Brainless Appendix

PEAK, also hopefully you guys watch ep 2 today as well

maseken

funny enough, apparently this manga predates jjk by 2 years

Ash

THEYRE WATCHING WITCH HAT ATLIER⁉️ omg im so excited for the rest of the season already

Jamaal Ellison

Oh, snap, I'm glad you're reacting to this. I wanted to see it. I saw some animation on Twitter, and it looks like they spent the GDP of an small country for the animation.

Vinne

WHAT IS YOUR PFP LMAO

Psyko6

When we sit down on this couch and watch something it’s a meal Latöm 🫸🏾🫷🏾

King of New York

MAJOR BANGER FANTASY ANIME INCOMING!!🔥🍾

King of New York

Not everyone with white hair and blue eyes is Gojo😭 There’s 100000 of those mfs in anime.

Kris Barnes

Why yall booin?! Roshi is right!! More than one Pegasus is pluralized as Pegasi!!

Imari

He’s voiced by tanjiros voice actor btw you can really hear it when he’s yelling

A

FAVORITE manga currently. The art is amazing, so even if you don't want to read ahead, I recommend reading the chapters that the anime has covered

Itanna

Don’t know why you guys were laughing, pegasi is the plural for Pegasus lol

Kris Barnes

Everyone magic user in this universe is called a witch regardless of their gender. No wizards or warlocks here

King of New York

Ye it’s Bug Films whose only other project was Zom 100. Amazing looking show and great adaptation but they had a lot of production troubles which delayed the last few eps of the show a few months (I don’t think the gang ever finished reacting to it). This show was meant to come out last year but had the same issues. Thankfully it happened before it started airing. All eps for the season are confirmed to be done🙏

David K.

my dumass read that as magical noodles, was waiting the whole episode for some ramen

John sekiro

It was on the schedule why wouldn’t they watch it

John sekiro

White haired boy is cringe

melloburner

what a fucking opening man. already i'm hooked

Xenoprism

Witch Hat Atelier easily the one I'm most excited for this year along with Steel Ball Run

Anthony

I’m so happy that they decided to watch this. I’ve been reading the manga and it’s so good.

Tina

Its funny because witch was never a gendered term to begin with. The salem witch trials had both men and women guilty for being witches. Its mostly just pop culture that makes it female only.

Bria A.

Crying at y'all laughing at Roshi, all while he is in fact grammatically correct by Latin standards. 😭 Justice is owed!

King of New York

Nah it's based on a manga not a LN, which is good because that means not nearly as much material should be left out. This premiere was actually meant to be longer, but the producer said it had to be shortened due to episode time limits. Even then, nothing really got "cut", it just got condensed.

Xenoprism

Fun fact: the composer for the music in this show is Yuka Kitamura, who also worked on the music for Elden Ring, Sekiro, Bloodborne, and Dark Souls 2 & 3

sora

Roshi, stop, stop. You're going to take someone's eye out. It's uh-TEH-lee-AY, not uh-TEH-lee-URR. 🙄

Derpin

Gojo what are you doing here?

PhaedrusRumple

You don’t look at the schedules they post?

DIOR

Is this a Jamie alt the only other person this dumb I remember being on the community was that danger tomatoes dude

DIOR

They needa watch Netflix Sabrina

Devin B

Idk why but this gave me Violet Evergarden vibes, maybe it's the overall tone but I can see this as a good vibe watch

PhaedrusRumple

Zom’s animation quality progressively got worse. Luckily, they didn’t rush this one and hopefully it doesn’t follow the same issues

JustADad 🟣⚫️

After the first 2 episodes I can see it but I’m really waiting for the big fights because the boss music is gonna go crazy.

Oni Legend

I’m glad to see how much care and attention to detail they’ve put in the art and animation. The manga’s aesthetic and art in it’s paneling and even random covers is so incredible and unique it truly helps makes it special The story itself is also very very good and honestly not what you’d expect going into it. Can’t wait to see everyone’s reactions to it

JustADad 🟣⚫️

Actually didn’t know this so appreciate the history lesson

Kris Barnes

Well a hippogriff has the head and front parts of a bird. These things are all horse but they also have wings so they’re pegasi

JustADad 🟣⚫️

As soon as he started yelling I hit the DiCaprio pointing at the tv meme.

