it's only on the small screen. I never once felt like I needed more action from this show, which should tell you how well it's written.

SavvyAlloy

Mine too. First Marvel movie my mom went to take me to see in theatres

Delinda Arts

Need more Marvel Spotlight series, but one with Misty Knight

J’Auna Brooks

He's right ain't nothin in Cleveland I should know I live there lol... except for SUPERMAN!!

ViralCorgi

I like when shows have realistic "antagonists". Like yeah, from the audience's pov his brother is an ass, but we could also flip it and see him as a young man who likely had to become an adult way quicker because of the loss of their dad, and even now needs to constantly be the financial rock of the family. Imagine being the oldest, making necessary sacrifices to become a responsible adult because the pressure is on you to support your mother, and now not only do you have to support her, you also need to support your grown ass brother who gets to freely follow his dreams in a way you never could? AND HE THROWS A TANTRUM AND DOES THOUSANDS IN DAMAGE WHENEVER HE'S UPSET??? Yeah, he's annoying but you can kind of see the legitimacy of that first born rage 💀😂

Śtórmí X

Dang this episode hit right in the feels. Great acting all around got me invested in all the yap.

Game Dragon

Yooooo, that would be sick. Bring back Simone Missick.

dunk

Is this the same trevor from shang chi? He seems different

Nita - Kento's Widow

Martha is so sweet :(( Like yeah, Eric shouldn't have been antagonizing Simon, and he definitely need to buy a new island with the way he was talking, but she was so happy about it and her new kitchen 😭

vaygatti

He's not terrible y'all are just soft as hell. Simon is a grown ass man and to our knowledge, is not *diagnosed* as neurodivergent in any way. He's shown as just an introvert with anger issues. From Eric's POV, he had to grow up fast and be the man of the house since his father died, and while trying to be the backbone of the family his brother does the exact opposite. You can talk nice and coddle someone only for so long until you get tired of sugarcoating, and just stop caring about how you come across. Is Eric an asshole? Yes, absolutely. But let's not act like it's unwarranted when we see that Simon is practically a freeloader mooching money from his mother, who is being taken care of by ERIC! Simon has been trying to act for at least 10 years and has had NO consistent work. And when offered help, he rejects it. All Eric wants is for his brother to be okay and a responsible adult. Simon is a great character and a good man. But he's also a self centered asshole with the emotional control of a toddler. That "What's the matter with you" is not just a question about the crashout, it's about Simon period. I understand being the black sheep that doesn't relate to anyone. But I also relate to being forced into a role of provider and protector much sooner than you prepared for, and with no help or understanding of the stress that brings.

vaygatti

Yes, thank you. It truly annoys me how everyone sees the people in the show being slightly or rationally antagonistic, and just hating them without trying to understand their POV. It's happening with both Eric and Janelle so far.

Adio Sebastian

Being the black sheep of the family is a burden, further compounded by powers that you can't reveal to anyone outside your closest kin lest you end up in prison, on a lab table or worse... excluded from the one thing you love to do, that you're genuinely good at. So that callback is the ultimate vindication for all of Simon's blood sweat and tears, truly a lifeline for a guy at rock bottom who can't allow himself to break. This plot is captivating and just as an aside, it was heart-warming to see Haitians depicted with warmth, depth and dignity.

vaygatti

Simon is a grown ass man. I'm so tired of hearing this omg. After 10 years of mooching with no growth whatsoever in your career, and I'm funding your lifestyle at that? I'd be pissed off too. You can only be nice for so long...

Co

But that's the downside to pursuing anything in show business. Whether it's trying to be an actor, rapper, artist or whatever. It will always take years and years and the odds will always be against you. Anyone on planet earth knows that. I feel like the brother should be more understanding of Simon's ambitions. Simon only needs one big break and antagonizing someone who is clearly passionate and super-abled is doing everyone a disservice...clearly. And Eric has to know Simon is capable of extreme damage when angry. Don't poke the bear.

