I’m not understanding the Lestat feeling guilty about Claudia thing when he was ready to get rid of her with Antoinette and he didn’t even try to save her. Unless there is more we don’t know?

vein

Roshi the goat

Lamaree Jackson

Guess the subtitles needed to slow down after Ready or Not 2 lmao

Laylay

Thanks Roshi!!!

Laylay

It’s fix now I believe!!!

ShinSkarlett

There was an entire coven of vampire ready to fog their mind at a moments notice. Had Lestat use his mind gift to get Claudia banished instead of killed, he would have revealed his hands and they would have been made aware and better prepared in case he tried again with Louis. It was a one time trick and Lestat could only choose one and he chose to save Louis. As for the business with Antoinette lest you forget Claudia was there to kill him so that counts as self defense.

Sam

"Lestat lays with his mother - XOXO Gossip Girl"

cheezeblade

this fuckin show is so artsy i didnt even know it was messed up

Yessi

when you realize what “thomas pity he’s a whore” is a reference to 💀 lestat sees the patterns!

kiki

Armand got into AA to gain a mole inside the band. He was doing heavy mindfuckery on the side even before he got to killing. I only noticed on rewatch, but at the end Armand was repeating the same words as the band member in the studio, "A terrible goalie, but a total shredder with an axe. Rest." Now he also got Daniel on his side for whatever he's plotting. He's playing chess and everyone else is too busy losing their minds to notice lmao.

Nyeisha Melvina Clark

The actress playing Akasha's name is Shiela Atim, her and Sam Reid (Lestat) are theatre friends who acted in plays with each other before, she stated in an interview that she watched the show simply because he was in it but then really started to love the series. Also Sam constantly praised her performance in his interviews and he wasn't wrong because in just one scene, she gave me chills, she was phenomenal. I think her awakening was a mixture of what you guys both said, I think she was absorbing a whole bunch of information about the world all at once and she was finally asking all the questions that she has had the whole time, but she was also asking why she has to stay there and have her death prolonged, not necessarily wishing for death, but more like asking why can't she go out in the world? Lestat's song about Claudia is my favorite song so far, Sam did a fantastic job.

NumiGhost

Imagine wanting, maternal love from your mother, and the only love she constantly giving you is bedroom eyes and sultry stares which are only ever filled with lust From such a young age that’s the only type of love you know. Ewwwww

Nyeisha Melvina Clark

Lestat said last episode that Armand would go on to do more damage than the Queen ever did, so we already kind of knew Armand had some plan up his sleeve, we are just now seeing the start of it. Lestat and Armand love to antagonize each other and disrupt each other's lives, they always have, so yea killing Larry was definitely just to hurt Lestat, as well as telling Daniel about Lestat and Gabi. What's funny about their turbulent relationship though is that if Lestat were to call Armand right now and tell him he loves him, Armand would come running in a split second though, lol. The fact that he can't control Lestat or have him all to himself is a big driving force in his anger toward Lestat.

targaryan women

This show is so fucking good. Im sad we only have 2 episode left

Yessi

akasha was getting so bored of marius she told him get me the little gay boy buried in the earth immediately!

knowing the only way you can get her affection or warmth is when you can make yourself desirable for her, to sexualize yourself and use your body even when deep down you know you don’t want to .. it genuinely makes me sick

Yessi

they have an incredibly complicated relationship, somehow more complicated than lestat and armand’s relationship. he always resented and envied her because in his eyes she was competition for louis’ love, but despite that he still cared deeply about her. it’s just that his envy was always too much that it buried the love underneath it. lestat most likely knew that claudia was the main reason louis even wanted to kill him at all which is why in the moment of switching it around on louis and claudia, he wanted to get rid of her (if the retelling of that part is even true). in the books he makes it clear that he was proud of her for killing him, that she broke free of him in the same way he wanted to break free of his own father. even though they don’t say that verbatim in the show you can tell how proud lestat was of her in s2 when he’s defending her to armand at the rehearsal. or even at the trial itself when he says that he sees the best of his vampiric self in her. their dynamic and relationship is personally my favorite of the whole series.

