Matt’s situation is even more fucked up when you break it down and recall the Netflix history, where Bullseye killed Father Lantom dressed as Daredevil. Matt’s gotta stop both these psychos who killed an important “father” in his life, from killing each other. Each of which made a mockery of the respective “father”’s lifestyle - Bullseye killed Lantom, a priest, in a church dressed as the devil, and Fisk has bastardized Jack Murdock’s gym and redefined it as a place for his victory.

Whats really crazy about the Vanessa x Bullseye scene is that it didnt matter, she was dead either way. Bullseye never misses so had Fisk not smashed the paperweight it wouldve hit her dead on in her forehead and probably killed her instantly. But he did smash it and the glass hit her anyway so ultimately it did not matter whether Fisk smashed the paperweight or not, she was dead the second it left Bullseyes hand. The only way to save her wouldve been to take Bullseye down before it left his hand. The scene actually reminds of the Gwen Stacy death scene in Amazing Spiderman 2. Yea his webbing caught her but because she was already so close to the ground by the time it did that her head snapped back and smacked the concrete and killed her anyway. He needed to catch her before she was that close to the ground just like how Fisk needed to get Bullseye before the paperweight left his hand. For both of them, they unfortunately reached the point of no return where it didnt matter, she was dead regardless

I agree that Matt is moving pretty stupid right now, but: Superheroes are robots- they “cannot kill nor knowingly allow another to kill” (Asimov’s laws of robotics). If someone dies during a fight or because of a fight with Daredevil (or Batman), that’s pretty much fine for them. But they can’t deliberately kill. Daredevil basically fights like a more extreme version of Fisk during the first part of the fight. Once Fisk got hit, he deliberately hit the other guy to kill him and that’s what superheroes can’t do (along with standing by as someone else does it)

I think this is the episode where we can say they finally got it back to what the OG series felt like. Down to the fact that Fisk is a step ahead of Matt and Karen and is wiping out witnesses. I think they finally got the show to where it needed to be. Fantastic episode

In this case specifically I think Matt not having Fisk die by bullseye’s hand is actually the smartest move. There are still people backing Fisk and those people can’t tell the difference between a serial killer like Bullseye and a vigilante like Daredevil. Kingpin painted the narrative that they’re one and the same. So him dying would actually be worse for masked superheroes/vigilantes than better. I hope he has a plan though because NOW shit is fucked because someone died anyway.

The fact that at this point bullseye has the most visually pleasing interpretation of “aim bot” ability is crazy. He threw the statue and even tho he got shot mid throw and Fisk ( the intended target) bats it away with the belt and the shard precisely hits her in the temple. You can attribute it to Wilson’s strength or bullseye’s velocity in his throw but either way Fisk is unleashed. A dead Vanessa is what leads to the unlocking of the spiderverse if you recall.
