So my biggest question here is.....is Rachel also an irregular? Obviously she got in on accident when it was supposed to be Bam originally but she still started on the floor where irregulars start it seems.

ok

I just think we need to acknowledge Lupa catching something both Roshi and Sheera didn't catch with Rachel not being able to see the glowing hands ... like that was so subtle too. As someone fully caught up with the manhwa i didn't realize it until he said it haha. He also did it with the latest Hell's but that was less subtle this was crazy

Jamaal Ellison

Last episode i believed maybe Rachel had a reason for why she did what she di, admittedly i was just in denial about her true nature. I sympathize with Bam so much now because I'm sure he had similar thoughts and feelings running through his head. So I'm shocked that Rachel is just a traitorous, narcissistic, envious, bitch. I really need this nigga Bam to turn up and get some get back now, I'm invested in his story.

>>66707115

Hard disagree here. Her frustration is absolutely relatable. Her reaction, though? I’d like to think most people would not attempt to murder their friends out of envy and ambition lol

suzukiri
>>66707115

That's too literal. This comment was so long ago! More or less by her pushing Bam im correlating it to someone crossing someone else they care about to elevate themselves. I think that's super common and more people would do that than would admit it. I didnt mean most ppl would literally commit a crime out of envy

Jaiden Williams

Its supposed to be coming back july this year this nigga bam needs to turn the fuck up this bitch is crazy, laughing to herself no, sadness just happiness

Boaz Russell

Season 2 is set to start July 7th!

Kd

Binged all these episodes for the upcoming season…Rachel should slip on a banana n slide down a mountain🫶🏾

I know I'm late but you fucking suck, I wish you would get warm cold products and cold hot products for the rest of your life. Also jump into oncoming traffic

Oliver

Damm i feel sorry for all you who waited for 4 years i Salute you. Gotta admit since i already knew not to trust Rachel i weirdly don't hate her. I understand her she have at EVERY POINT tried to distance herself from Bam. She left him and he is a constant reminder that he is the MC while she is no one also he is the only one who stands in her way she only get's a chance if she kills him and they keep pushing her to do it, or she would either die or leave the tower to what ever situation she was in before. On a final note i think she the reason for not showing remorse is simply because she accepted it she can't keep doubting herself. Either betray him or tell him but choose one and she accepted it. Man i love this show Bam is so awesome i now i go to S2 Please don't kill me for Rachel take LMAO

Narutofreak94

Had to rewatch with y’all for the third time lol and now season 2 is upon us 💙

Luhbabytay

Get off my girl Rachel she innocent 😈

Maurice

I hope that do season 2 right. I highly recommend reading the webtoon.

Jermaine Johnstone

Yes, she's an irregular. Basically an irregular irregular because even the tower didn't choose her and she's here purely by mistake.

Juu

Yo Roshi, fire uploads today. Rachel is an irregular by definition, since she entered the tower on her own and wasn't born their or wtv. Do you think there's any chance of you checking out the manga for this, maybe after Solo Levelling if you enjoy it since that's a good intro manwa? It has 500+ chapters so you'd have a lot of content. Appreciate the consistency llike always bro. Cheers. Also cant wait for the SL stream on twitch whenever it comes.

King Uma is life
>>39206681

Can confirm started it after episode 7 cause i couldn't wait and I'm now on chapter 377 and it's taken over my life. I can't stress how amazing Tower of God is and how much I hate Rachel.

Blain158

To answer your question, It's not stated anywhere in the Webtoon if she is. But the way she got in is indeed not normal. Also, if you start reading definitely read the Author SIU's blogpost. He answers this question and more in there that feels in other details.

