I felt like this movie wasn’t really necessary. At first I was really hyped when I finished s6 and heard it was getting a movie but after watching I feel like it’s a 6.5/10 still enjoyable just not my favourite.

Main issue is it focuses on the wrong son. A character that was just introduced towards the end. He always felt like he was added at the last minute.

Movie fucking sucked. Character assassination to the max. I hate this era of cinema. Everything is just so trash, with a few glimmers of gold. It's like the writers had a lobotomy halfway through writing. I hope it will improve soon, and purge the previous writers' rooms completely.

I believe everybody from the main cast is dead except for Finn who said he wanted revenge on Duke unless they mentioned he died and I wasn’t paying attention. I’m still also curious what Tommy wanted Duke to tell Charles at the end of season 6. I liked parts of this movie but I just feel like the characters were completely different than who they’ve been established to be. Like Tommy killing Arthur doesn’t make sense to me at all. It would’ve also been cool to see Charles at war seemingly destined to become like his father when he returns. However, apparently he was in a military uniform at Tommy’s funeral so I guess not.

The way I see it, there are only 3 scenarios where that killing makes sense. The first one would be if he betrayed Tommy like Michael did. The second one would be an accident and the last one would be a mercy kill, somehow. Clearly the first one didn't happen, and they discarded the latter two too, so we are left with that lame excuse. It's just bad. It goes against everything we know about Tommy and him up to now.

I'm not upset, just disappointed. When I heard a movie was coming out to end it and what time period it was, I thought it was going to be a balls to the wall final shoot out for tommy with some Nazis and getting revenge on Mosleys bitch ass. And then we got this and idk what I would even call this, felt like filler to be honest. A son/character we don't give a shit about because he came out of nowhere, a villain we don't know or have any attachment to, no Alfie, no big plot other than fighting inflation. Just felt like I was waiting for the movie to pick up and it never did. Peaky blinders is one of my favorite shows btw so this is 0 hate on the series.

It was too bad the actor that played Arthur was such a problem during the filming of the final season and then got arrested for drugs. It would have helped to have him and Alfie in this. But he acknowledged all that and was supportive of the film even though he wasn't a part of it.

I think the main reason the guy didn't take the grenade out of his pocket is because he's been on the front lines, he knows how grenades work, and I think he also didn't want to kill innocent people in the bar for him being stupid, so he wanted to run out and then take it out, but he underestimated how much time he would have, so he just exploded and died. 😭😭

I think a sequel series where Charles comes back from WWII, finds out his dad's dead, and sees Duke, the illegitimate son, has taken over his legacy and is running the Peaky Blinders would be super interesting. Charles could totally break bad and become Duke's antagonist. I'd actually love to see that. After rewatching this movie, I don't hate it as much as I did the first time. I still have some issues, but it's actually not that bad. But as you binge the first season to the last and then jump straight into this movie, oh, you're going to be furious because they skip over everything that happened in the last season. It kind of felt like more was coming, and none of the last season's loose threads get addressed. It's kind of just a whole new story. It's kind of a backdoor pilot for a new series. That's one of the big issues I have with it.

Apparently they had to re-write a lot of it last minute. The guy how played Arthur had real life problems with drugs, kept being a disruption on set and even got arrested for it. They had to eventually kill him off the show. He looks completely different now too

Yes exactly! How cool would it have been to focus on Charles instead. I know he's in the war in Africa but what if he came home on leave er something and found himself being challenged due to being a Shelby by new gangs er something. I'm much more interested in how Charles' life turned out. Plus the Duke from the show is a completely different character than the Duke from this movie. Show Duke was more like Tommy and more dimensional even though we only saw him for a short time. This movie Duke was so flat and such a dissapointment.

The Immortal Man was needed because Peaky Blinders was never just about gangs or power, it was about survival, grief, and the cost of becoming a legend. This movie gave Tommy Shelby the kind of ending that felt earned. Dark, poetic, brutal, and beautiful all at once. It didn’t just continue the story, it completed it. By order of the Peaky Blinders, this was absolute cinema.
