Homelander and Ryan has now entered the Omni-Man and Mark dynamic, where you beat your son half to death to "teach them a lesson". I truly feel for Ryan because he has literally no adults that actually care about him, that boy was fucked the moment his mom died. Butcher asking Ryan (a child) to go die was fucked no matter how you look at it and Homelander thinking he has to beat his son into submission was gross to watch just like in Invincible. Doesn't make the sotryline or the characters any less great though just tough to watch. Homelander remains the highlight of this series, like this show truly wouldn't work with him and Antony Starr continues to be the best actor in the cast. I wonder now if Soldier Boy is going to start seeing and treating Homelander differently after talking to Firecracker. Their Dynamic is very interesting to me as well, glad we are seeing more of them together.
