SBR/Bleach Calaminator

Arigato Kubo Sensei & Pierrot Films Ladies & Gentlemen, after nearly 15 years, we gather here today on the grand anime finale of the final main story arc of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War. Anime of the Year without question I have been with this series as my comfort show for 20 years since it first premiered on [adult swim] in September 2006 and this has been not only the greatest, most critically acclaimed comeback in anime history, but the best adapted arc out of the big3 and one of the best in all of anime as well as the amongst the best war arcs. This is likely to never change at least in terms of pacing, explicitness, and audio quality, considering the last one remaining. Doesn’t even take a fan to see it. Love to see the half the focus be on baby girl Rukia’s captaincy ceremony, to think that in the beginning she was equivalent to nothing but a foot soldier, but she’s come a long way in which for the world of Bleach only a mere 12 years have passed which in our world was from 2001 to 2013 as if you remember Bleach is a parallel to our world. Her and Ichigo is a prime best example of a platonic relationship. And then moving on to Mommyhime who looks even more stunning as she ever will, A true Milfy Wifey for Lifey lmfao. Love how aside from their hair, Kazui and Ichika takes mostly after their mamas, those Inoue and Kuchiki genes dominated Kurosaki and Abarai’s as they never stood a chance.😂 Now really wish and would’ve appreciated to see more of the immediate aftermath and character resolutions following the battle, along with characters getting together and marriages that they could’ve easily done if it was with an additional 3 Eps as the usual 13 episode cour but I guess much like OG Bleach it’s being left open ended and saved for when the novels get adapted, speaking of which that’s where Shuhei’s Bankai is revealed so interesting that they talked about it here without revealing it at all. The only crucial thing I will say without without getting into details is that let’s just say Yhwach got exactly what he wanted but not in the way he thought as he became the new linchpin as the Soul King As for how Uryu survived Auswählen- He likely antithesisized with his mom as in his life was swapped with hers which is the only thing that would explain why she passed haven’t been unaffected initially. Before breaking down TYBW, I have never consistently broken down every single individual episode of anything in my life, only on occasion for a series, such as DragonBall, Naruto, and JoJo’s as series that are severely misunderstood and oversimplified, so this was a first for me and upon doing so I have gained a whole new appreciation for Bleach beyond nearly all others, and realized that it’s depth is greater than anyone would critically believe, more so than the mariana trench all it takes is simply being invested to deep dive and analyzes the series even when it seems simple on a surface level, no matter how much others may think otherwise that it’s “all style and no substance or depth”, yet despite that I’ve never even broken down all of the poems of the series as I am not a poet/writer so that is out of my forte expertise, so in other words Bleach’s depth goes beyond even what I was able to break down and understand which alone proves that this series is not simply for a casual audience beyond a surface level, it’s a series that doesn’t hold your hand and treats you like an adult teaching you slowly leaving you to figure it out on your own, where the philosophy is ‘less is more’ and poetic subtlety, sure the execution isn’t always the best but when it hits, it nails it like no other. Bleach is a prime example of a well rounder series that just needed a different/more mature audience as opposed to teens that can only appreciate it for nothing more than it’s OST, character designs/art style and any other superficial things or at least not to be constantly compared to other juggernauts so that it could’ve stood on its own and be seen as individually just as good, if not better. Now, thanks to TYBW its reputation has been redeemed/rectified by about at least 80% with a concrete solid 9/10 critical rating across the board without even accounting for enjoyment, meaning it would be a practical 10/10 with that included. The remaining 20% being from those that hold an agenda, whether it be from a certain toxic group of shippers that plague the fado to this day, other fandoms or even casual watchers/enjoyers that simply just don’t care to look any further than a surface level into the series writing it off, that can’t be helped, but let it be known that no matter the agenda, Bleach is Here To Stay. Thank you to the Bleach fandom for being better than most. The mini after credit scene is what the series and theme of Bleach is as the stories of brave paralleled in a world of despair. That Along with self acceptance and courage is what Bleach represents. Be on the look out for Bleach Fes at the end of February 2027 and it’s exhibition in the summer of next year for updates on the future, see you in “No Breaths From Hell” arc hopefully no later than for the 25th anniversary of the anime by the end of the decade in October 2029, or in the worst case scenario the 30th anniversary in late 2034 tho I wouldn’t expect it to take that long. 👍

