From everything I’ve heard/read, this isn’t going to be a season with two cours due to there being no space in the Japan broadcasting schedule for JJK to keep going this year so they say that part two of the Culling Games is just going to be treated as Season 4. I wish we didn’t have to wait until next year for Part Two of the Culling Games but if they are maintaining this level of quality then I’m more than happy to wait

Actually the activation for the roach cursed spirit is the death of the old man at the beginning. Now we know Dhruv's cursed technique is making his shikigami's moving trajectory into domain that cut everything that it touchs. Remember the two big rodent-like and multiple pterodactyl-like shikigamis outside the stadium when Dhruv was introduced? They form a everchanging invisible net that not even the swarm of cockcroach cant get in, so the roach cursed spirit just went "whelp im gonna sleep until somebody deal with him". However, the old man is probably pretty weak at close combat, at least relatively to Yuta, that it's wrap as soon as Yuta passed through his shikigami. Tho they never explain how Yuta bypass his domain, my favorite theory is that Yuta dug a hole then drilled into the stadium from underground where Dhruv's shikigami couldnt cover and oneshot him.

This arc has been so much more enjoyable animated than it was reading weekly, I am so happy they did not have the triple domain expansion as a cliffhanger like it was in the manga. gonna explain why they were on a 4 way truce, and why the roach was activated. each one of them were a bad matchup for another, Ishigori Ryu was a bad matchup for Druv because he could attack from distance and he didn't have to deal with his pocket domains, Druv was a bad matchup for Kurorushi, the pocket domain was a problem, that's why he went on a sleep waiting to Druv to die, as soon as he died he got out, Kurorushi was a bad matchup for Uro, she couldnt deflect and redirect all of his roaches, and Uro was a bad matchup for Ishigori Ryu, she can evade and redirect all his beams. and then Yuta came and started an all out battle after he killed Druv

I mean its kind of not. It's a literal Shikigami, an external entity that exists on his own. It's not "part" of him. Without Rika he is literally barely a sorcerer. Gojo without one of his techniques is still insane.

Maki could probably beat this colony. She is invisible to basically any sorcerer other than Gojo and Sukuna, and even they would have trouble tracking her. Speed + no cursed energy makes her invisible to everyone in this episode. She is also immune to domains because they don't detect nor target her due to no CE. Combine those things with her speed and strength and a sword, it's GG for everyone in this colony. Another possible one is Yuki but we don't really know enough about her. Its very possible she could win here. Maki is a certainty, probably easier than Yuta.

i think s3 of JJK will age super well. Looking back at s1 and s2 looking at the amount of fight and the quality of such from an animation standpoint and thematically. Every character in s3 got super sauced and leveled up Maki, Yuji, Megumi, and Yuta.

What’s hilarious is that yuta was plotting moves from the first punch. Also uro explaining her technique to get the jjk zenkai boost is what gave yuta the information on how to use her technique. So after watching this episode 3 times I have my final views on it. 1. Mappa has gone full force in changing the measurement by which strength and talent is portrayed in this show from comments stated by the narrator or another character to physical feats performed. Every added scene in the anime was a showcase of strength or talent using their technique that wasn’t shown in the manga I.E: ryu spinning is blast around him in order to build up force to pressure yuta his metal arms defense . Then when uro gets her arm cut off they cut out ryu stating that even with RCT that growing a whole arm is an incredible feat. Mappa let these people go home pleaseee
