so early i just shed a tear

Slime SLAT

Right when my food arrived 🙏🏾

Ernie

Early release!!! Let's go!!! Waiting on Dark thou 😌 mayhaps 2 Dark!!!

#1 Anime Glazer

W Roshi we been eating good w the drop times this weeks

Tre

Roshi, sheera and lupa jerseys gonna be in the rafters one day. On days like this, they deserve everything and more (complimentary)🤙🏿

Hanno

Season 2 is coming out next year

Paul Reyes

Y’all are really for the people!!

Jamaal Ellison

HBO Max has been back in its bag for a while. They got hit with the pandemic and the writers' strike almost back-to-back, so it took them a little while, but *Welcome to Derry* and a few other shows are amazing. What an amazing run! I also heard *Industry* is good. I've never seen that other show on the island, the one with the hotel. If they can pull off a season a year, that would be dope; that's how it used to be done. *Game of Thrones* used to come out every year around the summer. If HBO could pull off a *Knight of the Seven Kingdoms* coming out in January or February, and then in June, you get *House of the Dragon* every year for at least the next two years, and then I hear they're trying to do Aegon's Conquest. That is a mighty pull.

Jamaal Ellison

We should make that a thing too, Dark Wednesdays.

Hanno

I believe Rowan is lying about being pregnant. She's a prostitute so she knows to take moon tea to prevent pregnancies. I think she genuinely likes Raymun so she lied about being pregnant so she can stay with him. There's a parallel here with Dunk lying about being a knight

LaTesha

Honestly at the end of the day Baelor chose to fight for Dunk, as well as everyone else that chose to fight for each side. Aerion is a POS but no one was forced into this trial by 7 besides Aerion and Dunk and the 3 kings guard ( And Daeron but he should have hid 😆). All the other people could have said no including Maekor, Baelor and all the others on Dunk's side. Aerion invoked the trial, but Baelor could have stayed out with his heir. He thought things would be fine but that was too much of a gamble as the heir to the throne and hand of the king

Linh T

I love how they ended the season! I really hope the next season will be just as good

stayhiidrated

Did Raymun Fossoway just compile the greatest rookie season realm history? 1. Elevated from squire-league and got knighted 2. Founded his own house branch 3. Pummeled his dastardly cousin 4. New horse 5. Beautiful wife

Hanno

"A true knight always finished a story" Shots fired at GRRM 💀

Hanno

That scene of Maekar comforting Egg is easily one of the most moving moments in GOT. Maekar has just killed his brother and has been destroyed by it so he's saving Egg from sharing his fate.

CentipedeKid

Maekar knew what timing egg was on.

Jamaal Ellison

Don't forget about the part where he's about to start a business that's probably going to be booming, setting up generational wealth for him and his new family. They say when you play the Game of Thrones, you win or you die. This kid is winning.

Jon Smith

I, too, love stealing Twitter posts and pretending I made them up. Corny.

Jamaal Ellison

Damn! They keep playing with fire; they're going to have a very strongly worded blog post about them very soon.

Jon Smith

Thank you guys for posting these last three so quick 🙌

Jamaal Ellison

"The caravan departs after the roast" is crazy Lyonel Baratheon maybe the realms biggest hater.

Boogie

And a child on the way 😂😂😂

Hanno

Thank you AKOTSK for restoring my hope in HBO adapting GRRM's story. This show has been the most faithful of the 3 shows and it's incredible.

Jamie See

Awesome show, now we wait for season 2 in 2027.

Edwin Melendez

Love this Baratheon so much, he gives zero effs! I truly do believe Maekar was sorry that it had ended like that with his brother. You seen so much of the history of Targaryens hating each other but he truly cared.

Adrian Locke

No wonder Steffon didn’t like Raymun, this nigga an idiot 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

KapZachlan

The hoe's did say Dondarrion likes impregnating wives in episode 1...

Adrian Locke

Sir Arlan memories gotta be in S2 this nigga is hilarious

PropheticSage

Season 2 is filming as this airs which shouldn't impressive but here we are

Tejiri Ubiedi

He's really deadass slow, and he isnt even lowborn frfr so he has no excuse, nigga just dumb as fuck 💀

Oliver

Some say S2 will be in Jan 2027, but if not it will still be in 2027 :)

briana

I don't think Rowan is really pregnant but either way, she saw an opportunity and capitalized on it. This show has been kind of about faking it til you make it. For her it's like if she's pregnant then great, she's married but if she's not really pregnant she is still married and could get pregnant. Raymun seems nice and him standing up for his friend and getting knighted by Lyonel Baratheon made his stocks go way up. Now she gets to live on an orchard and never has to work again.