2026-10-27 03:00 Bleach TYBW Episode 50 “Death & Strawberry” Keyword Page Ichigo Kurosaki “A high school student who attends Karakura High School and in this world became a substitute Soul Reaper after meeting the Soul Reaper, Rukia Kuchiki, and has overcome many battles with the new sword "Zangetsu" to protect his friends and family. At the end of that step, he becomes a person who has both the power that crosses the boundaries of Soul Reaper, Quincy, Hollow and Fullbringer. Overcoming much despair, he finally defeated Yhwach with the worlds united and protected his loved ones and the world where his loved ones live.” Here’s a link to all of the keyboard pages, translated and organized comprehensively by me https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-KkeN51kcTj5GyGuZVXd21UFYBm_RgzcqOMPRpb9oPY/edit?usp=drivesdk Comment below if you would like to see a link to all of my episode breakdowns.
2026-10-27 04:00 For Roshi if you would, please read this as the ending made a lot more sense with strategy. More than half of this wasn’t even in the manga or explained, so it was completely fleshed out here. Kisuke’s plan- Remember Hollows are poison to Quincies. His contingency for Grimjow to instinctively pierce and inject Hollow Aids into Yhwach to temporarily stun him to make the opening for the killing blow should the still arrow not worked. He banked on Grimjows desire for a rematch with Ichigo would push him to be at the final battle and also prioritized the team healing Grimjow first and not himself. Get Grimjow into proximity of Yhwach as one of his possible outcomes. Similar to his plan for Aizen whe he fought ichigo. Mimihagi as part of the Soul King that is immune to The Almighty, bypassing it being at the center in defeating Yhwach was the best course of action that is completely anime original whereas in the manga it was simply just Uryu firing the silver arrow that came out of nowhere and Ichigo’s True Bankai Final Slash. Speaking of which, it’s self-explanatory in a visual sense with it being broken and shattering, symbolizing that it’s literally broken with the ability to shatter fate. Simple in a complex sense. His True Bankai (still called Tensa Zangetsu) is formed by merging them. The smaller blade slots into the larger one, producing a single large weapon that visually resembles his original cleaver-like Shikai but with a white outer shell over a black core and a thick chain. This represents the complete integration of his mixed heritage. His True Bankai (still called Tensa Zangetsu) is formed by merging them. 2026-10-27 03:00 For those that don’t know, this is not the end of Bleach, just TYBW. A domain for the next Bleach movie is registered and is in the works. Not to mention the return of the manga which guarantees to return to the anime, realistically expected by either the very end of the decade in late 2029 for the 25th anniversary or the absolute 30th anniversary in late 2034.

As for how Uryu survived Auswählen- He likely antithesisized with his mom as in his life was swapped with hers which is the only thing that would explain why she passed haven’t been unaffected initially. The remaining 20% being from those that hold an agenda, whether it be from a certain toxic group of shippers that plague the fandom to this day, other fandoms or even casual watchers/enjoyers that simply just don’t care to look any further than a surface level into the series writing it off, that can’t be helped, but let it be known that no matter the agenda, Bleach is Here To Stay. Thank you to the Bleach fandom for being better than most. The mini after credit scene is what the series and theme of Bleach is as the stories of brave paralleled in a world of despair. That Along with self acceptance and courage is what Bleach represents. For those that don’t know, this isn’t the end of Bleach, just TYBW. A domain for the next Bleach movie is registered and is clearly in the works. 👍

Asante

Been following Bleach since I was 13, and now it's over in just 4 years. It quickly became my favorite animanga. Gonna miss this era, and I'm excited for what Kubo does with it next!

지원

8/10 good ed i guess

DatBoi Lol

See yall for hell arc in 2040

The Mister Octopus

My ONLY complaint about this season, in particular with these last 2 episodes, were that they could've been longer. I think making this cour 2 episodes longer and making this into a standard 12 episode season would've been perfect to flesh out some stuff at the end and to make the ending have a much smoother landing. Other than that, this was a 10/10 season for me. Hope to see Hell Arc in the future! :D

Feel like a movie announcement for the One Shot is coming next year

Kisuke01

Now we wait 😌. Also Roshi that's how I feel with every Quincy fight these niggas were too busted some of them lost to straight plot.