Sam

We already knew Daniel wasn't a great person but I honestly don't know how to feel about the details about him "aggressively using" his student. Pretty sure Armand is leading him into a trap though. On Armand, he and Lestat agreed to stop making music until Gabriella/Sofia convinced him to keep going. I think it's in part his way of guilting him into stopping instead of encouraging the great conversion. On Akasha, I LOVED that scene. Sheila was amazing. And yes she was talking about herself, "And why must she be kept, and why in this place, and must her death be prolonged". She and Enkil (now just her) are known as those who must be kept for that reason. Also, pretty sure Marius is lying about what happened to Enkil. Oh and when I catch Marius bro?! This episode alone he had me fuming and he only had 5 minutes of screen time. What do you mean you give the intern a 15 minute crash course on the job you've been doing for centuries and dip but still have the nerve to get upset when he obviously messes things up. Like come on! I won't even talk about "Rotten boy" because I might pop a vein. Amazing episode all round in my opinion.

KomodoughDragon

Sheila Atim is fantastic as Akasha. What amazing acting during that monologue, you can feel her confusion and despair changing to rage and determination so clearly. I didn't think she was talking exclusively about herself, because she references other women being killed and mistreated over millennia. She talks about herself too, but I think it's blurred a bit between her and other women (who she might see as extensions of her/a collective whole). Biased for sure but it felt very feminine rage to me.

Sam

A lot of it was general but a big chunk of it was directly about her. All the Amel stuff, tongues getting cut out. Questioning why the girl must be kept.

SakuraBlossom

See so my question is how can Armand teach Daniel to walk in the sun? In the first season, he implied that his ability came from age, but if he's saying he can teach Daniel then it is a skill. A skill that he had no interest in teaching Louis or Lestat when he was in relationships with them but is willing to share with Daniel. Also, how OP is Armand if he can sunwalk but Akasha: Mother of all Vampires must be protected from the sun? Wild.

Indifferent Denji

Is lestat stupid? Did marius not tell him to not give her blood? How did he remember to do all this other fun shi in the outside world and with the music but not the one thing he told him NOT to do. I guess he sorta mentally and emotionally stunted based on how and when he was raised but damn hes lived long enough to follow directions

N

jacob also worked with her too!

Sam

Either it's a skill or it's something else all together. He clearly didn't get it from the blood because Marius also can't walk in the sun if he's not lying about burning in the moonlight. I can definitely see Armand keeping how he does it under wraps to always command the upper hand over other vampires.

N

Armand the kind, he does nothing wrong

2026-10-05 14:00 55:09 So, Roshi, if you look again at the questions Akasha is asking, it’s not about why they won’t let her die. It’s about her own existence and the existence of all women. When she asks, " And why does he tell her what God has said? And why must I sing so low? And why is she kept? What was I for? Why were men throwing stones at women? Why were women suffering? Why were women expected to always welcome men with open arms, keep their eyes lowered, and be submissive? Why the girl curled?" she eventually becomes the answer to her own questions. She sees herself in all of those women. She sees herself as the god who can give them a voice. She believes she is the answer to the suffering and subordination of women.

2026-10-05 14:00 Didn't Armand threaten to off Lestat's bandmates last episode because of how destructive his whole tour is for the human/vampire balance or something? Also yeah, now I can see why waking up the Queen brought about global catastrophes. Girl is terrifying and she wasn't even fully awake back then.

The other person elaborated enough but I just wanted to add—in the first season we see just how hard it is for Lestat to control an entire room of people, when he had the party of soldiers and Louis told him to kick them out, he mind controlled everyone which took immense strength and his ears were bleeding/he was disoriented after. Now, to the trial, if you look closely at lestat, he has bruises all over him, and he’s wobbling whenever he’s not speaking. They did something to him. He only had power to save one person, as hard as that is, but he chose Louis over Claudia. Claudia repeats in her monologues that they always chose each other, but if he had the power to, he definitely would’ve saved them both.

