To answer your question about the pregnant trafficking lady. It's likely she's a "madame" who goes out and does recruiting. It's not uncommon for women themselves to be traffickers because the assumption is usually that men are in charge but this is a misconception. Are there men involved? Absolutely. But women are often the ones who bring in trafficked victims because they are assumed to be more trustworthy. The 18 year old woman they were treating likely had a rough home life situation that involved her being kicked out or she ran away and was approached and promised work and it revealed itself to be sex work. If those victims aren't careful, the only way they "leave" their situation is being executed when they aren't useful anymore or a risk to their entire operation.

It it really frustrating wanting to support and help someone but they are afraid of wanting help or they don't know how to ask. Or worse they asked for help and didn't get it. I’m not talking about her making mistakes, I’m referring to the times Langdon made Santos feel incompetent when she wasn’t: like when she couldn’t open the manipulated vial (Langdon’s doing) or when she noticed Louie’s pills had been halved (also Langdon’s doing). he made her feel small for being observant because he knew he was doing something wrong, which only furthered his frustrations against her (which are definitely kind of valid, but you’d be disingenuous if you ignored the obvious bias he has against her)

Honestly they both share blame for this situation. This should not have escalated to where it is now. Santos was getting ahead of herself too much for her first day of training. This is the time to make mistakes in training, but not at the expense of someone's life and trying to prove that you know everything on day 1 while also being rude to the other trainees or other staff members. It was expected for you to rub ppl the wrong way by starting off like that, but most ppl either rolled with it, ignored her or told her to cut it out. Plus you are training you are supposed to get the person above you like robby stated, because if things go wrong they are going to look at them first even if she was the one to make the mistake. Langdon on the other hand should have taken a stepped back (i do believe that there are other things going on with him but this is seperate from whats going on with Santos.) It was stressful day and he already knew that she was someone that would always rub him the wrong way with how she came in at the beginning. All that yelling was unnecessary, I get you have a breaking point but it was too much. They need to do some restorative practice between those two because it will never get better otherwise. Unfortunately Kiara may have to be the person to lead that with Robby. She needs a vacation, they all do😭 I really think they bump heads so much because they are more alike than they think but will never admit to that.

Tbh it only bothered them early on cause they didnt know the characters relationships with each other but Roshi early on after they got used to the characters said how the banter is funny when out in the main area but said it's kinda cooked saying stuff over an aware and frightened patient which I agree. Especially being a person where that happened once as an intern and a patient freaked out over the doctors, I was shadowing, since they were bantering as someone had literal burns on their arm and hands.

honestly glad that dude didnt go in for psychiatric help cause if he assaulted the nurse then the cops wouldnt do much about it. a patient at my job assaulted our director of nursing, was sent to the hospital and then assaulted the staff over there and the cops did nothing. very unfortunate that healthcare workers have to deal with this very often

Also, they kind of addressed what bothered me after last episode about taking bad experiences with you (writers had no answers but bottling up was suggested I guess lol) Edit: Knew something was going to happen to the charge nurse. She had like 35% more screen time than her average.

The pregnant woman with the younger woman could be trafficked as well. Sometimes they will have other women (some more willing if they are treated better perhaps) to deal with issues like that seen in the show. Not joking, had a group of women in my neighborhood like 10 years ago go door to door asking for water and directions, turns out they were looking for other women/younger girls to take. It seems innocent enough and it can work. Course this is rare so no need to freak out about that kinda thing but still, the show did well to maybe imply something similar going on in terms of making it seem like somethings off but also maybe not what you think.