Bakerz

Thank you guys. Will miss yall

Mei B.

Goodbye Bleach. It was a good 10+ years. Thank you for all the good music and memories.

Ephraim

I never read manga so I'm glad I finally got to see how this all happened but I can't lie, the last 2 cours were pretty rough. The first 2 were fire. The ending actually doesn't make any sense to me and I was hoping this episode would explain some part of it but it was just a completely disconnected time skip with zero resolution of anything left hanging from the previous episode. It felt like a filler ep. Literally nothing happens. I find it weird they delayed the last two episodes for that. Visually the Orihime episode was cool, but I don't actually think that episode was that great so I'm glad it didn't end there. That pretty much is how I feel about this cour as a whole. Nice visual moments but the climaxes fall flat.

Parlay miles

I just wish they added some lones about the ppwer of ichigos bankai

Oni Legend

Completely agree with what y’all said at the end. I love all the added changes and additional lore but the big issue with Yhwach as a villain is that the longer the arc goes on, the more bullshit he gets. Literally his entire thing across this final season is just “you literally can’t kill me” and after a point it becomes tedious because no amount of flashy lights and fight scenes means anything because he’ll just “nope” his way out of it until something randomly can kill him I also think the Blood Chain Ichigo/Maximum Orihime stuff was one of the best added changes and i wish this final stretch took that same initiative to bring some new shit completely out of left field. I really thought we were finally get more exploration of Ichigo’s abilities and potential with the Dual Zanpakto thing and it still ends up being more of the same even after we get Blood Chains The random 10 year time skip still does the pacing no favors and its strange because you’d think with the addition of CFYOW after the manga ended, we’d get some tidbits and resolved plot lines from there added in to help it flow better End of the day like Roshi said i still have that deep love for Bleach for being my first real non DBZ big anime and i will always tune in for more Bleach content, its just hard to walk away and still not have that same missed potential feeling that the entire series has frankly

Jalen Holmes

I will always love this series. PEAK. Can't wait for whats to come if theres more

BZD

The intro skip feels like it cut it too soon.

BZD

They call him Seis Manos! The strongest boxer in the world, he hits with the force of 6 arms.

BZD

I totally didn’t think about the fact that one of the new captains immediately damaged the new paving stones.

Tbdovan

It's page by page how the manga ended. 🤷🏿‍♂️ what more needs to be added

BZD

I can’t imagine Chad losing.

Bubble Gum

This was peak thank you 🙏

So nice to see the end of Bleach. This anime was my favorite over Naruto. And 2nd favorite to Inuyasha which I've re-watched several times. I used to record episodes of Bleach because it aired late on Adult Swim and my parents wouldn't let me stay up late. I watched it religiously and even watched the Bount arc lol. I'm excited to see what Kubo has in store this coming February. Would be a dream to get the CFYOW light novel and the Hell Arc animated.

Indifferent Denji

They left aizens mouth open this time just so he could talk to himself 😭

bleach

Need that hell arc now 🙏🏼

BZD

It was a bit anticlimactic.

Cain

Bro got the Naruto treatment and still looks better

The Mister Octopus

Yeah ik but they've added plenty of stuff that weren't in the manga already. I agree with Roshi that the final fight was kinda just fighting in circles. Blocking laser beams and then getting stabbed, thrown away and repeat. Would've loved to see the aftermath of the final fight a bit more too. Maybe some reflection on what they've lost, what will happen next or something about how Ichibei gave Yhwach the soul king treatment and used him as the linchpin for the 3 worlds instead of Ichigo. Not to mention a bunch of other things like what happened that doesnt really get explained like with whatever Urahara did to Grimjow. Again, like roshi said, similarly to the manga, the fight ends and then it jumps to the 10 year time skip with next to nothing in between in this episode. I would've liked to see things be slowed down a bit to let us see the stuff in between rather than be like, "op, fight ended. Here's what's going on now." And again, I love this cour, just wished it was a little longer to flesh things out a bit more

BZD

I think they should have done more explaining regarding the arrow Uryu shot. I know they foreshadowed it, but its capabilities weren’t really explained until the very end.