Juu

Lupa really out here thinking they got 1 or 2 more floors to go 🤣🤣

Jake Disarufino

Idk if Rachel counts as an irregular i was confused as well, firstly she’s so weak and I thought the implication is irregulars are stronger than normal thus they are able to open the doors themself and her transition seemed different than bams... I was pretty confused headon made it sound like she accidentally got in? It seems like rachel isn’t a irregular or a normal climber it seems like she just bitched her way into the tower... god I really really hate Rachel I honestly was fine with her she was just a thot last two episodes though 😂

Narutofreak94

IIIIIIIII HIGHLY suggest you read season one of the webtoon if you want some clarification on a few things. They did a beautiful job with the pacing. Season 2 is gonna be beautiful. Y'all are in for a treat.

Eucser

The author confirmed that she's technically an irregular because by definition an irregular is someone that wasn't chosen

ZeroText

Rachel is an irregular, but not in the same way that Bam is an irregular. Bam had the strength to open the doors on his own. While Rachel basically stole an invitation with someone else's name on it.

sim

its a shame the anime is good but as an adaption is was very well uhm, not good the direction was messy and they made it so generic. and they tried to give it some weird aesthetic and imo could have been way better. i think season 2 is confirmed just no date, and the director is working on another project so who knows what will happen with the production

sim

shes not a regular...

Alex cleveland

Yes, RACHEL IS A IRREGULAR. This is a 100% fact

Corey Greene

Time for the God of Highschool y’all boys

GeneralDisarray
>>39206831

By SIUs confirmation she is an irregular because an irregular is just someone that enters without Headon picking them. She entered the tower without Headon, but Headon helped her after to set the plot for Bam.

Alex cleveland

And S2 gotta be 100+ eps bro. Theres like 300 chapters in S2 and they're pretty long chapters.

Kreative
>>39206770

It seems like the tower was opening up for Bam but Rachel fell in first because she was below him. Least thats what I assume

L

Guys.... -_- Rachel's bitch ass is technically an "irregular" because she was right there with Baam and instead of taking him in like it was intentionally gonna do it took her bitch ass. She wasn't supposed to be an irregular but since she got taken and was allowed in she is. Baam is the true irregular because it was him who was originally supposed to be taken into the tower through that route that Rachel took. He still got taken in but instead of him Rachel bitch ass had to be there instead and got taken the first time the gates showed up.

Brandon Eaton
>>39206681

I started after episode 7 also and caught up in 2 weeks. It gets even better over the next 107 chapters.

Shiratoshi

Rachel main protagonist 😂

MrNoor114

Sheera: "He's thinking with the wrong head" hahaaha i see you sheera.

Blain158
>>39206770

Yeah, Kreative. You are correct. I'm current with the Webtoon.

Maurice
>>39206681

Just wait it gets even better. Season 2 has to be at least 80 episodes.

Brandon Eaton

They spent months together in preparation for the administrator test. Endorsi trained Bam a little and she started liking him more. Rak trained with red wings guy, etc. there’s a lot in those 79 chapters of the webtoon that covers this prologue.

Brandon Eaton

I also think the second season of the webtoon will become several anime seasons

damnjerick

You should do Live Reads on youtube! That would be dope. I started reading the webtoon after this episode and I'm already on chapter 110, It's so good broo

Devin B
>>39206744

I only say she's considered a regular only cause in the webtoon they never really specified what she was and their definition of a irregular is someone who forcefully opens the door to the tower.

MrNoor114

Bam be lookin like that dude from dororo.

Zeta

Bam is an Irregular and rachel is a mistake

Zeta
>>39209127

Also Bam opened the tower but Rachel was under him so she fell in

David

Basically what has been said already. She kinda stole her way in there, she's an irregular but not due to her own power. She's weak and desperate, willing to do whatever to get through. Baam on the other hand forced his way into the tower with his own strength. He has power and he's special, while in comparison, she isn't. So to clear it up a bit, both Rachel and Baam are irregulars. Neither of them were invited to the tower. Rachel stole her way in, Baam forced himself to follow. Rachel is just an irregular without any actual power to be there in the first place.

BoomerPlusUltra

Bam opened the door for her since his hands were on it - but she's an irregular since she wasn't chosen. Which means she wasn't selected by the tower (who selects irregulars, headon selects the regulars), but she also doesn't have the power people who open the door by themselves normally do (aka, all the previous irregulars). As someone said, she's an irregular / irregular. A weak ass irregular.

