Not gonna lie... Even as a major comic book reader this was the first time I realized (after I looked it up) that in most canon Professor X doesn't have telekinesis, at best just low level telekinesis.... just telepathy. Cuz I spent half the episode wondering why he wasn't moving things with his mind at least xD How did I never notice this???

cause whatever you are reading isnt x-men.......they didnt openly have him use telekinesis on a big skill til krakoa aka "everyone was ressurrected at their peak form and they come back more powerful then before". great way to make people omega or just advanced without all the training. sync went from needing you to be in his eye sight to mimic your power, to you just being NEAR earth (he copied jean's telekinesis when she was in orbit and he was in new york) ah, hickman. the xmen need him back asap

love the show, really but MAJOR forced contrived weakness just so they can get Nur to become apocalypse (kurt can teleport at the blink of an eye and further then 2 paces. teleport of the room/temple and then back inside. professor did NOTHING. magneto did NOTHING); this flaw is shown again once he becomes apocalypse and NOW two of the most powerful beings, both omegas, finally fight back and can do damage they couldnt when he WASNT in his ultimate form? makes no sense; the professor of it all. didnt hold back on magnus last season, giving him a mega psionic blast for like ten minutes, but when fighting APOCALYPSE, he does a gentle psi pulse for five seconds? BRAIN FRY HIM! attack HARDER and LONGER or at least more than ONCE. this is whack. where is emma and psylocke when we need them? they wouldnt hold back...except for the writers wanting them to just so mags could die and charles could cry. gambit's death was noble and worked to not look like there was any other option. not here

with kang saying "only something x-ternal can stop him" means they will bring in the x-ternals in the 90s to take out apocalypse, or is it just something he knows that can stop him but the show wont let that be a thing. if they take him out, he's not there in the future for cable to deal with so.....i hope they bring them in and not just with candra being a two line speaking hand maiden. i need selene, candra, gideon, absalom and cruel to show up and do their thing! my queendom for a selene led storyarc/episode with her going full mutant witch on a bish!

I pretty much own every single X-Men comic book, original or reprint lol. And no I'm not exaggerating lol. I just never really noticed.. I've always seen him as a sort of Jean mirror although he's more mature and powerful she has more potential. It never really clicked that he never moves major stuff with his mind because he does some times move a few things here and there. Small things. But here I was like, "omg Charles move a pen, something, like... help Magneto please!!" until it irked me so much and I went to search for "why is professor x not using telekinesis in xmen 97" and went down the rabbit hole. There ARE many times, during the golden age era, in the very beginning, where he DID randomly move big items, or do big things, but those are during the times where like.. lots of weird comic stuff happened lol... Silver age he moved just a few small items and I never really noticed it's because he couldn't... I just thought it's because here's an intellectual man who doesn't get physical... And he's randomly do weird things like fly a plane, or deflect a beam, that FEEL like telekinesis... So I just never noticed the golden age/silver age nerf x_X Even when they said his power was telepathy I was like "yeah mind stuff". So when Krakoa hit and he had it and no one really said "he has it now!" just that now mutants have more power I just thought he went from having crappy telekinesis to good, not zero to some. Surprised myself how this is news to me... O_O

I believe we're going by the same logic as the movie, Nightcrawler can only teleport to places he 100% knows where he's going, or else he might teleport into a wall or rock chopping his body in half. If I remember correctly, they made it a big moment in the movie when he had to take a leap of faith (complete with praying to the Lord) and teleport people further.

For story purposes Im sure, Bishop's time band doesn't allow him to travel to any time he wants whenever he wants. It real meticulous about where and when you can travel so it makes sense he was so adamant about leaving ASAP