Kelven_140

I understand your problem with ending Roshi BUT for me the finale (in the anime) feels more "complete" then it did in the manga.. sure the ending of the Yhwach fight might leaves you in the same way but i overall happy we got to see the full final battle play out unlike in the manga which was 2 panels.... however you did said you still love Bleach regarless feeling the same way back in 10 years ago so that's makes me very happy to hear!!

Byron Wright

The next step after this is the hell arc, they talked a lot about "The balance" of souls between humans, soul reapers, and hollows often throughout the series. Souls that have captain level or higher spiritual pressure get excluded for that cycle and sent straight to hell. Once it actually kicks off we'll see what it's fully all about and not just what the movie showed.

Bellegarde Menard

they might adapt the cant fear your own wolrd light novels before the hell arc

Kris Barnes

I’m the same way. I love Bleach but I recognize the many faults of the ending. I’m still always gonna defend it against haters and consume any new Bleach media that comes out

Devin B

True, for something that was going to be the key factor in beating Yhwach it wasn't talked about nearly enough

WTT_321

Not only OP, but also ridiculous **oho you thought I was dead? NOPE** lol 😂

Kugenaru Kira

I think if I hadn't known about the ending going into it I'd be more disappointed but I did and I know how it feels to write yourself into a corner and just have to come up with sum bs to get our

WTT_321

I honestly don't know how they amped up this last arc as the most epic moment ever when it was the Quincies being so OP they can have time to use revives/power-ups on themselves to recover-spam like the Elite 4 from the Pokemon games... THAT BEING SAID, I'm happy Bleach finally got the proper ending we needed to finally close out this story (unless if they're planning on doing another damn arc, like why at this point??????)....! It's been a fun ride since 20 years when it first aired in the US....! Kubo is the GOAT alongside Toriyama sensei and Kishimoto for making awesome animes of our childhoods....! ALSO I'm dead by the fact that idk if Lupa wasn't paying attention at 13:21, but Ichigo asked where's Kazui at.... Last thing: I wasn't sure if I was tripping, but Kubo decided to give Karin a glow-up Orihime-ish style? Why am I not surprised....? 😅

R'Mani Leavell

I get Lupa not realizing that was ichigos son. I watched some of the dbz movies growing up before i watched the buu saga and I thought that goten was gohan son before i thought he was gokus. but i was like 12 lol

Severus Alaerth

Guys, Ichigo might kill me but hear me out on time skip Karin...

Fuji

kid that looks exactly like ichigo, lupa: who is this??? he is funny as fuck lmao

Zazikel

Lupa didn't realize cuz half of the episode he wasn't looking on the screen cracking up jokes lmao

ShaquanVirse

You mean CFYOW in a few years

Asher Ealey

23:43 Bro lowkey described Re: Zero😂

ShaquanVirse

CFYOW has to be animated first - it's literally the conclusion of this arc plus other amazing stuff.

ShaquanVirse

they literally have to - there's no might about it. CFYOW is literally the conclusion to this and you get all the answers we should've got end of this arc

Aaron williams

Lowkey I would’ve liked it more if Ichigo and orihime killed yhwach together. That being said yall it’s been such a blast all these years watching 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😭 I still enjoyed this arc

Wrëck

damn, just like that another mega franchise done airing....fuck I feel old lol

Isaac

Can't wait for the Hell Arc ova.

Isaac

Honestly, it would have made for sense for Yhwache's defeat to be because of this: The Almighty can see every possible future with the added on affect to alter it, however because the World was ending then and there, there was nothing to see beyond that point until he remakes the World how he said. So the dead end of time for the World is nothing and THAT'S when Uryu shoots the arrow to halt his power. Uryu doing a clutch shot the second the Worlds were just starting to be erased. Yhwache wouldnt have seen it coming at all and it wouldnt have been chalked up to him making a mistake.