SakuraBlossom

That scene with Akasha was glorious. I love when they cast real theater actors in film and tv shows. They carry a gravity in their performances that is enrapturing.

Laylay

Do you remember how in the last season it was mentioned that Louis slept with at least 128 boys and then killed them afterwards?

Cydney claire

For the Armand scene—I think it’s a mix of a dig at lestat, and the overarching plot of the great conversion happening. Armand has always been the vampire to want to stick with the great laws, and he desperately wants it now more than ever because the great conversion can end with the war of vampires and humans, with many vampires being eradicated. That’s his fear that he’s been expressing to Daniel and Lestat in the shower scene over the last few episodes. Larry is a loose end, and per the law that they repeated at the lestat diss track concert, “no vampire must reveal themselves to a mortal and let them live” aka Larry. The great laws have kept vampires safe and humanity in order for centuries, which is under threat on both sides now, and Armand recognizes how bad this is. Lestat is essentially spearheading the great conversion, waking and encouraging vampires to not stay in the shadows. Armand explains the world cannot handle the exponential growth of vampires that’s currently happening, and Gabrielle is actively manipulating lestat into continuing the music because it’s egging on the great conversion, despite it putting Lestat in grave danger (we see her talk him into this last episode) she doesn’t care about lestats safety, he’s a tool for her plan right now.

Sam

Yes. That doesn't really make human Daniel's atrocities any less gag reflex inducing.

LC

Previously On: Everybody Hates Armond. His maker, his fledgling, his exes... Him being represented by the moldy bread cracked me up. He keeps catching strays at every opportunity.

Sam

Not gonna lie Lestat blaming Armand for everything that went wrong in the crypt sas very fun. Oh, Marius hasn't returned in 10 years, Armand's fault. The music stopped, Armand's fault. Very reminiscent of this here fandom we live in.

LaTesha

Its so sad. Claudia burned twice once when she met them and again when she left them in death. Their relationship was so mixed up, messy, abusive and painful and just ended sad 😔

mars

apology tour over LMAO

Gabbi R

I AM THE ANSWER !!!

LJ

So Enkil and Akasha are the Adam and Eve of vampires? There was also a 3rd name, Amel. "In the old ways and in the old laws, this was arranged. And who arranged it? Did Amel?" "It is Amel. It is always Amel." "And why does he tell her what God has said? And why Amel in their mouths?" My money is on Amel being the Abel of this story, their child. That or its just their name for God, sorta like Alaha.

King97

So was that Akasha scene all her memories flooding back to her? Or was that her taking in information from the current world? Or both?

Becca

Chessmaster Armand. Lol Lestat knew seeing him was an omen of fuckery on the horizon, and look at that, he was right, all hail him.

Berts Tv

yeah they should of had different actress for akasha she is chud

Becca

There's more you don't know. There's a reason Lestat feels so utterly betrayed about the book: it's very off regarding how events in NOLA went down. This episode reveals one major thing Louis got wrong in his story: Lestat did, indeed, love Claudia like a daughter. This is hinted at during the trial ("Claudia was an unforeseen joy", Louis flashing back to events and remembering Lestat kinder and more self-conscious than he'd portrayed him). In Season 1, they gave a few clues about NOLA's events: 1. Claudia's diary pages detailing Lestat's murder were cut out of her diary. (We find out in the beginning of Season 2 that Armand cut them out.) She says Lestat's last words were "put me in my coffin, Louis, Louis" but those are not the last words we hear from Lestat in Louis' telling. 2. When Lestat starts ranting at the chess board after Claudia leaves, he's blaming Louis for spoiling Claudia and letting her walk all over him (him being Louis); Louis turns up the radio to drown out the monologue, but you can still hear it. Crucially, the radio in that scene is playing the EXACT same radio broadcast saying WW2 has begun as the scene where Louis comes home to find Lestat has prevented Claudia from leaving by train. That scene, according to Louis, is what justifies Lestat's murder being "inevitable." 3. When Louis tells Daniel about the train scene, Claudia's diary is nowhere in the room, and Daniel is heavily drugged and falling asleep -- too drugged to catch inconsistencies or ask any questions. The show has already told us the train scene, and the aftermath leading up to murder night, is wrong. There are similar clues implying the trial isn't as it was presented to us, either. It just hasn't told us yet what actually happened in any of those events.

