I used to skip the intro before ngl, but I love it now 🔥

Ally

“Korra finally got hip to unaloqs bs” ...um yeah abt that 😐

godUsoland

The beat to the intro still too fire bruh 🔥🔥🔥 I can't watch the episode cuz I keep replaying the intro.

Rachel Kim

I don't know if you've noticed but for the first couple episodes of this season, the characters are very static and don't move much when talking. I'm pretty sure it's because they had to hire out a different animation company for the first half of this season due to budget issues. In fact the whole first half of this season is a little different in terms of animation and art style because of this.

Shaw

STUDIO PIERRET???!! The worst animation studio in Japan?! omg

Ben H

The fact that Korra fell for the whole "Avatar being neutral" thing still baffles me. Imagine Aang not fighting the Fire Lord cause he has to stay "neutral" lol

Rachel Kim

I think the whole "Avatar being neutral" thing makes sense generally speaking. However, it also is the Avatar's job to maintain peace and balance in the world so that's why it was Aang's role to stop the Fire Nation and end the war. But the Water Tribe Civil War is not as clear cut from an outsider's perspective as it's implied that technically they are one tribe under one leader and the fact that Korra is from the Southern Water Tribe complicates things for her personally.

Rachel Kim

Yeah, that's the one. Out of all of the slight character design changes, Asami's face bothers me the most lol.

Daniel Robb

Exactly this, except I think it's pretty easy to tell from our POV, but from the character's, they really have to walk a thin line between complicit and heavy handed. One small misstep and you have a whole side against you.

Ben H

The Water Tribe situation is very clear cut. Unaalaq came into the Southern Water Tribe with his ships and soldiers which, in our world and international law system, is an act of war. The Avatar is well within her rights to interfere in such a situation.

Shawn Nguyen

So would your daughter fuck shit up if Lupa threw Roshi in prison?

Devin B

With Aang's situation he didn't have the option to be neutral since the fire nation was decimating all the other nations for about a hundred years. In Korra's situation the fight is only between two sides of the same tribe. When you show favoritism towards one side it will agitate the other side into doing something extreme to level things out.

Ben H

Using this logic, Korra shouldn't have interfered in book 4 either. Not trying to spoil, but those were internal affairs as well within one kingdom. The idea that Korra needed to sit this one out and remain neutral makes no sense. If keeping balance and peace is her job, she can't very well let one tribe invade the other.

Cody Braim

Damn that shit with Bumi talking to Aang’s statue was kind of heavy

RM

That family photo always hits me in the feels

LK

Say whatever u want about the season, some of the jokes still slap

Your 100% right, people defending it but Kyoshi did the same damn thing. Chin came to her village and she stood her ground. Thats the ENTIRE point of the series finale in ATLA, "you must actively shape your destiny and the worlds". And thats what makes each avatar and their life so fascinating, hell they are only human and will fuck up, but this whole nonsense of an avatar remaining neutral makes no sense in theory and the show straight up denies it lmao.

John

"Its great to speculate on this show" you mean watch the show ahead of time and then do reaction, and Unalag was right about the avatar supposed to stay neutral.. What if the avatar bodied you because he didn't like you and y'all would look real crazy.

John

It does make sense because its favoritism.. Using a Deux ex machina for one side of the spectrum you sound slow.. The fire lord situation was a whole other situation.. Korra is just irrational and butts into things that's not her business.. She think she has the right to do anything she wants also is what I don't like about her character. Its just funny how Roshi likes to talk about Korra folding so and so but she has 4 elements plus avatar state and the ppl have 1 element lmao

Ben H

Defending one tribe from being invaded by another isn't favouritism lol, what are you talking about? Nor is it irrational. And it absolutely is her business as both the Avatar and as a member of the water tribe. Like the other comment said, did Kyoshi let Chin invade her village at out of some bizarre notion of neutrality? No.

Muffin Music

I doubt they watch them beforehand. They just watch anime a lot, some themes are just easy to pick up on. It's not like they predict shit that's impossible to see. Look at season 1, they had no clue what Tarlok and Amon's deal was till like the last 2 episodes. I'd only be suspicious if they like predict something 10 episodes in advance, like predict the season finale type shit.

Bullet

That ending terrified me when i first watched this ngl lmao

Sughandi

Im 8 months late but you're such a salty pussyboy on every avatar video

Thomas_Stilinski

sex with eska could be interesting for some people

Neutrality doesn't make sense in general, both in the Avatar stories and irl. For conflict one or both sides have to be an aggressor, being neutral just means letting them (Typically the side that instigates it) do as they please. In this case the North clearly invaded and took over the South and followed that up by separating them from the rest of the world. To be more specific the leader of the North also manipulated just about the whole thing. Korra being neutral or waiting it out would essentially be no different than siding with her uncle as she was while trying to claim to be on no ones side. We have yet to see any avatar be nuetral because that's not a real thing, I'd say especially so in a world were most subjects and beings are divided by light/positive and dark/negative energy. And considering Zuko's character arc these energies can be used as a moral guide/definition

Anthony Longoria

We've never seen any Avatar be neutral, Kyoshi gave Chin the middle finger to his plans before letting him die(This example is pretty much your example, she didn't like him and bodied his ass, done), Roku shut his best friend down twice on his world conquering plans threatening to end him, Aang fought in the 100 year war instead of staying neutral. Their position is not to stay neutral, it is to guide the world (Peace) and preserve the balance, letting one nation invade another is not creating peace and without the interference of her father and the manipulation of her uncle civil war would have already broken out, at this point because she blindly followed her uncle and allowed him to overrun the South civil war is just about the only option she has left them with due to trying to be neutral

Ryn

ikr? They had that horror movie soundtrack going and everything o.o

The B plot with Tenzin and his siblings is really quite sweet and an amazing piece of world building between the two series. I'm curious to see if the idea of Aang's legacy continues to be explored and Tenzin's growth as a character. Iroh was a mentor who pretty much already had it figured out, and Tenzin doesn't. These episodes sort of show how much he doesn't even as it shows off his strengths (tea party with sky bison babies, damn). Also, pretty sure it was the older daughter who sensed something in the Air Temple. I want that thread to be picked back up too, but no spirits in this 2-parter. Really enjoy watch this for the first time with y'all even if I'm months behind.

9:41 y'all applauding but you can't be threating Judge 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

DjSKitZ

Roshi bound to be the most selfish avatar 😂😂😂