Jamaal Ellison

Rather than Iba I think Renji and Shuhei should have been promoted to captain.

MyDude SnakePlisskin

I get where you're coming from by saying that science is the proof that if a tree falls down in the forest and nobody is around to hear it, it still makes a sound. However, science also kind of makes the exact opposite point. Once you really get down into the mathematics of Probability and Statistics and apply it to higher science, science actually says that somewhere, eventually, a tree will fall down in a forest somewhere with nobody around to hear it and it will not make a sound. Yes, 99.9999999repeating percent of the time, it will still make a sound. But in the span of the universe, if it hasn't already happened, it will happen eventually. Once you really dive into the higher sciences, you realize that the universe is basically made up of magic and wishes.

Daniel Turner

Now we wait for cfyow or hell arc

Daniel Turner

Because they added the soul kings right hand to the mix the ending is better because yhwach couldn’t see a future that the soul king intervenes in

kidBuku

Renji has never wanted to be captain.

MyDude SnakePlisskin

Oh man...Lupa asked who the kid was x.x Also, Renji didn't make captain because at least one person there has seen him fight and was like, "Naaaah, we need to start rackin' up some w's. Renji stays vice-captain.

ShaquanVirse

Renji doesn't want Captain status

Jamaal Ellison

He doesn't get a say we need the best of the best to step up. This lineup is kind of goofy right now.

kidBuku

Ok to be fair the inclusion of the soul kings arm adds alot more depth to Yhwachs defeat. Because as we know the Almighty cant see the soul king. So Yhwach literally would not be able to see that he would get attacked by the soul kings arm by Shunsui. There was just a lot more at work than just Yhwach not paying attention to that 1 future.

Frederick

Bleach is one of the best Shonen shows of all time. Sad that it’s ending. 🥹

kidBuku

He literally does tho. He has long since said that he wanted to remain under Byakuya. It doesnt matter if he is or isnt a captain. The Gotei 13 have him as a soul reaper regardless. This is deadass the same reason why Yamamoto's lieutenant was never a captain.

Jamaal Ellison

I remember that the only reason I am not going to debate this further is because they said they have had 10 years of peace, so they really do not need him to step up.

sol jam

As someone who never read the manga this arc was just fine. It started STRONG but after the royal guard it fell HARD but it had really good moments like with Orihime stuff but they were here and there I liked the ending though and overall it it solidifies Bleach as one of the old big 3

Pan Cakes

now we wait for burn the witch

codexpop Zx

Hell arc can be like a ova it was 49 pages

luckywizard

I agree overall with you Roshi and I wished the anime exclusive Orahime episode is how Yhwach went out. I don’t think they did a good job foreshadowing the arrows and Orahime being able to reject the all mighty makes much more sense for being his downfall than “Oops, I made a mistake”. Not to mention I think Aizen was severely under utilized

David James

Sound being defined as waves of pressure being perceived by the ear/sense of hearing, if nothing is hearing then no its not making a sound. Obviously the woods are full of creatures that can hear, so its not meant to be taken literally. Anyway, I wanted more of Burn the Witch. I hope they do that now that this is done.

ShaquanVirse

What's with yall forgetting CFYOW?

Kelven_140

Roshi read it and he talks about Kubo continue it in the future but even if they gonna adapt it one day it's not gonna be anytime soon because "hell arc" only has 1 chapter which ofc is longer then a normal bleach chapter but we need much more to have a whole season(s).

Kelven_140

I feel like Roshi forgot about Mimihagi (soul kings right arm) did play a big role to defeat Yhwach and with Grimmjow Urahara for sure did something to Grimmjow to weaken him so I don't agree with the statment that they just give everbody to do some "cool shit" and all. The anime version did it better for sure because in the manga it was 2 panel and timeskip. This finale feels much better now.

meeran haq

Man. What a ride. Even in the anime there were some things they could have done better or expanded on even more but I'm so happy I got to see it animated. I'm super curious if this is truly how he wanted it to end. The ending ending didn't change but even the additions weren't super mind-blowing (Other than episode 45). Maybe he was just stuck after making Yhwach so powerful. I still think the coming together was well done since it utilized multiple plot points. In the manga it was just the arrow suddenly out of left field and while it was still sudden in the anime, it was a bit more built up with Mimihagi, Grimmjow bite (Urahara meddling) and finally the arrow Either way, I really hope he does Hell Arc and it also gets animated.

