Fun history fact, the reason Richard is bad at speaking English is because he spent most of his life in France. Not only that, the main language of the nobility even in England was French. It was a weird time in their history. They even reference this in how Richard spent most of his life outside of England. Also when Richard a reference to doing 'that' once making it easier to pull the trigger, it's a reference to a painting depicting him executing prisoners of war en masse during the crusades. Even if this guy is goofy and acting knightly right now, the person he was in life was very much a murderer who was committing war crimes. He was pretty far from being a saint or a good person.

Just to clear something up, that was kid Gil that Ayaka saw in the flashback, a version of Gilgamesh from the FGO game. Saber never saw kid Gil, so it couldn’t have been her for the reasons you are thinking.

I’ve said this before but Fake blond Ayaka has no connection to OG Saber from F/Z or FSN. But I would be lying if I said that she has no connection at all to the lore of Arthurian Legends, More specifically a certain dragon from that mythology. I won’t say much because of Spoilers but you guys have technically met Fake Ayaka in F\Z you just don’t know that yet. Is this Fate getting Stranger or Fake?

Don't stress too much on feeling like there's a lot you're missing out on, the pacing has been pretty quick, they've squeezed almost 6 volumes of content into 13 episodes, to put into perspective how fast paced that is, 86 adapted 3 volumes in 24 episodes and some content was still skipped in that. It's kind of disappointing tbh because from what I've heard a lot of cool shit was skipped which sucks but it is what it is. Just to clear up, Ayaka isn't Artoria (saber from fate/stay night), you'll notice some characters in Fate have similar designs or hairstyles that can cause confusion but more often than not they aren't connected, it's actually a pretty big meme in the Fate fandom. I could be wrong but I think the Kirei flashback she had takes place after Fate/Zero (4th HGW) and before UBW (5th HGW). Also yes Roshi, Waver was talking about Rin, as a reference point Strange/Fake takes place like 5 years post-UBW so I think she's in her early 20s, the writer (Kinoko Nasu) said that given time she would be in the top 100 mages of all time so here's hoping they do her justice if she gets a cameo.

Ayaka was originally the mc of a scrapped (I think? there was only one episode) project called Fate prototype and her servant was King Arthur, but he was male, Gilgamesh and Cu Chulainn (blue lancer from Fate/ stay night and heavens feel) were also there.Arthur’s and Cu Chulainn’s prototype forms are available in FGO mobile game also prototype Merlin who is female unlike original FGO who is male - really recommend Fate enjoyers to watch fate grand order

Quick notes: - Blonde Ayaka is not related to really Saber, but there is a relation there because of the Fate Prototype where the MC is brunette Ayaka who summoned actual male Arthur Pendragon. What's important here is that blonde Ayaka is related to person A and the red riding hood from the incident mentioned several episodes ago. In the future it will be explained more as to what's the deal with Blonde Ayaka and as to why she managed to summon King Richard. Edit: side note as to why Richard doesn't view himself as a "good" guy. Basically back in his time, he was emptying the treasury of his country for waging wars solely for his own benefit. His methods deemed him as a tyrant/demon as pointed out by Fake Assassin, during the meet up with Enkidu in the forest. He also took part in the Third Crusade, where he ended up executing thousands of muslims. Without going into detail, during this time he met up with the Hassan, again as pointed out by Fake Assassin. All he did is a stark contrast to King Arthur (Artoria, aka Saber from FSN), whom he idolizes for being the perfect king. Because of this, he sees himself as a fake king. This is part of what Gilgamesh was asking him when Richard was hugging the floor in the church. And Gil really hates "fakers". - When u said "it was Ishtar", no, it's not her doing what happened with the "reality marble" everyone is caught in. It's all the doings of Tsubaki and Mr. Black. Once Mr. Black's identity is revealed, this whole situation will make alot more sense. As a reminder, Tsubaki kept saying that she will do better and that she doesn't want to be abandoned is as follows: the parents are mages, they wanted to take part and win at any cost, so they experimented on Tsubaki and use her in any way, at all cost to win and bring their linage of magi to glory again. The experiment backfired and she ended in comatose. I don't think it was revealed in the anime, but when they visited her at the hospital before she summoned her servant, they even asked the doctor if her womb is intact so they can use her for u know what in the future. It's that dark in this family. Quick note on the frames with the amoeba or w/e u call them. Given how the anime portrays the stories, i doubt they will reveal more of it since it's a very minor plotline: basically the magecraft this family uses is focused on microbes, which is very similar to the dick worms from Matou in FSN/ HF. Because of the bacteria, her magic circuits went into overdrive, her conciousness in a sense projected the world she was in alone. Coincidentally, that very thing is abit similar to how fake rider's reality marble/ np works. And because of these 2 individual's actions started infecting people and animals, putting them in a state of suspended death, where their counciousnesses were brought into tsubaki's world. Tsubaki is not really crazy, she's just a normal child who isn't aware of what she's doing rn. Much like how it was explained several episodes again, she was just a bird in a cage due to her parents who got freed because of her situation rn, as tragic as it sounds. Fake rider was not in the parent's bingo card and only made things worse, albeit not with bad intentions just as Fake Assassin said. No ill intent, malice or whatsoever. - Regarding the Atlantis part mentioned by Sheera, she cooked abit, but for a different reason. Can't say more as it is spoiler. For now, it is accurate to say that person who contacted Tsubaki is another new character. Dw about the brain sizzling. It's understandable, since the studio has to cram alot of the parts of the story into finite number of episode. Only way here to understand as well adjusted individual is by picking up how and what the characters are talking and how they react to certain bits of the story in order to put things together. From my pov at least, u're doing fine.