Q So Raww

me and wifey had tears in our eyes during lestas song for claudia

itshawkguy

Roshi's right (except about the part of her wanting to die). Akasha is remembering her own life in the form of asking a bunch of questions (there's a bunch of book lore and hints in them). Then she answers her own questions: "I am the girl. I am the god. I am the voice. I am the song. I am the night. And I can answer. I can arrange it. I can say rise. And I can say speak. And I am her. And I am she. And I, I, I, I am the answer." Which is honestly terrifying and she's kind of not wrong? She IS essentially the vampire god. What she says goes and there's nothing any of them can do about it.

sol jam

Man I can't wait to see more of Akasha I can tell it's going to be iconic performance it already is!

Shiki Granbell

Sheera was right about the blood thing with Akasha and Lestat

Yessi

loud incorrect buzzer

Yessi

forgive him he was going a little insane 😭

Yessi

i mean we’ve established daniel is a shit person when armand went into his memories and mentioned him making a girl wear a bag over her head and still having sex with her even when she cried 🫩 there’s many reasons i don’t like daniel and yea him being kind of sexually abusive (if that’s the correct term) is one of those reasons

Carlos

The shit with Louis and Regina made me ill. Get help sir! Also, fuck Armand...as always.

Becca

"Look deep into his uwu Japanime eyes as he mind-cocks you off a cliff." I can't believe that was foreshadowing. I don't trust a word that comes out of Armand's mouth -- no way he's actually on an apology tour. He showed up at an AA meeting and brainwashed Alex, got Alex to start drinking again so Larry would start drinking, and now has Larry commit suicide. This man is some five-steps-ahead mastermind. Louis broke my heart this episode. Lestat was Claudia's maker: he not only saw her die, he felt her die. (Anyone else think he was trying to get that high note outside to feel like Claudia as she burned?) But Louis didn't get to see it, so I understand it not feeling fully real sometimes to him. Re: that Akasha and Lestat scene -- Lestat was wiping Akasha with ash to "keep her thriving." That's how she's able to stay alive. Lestat's hand paused between her shoulder blades as he was talking to Enkil, and I think Akasha was trying to rise. It's implied Akasha drives her Keepers a little nuts. Marius was, when we met him, and we see Lestat getting more manic as time passes with her. Akasha asked for him specifically, and wanted Marius to kill Lestat's mother; she's connected to every vamp, so she likely can see through other vamp's eyes. I think she picked Lestat with the intent of getting him to give her blood and getting him to drink hers. Lestat was buried underground for 80 years (around 1803), then stayed with Akasha until 1900. It looks like he spent around 20 years with Akasha before giving her blood. Then he went from her to NOLA. Lol I'm picturing Lestat hasn't-talked-to-anyone-but-a-stone-lady in-20-years de Lioncourt meeting Louis de Pointe du Lac and Louis being like, "This man was so smooth and charismatic, he was so alluring, you've never met a man who had it so together." Their relationship is hilarious.

So Tired

No problem 👍

Fred

Ngl this show does a good job of doing what the writers intend I felt so uncomfortable during certain scenes I almost turned this off than I realized that’s the emotion they are trying to convey and get us to feel

Becca

yeah dude was talking to a table. He was not all there.

Becca

I died at the literary pun.

Delinda Arts

Lestat sipped Akasha's blood and started tweaking in the air lmao

Becca

Lestat says "I, Amel, digress" in his narration this episode...

Fred

Being the keeper for the queen definitely destroyed lestats mind faster than it would have just living a vampire life above smh you can really see how he becomes more unhinged like current Lestat the more time he spent taking care of her

RYC

Armand did that bc hes against the 'great conversion' timing that Lestats is on. He would rarher kill his bandmate than have him turned into a vamp like its implied w/ lestats other bandmates, in that scene where they cut themselves.