Adrian Locke

Maekar saying Aegon is his last chance to not fuck something up is sad

jordansamuel

I haven’t read the book, but I’m assuming there’s going to be some more fuckery in the next season for allegedly kidnapping egg… again. Boy is getting this nigga clapped left and right lmao. I’m here for it tho. Shit’s indeed peak

Bria A.

Season 2 has actually been filmed and might be in post right now lol, they're aiming for a 2027 release I believe.

Adrian Locke

HoTD Season 2 was dead HBO’s fault because it was supposed to be 10 episodes & end in a big ass battle then they cut it to 8. They about to lock back in though

Maleny

Yeah, the gesture really struck me, he put both hands on his son's shoulders instead of bothering to reach for the knife. A lot of emotion conveyed in that, on both sides.

Bria A.

Y'all think he's dumb...that man is exactly where he wants to be. It's easier to go along with it and get the life he wanted than make things more complicated lmao. And the Fossoways may not be that significant but one thing they are for sure is everywhere 😭 He's gonna be happily fucking the rest of his days away. 😭😭😭

Bria A.

If anybody's seen that one tweet about him living "a real Jacksonville Florida life", I haven't stopped laughing since.

BlakeyB

Judging by dunks face I just assumed she was pregnant by someone else since she was sleeping with manfred and dunk realised but didn't want to rain on raymuns parade, he looked dumbstruck 🤣

Bria A.

I personally think he knows. Like, either he has enough common sense to know himself, or she straight up told him offscreen and he's choosing to roll with it. In what reality (esp. in ASOIAF) could a prostitute successfully baby trap a highborn noble? They could just ignore it. I think the implication is they're gonna be having enough sex for her to eventually give him a son anyway lmao

jaahman

Idk depending on how this goes this show may be better than both game of thrones and house of the dragons. I think this season alone was the best among the three.

Krype

I honestly felt like he should’ve pledged himself to one of the houses as thanks for fighting for him but this is fine as well.

Thilde

Raymun is not a highborn noble. House Fossoway are just landed knights at this point in time. Their lordship was stripped due to their alliances during the Dance of Dragons. Why else would Steffon betray Dunk for a lordship during the trial?

Cool The Wrathful

Yeah, George RR Martin gave the showrunner never before seen book transcripts of Dunk and Egg. We really bout to see these guys grow, I’m so happy

chao_2x (ABZ💙)

if he did he wouldn’t leave cuz his loyalty and he’ll never pledge to Egg meaning NO SER DUNCAN THE TALL in the KingsGuard Book

Bria A.

I think the part a lot of people overlook is that the tourney was only a couple of days long. It's far too early for her to know she's pregnant by ANYONE lmao, so it's just an excuse that's convenient for all parties involved.

Bria A.

My point remains, nobody's baby trapping him when he could simply...walk away. This is a mutually beneficial arrangement for them both

Theodore Julock

Like Humphrey said, the debt was Aerion's, not Dunk's.

chao_2x (ABZ💙)

LET THIS BE KNOWN…They killed Baelor because George knows he would’ve been the best King in history

briana

@BlakeyB: Yeah for sure. It's implied that she is pregnant and planting the baby on Raymun but I just think she's not really pregnant lmao

chao_2x (ABZ💙)

Baelor son…has that white streak of hair like Jaqen 👀 NO ONE

briana

@Bria exactly. I'm pretty sure women came to events like this in the past to try to find a man willing to give her a better life. Raymun does not seem like the sharpest tool in the shed but is also nice and was part of a cadet branch of his house so she jumped at the opportunity pregnant or not.

Ernie

Rowan fine AF, Westeros Ginger hit different ❤️

chao_2x (ABZ💙)

🤣🤣🤣🤣oh man…how bad I wanna tell you but you’ll figure it out

Ernie

Why is people judging Raymund? Dafuq is wrong with yall? Is it hers occupation? Is it baby trapping? What is it? People died of diarrhea during those times... I'm sleeping next to a warm ginger minge. Before dying of itchy asshole.

Tre Staples

Thank the Seven Egg left with Dunk then, odds are the whole line would've been wasted if left in Maekar's hands lol (except Maester Aemon, he gets a pass)

Tre Staples

Baby bout to be born with red of hair, someone get poor Raymund that book Ned was reading at the end of Season 1 lmao 😂

Bria A.

