So new theory: The Fear diamond isn't actually trying to attack things, it's trying to find the Avatar specifically but everything else gets overwhelmed by the energy it lets out? So far it's been going around zapping people then it moves on to the next one and it only stops for good when it zaps the Avatars who then absorb it. That generator in the basement looked way too conveniently similar to the Anomaly so maybe these manifestations are because something is lashing out and trying to get help? Maybe the Havens are siphoning energy off of something without realizing, or maybe some people know and are hiding it? Probably attached to whatever caused the Cataclysm initially. Maybe humans starting getting a bit too discovery crazy after seeing what Spirit-Vines could do and they found a new energy source to tap into and before they could understand what was really happening the world got thrown into chaos?

The Seven Havens represent the Seven Chakras, Ellora is the Root Chakra which represents Survival and blocked by Fear. Remember the Guru Pathik episode.

There's theories that the issue is that the world's chakras are out of balance or something. Like when Guru Pathik taught Aang how to use the avatar state. The earth/root chakra is about survival, and is blocked by fear. Book 1: Survival.

New theory whatever that is causing the visions makes them see the avatar as terrifying what if that happened during the cataclysm, and Korra died getting rid of it but the only thing the people who were taken over by it could remember was what they were seeing when corrupted and afraid and that's what spread that's the story that kept being told over and over that the avatar was responsible, they are leaving good clues foreshadowing that Korra is more than likely innocent but I would love if they did all of this and pulled a kiyoshi Korra takes over and says yeah I did it, not going to happen they don't have dog in them like when they were writing the original ATLA but it would be kool if they did

Im giving it the same room as atla. So s1 can be more childlike and simple. Playing it safe. But my hope is each season picks up as it did in that show too. Im still really enjoying this but yeah fingers crossed

Yeah the Anomaly isn’t a spirit but pure energy. An example of Korra energybending was when she was able to restore people’s lost bending in S1.

Energy bending is how sang took Ozzie’s bending and Korda with the spirit vine energy. It’s their most broken ability and it’s exclusive to them.

Okay so I know this is a stretch but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that when Pavi and Nisha were interacting with the Anomaly, they had that symbol show up on their foreheads. Specifically, the center of the forehead which is where the Light (or Third Eye) Chakra is located. Per Guru Pathik from ATLA, the Light Chakra deals with insight and is blocked by illusion. After some online digging it is also said the Light Chakra is responsible for ‘gut feelings’, truths that aren’t obvious and how you know something without knowing *how* you know it. Perhaps the symbols we saw on the girls’ foreheads was a visual tell of them unintentionally tapping in to their Light Chakras which could explain how they were able to energybend and also the memory flashes.

There’s a theory going around that Pavi has ravva and the other one has vatu and that’s why there two avatars seems unlikely but with pavi playing with the korra statue and then nisha focused on the old avatar relics (maybe vatuu took the past lives and they weren’t destroyed) pretty far fetched but interesting

My guess is: to prevent an even greater catastrophe, Korra merged with whatever she was fighting and that caused the cataclysm. The red spirit thing is part of Korra which is why Pavi and Nisha see their memories when they touch it. Ellora is the root chakra and is blocked by fear. I wouldn't be surprised if we get other variants of the red energy for the things that block the other 6 chakras: guilt, shame, grief, lies, illusion, earthly attachment. Perhaps, in merging with her enemy, Korra blocked all her chakra points and the spirit thing came from that blockage

Im sorry but the animation is sooo stiff so verry little frame the original avatar the last air bender have more frame than this, I don't have problem with the style just too little frame make it annoying to watch
