Honestly it wouldn't have worked with the arrow pointing up either. She essentially made a propulsion spell with the arrow representing the direction of the push. The arrow facing upwards would've just pushed the boat down into the water

Completely agree. And no, I don't think she thinks that far ahead. The most likely situation in her mind would be Coco stuck there, unable to do anything and having to wait for Qifrey to rescue her. Like, sure, she could do the test when she was younger than Coco, but the point would be how long she had been exposed to this magic world and trained before she took the test.

Don't get me wrong, I love me an overpowered MC that is just naturally good at most things, but there's something so refreshing about a character that has to struggle, adapt to new challenges, and make relatable levels of development. It's was cleverly realistic to show that --yes, she can't be expected to compete with witches who have been training their entire lives, BUT she does have her own set of skills that can transfer over. Can't wait to see more of her progress.

I don’t think they specifically cared about her per say. He was selling those books to kids in hopes of them using the forbidden magic eventually I presume. They sold the books to others too it seemed, looks like those are the seeds and she’s one that has “sprouted” from it.

I'm kind of in the same boat. They probably just wanted to set a precedent of someone using forbidden magic without losing their memories of it. Maybe the Brimmed Caps want to change the culture and rules around magic and are using people like Coco to do it. They probably think the witches like Qifrey and the gang are too strict with the rules.

well, considering tailors draw on fabric before actually cutting, she probably trained her drawing skills more than the others, seeing as she started out as basically a baby. she just got lucky that both sewing and magic use drawings as the base for planning the result. if she was a pot maker, she'd be doomed.

Hate her rn and it was super annoying that the master didn’t notice that agot sent coco in there when she ran up with the herb saying “Is this proof” and got mad at coco, even if only for a short moment he should’ve been on agots ass cuz he literally put her in charge of coco. Dude acted like she somehow found out about the test by herself then used the window to go to the exact testing location by herself with zero knowledge of anything. Hope it’s addressed even slightly in the next ep with the master having a talk with her.