Egg Plant
>>39207673

idk man i liked the adaptation just fine. i agree they left out quite a bit of stuff though, but theres only so much you can fit in 13 episodes i guess. also from what i heard, the producer or whatever you'd call it only read the first season of the webtoon, so that could explain why some things were cut because they didnt look like they had meaning at first if you didnt read past season 1. season 2 doesnt have an exact release date but its fair to say that it will prob release around april 2021.

Shiratoshi

Lupa forgot about how when we see it from Bam’s perspective we see glowing hands but from Rachel’s we see nothing.

L
>>39208197

AKA like someone else said BAAM IS AN IRREGULAR and Rachel is just a MISTAKE (but technically an irregular since she showed up through the gates)

Shiratoshi
>>39208448

She even promised the two would do something together that is basically not allowed for a princess. You’ll see how much that meant to her later on in the series.

sim
>>39207673

That imo sounds like it means its not a well adaption. The anime is still good its just a bad adaption for the first season at least.

BoomerPlusUltra

The clue as to what they want from Bam is in the line Hansung Yu says about how "the Princesses of Jahad think he's dead."

Jason Serrano

Baam doesn't like her in a sexual way like y'all think. It's more of she's his saviour and light cuz she was the only one there with him.

Waluigi
>>39206721

Rachel never entered the tower on her own. She isn’t an irregular or even someone remotely special like anyone else who is in the tower. The WEBTOON clearly states at one point that Bam opened the tower at that point and she “fell through.” Its like a door only opening for one person. Since she was literally underneath him, she fell through first and the tower had to be opened again for Bam to fall in as well.

Jerry89

When you guys read the webtoon you will see Bam looks at Rachel as a mother it's nothing sexual about their relationship

FragZone

I'm starting to think that Lupa's body is just super in tune with his emotions, hence why whenever he experiences a strong emotional moment from an anime that causes his body to react in a severe way loool. 😂

Delinda Arts

Rachel’s villain origin story 🤯

Kelvin

I love the call back to episode one when the black march talks to bam. When she mentions to bam that rachel wouldnt be the same person he remembers. Im torn between reading the webtoon or just staying anime only.

Devin B
>>39212084

That's true. For Bam Rachel can be considered his family, friend, savior and love interest all mixed up into someone that was literally his whole world

Delinda Arts

I’m officially about to start the webtoon Bc I can’t wait lol

Noah

It's funny that Rachel wants to be a star to feel special, she even states that Bam is the only one that makes her feel special, in a way he is what she is looking for, partially because of that Bam ends up being a star to her (he's a "star" to others as well) so its just that shes jealous that he shines brighter than her Bam is definitely an irregular, unsure of what Rachel is. Theres a lot to unfold for many of the characters. I would recommend the webtoon, theres so much ground to cover, have been enjoying the animation though.

Splargle
>>39214756

Crunchyroll already said they planned from the start to animate the entire thing, they have not announced if season 2 is in production yet but considering how ridiculously popular its been i can imagine season 2 would be like, january next year, maybe april.

Arlind Sejdijaj

Rachel is a irregular irregular, she fell through because the tower opened the door cus of bam. Rachel was never supposed to enter the tower, but she hatin on the dude that made it possible for her

Kevon

From my understanding Irregulars are people not specifically chosen by Headon but, are chosen by the Tower. They also are super strong. Rachel isn't chosen by either Headon or the Tower itself. On top of that she is weak. She is irregular for an irregular.