Mxri

11:45 to be a gust of wind between those two..

DIOR

the acting in this is so fucking good. like top tier shit. he kinda reminds me of my lil brother, he's a legit artist and just live his life pursuing that no matter what. I respect shit like that even if it never work out.

Bria A.

I'm crying. Why was one of his audition tapes for ZOMBIES (the Disney Channel movie) lmfao

Lily Rose

sheera makes me want to get an upper blepharoplasty, her eyelids are so skinny and defined, no excess skin/folds. perfect for eyeshadow. very doll like, very demure.

Paulothy

Oh shit, Simon's mom is the auntie from that Abishola show!

Domehead

“Simon is a self centered asshole” LMAOOOO no he is not bro. I understand Eric’s concern about Trevor and his family but that doesn’t mean Simon is the worst person ever.

CEIII

that back and forth of play quotes at the beginning makes me think this dude bout to explode by the end of ts

NiyaNii

im pretty sure the trevor guy was in shangchi, he had that animal thing

JoZé

27:35 the picture from earlier shows you the significance of the car

Dean Joyner

You already had me looking bad in a meeting with my peers and messing up my reputation by getting fired lol

Jahhsaintt

I love this show n most def appreciate the Haitian representation but damn not one plate of rice at a bday party?? Fuck going on lmaoo , n the moms accent was not the best but shit fire nun the less

Fatak Scar

Nah imma do my own thing

DatKid_Kaneki

wait ive actually asked to tag along to my friends parents bday and they wanted me to come n it was a blast💔💔

Lauren B.

What lady? I was so confused by the comment lol

kai. 🩶

this hits a lil too close to home

Delgado

The Agent is definitely valid, we've literally seen how Simon is; takes forever to send audition tapes for basic lines + disrupts filming with changing lines/scripts.

Nita - Kento's Widow

I'm not saying Eric shouldn't hold any resentment, tbh he probably deserves to scold Simon the most, but I just think doing that whole scene was kinda upsetting because of the time (mother's birthday) and place (mother's new kitchen) Simon is very flawed and he should pay everything back, personally I just think that people give Simon grace because he's the protag and the "black sheep" of the family

EternalScrimp

Man this show is so damn good. Tear jerker

Imari

The agent

Clinton the Bingethinker

The kitchen scene…nothing cuts deeper than family…I feel for you, Simon. And ugh, when his brother said what’s wrong with him after constantly instigating 😤 sooo close to home.

DIOR

They taking the agent shit way too personal this is HOLLYWOOD lmao the nigga lucky to even have an agent you don’t take precedence over higher list actors or stars ever and he has a history of inconsistent behavior like no I’m not risking my job for you nigga. Idk why tf they so pressed about her

Wrëck

his brother is a jackass if you know your brother can do that why would you pester him like that

vaygatti

Sure, time and place. Eric shouldn't have done it then. But so many people are calling him the asshole when Simon is in the wrong. This "black sheep" talk can only go so far when you're talking about someone who takes zero accountability for their life and actions.

vaygatti

@Domehead We literally see him be a self centered ass later in the show. NUMEROUS TIMES! I'm so annoyed with people giving him a pass just because he's talented. That's besides the point. Just like Janelle said, there are plenty of people who are talented who aren't a pain. He's not one of them. He contributes nothing to the family, even while chasing his dreams. He takes no accountability for when things go wrong in his life due to HIS choices. We literally see in the very first episode what happened, and he has the nerve to say it wasn't his fault. Am I in the Twilight Zone rn? ***SPOILER*** When he has a talk with his ex while catching up, he only does it to see if she talked bad about him to the reporter. That's the ONLY reason! And after performatively asking about what she's been up to, instead of diving deeper he makes it about himself. Sure, he notices later, AFTER she pointed it out, but that doesn't change the fact that it's true. He's a self centered ass who is uber talented. He's nice to people on set out of pure performance, all so he can look good in an article. Am I blind? Am I being unreasonable here in any way?

