The cold open scene hit me too, my black dad (RIP) would sneak me out of elementary school with fake sickness to go watch movies and Broadway musicals in LA (my dad was also a well renowned preacher and my school was a Christian school, so they never questioned him). I'm conflicted on how they always make revealing super powers this small/ easy thing to reveal in shows. "You should've trusted me" That's not a small thing at all. How do you bring up super powers to your significant other? Like it's conversation on finances or something. And not everyone is going to be cool like her.
