Y'all don't need this you figured it out at the end but I'll leave the comment up for the 33 year cycle bit Couple clarifications... 1) The girl Tronte is talking to at the lake who he gives the bracelet to is Jana. His wife in 1986, Jana is Mads and Ulrich's mom. So he marries that girl but in 1986 he cheats on Jana with Claudia you can see Claudia being friendly with him grabbing his hand and asking him to pull down his pants that is a love triangle brewing for the past 33 years like Ulrich, Katharina and Hannah. Also remember the cycle repeats every 33 years. Doris cheats with Agnes, Agnes goes missing leaving Teenage Tronte alone. Tronte cheats with Claudia, Claudia goes missing leaving teenage Regina alone Ulrich cheats on Katharina and then Ulrich goes missing leaving his kids alone. 2) The girl Hannah talks to Helene Albers is Katharina's mom. Remember Hannah is in 1954. In 1987 Katharina is a teenager. So in 1954 we see Katharina's mom getting an abortion as a young kid. 33 years later she is like late 40s early 50s with a teenage Katharina. Also the fact she's having kids that young and aborting them shows she was abused as a child and thus she in turn abuses Katharina as a child. Things repeat every 33 years

I love this episode so much "The way of the heart cannot be explained" everyone loves someone that doesn't love them back, Egons wife Doris is in love with Agnes but Agnes was just honey potting her, Hannah loved Egon but to Egon she was his side piece, Helge mother is into Noah but Noah is obviously in love with Elisabeth and finally of course Jonas and Martha. Honestly with this and From at the same time, we got to get Lost at some point, it would probably be like snowfall where it may not get the most clicks but the real community is there. Lost is literally the founding father of modern television drama and you can find traces of that show in everything significant from breaking bad to dark to AOT and so on. Its obviously not without its flaws but it also has strengths that surpass some of these "best shows" ever like breaking bad vs lost when it comes to soundtrack is like coughing baby vs nuclear bomb. And again lost came a good bit before something like Breaking Bad let alone Dark and especially with Dark it couldnt be more on the nose where they got their inspiration from. Also quite frankly the characters in lost are so much more sympathetic than in this show, Dark is really watched for the plot but its not a show where when people die you really care at least in most instances, cause theres little to no emotional investment happening.

I think you're genuinely and honestly making this much more complicated than it needs to be. All the narrative cues point to it (the camera switching to him after Jonas and Martha initially kiss, the entire end scene, the significance of them panning to the Adam and Eva portraits immediately before showing him again, him working for his mother in the first place) and it has been outright said. There's only four episodes left. While the *plot* may bait and switch, I don't think this specific point will. Ruins the (deserved, in this case) shock value. And that's also the point of it. He's NOT Adam and Eva's child. He is the child of a Jonas who won't become Adam and a Martha who won't (at least if I'm following correctly) become Eva. He isn't a mirror reality child. He isn't meant to exist, really.