Krohv

Yoko Mirrian 🤣

Tae

Daniel’s always been an ahole.

dunk

I just realized dude in the band is drinking again and then tells Larry to "rest" after meeting armand....so Armand had that planned the whole time. Im so mad I loved Larry and I love Noah is wanted more of him :( screw Armand for that and for looking like a model while doing it :(((((

Jimmy

I'm not sure if the show is following the books but Akasha didn't want to sleep because she wanted to die.

Oni Legend

I think the reason Armand went out of his way to kill Sam as kind of like a “you forced my hand” warning to Lestat and Gabriella. We’ve known since last season that the vampire populace already was real angry about the book coming out and now following up on that is a vampire just traveling around the country dishing out vampire secrets to mortals through music and social media and its causing a lot of trouble I think Armand is trying to maintain the status quo(and spite Lestat obviously) and he decided that the only way to get the point across is to bring an innocent bystander into it as a show of “look this is what you’re doing with all this. Stop it”

Yessi

both i believe

ViralCorgi

Lestat/Gabriella, Louis/Fake-Claudia, Armand/Danny. Crazy how this season is so batsh*t that now Louis and Lestat somehow have the LEAST toxic connection 💀💀😭😂😂😂

ViralCorgi

Like I said, Armand is out here playing 4D chess. Did y'all forget how the other band member called him a god? He was already in his head, and likely used him to have eyes and ears directly on Lestat. Dude has been plotting since the beginning. Y'all need to stop letting his soft Twink features fool you 😆

Sam

Guys, yes. I said that in the first part of the comment. A teenage ahole sucks and it was already bad, but a 40 or 50 year old Daniel abusing one of his students so badly they need help getting home, Armand mind wiping aside, is completely different. Many an ahole in this world but even they have lines. I think all of it, being a general ahole, a ducky husband is very different from being a rapist.

targaryan women

armand apology tour haven't even come to louis yet but he's already doing evil shit again lol making alex relapse and larry khs 😭

targaryan women

lestat didn't know he's about to date the mosf depressed man in america 😭

targaryan women

i burst into tears when hallucination claudia joined lestat playing the piano 😭

Sam

and lestat did something to larry's brother too, with his memories, maybe a trap or something.

Becca

hahaha he was blinded by Louis' beauty. Which, honestly, same, girl.

ultraviolet

(talking about the post watch discussion) YES ROSHI FINALLY!!! get into you theories with some of the poetic lines. there’s so much gold in this script it’s INSANE. i’ve been dying to hear some of y’all think when you hear certain lines and dialogue. the script is just as worth paying attention to as what u see on screen. KEEP IT GOING PLZ

Sare

Jokes aside, I think she did sense his yearning for a mother figure.

Narutofreak94

I will not stop gushing over how tragically beautiful this series is. This episode personified grief so well. I cried again during that beautiful song for Claudia. Oh my gosh then Akasha. Y'all the chills.

Johnquez

Questions for Book Readers , one does Akasha's blood give Lestat a closer connection to A? And does the blood make him more violent and angry, cause that what it seems like the show is alluding to with that scene of Lestat and Louie's fight. Maybe that "I'm trying to restrain myself" from Lestat had a deeper meaning.

Kiran

No one n re up hoor 1:1 yay

Fun Don't Stop

The part with the song was so beautiful. Sam who was apart of claudia's death is actually one of the only people in the room that understands where this song comes from. He is party to of the most devestating moments in Lestat's vampriric life, and is witness to the expression of pain, and is also one of the people who gets a hand in how that pain is expressed to others via the song. The emotion captured in the way he stares at the end of the song shows how he also hadn't thought about what he had done for a long time until hearing that song from Lestat.

Tito

For those who don’t know during Akasha’s monologue amongst the questions she asks there’s foreshadowing about other characters from the books (like the twins) “why is her tongue cut out”, “why is her death prolonged”. Also it seems the questions being asked aren’t all Akasha’s and is actually Amel as well as questions

Jamaal Ellison

Yoko Mirren is killing me because Gabriela really does look like Helen Mirren.😂

ChildofthePast

I just realized Alex is gonna be going through a very similar experience as Louis. He is about to be turned by Lestat and his brother just "committed suicide"..... its a very odd coincidence.