Space

She's an irregular because the creator literally said so so it's not a debate

kurumi Tokisaki

I feel bad for rachel. Wise words from the OG yoda: "Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering." She feared what she didnt understand...she didnt understand how a boy she nurtured that had less was given everything she desired. Jealousy took over, but it was the corrupt system of the tower that manipulated her actions. She wasnt a bitch, she was bitch made. ~Signed: Her defence attorney

Josiah

Rachel wanted to be the main character so bad 😂

Anonymous
>>39230787

Agreed. She gets free powerups and improbably good luck, but Bam also gets those. Somehow, she gets as high up as Bam without his innate abilities. That's fairly resourceful. If only she's more dignified about exploiting her relationship with Bam, then she'll be likeable. She just appears emotionally weak. She betrays, but Endorsi and Khun also betrays. I still hate her, but I don't hate her as much as other people hate her. Bam is also somewhat responsible for not reading her needs, though it's still mostly Rachel's fault for being scared.

Staus

I don't think she is a regular or an irregular she was only able to enter because Bam opened the door that's why she has zero shinsu and is so weak, I think she ended up where the irregulars end up because Bam opened the door that leads to that place, if Bam wasn't there she wouldn't have gone to either place. It's been stated that irregulars in general are monsters compared to regulars (probably since they can open the door themselves). But this is just my theory - Great show definitely recommend the webtoon

cofaux

an irregular is someone who entered the tower from the outside thats all the term means despite rachel not having any unique or abnormal powers shown up to this point she is still considered an irregular

Slicewinds

#RachelDidNothingWrong

Austin Yun

So now the prologue of Tower of God is over and it's time for long-haired 25th Night to enter the scene. So hyped. By the way, I think it's worth mentioning that although 25th Night obviously has bullshit main character luck and hacks, Rachel got there first and was given the exact same test, but she refused to even take it, whereas Night immediately tried to jump in.

Kevin

Just want to say even if Bam alone was called to the Tower he'd be Irregular. They didn't do a good explanation but if Headon is the one who scouts you personally than you are a regular. However the Tower itself is itself an entity of intelligence and seeks out certain types of people in the Universe. If the Tower itself summons you without Headon having anything to do with it, to be chosen by the Tower itself is to become an Irregular. Headon choosing you is no different than a scout of the Kingdom of Jahad finding you. You are regular because you fall within his Kingdom's jurisdiction. However the Tower itself can seek people outside of Jahad the Kings jurisdiction, which is how Jahad himself was originally selected to climb the Tower himself. So when you ask if Bam is still an irregular, ofcourse he is, he was found by the Tower itself.

Kaz Z.

correct me if i’m wrong but i always thought that Baam opened the door to the tower and Rachel only got in because Baam opened it. She just kinda just stumbled along inside because of Baam. Headon even tells Rachel, “it’s not you”

Kaz Z.

please read the manhwa atleast up to this point. the anime does not do it justice. they changed some of the dialogues and it changes the perceive motives and understanding is each character. the manhwa was so full of mystery that makes you want to know more. the anime pales in comparison. so disappointed with crunchyroll and the production.

Corey Leach

Man I jus looked at the animation of Rachel's eyes. She has the eyes of a snake and her skin pale as shit.

Eli Kisamo

The only thing is, Bam is not thinking with his dick. Lol. Rachel is like his god and his mom. XD

Majin Bree

I sympathize with Rachel. It seems like she wanted to be a good person (which is probably why she raised Bam) but finding out the Tower hadn't actually picked her ruined her spirit. She just wants to live a good life. I think Rachel is a star in her own unique way. She was able to get into the Tower under seemingly impossible circumstances. And her arrival to the Tower seems to be bringing a lot of calamity. She's truly a wild card not being picked by the Tower or Headon. I'm excited It's easy to like Bam, I like Bam, but what Rachel and Hoh said (think) of him is true. He ain't did shit and ain't went through half of what everybody else has to bring them to the tower. Everything just kind of fell in his lap. It's easy for him to be the good guy cause it's not that serious for him. Everybody fighting for they life and this man just out there vibing lol.

