I'm currently watching this reaction on a Bell laptop.

RedSunCrusher!!!

Wow I can't believe sheera was right about the puppet thing for once lolol

lazyboi

Cool to see Roshi wear a shirt of Giorno who shares a voice actor with Yuru

ImperialVX

Yuru's crashout was done so well. I definitely felt his anger through the VA, but it's not too surprising since Kensho Ono is voicing him.

Kreed

And let's not forget the fact that "Granny" was hiring fake "bandits" that were actually mercenaries to go and try to kill him each time he went hunting in the mountains. Poor kid's at his limit

Devin B

In the span of a week or so he found that his sister was a body double for the last couple of years, there's an advanced civilization outside of his village, his actual sister is working with people that attacked the people of his village, said village people are probably part of a conspiracy to get his and his sister's power, and now his best friend was a Daemon tasked to watch over him. Tbh he's acting calmer than I thought he would given his situation because it would be hard to trust what anyone says at this point.

Certifiedan3

Lupa with the biggest throwback in that Heathcliff comment

Victor

Right? I even saw people criticizing Yuru for being too harsh to his friend. We viewers can see that this friend of his and that lady might have good intention to look out for him, but it was a fact that they were in cahoot to deceive him for years, and from Yuru's pov, all villagers = people who try to kill him to activate Seal, so his crashout is totally valid here.

Coatl45

The most likely in world explanation for the new daemons is that the ancient Japanese saw aliens, and even heard how they addressed themselves, thought they were gods, and carved their likeness into stone totems. Which, through worship, eventually became a daemon pair that shared the name of what inspired them.

Coatl45

Punching Danji would’ve definitely been warranted. The guy probably expected it.

Devin B

It's the fact that he knew that Danji didn't have ill intent is why Denji didn't just punch him, that's why he wanted to be by himself since the only person he can really trust is himself

Teejay

Honestly even good intentions can be negative if done insensitively, yuru just taking the brunt of who do I even trust.

Shelly P

Bruh this shows gonna have me looking at every new character to see if they have a shadow or not from now on lmao🤦🏾‍♂️

Stephen D

One of the most justified crash outs in anime. His whole life is essentially a lie with enemies on all sides. Most of which he knew for most of his life. How many villagers do you think were pissed off each time he came back unscathed from a "Bandit" attack?

Peds

But wasn't also the "mother" who helped Yuru's parent escape the village? I don't think this is pure black and white as her being the mastermind (in a bad way) behind these things

Stephen D

No that was Dera's dad. From what I understand that is partially why he cut ties with village and went into hiding.

2026-10-05 14:00 I'd like to point out that even before the shadow realization reveal, Danji mentioned the assassin having 2 swords when in the last episode it was literally mentioned by the assassin himself that none of the human adults in the village would be able to see what he was wielding. This is of course mainly a hint to viewers that Danji's a daemon (or at the very least spiritually aware like that cashier lady from a eps ago) since Yuru wasn't there to know of this fact.

You are right, I was confused on that one, cheers

Tyler

Watching this back I can look for all the times they never drew shadows on daemons and I just never noticed. I kinda want to go back and rewatch earlier episodes and see if they were doing that from the beginning. Rally cool.

J

so glad this anime wasn't just a 12 episode air.. really enjoying it so far

Delinda Arts

this series is sort of like ethical Pokemon. These monsters not enslaved and forced to do battle. these mfs just caught in a 360 8-album contract lmao

Koji

Ion know about yall but Yuru is a scary mf when he is pissed 😭 Him sounding like on the verge of tears from anger and also him just being a stone cold hunter with high intelligence is chilling. I deadass thought he was gonna put an arrow through the friends head 💀

Coatl45

All the adults except for three. The kids had no idea what was going on, and Kyouko and Zashiki-Warashi were the only people that knew and truly cared for Yuru after his parents and Asa escaped. Everyone else only saw him as a tool to “take over the world”.

Coatl45

Yes, it was Dera’s old man that helped the Kinjos (I’m using Nagisa’s family name because Mine doesn’t have a family name) escape. But they trusted Kyouko enough to give her the instructions to get out of the barrier. Probably so she could help Yuru escape eventually. That’s probably why Danji was constantly trying to convince Yuru to take him with him, so he could explain everything and help Yuru escape.

Coatl45

You’re not wrong. He had to grow up hard, living on a knife’s edge. I always made jokes that rangers and rogues are the worst classes to make mortal enemies of, as they’re antisocial enough to consider outright murdering traitors instead of turning them into the authorities, and independent enough to go dark indefinitely and survive without much help. And Yuru is basically a Shadowstalker Ranger, so he’s technically both. So he’s the last person I’d want to piss off.

FUZZY

so that's why last episode when danji was on the horse nobody reacted because nobody was able to see him nor the horse or the daemon lady

Crogadile

get on crunchyroll then and off patreon ya goof ball. You're here for watch along reactions, if you want silence & focus go watch solo.

General Grevious

That shadow plot twist was done really well😂
