Overall I would give this Season a 6.5 maybe 7 out of 10. Korra was kinda annoying in the first half , the Avatar Wan stuff saved it and then it picked up from there. Idk why but I feel like Korra's performance as the Avatar is possibly the worst in Avatar history 😂 Anyway on to Book 3! Next week will return to the three drops, we start watching Book 3 tomorrow!

damn i really hope the earth avatar series we get next year will fix the connections to past avatars

Ethan Hines

I think the decision by Mike and Bryan to sever all the connections to the past Avatars was the worst decision they’ve ever made. I’ll never understand why they did it.

Daniel Lee

Season 3 is MUCH better than Season 2. Avatar Wan’s story is still amazing though

SaviorOfNirn

Korra can't be the worst when Kuruk exists.

jmv213

Next season is a lot of people’s favorite and after rewatching this one, I think it’s really underrated. Also, I actually think the chose to cut off the avatar connections is a bold writing choice but I’ve also seen the whole show already, so I can see why some people are really reactionary to it when watching for the first time. But it should open up some great story telling possibilities for Korra.

Woah

Book 2 wasn't that good but Book 3 of Korra is the best out of all Korra/Aang Books for me atleast. Can't wait to see your reaction to it.

Lady Jie

Really wish they dropped the first episode of season 3 too

Alexthenjbadboy

Damn we gotta wait till next week for book 3 SMH

Danny

to be fair to korra there are THOUSANDS of avatars but at least among the ones we have seen...she has been the most underwhelming one.

matthew

Actually they made a book explaining that the avatar after korra shows up they wouldn’t be able to talk to korra at all so ability to talk to past lives are gone. But the book they made is supposed to be like a journal that korra left behind for next avatar detailing them all lessons and story she learned while being the avatar as well ssome of her friend and family advice

Robinson

Book 3 is heat lets go

Gabby Boakye-yiadom

Well that still kind of blows a lot tbh. What's the point then, so technically no more Avatar State. Future Avatars no longer will have guidance from past lives. Any chance you can give the gist as to why the communication is locked?

HalfroSamurai

A very uneven season but one that I still really enjoyed after the halfway point. I really like the bold moves taken in the final few episodes. Season 3 is on a whole other level though!

User100

Book 3 is upon us!!!

Dimitri

Book 3 HYPE!!!!

Brady

May be a controversial opinion but Book 3 of Korra is my favorite book across both series. Can't wait for you guys to experience it.

Champion Bescos

Glad you guys didn’t just blindly love the season. It had its great moments and it also had its great faults, so a 6.5 definitely seems fair. Korra seasons are generally weaker than ATLA, and this was arguably the weakest of the bunch. That being said, you will likely enjoy the next season a lot more.

hurryupmode

Kuruk was the worst avatar.

Anonymous

We really gotta wait until next week for Season 3?.... I'm salty

Rcl

That tree don't look like a vagina sheeras just a pervert lmao

Killjoy

i do not blame you at all for that rating, that's slightly better than what i would give it, but book 3 and 4 are some major heat, i personally put book 3 as the second best season in the avatar franchise as do a lot of other people.

Warsame

eh the worst is probably the previous water avatar nigga did nothing and lost to that face spirit

Kasparas Navickas

Korra seasons are weaker than ATLA? Thats a bold statement! Season 1 and 3 are top tier in korra, and even the 4th one is well above average

Ian

I can’t wait for a breath of fresh air

Robinson

Now you guys understand why some ppl hate korra😂😂😂

Jordan Odle

How you feel about book 2 is how most people who like season 2 so yeah 6.5/7 out of 10 is about right

Jomarie Ann

Book 3 is the best season of Korra, and arguably of the whole Avatar franchise right next to Book 3 of ATLA. You guys will LOVE it!

Keno31404 .

Everyone mentions how naive and bratty she was at the beginning (true), but when you find out the basis of the life you know has been built on a bunch of lies and secrets added with the fact that she felt more controlled than protected, OF COURSE she'd listen to the one person who gave her freedom of choice with their faith behind her actions. Unalaq made her believe in her own actions, so naturally she turned to him for guidance when there was little to be found before. Also glad it was pointed out that she ended up doing exactly what Unalaq wanted, but applied it to her ideals. That should show she's grown. Also the past life mechanic wasn't used well in either shows. Aang straight up ignored most of the advice given anyways

Megi Moon

This is probably the most hated thing in Avatar Korra how she lost all past avatars memories. Because yeah it's gonna suck for next avatars for being unable to contact past avatars because of Korra.

Devin B

How was Kuruk worse than Korra? It wasn't his fault that his era was in peace and there wasn't anything for him to really do

Jigga Man

It is time to let go of your earthly tethers 🍃🌬️

Chad Valencia

Got one bit of defense for Jinora coming in like Jesus. She's literally the spiritual successor of Aang so that spiritual amplification makes sense.

Kanza

My headcanon is that the connection is eventually regained by Korra or some later Avatar.

Jonathan centeno

The villains save it wait till book 3 THE VILLAINS

Big Daddy Dre

Talks shit about bolin the entire season and all of a sudden you love his character 😂😂

Chai Tea

Keep in mind, Korra is the ONLY Avatar that has had to face Vaatu or deal with harmonic convergence since Avatar Wan. The last harmonic convergence was 10,000 years ago... 10,000 years of the avatar and not one has dealt with this level of a threat. Korra handled business and had a major L but it’s not like her past lives helped her anyway... (Shoutout to aang for restoring her bending) Aang only listened to Roku, he could care less what Kyoshi or Kurak or Yang chen had to say in book 3. Other Avatars only faced regular ass benders. Korra just defeated THE Dark Spirit Vaatu. The Avatar shouldn’t rely on their past lives for guidance.. Aang was a child and needed Roku’s help in order to fix ROKU’s mistakes!! Korra makes mistakes like every other Avatar, but she still gets the W at the end...

mehmetcan yakut

Man, Jinora comin' down like Jesus in this ep!