Xemnas27

Lil jit got the black magic from the shady dealer 😭💀

ViralCorgi

Coco: "If I lose my memories who will save my mom? " Qifrey: "That really aint my problem" 🤣🤣🤣 jk but dude was cold blooded 😭💀 Witches went from seeming like a class of friendly magical helpers to being a militant cult very quickly 🥴 I'm excited y'all picked this up!

Emily Aster

That alley witch really handed a child a book full of grenades like he was handing out buddha's palm leaflets

Slim

Roshi's only spell would literally summon dickbutt the phallic protector just like it protected Lupa lol

Xemnas27

I’m done 😭

ComeTseMe

The fact that Qifrey is basically Hogwarts Gojo and is voiced by Tanjiro from Demon Slayer 😅

A. P.

Oh nahhh when I get free, you are grounded until your 21st birthday

Joni

my question is, CAN she save her mom before she turns 21? xDDD

Joni

is that tanjiro's va? i swear his scream voice is his passport n his identity u can always tell it's him lmao

Joni

her mom resembled eren's mom so much, i just knew she was gonna be a victim of some sort

tygspeedy

this shit look gas

Landez97

Amazing first episode. Hope this show lives up to the immense hype it’s gotten over the years

DANIEL PEREZ

of course just like and good way to start make the MC kill or cause horrible pain to their last living relative all because they didn't learn after the fire seal. I feel we are going to see some death to get those books, because some may not want to let go of their newly found powers which they probably have abused.

A. P.

Good question lol

aubrey

im caught up w manga and it is genuinely one of the most beautiful and tragic mangas I have ever read.. so excited for the anime!!

GNEISS

roshi is right about the plural of Pegasus lol

aubrey

"I thought it was gonna be some fricken forbidden shit" from lupa after cocos first spell is hilarious LMAOOO

Tabbs

Lupa looking at Roshi after seeing her badly drawn spell had me dying 💀

SirCapAlot

i hate kids lol just be doing shit

LycoReco

just fact this manga came first before jjk exist, so refer to gojo as qifrey not qifrey as gojo. He the predecessor. lol but this show truly coded for me. Love this so much. especially Coco, truly lovable FMC

WillGlacier

Ah yes, Qifrey, the original sauce that made Gojo

Cool The Wrathful

Being fair to Coco, it’s extremely hard to write with pens like those, the fact she can draw a decent circle is leagues better than most

Cain

What in the Gojo and Carla Yeager is going on here...

Gravity

ya'll watch too many dark shows XD 2min in and every corner "oh watch out" like chill. bad things will happen in due time. don't worry too much yet

Elizabeth C

Having to draw spells reminds me of The Owl House.

Bocchi in Shadow

Atelier are usually happy go lucky shows, I'm sure nothing bad will happe- Roshi: We'll clap your mom no worries.

Sam

So glad you guys are reacting to this 🤭 everyone had the sheerangan on the way you guys were predicting the plot! I’m so happy with the animation and the way they preserved the style of the manga! can’t wait for more reactions!

T2M

so we got medieval gojo now

JustThatOtherDude

The moment mom went "i don't wanna lose you too" was when the flag waved for me XD

LelaniG

See...kids just be doing shit 😒 Imagine after a long day, making dinner, now youre frozen for all eternity

Xemnas27

Bro Lupa’s reaction when he saw Coco drew all those spells sent me 🤣

DsWorldd •

2:57 the subtitles saying “Drunken Gibberish” when Roshi and Lupa were cracking jokes is killing me bro😭😭

Keenan

the legend of dick butt continues

October Veil

As someone who collects modern fountain pens and loves to use shimmering inks, I fell in love with this the moment I learned how the magic works. Beautiful artwork and amazing animation as well. I create zentangle mandalas for fun, they look something like the sigils created in the show. Love this Glad it’s been so thoroughly hyped. Might not have checked it out otherwise 🙏🏾

The_Loyal_Sif

I am already loving this so far!

GigaDirt

Is it not Pegasi? Lmao

Tre Staples

Worst thing to be is a parent in an anime lmao 😂

meguminis.

It won an international award, it totally deserves its hype

Śtórmí X

Nice. It kinda reminds me of full metal alchemist

naa

started reading the manga and I'm back to rewatch. This series is actually peak! Can't wait for episode 3

LeFlaneur

Is this the next Owl House?

