Jason Marbach

Absolute 15 out of 10 episode. Cannot beLIEVE they got me to shed a tear for Wilson fcking Fisk. Vincent gets an Emmy for this ep or we riot

Jamaal Ellison

It was really cool to see Vincent D'Onofrio using a natural voice when talking to Vanessa in the hospital bed. But when the nurse came in to check her vitals he deepen it back up.

Eren Jaeger

Feeling bad for Fisk was not on my bingo card

Jamaal Ellison

People really glaze the Netflix show. I like how *Born Again* looks. The Netflix flashback show it's a stylistic choice.

Bionic203

How do ya’ll not remember Wesley?

hilly

they hit us with the double misdirect

Jamaal Ellison

I know seeing his regression into a child as he's loses the love of his life is sad. So what if vanessa was deathly allergic to pineapples and didn't tell him, because of some arbitrary reason and her brain injury made her forget and he actually killed her accidentally trying to give her what he thought she wanted to please her, because he was so emotionally compromised.

King of New York

This is my favourite episode in the whole show (Born Again) so far. 10/10. Sooo many amazing things about it. I really was pleasantly shocked at how seamlessly perfect they slipped back into the "Netflix style" and younger looks for the flashbacks. It was a really cool distinction they did with the aspect ratios and grainy filter. I think younger Matt with the wig is the best Charlie Cox has ever looked as Matt Murdock. The best Vanessa has ever looked too. I was HYPED to see Wesley again. It's been over a decade so you may not remember it, but this episode did amazing retconning for Wesley and Buck. Not only did it explain why Fisk trusts Buck as his new right-hand man in modern-day, but it also explained the "mysterious murders" that happened in S1 of the Netflix show. Whenever Fisk needed someone killed, Wesley would call someone to make it happen. Turns out it was Buck who did them. Foggy was the heart and soul of Daredevil man, and this episode showed it. The parallels between Foggy and Matt having mercy were beautiful and really show why Matt will always be different than Frank, and is the closest thing to Batman in Marvel. The symbolism with the white painting, white dress, white suit, and the fact that Fisk was wearing a black suit before he met Vanessa👌. This is what I want this show to be more like.

mysterioussfox

How do you make me cry for villain man? The foggy scenes and him talking about mercy got me all emotional. I feel like as I grow older I am becoming more vulnerable to emotions like crying. On a side note, BB is going to get Daniel killed by the time this season ends. Calling it right now.

King of New York

D'Onofrio is just so good as Kingpin. Can't imagine anyone else in the role. I also like how Born Again looks. I think the directing is really good too. There's just a different gritty, grounded aesthetic of the Netflix show that they really nailed the vibe of. I think I personally slightly like that one more.

Jamaal Ellison

I'm not making an assumption about you when I say this, but. I believe that when individuals refer to a "gritty" aesthetic, particularly in the context of the Netflix series, they may not fully appreciate the budgetary constraints the show faced. This situation reminds me of the original Star Wars trilogy and its prequels. George Lucas initially envisioned the first three films with a certain visual grandeur, but the technology of the time limited what could be achieved. Regarding "Born Again," my perspective is that it's akin to a new artist taking the reins. The flashbacks demonstrated to me that if they had desired a particular visual style, they certainly possessed the capability to execute it. For example, if the person doing the current comic run did a flashback and had it looking like the Frank Miller era.

Amire Wright

Daredevil like the toes and hoes 😭✌🏾

5Myllyon

what wrong with feet

Gilthwixt

"So this is the old Buck?" - I know it's been like a decade or something so it's no surprise if you forgot, but this is the guy that kidnapped Karen Page and got shot in the face for it from Season 1.

Imari

Why you just drop the best explanation in history

Gilthwixt

Damn does D'Onofrio have range, being able to pull off both extremes of Fisk like that.

Zoom

What happend to The Boys reaction?

CD

I don't know the time zone for the guys, or whether these are morning releases for them, but I reckon it will be a few more hours unfortunately.

Zoom

They already reacted to Invinceble and Deardevil, what happend to the boys reaction then? They just stop watching?

Anime Overview

Loved Wesley character but he was low-key an aura lob for Karen 😭

eric

they live in florida

Mxri

Pause- who took Vanessa for granted?

CD

Ahh I see, so about 5:30/50PM then at the time of posting, The Boys could very well be tomorrow and not today then, unless they do a later release since it's closer to 8PM for them now

Eldiablo561

Alright. Something’s telling me that we need to leave Hell’s Kitchen ASAP!!!

Mike A

I don't think Buck "knows" that it's BB, but he probably suspects. I think he likes Daniel so he's just giving him a chance to 'do the right thing' and turn her over. Great episode.

