Ines gave Mikkel sleeping pills to keep him sedated: both to prevent him from running away/running back to the caves in the evenings, and to stop him from obsessively discussing his past. She was acting out of a desperate, self-serving need to keep her adopted son, whom she viewed as a gift from heaven. Sadly, her behaviour crossed into medical abuse, emotional enmeshment, overprotective caregiving, and coercive control💀 Honestly… apart from all the time-travel chaos in Dark, it really makes sense why Michael Kahnwald turned out so depressed💔 Ripped from his life, drugged, isolated, and forced to suppress who he was as Mikkel Nielsen… yeah, that would mess anyone up. It’s actually heartbreaking when you think about how much he carried his whole life.

I actually don't mind Martha, but I agree her treatment of Bartosz + the whole cave situation was awful & totally unwarranted... It's probably the only time she genuinely frustrated me (however, she is only a teenager & her younger brother + the boy she's in love with have both been missing for ages, so I try to give her a little grace).

Yeah but for Ulrich, Helge has killed Ulrich's brother Mads, so it's kinda like pre-emptive revenge for a thing that will have happened in the future. Now of course Helge only kills those kids because Noah is telling him to do it, and Helge is doing it cause he's mentally fucked up by Ulrich hitting him in the head in the first place :P

What is crazy is that Ulrich's one major mistake was that he took a right instead of a left and went to 1953 and not to 1984. It was a 50-50 odds of finding his son in the correct timeline. Imagine a coin flip deciding whether you find your son or wait 33 years to find him.

@blizzity good points but before her brother & dad went missing her behavior between BARTOS & JONAS made me give her the side eye. But BARTOS was kinda forcing it in the flashbacks it was clear she wasn’t into him which is why I don’t like that she eventually got with him knowing she don’t like him but knowing that BARTOS likes her genuinely. It’s all a mess but I felt her grief & frustration with BARTOS in the cave but at the same time she annoyed me. All of em except the little sister annoyed me in the cave scenes.

The thing about Hannah and Mikkel is Hannah could have gone with anyone she wants, the one eyed police guy said so last episode but she specifically chose Micheal(Mikkel) to settle with, the traumatised kid that spent his childhood drugged up probably because he always cries every night before sleep without the drugs. So Hannah must have liked him

She's probably the reason he becomes a depressed shut in man later in life he needs to talk about his trauma to process it but she didn't give him that!

A lotta parent-child threads focused on in this episode. I always knew that Martha would eventually snap at Katharina (which I understand but it still feels bad, they missed the #lore fr), I DID always wonder about how Jonas felt towards Hannah's actions. I can tell that Hannah loves Jonas and grew to love Mikkel after settling for him, but her obsession with Ulrich both before and after Mikkel kinda made me wonder how present she was for Mikkel or even Jonas during his depression. Side note, for as flawed as his actions have been, this show has done an impressive job of making me feel bad for Ulrich when he was introduced as a cheater frame one. He's really a tragic and well-written character.

I'm referring more to the writers behind the scenes choosing to display it that way. They chose to display the sex dream between a 40yr old man and 15yr old girl when they could've just chosen not to display it that way. Even tho adult Jonas was the one having the dream, they still could've used young Jonas in the dream sequence itself. It actually wouldve made more sense for it to have been teen Jonas in the dream since the dream was a memory and he was in fact a teen when it happened. I'm just pointing out how shows love slipping in pedophilic undertones for no reason. There is no legit reason for why it NEEDED to be 40yr Jonas having sex with a child other than because the writers just wanted to depict it that way. Absolutely love the show, I just thought that was a weird choice by the writers/director to depict a sex scene between an adult and a child

You're talking about within the show you don't think it's weird, you think it makes sense within the context of the show and what I'm talking about is the real life human writers who exist in the real world with us who sat in the writers room and made the choice to depict an UNNECESSARY sex scene between a 40yr old man and a child. They, the real life writers who wrote the scene, are weird because they had other options, Teen Jonas was right there (again, especially since Teen Jonas is actually the one that slept with her, not Adult Jonas). But for whatever reason, they chose to go the route of 40yr old man dreams of fucking a 15yr old child and that, TO ME, makes them fucking weird because that was a choice they did not have to make......but they did cuz they wanted to, so theyre weird. We do not have to agree, if you dont think a 40yr man dreaming of sex with a child is weird, thats fine but i do. Yes, the onscreen sex scenes between child characters is also fucking weird and pedophilic because those scenes also dont have to exist but they do because the tv industry really really really WANTS to show children having sex all the time because they are weirdos. We not gon sit up here and act like the tv/film industry isnt full of pedos that intentionally include scenes like these (a 40yr old with a 15yr old and sex scenes between children) as pedo bait. Im throwing out a guess, currently if there is no further time traveling age wise maybe martha and noah will have charlotte as in martha tries to look for joans but then gets stuck in the 1920-ish time period, noah being the young time travel apprentice she tries to inquire about allat but then over the years falls in love etc. This is a wonky theory but imma put it out there. Once again dont confirm or deny and honestly thats a kind of a "weak" guess but yeah.

Why do you invent fake ages to make it seem worse? Is it because the actual ages don't have the same punch? Martha in the show is 17 here, the age of consent in Germany is 14. While it's "creepy" for a multitude of reasons you're blatantly wrong in what you're both saying and inferring. Even though I could personally do fine without the scene it clearly has a reason to be there whether you grasped it or not. Also, the actress in the scene is about 23 when that was filmed. So that's literally a 23 year old woman you're calling a child here, and go to deeply vicious personal attacks on the creators for. Seems like you're fairly judgmental and morally inferior with the vitriol you're throwing their way through crazy allegations, I'd never guess "superior" with that lack of self-awareness. Throwing pedo-accusations around is clearly something you take very lightly, there seems to be a little Hannah in you.