Yeah Roshi, that's Lady Ashford (I think her name's Gwin in the show?). The whole reason they hosted the tournament is because it was her birthday lol

Tre Staples

Worst birthday party ever 🤣🤣

chao_2x (ABZ💙)

the ending is so beautiful because we meet Dunk and it’s him always talking bout Ser Arlan’s journey/adventures and teachings throughout the whole 6 episodes up until the ending where it shows Ser Arlan taking a different path, so its signifying Dunk taking on Ser Arlan’s role and squiring Egg on their own adventure now…

sol jam

Every story of Dunk and Egg are VERY consequential, small but VERY history altering to the world like how the line of succession changed after this one

sol jam

I like how this show gave us the possibility that ser Arlan might have been a sell sword in the east that was probably hired to fight in the blackfyre rebellion and that's why he never knighted Dunk because he himself isn't a knight but we will never get confirmation

Rob Pait

Realistically, the whole thing with Raymun is just how things were back then. People weren't educated for shit. He is going to live a happy life, selling Cider from the business he inherits from his dad, telling everyone the story of how he fought in the first trial of the seven in 100 years. And that in that day, he got knighted by a high lord, beat his asshole cousin, fought alongside future Kingsguard MVP Ser Duncan the Tall, established a new recognized cadet branch of the family, got a new wife, and a kid. That is going to be an all time, "all I do is win" moment for Ser Raymun. No one is going to question shit.

Ernie

*Dunk & Egg will return in ninth kingdom*

PJ Rivera

For those curious about season 2(no spoilers) it will be based on the book “The Sworn Sword” which takes place a year and a half AFTER the ashford tourney in which Dunk and Egg will be in the Reach(where the tyrells are) smack dab in dealing with a complicated morally grey political dispute so more like the OG GOT series lots of political intrigue Lastly to really rub salt in the wound for Prince Valarr is that the reason his dad Baelor died is because he borrowed his sons armor. It didn’t properly fit so it did not properly protect him. Lastly I love the small details in the show for book readers if you notice during baelors funeral there’s a black woman with pink hair thats Lady Kiera of Tyrosh Prince Valarrs wife Tyroshi people are known for dying their hair bright colors. Love the attention to detail

Thilde

Don't be too surprised when I tell you this Tre, but even if it was Raymuns baby it could still have red hair.. Do you know how genetics work? Have you seen what Rowan looks like? lol

Frederick

This season was great. I love the comedy they added to this show. Can’t wait for season 2

mysterioussfox

Do they know about Aemon? He is the third son. I think it was mentioned in one of the earlier episodes about him being a Maester. Aemon is the one Jon links up with at the Wall.

Carlos

That's just his Targ seeping through the Dornish genes

chao_2x (ABZ💙)

yeah I know but it’s just funny to say cuz they the only ones w that streak 😂😂

illnamethechannellater653

Lol then his great grand son, killed the next " could've been greatest Targaryen king". Straight generational hate.

Jacob Livingston

S2 in 27 and S3 in 28. Not a long wait at all.

Cinmnapple

They're filming season 2 right now! So we should have a new season next year.

Cinmnapple

its so great to have a faithful adaptation after HBO done f'ed up twice

Devin B

I'm surprised Dunk didn't think about Egg lying to him even though he lied to him the first time but that just shows how much Dunk wanted to journey with Egg by his side that he didn't question it.

WackySwacky

Just for clarification, the showrunners have come out and said Rowan isn’t actually pregnant yet. She lied to Raymun about being pregnant to get him to marry her, so that she could move up in life. As a prostitute, she would know how to use moon tea to prevent herself from becoming pregnant. The whores of Westeros drink it like water. It is meant to be seen as a parallel to how Dunk lied about being knighted to move up in life. Now that she’s married to a knight, Rowan WILL get pregnant with Raymun’s actual kid, not some Dondarrion’s red-haired bastard.

Jacob Livingston

Remember egg told the story how aerion would come into his chambers and put his knife between his legs and make him a sister so he could marry him. Aerion has always been awful to egg and what he did to tanselle cost the hand to the king and future king his life. It is a huge deal. The prince died in wht was supposed to be a birthday celebration and jousting tournament. George rr Martin said baelor dying was one of the most significant moments that began the Targaryens true down fall. It changed the course of Westeros’ history,

Adrian Locke

I mean the state of his children wasn’t really all his fault, shit went left after their mother died and the Red Keep has proven over centuries to not be a good place to raise children. Aemon wasn’t even his choice, his father Daeron sent Aemon to be a maester.

Gwyn

In this house, Ser Raymun Fossoway is a HERO!

maseken

Shorter eps and a shorter season but if that means we get a season every year, f it. Season 2 already filming set to release in 2027!