Kelven_140

Roshi sadly forgot all about that.... and all he thinks about the "bad ending" he experienced in the manga and he says that everybody was just there to do some "cool shit and all". Which is not true..

Kelven_140

If we ever get novel adaptation in the future.. (i would love to see CFYOW in anime format one day)

Kelven_140

The only problem with that we don't have Ichigo in it and not sure how people would people about it that we don't have our GOAT being the MC because let's be real Shuhei is not THAT popular.. people calling him "69" guy and all that but i'm sure once they see the real him they not gonna call him just that.. they gonna put some respect to his name.

Kelven_140

They really need to if they not gonna adapt it before Hell arc gets adapted then people gonna be confused and feel like they missed a season or something. I really hope it's in their planning schedule.

Xemnas27

Damn you can feel the passion from Pierrot with TYBW. Good shit 🔥

Darius Williams

Can’t believe it’s finally over. Nooooo

ARC98

Favorite episode so far!! Friday needs to come faster!!

em

I agree that having god-villains fail cause of unforced errors is anticlimactic, but I buy into this ending slightly more than the manga because he got jumped. In the manga, it was just Ichigo, Aizen, and Uryu, because those three are key. Uryu has a chance to use the silver clot arrow to weaken Almighty because Aizen could mix up his perception, and then he could get Ichigo in range, Ichigo gets blocked and reveals his true blade for the kill-- but not if there's only three mfs on the field to keep track of.

Denovis

Chad out there beatting the fuck out of the regular people had me laughing

Bob Bob

Yeah, i think it wouldve been better if Orihime rejected Ywach "All Mighty" so that he cant use it anymore. And then everyone beat the shit out of him.

Jeff

Jesus I forgot Ywach died last episode. Assumed he decided he survived again. Fun season. Much better arc. Still a fuck awful villain.

Jeff

I agree with Sheera, Orihime scoring the win was the best possible outcome for this arc. Ichigo could earn his MC stripes some other way... maybe bringing her back or some shit I don't know. When all alternatives are as bleak as they ended up being, the MC not getting the last hit is comparatively pretty minor. It's not like he did anything special as is.

Arsean Wilbon

Well the ending was more than just cool shit happened then no, while that was taking place the ending actually is much more in depth as compared to the manga. What happened was yhwach literally was fighting 3 battles all at the same time across realms. His almighty could see the future thus he rewrote his outcomes, the dream he was given he wrote off as a fluke but really it was a warning Hash had seen and tried to relay to Yhwach about another future. Grimjow biting yhwach delivered poison because hollows are poisonous to Quincy's, Shunsui made contact with the right arm of the soul king which power is stagnation literally stopping the progression of the almighty, plus mimihagi is immune to Yhwach, Ishida shot a specially made quincy arrow tip that you can only create from culled quincies that when it makes contact with Yhwach blood it will temporarily stop his almighty. All of that combined opened up avenues for Yhwach to be killed. Yhwach attempts to stop Ichigo by breaking Zangetsu literally revealing Zangetsu (The sky chained moon that kills, that why his real bankai invoked a moon and chains because thats the real name) and delivering a final blow.

Nyarlathothep's nyaughty discord kitten

"Now you feel like number one, sexually assault anyone, catch them as they try to run, stick your finger up they bum" -Tite Kubo, pitching live-action remake to Hollywood (new better ending!)

Ergo Somnium

Chad wasn't even giving them boys a twitch before he rocked their jaw. lol

Guav

i like that they reanimated it but itfelt so weird lmao whole time i was like give me the ugly ass ichigo

Faisal

So for clarity: Yhwach did NOT see the future where he died He didn’t have The Almighty at that time because he was asleep so he couldnt see the future. That's why he just dismissed it as a dream It was Jugram who saw the future where he died He passed that vision over to Yhwach as he slept, because he knew Yhwach would dismiss it Jugram betrayed Yhwach