Jazko Exclusive

The guy reminds me of Oswald Cobblepot from The Penguin lmaoo

Dyastro123

I used to go to school at SUNY Oneonta~

Rell_TheGoat

Even if it was a coincidence I feel like they can now have the idea to do the watcher in these shows and movies kinda like a Stanley thing RIP

LUPASAN

Its coming

Indifferent Denji

Its kinda funny how this nigga said he aint have no real patnas and foggy said sum “i know”😭 ik he been waiting for that moment

Rell_TheGoat

34:35 idk if anyone else peeped but the lighting on DD eyes looked cool asf

Bryan

the BB plot is definitely cooking 😂 writers know what they’re doing

Co

I wouldn't say Fisk took Vanessa for granted. He nearly did everything and anything for her.

Krype

Man seeing Wesley was a trip he was a good character

Cole hauser

I like that talk between Matt and Foggy about the warrant. It felt like a smaller scale version of the talk Frank and Matt had on the roof in the original show except Matt was closer to Franks mindset. Talking about crimes he’d commit if let go and that dying in prison is a consequence of his actions while foggy was the one who said the guy deserves a chance.

Jacob Livingston

The acting was PHENOMENAL!!! Each episode has got better and better. This season has been PEAK all around. If only fiege fired original directors and writers of S1 in time to do redo the whole season instead of only being able to redo the last few eps of S1.

Artistikk

Not remembering Wesley is kinda crazy though.

A. P.

Either because I know that Vanessa always dies or bc both Wilson and Vanessa are evil af I didn't feel bad for them, but great performance by both actors 👏🏾

DevilMayCarter

I know people have been "divisive" over a lot of the supporting characters in this show. But that doesn't apply to Buck, he legitimately makes every moment count when he's on screen.

HBK713🏄🏾‍♂️

🫡RIP Nessa you will not be missed, Pinhead count yours days as mayor cause all y'all have to go 😤💨

Sam Campbell

This episode was phenomenal! However, I must be the only one that didn’t feel bad about Kingpin and Vanessa. They both need to go.

HBK713🏄🏾‍♂️

I think it's both on your end, my knowledge about Kingpin is subpar and didn't know Nessa would die but I dont feel bad at all cause she was just as evil IMO

bleach

Fisk crash out incoming

A. P.

Word, and we see at the end that she did have some good in her and if she had wanted to she could've influenced Fisk to be better, but instead she usually did the opposite

deesuschrist

Am I really an outlier in thinking "Fuck Wilson and fuck Vanessa, you both deserved what happened here" instead of being sad for them. I mean, the exact same pain he felt here, he has caused to many people in the past, and it's not like he's going to stop now that he knows what it feels like... Soooo fuck em lol

Kahdeem Suliaman

BB is really asking to get put down smh she ain’t even trying to hide it lol

tobsultraman80085

so my take away from the entire episode is matt murdock is into feet

deesuschrist

People have mentioned being sad for the villain / crying for them even in these comments. Plus it looked like Lupa was tearing up in the video

Damion Middleton

I can’t believe I joked, “how we first met” confirming Vanessa’s memory loss 😭 This Ep was a Masterpiece.

Domehead

I think it’s more on the acting and how this is really the first time we’ve seen Fisk’s character be so vulnerable. I didn’t feel any remorse for them but I can understand how some might. You’re def not the outlier tho Vanessa had this coming

DevilMayCarter

If Agents of SHIELD was still a thing...Vanessa would have been in Tahiti

Shane

Lupa is a real life, genuine empath. This poor man gets symptoms from this emotionally stressful shit. I feel bad sometimes, lmao.

Jamaal Ellison

I kinda wanted B.B to be in the trunk for being so obvious. Fisk had got too many capable people around him to not know it's her.

Jamaal Ellison

I'm so over the whole Daniel Blake and B.B. thing. He's had so many chances and keeps messing up. B.B. clearly doesn't care about him, she's totally used him and left him hanging, and he's still sticking around even though he knows it. It's just frustrating to watch. He should have been done with her last season. After she screwed him over instead of deading the relationship, he tried to threaten her. Knowing his life is at risk.

WackoB

Wish the entire born again show looked like the Netflix version now knowing they CAN emulate it but choose not to. Oh well

Jamaal Ellison

Listen, Fisk and Vanessa have intentionally or inadvertently killed a lot of spouses. Ben Urich had a wife who was in the hospital sick when Wilson killed him. I wonder what happened to her; I believe she had Alzheimer's.

Jamaal Ellison

You may recall that in the third season of Daredevil, a character named Julie was the subject of obsessive stalking by Dex. Wilson Fisk exploited and manipulated her to exert control over Dex. Julie was employed at a suicide prevention hotline. Wilson orchestrated their initial encounter, allowed their relationship to develop, and subsequently arranged for her demise. This act was designed to appear as if she had intentionally distanced herself from Dex, thereby drawing him closer to Fisk.

horatio

Nah facts at this point I'm rooting for BB to go!!

horatio

I agree with you that he's probably waiting for Daniel to turn her over but there is no way in hell he doesn't know at this point. Did you see the speed he pulled up with in the hospital? I'd be shocked if he didn't overhear that conversation with daniel and BB.