For what they explained in this episode: The Only reason Ishtar could manifest in this holy grail war was because both Gilgamesh and Enkidu appeared. Tsubaki's Servant is The Rider of Famine from The Book of Revelations. The painting that appears when Richard is talking to the police depicted when he massacred 2700-3000 Muslims during The Crusades. Cerberus in this episode is actually bigger than when Alcides was fighting against Jack The Ripper.

Oh yeah and Ayaka’s flashbacks take place some time between Fate Zero and Fate Stay Night. We know this because Gil and Kirei are both alive after Zero, and dead after Stay Night lol. If you’re wondering which version of Stay Night, it’s Heaven’s Feel version 1.5. Similar to the movies, but a separate different timeline.

I mean it's been pretty clear considering that even from the whispers of dawn special and other indications that her servant isn't just any ordinary rider, but one that brings famine, disease and eventually death by these afflictions. Even enkidu outright said that tsubaki's servant is a natural enemy of his, considering enkidu has close connections to nature and life.

I'm sorry. Ididn't think it really was a spoil, I mean they've been dropping hints at it the whole time. In The Book of Revelations it says the colors of the Horseman of the Apocalypse are as follows: War is Red, Conquest is White, Famine is Black and Death is Pale. Not to mention the mass of people, animals and plant life being afflicted by some kind of plague is pretty evident.

Im sorry but how is this not common sense. Unless they blatantly explain what something is. It has not been revealed. Those that knows fate will most likely know, those that really knows lore of fkin everything will pick up the hints and details, and everyone else is just here to enjoy and watch. And read comments if things have been cut. The only instance I can leave alone is if you can 100% know if a cut content is never showing up. But we all know that ain't possible unless it finishes. Just delete this or at least put some easy "spoiler" tags.

You know, to be fair to Richie, most native born English speakers, British or otherwise, couldn’t speak a lick of proper English to save their lives. In his time, his tutors probably prioritized French or Latin, as those were considered the royal and religious languages. And not everyone is going to have an easy time learning three languages at once. I’d be surprised if someone did learn all that at once.

That's not really the main cause, Richard likely didn't even understand english, and didn't like this territory which he viewed as secondary. Even if he probably understood parisian french (language of the nobles yes), his true mother tongue was probably either the Anjou variant of old french (not the parisian one) or the occitan from Aquitaine. To begin with Richard was like 95% french, his father himself (who created the dynasty) was born and raised in France (and was also mainly french), and was first the count of Anjou, then the duke of Normandy, then the duke Aquitaine (Alienor's duchy) and duke of Britanny, and only then he became king of England. That's the reason Richard didn't speak English. To be fair, until the 100 Years War many other english kings didn't understand english. Even if his father (Henry II) could, tho he didn't speak it fluently.

It's not the most clearly written Fate series for sure. I don't enjoy it as much as Fate/stay night (either route) or Fate/zero, probably because Strange Fake doesn't take time to develop the characters so we can actually get attached to them. Everything just happens too fast with big explosions everywhere.
