Rhaenyra sent Mysaria away bc she knew she couldn’t trust her completely and she has been doing what Mysaria has said to do and it hasn’t worked. Shes now listening to daemon and taking his way and if she kept Mysaria she knew she wouldn’t have been able to do it and Mysaria would continue pouring “honey in her ear” the way she sent her off wasn’t smart though now Mysarias scheming ass is in kings landing with the small folk and is probably going to turn everybody against Rhaenyra. Can’t wait to see Mysaria die. I hate her character.

A couple of things: First off, I love you, Lupa. As a combat veteran, I had been going through some really tough mental health issues, and while I love y'all, it was Lupa who kept me smiling on nights when feeling happy was hard. I truly hope that the people closest to you bring you similar feelings of joy in this trying time. So my thoughts as a show watcher only are that, while going about it wrong, the Queen is reminded by Baela that 1. The Queen was not listened to by her council and by her son; as a result, it cost her Jace. Baela did not take up for the Queen, and as a woman, she went along with her man's plan even against her own queen's wishes. An act that would have meant a death sentence for literally anyone else on grounds of treason. Sheera is right on that 100%. In that moment, the Queen had just left Daemon's quarters, and these are his children. "Insolence runs in your blood" was a nod to how much Daemon himself fought her, even recently. The fact that the oath Ormund gave Darreon was being broken as he said it and knighted his nephew is sick. "Protecting the weak and innocent". Then proceeds to use children as meat shields. Helena is being escorted back to her chambers, and before the white worm tells her about Aegon, she sees the cart she saw in her own dreams. In that dream, the cart is followed by two doors opening with golden light that likely represented "freedom". In that moment, she realizes the freedom in the dream was not actually hers but the white worm's. A moment later, the white worm tells her that Aegon is alive, his dragon as well, and that her child, still unborn, is a political hostage before it has taken a breath. During the queen's speech at the church, the last line she said was "I am the prince who was promised," but she said it in High Valyrian, which those common people DO NOT speak. So no one there likely understood this grand proclamation. Something special about the beginning of this episode is the opening credits. The tapestry that Helena had been working on is actually the tapestry that we see in the opening. In this episode, that tapestry is set on fire, and portions of it are dipped in blood. "Fire and Blood".

Yall they don’t want to burn tumbleton down. That’s the whole reason ormund seized it bc he knew Rhaenyra wouldn’t burn down a town sworn to her. She told daemon to go door to door to not make a monster of her. Daemon obliged her and was trying his best to not kill innocent people. They weren’t going to use their dragons to burn the town that was the dilemma the entire season and why they were waiting for the army to arrive at tumbleton.

Ulf was the only one that used his dragon and burned everything. This would have been a battle on the ground completely if he wasn't around. Even if he stayed on rhaenyra side he would have just been made to burn anyone that left the city or do nothing at all. I didn't see tessarion at the end but that was caraxes sending fire at silverwing as vermithor followed. It technically should be GGs for daeron but they've changed some things so who knows

Aegon said they were going to find vhagar and then go to tumbleton to get Daeron and ormund in line, he wasn’t going to kill them. Then they were going to kings landing with the Hightower army and aegon Aemond and daerons dragons. I have to disagree the middle episodes were still great. The dialogue and political stuff is really good. I enjoyed pretty much every episode. And Aemond being at harrenhal was completely different. Daemon at harrenhal was annoying and dragged out. Daemon there, made sense he had no where else to go. He couldn’t stay at kings landing. And the book readers say there is too much story left to tell and not enough time to tell it all in only 8 more episodes

Funny enough cole actually did make a difference in stalling rhaenyra army cause they tell us this episode they would have been there 2 weeks ago if it wasnt for him. ulf wouldnt have turned at that point and Ormund wouldn't have had time to prepare his full plan. Him being petty to the end actually led to both sides getting cooked

Please understand there is a reason we decided to continue. If we did not, we would be locked into these same seasonal shows probably into December since we would be so far behind. That would create an extremely stress inducing backlog for the three of us that we could not commit to tackling aggressively and Sheera and I’s plates are running over with responsibilities from this, the youtube channel,the gaming channel and managing the festival. Its best to finish out this season and jump into fresh seasonals on his return. We put a pause on shows that really had no bearing on our weekly schedule. I promise this is the best way to handle things for the next few weeks.