Barrett Rayan

The only issue I have with this series as a whole is that they changed the fact that Egg does actually get permission from his father in the books. He gives him a signet ring in case he gets in to trouble (to prove he is a Targaryen) and is warned to keep his head shaved. I think having him run away again is a disservice to the character and story because him being allowed to go is actually important. Him secretly leaving kind of kills the character growth that we should have seen because his lies and actions to this point led to the death of his Uncle (and the Humfreys) It's the only thing I really have a problem with, but it is still a 9/10 series for me

Spriggz

Never read the book, but in terms of his character within the show it definitely seems more fitting he snuck off. Also, they’ll probably explain that signet as something he stole before he left, though idk how important it is or if it comes into play. If it’s important to the story then he probably has it

Sugi

prolly summer

13

I really hate that they kinda messed up Maekor's characterization in that last scene. Pretty sure he did allow Egg to squire for Dunk in the book.

Cristabel

This show was such a pleasant surprise. Excellent television!!!

Cristabel

He deserves it man! Such a good dude.

Cristabel

Right! She’s awesome!! He totally scored.

Cristabel

That jazz choice was crazy

Barrett Rayan

It isn't more fitting that his character sneaks off because he is supposed to have learned from the mistake that caused the death of the heir to the Iron Throne. It is one of the big points of the story. it's a step backwards. Him having permission is also important, not just having the signet ring. It feels like they are just trying to create conflict where there isn't a need to do so

Futuristic Girl

it's not that serious I'm sure he'll eventually accept egg's choice and the actor said he won't even be in the 2nd season

KTRB7

Egg really pulled a Toph out here.

Heather

what the hell is moon tea

Heather

bro what lol, is marrying a prostitute a fantasy are something, barely anyone mentioned it

Shabammo

lil'bro pulled a Toph lmfaooo

blitzman08

these dudes laugh at everything jeez...

Delinda Arts

Duncan got hella XP from this arc

Jaelyn Mcgee

It's basically tea that causes abortions

Sam

I've not read this story so for me the show was a 10/10. Great casting, loved the action, funny, the whole lot. Another show I was going to skip but caught it because you gave it a shot. Cheers!

Jaelyn Mcgee

He's gonna start it next month and give up half way through

Rin Okumura

Game of Throne series can be great without dragon... Who would have thought.

Pop n Lock

I know a lot of people still like HotD, but Id be cool if they shifted like 30% of HOTD's budget over to this show lol(not for action set pieces, but so they can do longer episodes and more in a season)

ILov3U

ngl the second egg showed up I knew bro was gonna pull a toph and sneak off T^T

Goldyz

Crazy to drop that info when it’s still probably gonna come into play

girlygirl9983

AGREE I really loved it not knowing anything about this Game of Thrones universe lol

Blud

Budget isn’t the problem. They are covering a pretty short story.

Blud

Bro aint get no loot tho 🤣

Blud

They could always just retcon and say he was mad cuz egg didnt say goodbye lol

Delinda Arts

You heard the prophecy. the money otw.

howwlll

Also, Manfred Dondarrion was at the funeral because Baelor's wife is a Dondarrion

Raymond Terry

Raymun was being taught sex acts by his cousin. He's clueless.

Oliver

Problem with HOD is that S2 were the writers did their own fanfic and they were forced to cut the season by 2 episodes way too late when script was written and it was doing the Writers-strikes, so they were not allowed to change the script. We were robbed of 1-2 episodes of EPIC naval battle. HOD S1 covers approximately 78 pages S2 covers approximately 33 pages Also the showrunner for AKOTSK were working on S1 of HOD so that kinda explains it. Ira Parker is so good. S3 will be CRAZYYY

Oliver

GRRM wanted it to be a 2 hour movie since the first novella could not be stretched out, but Ira Parker the showrunner really added some nice details here and there

Itanna

Aegon was acting like a dickhead with that “perhaps you’re not the knight I thought you were” line. This whole thing happened because of YOU

Itanna

Ser Arlan kind of sounds like Avatar Roku

lackingnames

budget has literally nothing to do with anything here. 30min episodes was a design choice

lackingnames

The content of S2 could've been done in like 5 episodes. Horrendous pacing wasn't HBOs fault. Plus they changed things from the book for the worse, even GRRM was upset and had a falling out with the showrunner because the story got fucked. Literally not HBOs fault and S3 will likely be as bad or worse than S2 by all accounts.

lackingnames

@Adrian it wasnt his fault? Whose was it then? An inanimate building's? No. It was his fault for being a shit father.