vaygatti

@Co You can follow your dreams while also not being a leech. You can follow your dreams while also taking accountability in your life when things go wrong. You can follow your dreams while also knowing your strength and regulating your feelings like an adult. Yes, Eric is ALSO an asshole who shouldn't have poked the bear. But Simon isn't a damn bear. He's an ADULT MAN WITH SUPERPOWERS! He of ALL people should have the wherewithal to control his emotions more than the average person. But he doesn't. We've seen on multiple occasions that he doesn't. I absolutely adore Simon; hell, I even see some of myself in him. But let's call a spade a spade Simon is an asshole manchild. Eric is a pretentious asshole who's probably bitter that Simon gets more freedom than he did. Two things can be true at once. They are both equally wrong in that situation, but it didn't just come out of nowhere. All I'm doing is trying to equally distribute them blame since literally 90% of y'all refuse to let Simon take any accountability for his actions for the love of acting while dogpiling on Eric, who's just trying to not let his brother become a bum. Of course, after 10 years of no movement AND no contribution for a man who's now 30-35 in California of all places, he'd be pissed, who wouldn't?

𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜 ✿

this episode kind of hurt my heart. it’s the one i enjoyed the most out of the series so far. the dish washing scene with his mom, followed up with the birthday cake sequence made me tear up. poor simon man.

ChrisM

Dude in the beginning looks like Conan lol

Slime SLAT

i think his brother is just treating him normally. hes an asshole but its not like he wants the worst for him. hes just tired of him bein a damn leach. didnt even deny his mom still sending him money. dudes like 30 something. i understand the brother. stop fucking around in life usin moms money and come work for me and make some damn money. hes not treating him like a monster hes treating him like a big brother whos tired of their little brother bullshitting. its called tough love

Slime SLAT

they just dickriding the main character and not thinkin logically lmao. she said it the first episode. mf you got talent but your annoying

Slime SLAT

constantly instigating his broke ass struggling little brother whos in his late 20s to early 30s still using his moms money to pay for his life while he waits for some big break that he hasnt gotten yet because he keeps getting fired? ID RAGEBAIT THIS NIGGA TOO. STOP FUCKING AROUND IN LIFE AND COME WORK WITH ME AND MAKE SOME MONEY NIGGA.

Slime SLAT

"poor simon" is fuckin crazy. can his brother be kinder? yeah. but its called tough love. man the fuck up and stop bein a bum. why is everyone forgetting the show literally started with this dude getting fired for being a pain in the ass. then he snoops through his agents computer WHICH SHE SURPRISINGLY WASNT MAD ABOUT BECAUSE SHE REALLY DOES WANT THE BEST FOR THE MF.

𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜 ✿

woah, “Slime SLAT,” you okay there buddy ? lmao. relax before you pop a blood vessel. i’m not quite sure why my comment triggered this response from you, but contrary to whatever belief you’ve gotten from it, that doesn’t mention the context of his brother *at all,* i can actually see where his brother is coming from. simon is far from a “perfect” character, but people are going to sympathize with what he’s been through as a child as we are seeing the story through his - and specifically this episode - trevor’s lenses, tunneling into the way his life has panned out as an adult. i feel bad for his evident loneliness as a superpowered human since childhood. how that’s alienated him. and that’s completely okay (as i’m sure it was a major point of the episode anyway). p.s. i’m actually completely fine with his agent and her qualms with him. i like her character, and he was doing the most. all these thoughts can coexist.

Jose

Bro Slime chill out, obvious how you feel considering you're posted three whole times defending Simon's brother

Beast Boy

Bro takes being broke personally 😭😭

Vinne

Yo this guy sucks as a spy he keeps leaning in with the mic lmo

em

ykw, im glad they gave trevor a chance to be shown in his craft and we get to take him a little more seriously. he was basically a clown for two movies, but this show is hammering home that he was in those weird places because he has insane charisma and is really good with people
