This is a better episode than the first one. Because at least with this amnesia stuff, they've explained that memories can be coaxed out of you when you see or interact with objects that trigger it. Juliette isn't completely useless since she's breaking free of this drugging. Ok, let's see where this chemicals in the water stuff goes.

tip for getting past the framerate issue with the vid: I simply made my brain think slower and the framerate appears sped up back to normal in comparison. hope this helps

I don't normally like amnesia arcs either but I think what makes this one fine is that Juliette is a smart character but is also very curious and questions a lot so it makes it passable because she's retained those character traits.

As someone with ptsd who would love to forget my traumas, I agree with the journalist. You don't get to fuck with people's brains without consent. And making prisoners forget *why* they were prisoners is kinda fucked up...like so my abuser gets to forget they abused me, but I have to keep the trauma? Fuck that. It's mostly a TV thing. When a main character suddenly disappears from the story in the books, writers doing an adaption usually create story beats to keep them in because they're afraid the audience will lose interest.