Adrian Locke

Did that comment say he was blameless or are you illiterate?

Oliver

4:47 Lord of the seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm is the title of the King. However the King granted Prince Baelor that title because he saw him as worthy of it When Aegon invaded westeros there were 7 Kingdoms, The crownlands is the area around Kings landing so that's a "new kingdom" It's helpful to think of the Crownlands (at least in their current state) as a Washington D.C. sort of deal. When he invaded, The Iron islands controlled the Riverlands and after he became king he split them up as they used to be before and since he did not get a succesful invasion of Dorne, but had already proclaimed the 7 Kingdoms well than he just made the Crownlands the 7th and later the Iron islands was claimed and than later Dorne making it 9 Kingdoms XD

Adrian Locke

You know what could have helped with the pacing? Not cutting the fucking battle that it was supposed to be leading up to and ending the season on a wet fart.

Fizzy 🐉

Are you new here??? Cause this been a thing you don’t like it you can just happily unsubscribe and watch someone else pretty simple ain’t it

David Mchaney

Eggs path was lush green Duncan's path was turning yellow already and ser Arlens path was withered i guess symbolizing how much life they have left in this story

grimreapercz

Didn't even catch that. That's hilarious xD Two rebellious knowledgeable kids who prefer to live freely away from their family...wonder if they'd get along ?

lordjaggi

These companies normalizing these short ass seasons...

Legion

Lupa still a psychopath for laughing at that scene.

Kylian

Who picking beef jerky over medium rare ribeye steaks Aegon loves the Grind™️

kai. 🩶

ser arlan pulled a mitch mcconnell fr

ZK

the source material is insanely short and each book is a season so they did well to even get 6 eps out of it

jasmin

i screamed when we saw the roast

jasmin

lmbo i was coming to check the lamp

Scarf

The last kingdom would go hard

Oliver

By the seven I can’t wait that long. HOD this summer is gonna scratch the itch 😂

Alex sh

Why we always get this aggressive ass type answer lmao

Kris Barnes

Yall forgot. Rowan, the pregnant chick, was one of the women who was having sex with that dude Duncan initially came out here to see in like episode 1. That’s who got her pregnant. Duncan has talked to her a couple times already that’s why she was kinda giving him eyes like “don’t tell this dude the truth” during the conversation

Kris Barnes

One of the guys on Dunk’s team who died was from House Beesbury. His coffin was the thing in the middle of the tent surrounded by bees and that’s why Raymon asked how they get the bees to do that.

RealPersonMan

People didnt notice him because sadly they didnt give him a close up in episode 4 when you see the knights, but he is there. He is in episode 5 for a second and you see his funny mustache but that is all.

Durarara

Baratheon was lowkey cooklng, NGL. Most people would be willing to fight if over half of the enemy team wouldn't touch you.

Temeculous

Well if the do it right, should see older Aegon in other conflicts.

Fenpai

Would be so cool if each season took place in a specific kingdom, would love to see one in the North, and one in the Stormlands with Lyonel returning. Bro was def my favorite character so far.

Starvvoy

Maekar is such a phenomenal character and Sam Spruell is an incredible actor. He’s never been evil or a bad guy, he’s honorable and strong he’s just brash and rude. He’s a very understanding person and he loves his kids and baelor more than anything. The softness when he says, “your Ser Arlan did all that he could for you I have no doubt” is beautiful

Lele M

I am pretty sure she was never pregnant; she was just pretending she was so she could marry him. (She never had a baby bump, its fake)

WackySwacky

The Hedge Knight takes place in the Reach. The Sworn Sword takes place in the Reach. The Mystery Knight takes place in the Riverlands. The She-Wolves of Winterfell will take place in the North. The Village Hero will take place in the Riverlands.

Bethany

Can't believe you guys aren't watching Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. So. Good. Might be a nice quick fantasy fix if you're missing dragons.

KENXO

im watching s1 ep2 but idk if i want to continue watching it

Bethany

If you into the Titan/kaiju stuff, keep going. I think it just gets better, but I'm also just a sucker for the VFX

Rose

Just like toph 😂

Offw0rlder

This was fire, I agree that it's the best game of thrones-related thing I've seen as well. How it was directed & shot, those small funny moments within the seriousness, really reminds me a lot of Guy Ritchie's directing and he's one of my faves

Tsuki

He actually died. he was telling duncan a story, died before finishing it, came back to finish it then died again lol

Tsuki

This egg always causing problems for bro
