Quick question have they never seen shangri-la ?

Seibahhh

Ts is so peak

Clie

Why-man: "You took too long to wake up", this shi implies that other alien species they petrified in the past would've woken up way sooner than 3700 years. For all we know those alien species could've literally taken a day to a year to wake up again from petrification by sheer brainpower alone and no external factors like nitric acid (how Senku and Xeno got out). Just goes to show how humans are not the smartest thing in that universe.

Desert Penguin

We're still getting Vox today right?

nocomprendo

the reason they sent that many to earth the first time at once was so someone couldn't do the trick of throwing a de-petrification bottle in the air as the wave is coming, because thousands more would follow immediately after ensuring the whole planet is petrified

BZD

The Medusa’s really said, “we thought you’d wake up sooner.”

camille

You gotta be trolling at this point lol.

Jeremiah Cobb

After 7 long years, the Stone World comes to an end.

BZD

You were supposed to wake up a week later.

BZD

I think the giant group was sent down for humans to find, and then replicate and give batteries.

BZD

They were so smart but really poor communicators.

BZD

I think it was to help humanity come into contact with them when they woke up, of course the one issue is that they didn’t wake up as quickly as Why man expected. They were probably treating it almost like a gift basket. Here are all these petrifaction devices to give everyone eternal life, now just replace our batteries.

Yaniko Satou

you guys should mouse kdrama.

Lucky_Icarus

I fucking love the reveal that these machine parasites have been doing this shit for god knows how long and with god knows how many aliens and despite it all, humanity is the very first fuck ups they've personally encountered. They legit just didn't know we weren't chill like that and our brains are too smooth, unlike every other alien they met. They misread the vibe check and weren't prepared for that cause it's the first time it's happened. Cinema.

When the entire Treasure Island was petrified in S3, it almost completely wiped the Medusa's battery. Granted, the device had been used for centuries without getting a new battery. When that same Medusa was used in S4 to petrify the entire planet, it had just been given a brand new battery. The reason I bring this up is because it makes me wonder how much energy the Medusa needs to petrify. That could be another reason why so many devices were sent to Earth initially. A host species is needed to replace their batteries, so it's probably safe to assume that none of them had 100% battery life at the time of their invasion. Maybe there was no guarantee that they all had enough juice to petrify the entire planet?

10/10 FUCKING REVEAL ; 10000/10 FUCKING EPISODE

sol jam

I think they miscalculated because probably when they saw the "space craft" on the moon they thought we are more advanced than we are like a space travelling species advanced when we are not there yet

sol jam

I really like this author. This reveal is predictable and some people already predicted it but he stood his ground and did it in a really good way that it don't matter if anyone predicted aliens

sol jam

Too autistic

Kris Barnes

There’s probably not that many intelligent life forms in the universe or they’re very spaced out (pardon the pun) so waiting 3,700+ years for humans to figure it out makes more sense than flying off in search of some other species with radio waves

Andrew

The reason they petrified everybody at the beginning was to demonstrate the capabilities of the petrification to whatever host they chose, so when they wake up they agree to help the why men in exchange for using the petrification beams for their healing capabilities. The issue was that the why men assumed humans were more intelligent than they were(even Senku), so it took thousands of years for them to reawaken when it should have been much shorter.

Kreative

Idk man, this last season has been pretty ass to me. The conclusion of this show seems like a waste to me. Such a large fall from grace from the first 2 seasons

Arkan Matlub

They probably assumed that humans were smart individually, but the reality is humans are a group and evolve together, so 3000 years is the consequence of thinking of humans as individual entities and not social creatures

Arkan Matlub

You know, it makes fully sence why oxygen is toxic to aliens. Cause "our" breathable oxygen isn't that common unless the planets have photosynthesis plants that could produce as such

Devin B

Honestly it's better to expand on something that makes sense even if it's predictable than it is to come up with some crazy twist that loses the plot of the story

Justice

So the lesson of the episode is, humans are dumb. There's just alot of us, so it doesn't matter

Justice

To sum it up the Medusa were like. "OK we send some of our people down to petrified, the smartest of the petrified species wake back up quickly and we get a host species. The usual formula" A couple thousand years later "Why no work" "Well sir, maybe these guys are just a really dumb intelligent species, and we overestimated them" "Well we're in too deep now, we already wasted this much time let's just double down on these disappointments"

The Uprising

YEP it makes a point to show you how battered the rover is on the moon naturally when a advanced species sees this they would assume because of how abandoned and battered it is it must be OLD technology their only downfall was not predicting how old it was which lead to them thinking they were well past planetary travel

Mufasa

Exactly, and petrification (healing/immortality) might have been something thats appealing to other aliens and humans are probably the first creatures that Why-man saw that denied it.

Kablamoo101

knew u guys would like the reveal

Nikabee

I'm just glad the author went with non-humanoid designs for the aliens. We need more aliens that look alien in fiction.

Nigel Douglas

I don’t mind it here at all, but the shonen manga “just make it aliens at the end” pattern has gotta stop. Like in battle shounen, I understand you reach a specific point where all the villains of the earth have been defeated or explored already, but we can’t just keep introducing aliens at the very end of the story

Kurxai

this is so amazing those mechanical parasytes follow the same logic migi from parasyte would use its like the author studied the manga parasyte
