I definitely knew immediately Rhyno was sketch, but they absolutely led me down the wrong path! I thought he was just gonna be nothing more than a coexister, I wasn't expecting him to be a whole ass Demon Lord! The man just screams pleasure from chaos lol! And after that it made so much sense as to why Teoritta stated when she first met him that she felt uncomfortable! It was similar to how she reacted to Boogum, her body instinctively knew something wasn't right. It also makes me wonder if that's also why the rest of the crew don't really mess with Rhyno like that either- like yeah sure he's kind of a prick, but maybe due to them all having experience with the demon blight, they all subconsciously are like "Yeahhhh, something ain't right with this one. Keep at least one eye on him at all times." I think Sheera might be right though, Spriggan definitely messed up picking a child as its host. But oh well lol at least Boogum gets to stay around! I knew Rajit was gonna get taken out, he basically said what like an episode or two ago that he would stand by Kivia no matter what til the end? But I didn't expect it to happen like thaaaat TT^TT (and Lupa you aint ish for saying he turned Rajit into a C lmao I busted out laughing at what was otherwise a sad moment) This was a phenomenal ending to this season man, I really hope its slated for a season 2! Now that it's over I'mma start the light novels!

I am so confused about the last guy. He seems to be with the Coexister’s on their side and punishing people who’s upset the status quo by at least being there when they are turned into a heros but when you think about it making more heroes does not make sense for the coexisters. There was main job is to kill demon lords. Now they seem to be putting the heroes of situation‘s to die, fighting a demon lords, but why does not make any more in the first place and just killed them off. I wonder if the last guy is kind of a double agent. And or the Coexister’s and demon lords, wanna make it look like humanity put up a fight and is losing so that people will be less likely to resist in the future I don’t know maybe the demon lords are trying to take all branches of humanity first before taking over because the story makes it seem like the royal family, the church and the military have all been taken over so I’m wondering what they are waiting for. Maybe it is the blade goddess and her holy sword.

Damn, I feel bad for Kivia. She's on that "From Riches to Rags" story arc now. VERY curious to see how Xylo and the others will react when they see her. Hope they show us their reactions as well to the whole fallout between her and her Uncle. I know the grey haired dude with the glasses is going to have something in the back of his mind about this. The interaction between her and him would be interesting should they stay consistent.

They already miss this detail from episode 10 during Rhyno first introduction, Rhyno wasn’t sentence because he was a demon lord nor was he ever sentence for a crime, he volunteer to be a Hero. Which is why everybody and his comrade view him as strange cuz why would you label yourself as the most hated person just to kill demon lords, but they don’t know his identity as a demon lord, just his human identity.

Venetim: accidentally telling the truth about the government having been infiltrated by coexisters Xylo: the fact that goddesses can be turned into Blights (aka. Demon Lord goddesses maybe) the head priest being a coexister. The guy that turns people into and supposedly controls the lives of the heroes that also has another goddess that’s supposed to know everything through her books. SO! The church itself is run by the coexisters, and the heroes are pawns who run around maybe killing the “rival” demon lords the real enemy wants to be eradicated. The thing that bugs me here is that if he lost so his memories, how come he can still fight like he does? Or when he used that long range rifle few episodes ago? From what i gather the dude telling Kivia about the ones of old summoning the heroes and them having cultural differences, i can only figure Tatsuya is one of the first very first summoned heroes because he is the only one in the group rn who has a japanese name and that the first heroes were prolly the only ones who had this ingame menu. With this ingame menu, over all this time he probably kept "leveling" and put points into strength and what not, aswell as using abilities like "cleave". This is the only way i can rationalize the dude still being able to fight like this. I went back to the moment the dude was explaining about the memories. What bugs me, the moment he started mentioning humans having souls, the screen is directed towards the dude but there's alot of focus on the 2 light energy sconces that look like containers. I don't think that was without purpose. That, together with the goddess needing to expend energy to resurrect heroes makes me think that if she doesn't do that, the human soul which is like a vessel of energy (similar to light sconces) will keep energy, aka memories. But if that is the case, then when are those memories/ energy go to? is that energy/memory loss tied to the sacred seals the heroes have on their necks? Is it related to the goddesses going dormant when their energy goes to 0/ have no mana? Aka human batteries?? And there was a clear distinction from first ep, when a goddess reaches 0 energy, she is susceptible to the blight and turn into a demon lord. If goddesses are demon lords (the same way as in the anime madoka magica), then how did the very first demon lord appear? I wonder if it's related to these headpats they keep asking because in no way shape or form do the other dudes who all seem to be assholes headpat their goddesses throughout the anime out of the kindness of their hearts. They all see them as weapons. Prolly the headpats are a way to gratitude, and if not given to them humans will be perceived as ungrateful and slowly corrupts a goddess.

No, the guy who is making them heroes isn’t a Coexistor. The fact that he’s contracted with a goddess proves that. The goddesses are completely incapable of betraying humanity like that. So we can at least trust that he hasn’t turned traitor.

At the start of the season, the trio made some Shield Hero comparisons. Warranted, and I love the Shield Bro, but this episode makes me think this show can keep climbing higher than that. Specifically, the whole premise of being a hero got explained and still left us on the hook for other aspects of it (the "repairs"/seals around the neck) The 'Waves' in Shield Hero were not as defined at the end of its first season and so there was no real hook in their discovery. This show had half the episode count and made every one count, down to the last moment. Amazing first outing!

Whoever he is, he's definetly AGAINST them but secretly (maybe and insider/ double agent type situation?) And him having a contract with a goddess just proves the theory even more, he might be sus as fuck but at least he is on the side of humanity

That would require telling the masses about her, which would make her a priority target amongst the Coexistors. They would stop at nothing to kill her. In a shadow war like this, not knowing about her existence is the safest thing to do.

Explains why his gear looks so old and why he's such a mess. Poor dude probably disobeyed orders just off bad communication.

love this show, love how since the beginning they been drip feeding us info on the whole hero system and from most of the backstory we see most of the hero's have been sentenced through being set up or framed for something, and the whole time we also watching another hero hero "set up" backstory unfolding

It’s a LN adaptation so I think your best bet is to pick that up or wait for S2 which is already announced. I think the manga adaptation is super inconsistent and also way behind. I think they’re at like ep 4 of the anime or something.

I think you're overthinking it, he's able to fight like that due to muscle memory. He's just a weapon at this point. Think any strong character from a show or game that has low intelligence but almost 0 in this case, just enough to follow orders

I love the "dude from the enemy race is a psychopath that gets off on killing his own kind so by proxy is an ally" trope. Especially great given the way the Demon Lords generally act, so the way it catches them off guard and crumbles their facade, mmmmmuy bien.

My theory: under the pretense of "punishing" them, the guy from the 12th order has been gathering people with weird personalities & unusual willpower (either mad people like Tsav, Ryno, unusually selfless people like Kivia & Xylo or even Dotta - dude fed an arm to a dragon to free a little boy after all...) that wouldn't be tempted by the Coexisters' selfish arguments (either because they're to selfless or to messed up in the head to care for "coming out on top" as overseers for the faries) to one day defeat the Faeries' "king". Would also explain why it switched to being a punishment - so it can be sold to the temple-guys as "we're humiliating them & making them suffer as an example" until they're ready...just a theory though

This episode made me like the show a lot better, shot it from a 7/10 to a 8.5/10. Kivia has grown to be my favorite character so far and this plot thread unfolding with her uncle was done really well and increased my liking to her. Might fuck around and read the manga
