Remember kids, blood doesn't only have big and wide veins, and bloodbenders don't use muscles, instead, they use veins. So, in order to lift a person or even control their little veins to move their fingers can rupture micro veins and cause internal bleeding along with incredible pain. If done with an overly excessive force, it can turn one's inside into scrambled eggs.

One of the things I like about this series is not only the technological advancements but also in bending too. Katara learned from Hama and did it better, then Tarlok learned from his predecessors and did it even better. Kind of like how in real life Olympic athletes became more skilled as the standards continued to increase.

I have a pet theory that one of the past Avatars figured out bloodbending long ago and just kept it secret for fear of exactly this happening. I think that might be the explanation for why the Avatar State can so easily overcome bloodbending -- the experience of the Avatar that created it is called forth. It's possible, of course, that the Avatar State can just overpower any given bloodbender's power. But I think it would make sense that it's more than that.

Tbh if I were to make a guess I'd assume Amon is like an upgraded version of Combustion man, since they had fully functional metal prosthetics back then, and so his resistance could be from just straight up having barely any blood from having a mostly mechanical body.

I've always headcanoned that people in the Avatar universe are way more resilient than real world humans. I mean obviously it's a cartoon so that plays a factor but some of the things these people go through, bender or non-bender, is just crazy.

Unlikely, they've said that avatars very rarely can master the higher forms of bending (lightning, metal, blood, etc.). Since the avatar state focuses all the past lives energies, I think its more that it would be like trying to bloodbend every avatar at once, which would obviously be impossible to do for any bender. Also, Hama was the first known bloodbender, she was credited with its discovery. As far as I know no one before Hama had ever done it. She realized that while she had no water to bend, there were walking bags of fluid in the prison. Prior to the 100 year war and the mass imprisonment of waterbenders no waterbender ever had a reason to bend blood so it just wasn't thought of.

Yes, because Aang being able to master all four elements AND energy bending in half a year when it took other Avatars years of training was definitely not convenient and felt very earned. Stop hating so much. Korra is definitely not on the same level as ATLA but it's still pretty good.

It was made very clear aang didn’t master any element except his birth element air though he was considered pretty gud at it yes but it wasn’t mastery. Every point in S3 it was shown how much better Katara nd Toph were at there respective elements. Nd this is coming from the writers not me. Aang bending were boosted because of his avatar state dats all there was to it. No reason to hate on Korra for a dumbass reason like dat