Oui Oui

"Time passes differently in the tower" That's not what they meant and that is not true at all

Oui Oui

Also that wasn't the plan. Y'all got a lot of things wrong during this series

Ohais

Me, only just finding out why he's called 35th Bam after reading the Manwha today. So when Headon asks his name at the start in the Manwha, Bam says he's 'named after his birth.' So in Korean, Bam means 'Night,' so he was born on the 35th night, and named accordingly

nami

Whether people like to admit it or not Rachel is extremely relatable to most people in their desire to be special and treated as such. She obviously cared for Bam in some capacity, which is why this whole episode detailed her internal struggle i.e her wanting to warn him to run or crying right after laughing in that window scene. I think way more Rachels exist in life than Bams, not too many people who wouldnt cross someone in some way that would do anything for them, to attain their own goals. I personally hate Rachel as a character, but its hard to deny how relatable a character she is, pretty sure it was intended to come off as such

suzukiri
>>48408278

it's just going to be a time skip before they see each other again lol

jack dylan Mclovin

not gonna lie this guy becomes a badass he reverses someones decapitation in the recent chapters after white cuts it off

Folded Ghoul

Bro. Just why spoil? S2 of the anime is finally beginning production, delete this before the anim is relevant again lol

Susana Canales
>>45772093

I disagree. Given what we know about Baam, he’s had it way worse than any of them. Being talented doesn’t mean you can’t or don’t need to work hard. Baam has worked hard and he’s still weak now. He didn’t have to be the good guy, given what he went through. It’s only because of Rachel that he is. Lol he’s only vibing because he already had everything he wanted. So climbing up the tower was pointless.

Susana Canales
>>39230787

I see your point, but honestly, how is Baam supposed to read her needs when he’s been alone all this time. He doesn’t possess the tools necessary to do that.

Susana Canales
>>39256545

Exactly. The power difference was never the point. She lacked the courage and drive to climb the tower. Honestly, she always came off as wanting things to be handed to her instead of risking her life for it. Baam didn’t get that luck and hacks until much later, tho there was the black March, I admit. He was still extremely weak tho.

ok

Lupa with the Sheeragan on this one

ok
>>39256545

this is a very important point. when bam was offered the test compared ot when rachel was offered the test is night and day. she immediately complained about it not being fair etc etc. bam didn't think twice.

ok
>>48408278

yes they kept misunderstanding that and saying it as if it was a fact but that fact was never stated. also it passes differently in the tower compared to what? outside of the tower? what outside of the towerz? there is ONLY an inside of the tower that they are all in lol

ok
>>67836234

damn you actually suck. i am reading the beginning of that fight now

Killuazoldyck

I hate that the bish rachel got to the climb the tower with bam's friends.

Haaa?

rewatching this with yall and reading super far ahead just got me thinking it all wouldve great if racheal died when Hoh stabbed her ass. But Hoh is trash at everything so...

Kevon

Season 2 just confirmed

Philip A Auguste
>>48408278

not true. they are wrong about the passage of time in what they have seen so far , but there exists a world outside the tower where we see bam and rachel in the first scene. as opposed to time difference btwn in and out of the tower whose to say because. very very small spoiler... the author of the webtoon has purposely stated baams real age hasnt been revealed yet. for reference in this first season endorsi is 300 years old and yuri is a bit over 500 years old

Philip A Auguste

really hope before watching season 2 some that you guys watch some videos about what the webtoon cut and or changed, because for some odd reason they failed people that didnt fail in the comic. and what happened with ren the jahad royal enforcer did not happen in the anime.

Rick James

sometimes I wonder if we're watching the same thing, with these reactions lol Many of the things that happened is schemed by Headon and Hansung Yu. Rachel simply followed Hwaryun/Hansung's directions to end up where she did. They showed several times where she wavered, even wanted Bam to run. Yes, she's jealous of Bam, scared of him, but that's not really abnormal given how Bam started in the same place as her but is basically a "chosen one" whereas she is just a regular girl. Even the scene where she is laughing in her room after what she did and y'all called her a whole ass villain, if you actually pay attention, you can tell that it's a despair laughter, almost like she is laughing at herself, rather than an evil laughter.