Sue.Reads. Alottt

the manga's art is so detailed it's even better this is good too but something about seeing the line art is majestic

Anarchy

Genuinely. Who could expect that it’d go from tiny fire and some fireworks to a spell that freezes you for all of eternity. Actual evil witch giving that to a little kid

Jamaal Ellison

These are the type of kids you read about in fairy tales that get eaten by the ancient monster in the woods that woke up from a long sleep because they don't listen.

Megan Campbell

"Magical doodles" 🤣 When you put it that way, you are not wrong lol 🤣

Jamaal Ellison

This feels like *Fullmetal Alchemist* meets *Black Clover*.

Jamaal Ellison

I don't know what's worse being a mom and an anime that gets clapped or a dad in an anime that isn't a part of the family or is evil.

Nuke XD

so this what Gojo been doing inside that cube

t500010000

How did book seller do magic without circles???

ChickenDinners

We don't know anything yet. Perhaps they had spells drawn directly on their body?

I VisiBomb I

oh dayum thats a good one! then you just have to fill the gap in the circle every time and its like cantrips in d&d! THIS CONCEPT IS INSANE!!

Ethan Galarza

I’m pretty sure they specified that it has to be drawn with a special type of ink.

Mr. Every

Damn roshi, I didn’t know pegasai was that funny

Imari

I feel like owl house was heavily inspired by this and full metal alchemist there’s literally so many similarities it’s crazy

blud

VERY VERY GUD EPISODE YALL WERE FUNNY AS FUCK

Sam

Whoa, strong first episode. Hooked me already.

Oliver

Finally got to it and dammm. PEAK The animation TBATE should have had... I think Gojo's adventures are gonna be quite interesting

Carlo Marasigan

Pegasus is the name of one specific creature that we can call a hippogriff. Its not the name of the species.

Rishad GB

2:40 we still have to wash like thAT in our country since washing machine isnt norm here and expensive

Charlie baker

the dub got it, british qifrey hits

Jaden

Actually Jujutsu Kaisen 0 came out before Witch Hat.

The Zany Spirit

This thread is one comment away from revealing all the bronies. Edit: Found them below me. Also, I was referring to the guy talking about Pegasi. You couldn't even spell Hippogriff right, so I don't think you know shit. Probably only played Hogwarts Legacy to discover their existence.

Krohv

No you don't know what a fucking hipogriff is stop embarrassing yourself not everthing is MLP

Happy to be here

I knew her mum wouldn’t die right away because her hai isn’t in a over the shoulder side ponytail.

Rell_TheGoat

Random question anyone else decide to drop that Santa anime😂😂😂

AcolorfulZebra

Well to be fair, he did tell her to guard the door and not let anyone look and when she disobeyed him, went on to replicate magical doodles from her book without actually knowing what she was doing. If I'm just passing by minding my business, you damn straight that sounds like not my problem, especially when I just wanted to help then dip. But no, she had to keep drawing, she really should be lucky he's not erasing her memory and it's for purely selfish reasons as well. Sorry for the tangent, I just hate the trope of "Oh this child did the thing I specifically said not to do, well guess it's my responsibility now for some reason", so seeing him only doing this for personal gain actually feels refreshing because it implies he may not be as altruistic as the story lets on.

AcolorfulZebra

Plus now that I think about, this all could have been avoided if she had just ASKED!!! Instead going behind his back, she could have just asked him if she could learn and we know he probably would have said yes do to wanting a lead on the witch that gave her the book. Hindsight is 20/20 though, but still, pretty much anything other than what she did could have lead to her mom i don't know NOT GETTING FROZEN! Again sorry, I just have 0 sympathy for anyone, child or otherwise, who cause their own circumstances against the advice or direction of other people.

Snyra

I actually really enjoyed english dub. The only anime I watched in english were the og anime, like naruto, dbz, or fmab. I didn’t realize how much better english dubbing became. I especially liked how they gave some of the characters different accents!

General Grevious

This Qifrey guy seems like a pretty grand wizard

Nikabee

Am I the only one wondering how the MC knows what an astronaut is? Or is that some animals only narration?

rickie woodson

refresher before i pick volume 5 of the manga tomorrow