Yessi

you mean armand?

Saphthings

Why the heck are you going into spoilers... don't mention _ANYTHING_ that has not been shown in the show........ .....

Saphthings

*** SPOILERS*** To be honest no one can answer you. Movie lore and book lore is VERY different right now and we're all in pretty much unknown territory. Like I'll make it very clear to you how different. Book vampires can't have sex. They have no lust. They're stuck the way they were at turning, they can't get it up. Vampires pretty much lose all sense of even gender and and blood drinking IS their sex. Want more different? Book Lestat is like Louis lol, he doesn't like killing good people. He tries to be a pacifist... Yeah. Closer connection in the books? Yes, in a way. But there it's not about that. In the books the longer a vampire goes without turning, the more power he concentrates so his fledgling is stronger. Lestat got more power because Magnus hadn't for so long. And in feeding from her, who hadn't turned in soooo long... He got big time power connection to A.

Saphthings

Can't wait for y'all to find out more of the lore! Won't spoil anything and let you wonder! And in a way yeah, they'll go more into it but yes their progenitors.

Saphthings

You know I was so upset about Larry dying and thinking Armand was trying to teach Lestat a lesson but on a rewatch I noticed Lestat was basically already going to cut all of Larry's parts on all music and didn't care for him at all lol... I wonder if in a way Armand was watching through Alex and he's like "eh, he doesn't care anyways" lol

Zacost

He got that doctor who ref

Saphthings

And no, Sheera was right. A vampire drains almost all of the blood from the humans, then inside the vampire it turns into vampire blood, then the blood is put back into the human, so all of his own blood mixed with the vampires, now all vampire blood, is in the human (who is now a vampire). Akasha did the same thing to Lestat, drained almost all his blood, then fed him hers. So he now has a mix of his and her blood. In a weird sort of way he is almost her fledgling.

Saphthings

Wow I know Armand was probably controlling Alex during that scene where he talks to his brother. He uses the same words. But he's also making Alex drink, probably to make it easier... and they met in AA... what an asshole lol...

A. P.

Queen of the Damned was a tad bit of a dumpster fire, but in my mind — for all these years, ― when I think Akasha, I think Aaliyah. Regardless of acting prowess or lack thereof, those are huge shoes to fill. I feel like it makes Sheila Atim's portrayal and that chilling scene even more impressive.

rickie woodson

wow. incredible performance from the actress playing Akasha. giving me shakesperean trained. this series has great casting

rickie woodson

my take: armand is not sincere about his change and making amends; he made it clear he wants lestat to stop making music, what better way then killing all of his band mates.......

Just Gene

Damn. I was trying to think about what the rhetoric was, but this is powerful. Thanks dude.

Nova

Aaliyah was iconic as Akasha in an aesthetic sense and was powerful for what she brought to the culture, but that portrayal of Akasha lacked motivation in the character writing (as did every character, they had no real interests in a way that wasn't surface level). This Akasha is PURE motivation - three days of questioning the world relentlessly before deciding SHE is the answer. I'm blown away, because Akasha's lack of motivation in the film always really irritated me, and I knew this show would do better but not so intensely from the get-go. Like why are you doing this, Aaliyakasha? Just cuz? Just feel like it? Alright, girly, you look good at least!

A. P.

Lol exactly 💯

Slime SLAT

Armand is back on demon time lmao I love it.

Slime SLAT

Wait he went straight from Akasha to Louis? Is she still alive?

Becca

Marius is certainly still trying to get her to stay down on that slab, yeah! He leaves the Queen in 1900 and meets Louis in 1910, so technically there are ten years in between. No idea what he does in those ten years. In the book, he learns his family was slaughtered by the French Revolution and brings his surviving father to NOLA (the book is still set in like 1790s). But to hear the showrunner tell it, in the show, he leaves Akasha and immediately meets Louis. XD