My one issue with Rhaenyra's writing is that her frustration about not being a respected ruler is kinda invalid, solely due to her not exhausting her "evil" side. being called a weak women who isn't gonna utilize her dragons and burn everything, then she get's frustrated because she's losing her grip and alliances, her best bet would be to rule with an iron fist like every king has before and force people to abide. Had they included aspect of her being "mad queen" and she lost followers THEN I would understand her feeling like everything she does turns sour. That is why the writing is so boring and repetitive when it comes to women not being a good ruler, it's not even a fault in their character, it just boils down to them being women... Also doing a monolouge about why you deserve the throne to your subjects during wartime is just... pathetic.. I need carrots, flours, egg and oatmeal! I don't care about your inauguration.

Daeron fled Caraxes tried to burn SW but Ulf fled and then Vermithor was the last one. Rhaenyra still doesn’t want dragon warfare that’s why she said to daemon to go house to house with men and the northmen are the winter wolves they literally joined this war to die that’s why they don’t care about catapults, arrows or dragons they need to die because back home has few resources so the old need to die instead of wasting them. Also killing the pope of Westeros is not a light thing only 1 king did that prior and he was nicknamed the cruel and the next king had to be a religious eccentric that starved himself to death to appease them to breach the bond between the common people and the royals.

Baela might have been right about Rhaenyra's terrible rule, but all her reasonings are terrible. Corlys was angry at Rhaenyra so he went out to vent his anger then he got caught; some Hand of the Queen he was. @Panda that's a fair point because at the end of the day we don't know exactly how long Lupa will be out for so while some, like myself, personally prefer to have these three come together for reactions, it's for the best to try and not put unnecessary stress on anyone whether intentional or unintentional.

Aegon didn’t bring all 7 together. Dorne, at this point in the timeline, isn’t a part of the current 6 kingdoms. I’m annoyed at the writers constantly fucking up the script and saying 7 kingdoms so often when it should be only 6. Hell they even mention this fact in the same damn season when Daemon spoke about trying to conquer Dorne again, AND when Ormund was teaching Daeron. Small oversights like this annoy me 😭

There are parts in the book that are up to interpretation, and there are parts that are just straight up facts. The show has changed stuff that was canon. Cut characters out completely. Changed characters into completely different people that has no relation to their book counterparts (ALICENT). The point of GRRM’s blog post was that, while he understands that adaptations need to make changes when necessary, the showrunners have been making many changes that aren’t necessary, and in fact will completely change the entire point of the story. Not to mention George handpicked Ryan Condal to adapt the book and then Condal backstabs George and ghosts him after the first season. TBF, only book-readers will understand how badly adapted this series is.

However because in the book she has been from the start a way more angrier and ruthless person, Rhaenyra "the Cruel" did not come out of nowhere, and the show now wants to give us Rhaenyra the Cruel as well after two seasons propping her up as a pacifist who wants to take after Viserys, so the framing of it by other characters seems much more sudden and out of nowhere. GRRM never did anything like this with Daenerys tho, her descent into madness was an invention by the Game of Thrones writers only and does not happen at all in the books. Also surprisingly enough there's a fuck ton left to cover in the hotd story so their pacing choices (especially last season) are even crazier because they don't even got the time for all that!!😭😭 Only eight episodes left now to cover a shitload of story

Joffrey is Rhaenyra's 3rd kid with ser Harwin Strong (the other 2 Jace and Luke), although on record the kid's father was her then-husband Laenor Velaryon. We saw Rhaenyra give birth to Joffrey in season 1 episode 6, so before Laenor faked his death and Rhaenyra got re-married to Daemon. In the span of years following that, she and Daemon did have a few white-haired kids together, but since Joffrey is now her eldest living kid, he's the heir. Joffrey (and the other young kids) was sent away to safety in season 2 with Rhaena looking after him, but since Rhaena ran away from her duties to get Sheepstealer, Joffrey was then also sent back to Rhaenyra early this season (I believe episode 3).