Jamaal Ellison

It's just annoying me because he knows how crazy Fisk is, and I refuse to believe that he's simping for her so hard that he's willing to put his life at risk to save her protect her when she has potentially almost gotten him killed a few times and I would hate. For his story to end with him dying after having messed up once again and she gets to live when she's been so transparent. It just feels so lazy to me and maybe that's my own fault, because I kind of imagine him to be the protege of Wilson Fisk and Blake's been kind of disappointing.

Jamaal Ellison

I hate the idea that BB'S been gathering evidence to bring down the kingpin right under his nose, when this is a guy who managed to manipulate the FBI into doing whatever wanted. Wilson Fisk and Daredevil season, 3 of a Netflix show was a survivant and a savant it boils my piss that this guy might be taken down by his deputy of communications, and wherever the guy is, because he was a simp.

Jamaal Ellison

This just feels so inconsistent with his character! We've seen who he is and who he surrounds himself with. He's the Kingpin, how could he not know what his deputy mayor of communications is doing?! 🤨 #Character #Inconsistency #Kingpin

Jaheim Kario

"so this was the old buck" ??? i'm confused have these guys seen the original show or not?

Kahdeem Suliaman

No they both know it’s BB. Buck wants Him to take the initiative and take out BB. He wants Daniel to have his pivotal life moment

Honored one

Well I think its more so because he chose not to leave his life of crime to just be with her so in a way he didn't do everything for her.

dunk

When Vanessa woke up and looked scared of fisk it reminded me of into the spiderverse when he brought her and his son back

Thetallgate

I watched yall reaction just to see Vanessa die again SEE YA BITCH

KalkiTheEternity

Sheera gotta be the jumpiest person I have ever seen bro. 😂

Śtórmí X

Great episode lots of emotions. Lawd pray for that city

SheepdoG8

i don't have sympathy for villains sooooo yeah

Christian Owusu

Yall have got to watch the OG show, how’d yall forget Wesley??? Karen’s first kill in the show

Joker416

dude they watched the show, they have referenced it plenty of times. Do you know how long its been since the netflix show

Joker416

again its been years since that show. Look through this channel and look at how much shit they watch, they're not gonna remember every single damn detail. Hate when people like you act like yall remember every little detail when you probably recently watched old show or another youtubers recap and come here acting like a know-it-all

Christian Owusu

I mean Wesley was brought up many times, Karen telling Fisk how she killed him is one of the best parts of S3😭

Delinda Arts

Buck is ice cold. Had Daniel in there about to confess shit he never even did lmao

c_entertainment

You're right he took her for granted and that's karma tho, for them both smh

Nick

How dare they not remember all the details from a show that came out 11 years ago!

Ryley Alger-Hempstead

I was completely sure that Buck was gonna have Daniel kill BB, especially when he started talking about loyalty

sol jam

His adoptive daughter hates him and his wife died oof this guy is going to be a demon

Offw0rlder

Yup and I can relate to that a lot, it's why I almost dropped this one & why I skip other series entirely lol

Offw0rlder

I just wanna see Daniel get smoked next lol

Mack

I said Last week was the best episode of the series, this is now the best one. They bridged the flashbacks with whats happening currently perfectly.

Mack

Buck def knows its BB. Its not like Daniel hasn’t made it pretty obvious. I also think having Daniel take care of that body with him puts Daniel in the mud with everyone else. His hands are fully dirty now and its tougher to be one foot in and one foot out.

Krohv

Dare devil is such a dumbfuck the law is not on the side of justice. Fucking capeshit

Krohv

This episode is mostly boring. I don't give a fuck about foggy. Comic relief characters are annoying and useless.

Krohv

How many pedos do you think that fucking priest is protecting?

Ayanda Mpofu

Fisk showing that type of emotion was fucking great. Years ago i never would have guessed we'd get a scene like that.

TheLastOptimist

the unanimous "oh" when Vanessa asked the same question again lmao

Don't Care

I truly don't care about the head of communications man, bro folded over a hug, and he already knew she was leaking info from him.

Cinmnapple

its over for NY. don't let kingpin hear you so much as chuckle cuz the task force gonna put you in a cage

Koji

I do not feel bad for Fisk in the slightest, because they had all this coming and more. Sure, Fisk's voice breaking was rough but satisfying as hell

Antonio

Imma be real I’m here rewatching and every time I see this Fisk monologue It always makes me tear up because I feel the love he has for Vanessa got my ass in my feels is crazy lol

CJ Dennis

People may have some empathy for them but at the same time they are not really shredding a tear for them facing the consequences of their actions 🤔.
