Wow, I'm saying something seemingly obvious, but Se-ri's family is trash. Now, I know they've been shown to be terrible before, but I thought at least the stepmother was cool. They seem to have tension between each other, but in the flashback, basically telling your daughter to stop being good at what she does because it makes the other siblings—presumably her biological children—less impressive is probably the most upsetting thing I've seen anyone in this family do so far. So I'm guessing the story is that the patriarch of the family really loved the first wife very much. He probably sees so much of her in Se-ri. I'm guessing the stepmother or second wife has been competing with a ghost all these years, and her children and their wives have been nothing but disappointments, except Se-ri, who has done nothing but succeed in spite of her family without any support from them. I think the most disturbing upsetting scene in this episode was the in-laws and the stepmother coming into her home that she built up by herself and descending like vultures to call up her life and take it for themselves having not shed any ounce of blood or sweat to build up any of that company. It is greedy. I look forward to seeing them get what's coming to them.

🤗👩‍❤️‍👨❤️this is definitely one of my FAVORITE episodes in the show. From the Switzerland reveal, confession of feelings walking Se-Ri to the border , Jeong-Hyeok not giving up on her ((she's probably never seen a love of this magnitude esp. not displayed by her family back in the SOUTH))