Devin B

Jinora literally came in and saved Korra last minute by breaking her out of Vatu's hold and showed her where Rava was. I have to give her the credit for the W.

RamenIsGood

Book 3 is the best season in all of legend of korra.

MrNoor114

Well for jinora, remember that she is a spirit guide for korra and korra was struggling to find Rava in the darkness, so her job was to help guide korra to Rava. At least wat I think.

Oax Al

Jinora gave Kora her W this season, Aang physically saved Kora last season. Nickelodeon fucked over the writers by only giving them a season to wrap her story up, every season. Every season is the same mistakes, trust in Tenzin, fight with Tenzin, trust in bad guy, Kora almost dies and gets saved, W gets handed to her. But damn do I still love how they flush out the world despite their limitations. 🧂😆

Griffin Quinn

The deux ex machina at the end there was a little eye roll, but honestly not any more than Aang getting the Avatar state back by hitting a pointy rock. Imo anyways. Korra isn't the only Avatar to fail either. Aang also failed several times before the final battle; Ba Sing Se, Kyoshi Island getting burned because he wanted the fangirl attention, Stepping away from the Avatar training with Guru Pathik b/c he chose personal connections rather than his duty as the Avatar. I wouldn't really count the Day of Black Sun as a mistake by Aang, def an L but no one knew that The Earth King ran his dumbass mouth to Azula in disguise. Aangs whole growth in the show was around him wanting to run away from being The Avatar at all. Kyoshi created the Dai Li, Kuruk admitted himself he was too carefree and that caused what happened with his wife & Koh, Wan is literally the reason any of this is happening in the first place b/c he freed Vaatu. Every Avatar since then has been trying to make up for the mistakes of their past lives, and their own choices. I'm not saying the writing isn't weaker this season cause it totally is, especially in comparison to the remainder of the show. Growth and interesting character development can't happen without some dumbass shit. Doesn't make it any less dumbass when it's happening to understand that but still. I personally like the Avatar cycle restart aspect & portals being left open to allow spirits back into the world. I think the choice was bold for the creators, I don't enjoy sequel shows/movies as much when they have to lean super hard on the original content. But that's just my preference. I also know Nickelodeon was dicking them around SO much during the entirety of Korras run too, the creators were active on their blogs at the time talking about it.

Ariegch

People are hard on Korra but she already has had to deal with a lot more than Aang. Her enemies and trials are more difficult even if the setting wouldn't suggest that since the world is at "peace"

Sheraya san

Korra has way problems and more world threats than aang ever did. it’s the writing, nickelodeon didn’t give the writers a clear cut of how many seasons they were getting and they were writing season by season which as a whole made the series suffer. hopefully their next installment they can go straight through netflix or something with a clear cut image of the story and how many seasons it’ll take to give it its proper justice and they won’t stray on that. but anyways i’m watching along with y’all so into Book 3 which i hear is really good

Derrick Richard

Always funny to see the parade of comments defending Korra every upload, clearly there's something inherently wrong with the show but too many people are in denial

Rose

Book 3 is the reason why many Korra fans tell you to watch it. It gets better

Malique

Bruh man gave a whole paragraph with periods and all he serious

Jefferson

They will arrive soon👀

Anonymous

It's not denial to defend people, smart guy. Whether the problems are there or not, what we say about korra still isn't by definition, incorrect.

Ian Lurke

After watching these reactions I feel like I like season 2 even less than I did the first time. It was just so slow. And before Wan, what the hell happened? Is there one dope moment?? Roshi is right, the lore was great, but outside of that....nah. Think about the hype after season 1 ended. Now think about this season. Story might've been ok but regardless, execution was lacking. And this whole avatar series (both shows) usually have perfect execution.

Tyler

The next seasons in my opinion are a lot better. The best thing about this season is the Avatar Wan stuff I think

Fano

No third ep :(

Travis

i feel like korra being a bad avatar isn't really her fault, since she was locked up in that camp most of her life she didn't get to have the experience to travel learn and deal with people like an avatar should.

R3APER

Naw Aang reconnecting his chakras on the rock was more coincendental convenience because that injury was exactly what locked him up in the first place. Everything that gets resolved for korra happens via Deus Ex Machina. Just shit that either doesn't make sense or is otherworldly convenient. I love the animation and all but korra is definitely style over substance

R3APER

Korra has more problems because she CAUSES almost all the problems.

The Truth

What? It was literally introducing all of the new characters. Did you forget? Verrick and ju lee, Bumi, Kaya, Korra’s mom and dad, President Riko, Bolin being a mover star, Mako being a detective. You have to understand that all of those episodes make season 3 even better. Season 2 sets up season 3. All of the characters I’ve named play a role in season 3.

Liam D

she freed vaatu so it was her own doing lol. and she def took that L to amon losing her bending. Most of this show is her fucking up and having to fix it/other people fix it.

Unique

Luckily seasons 3 & 4 are much better

Unique

"Gran gran, I've missed you" :') and the way Korra's parents hugged each other

Nicole

Enter the void........

The Truth

All right I need to get this off my chest. A lot of people make it seem like Korra is the Worst, or Korra is a failure that takes a lot of Ls. But how many Avatars faced even close to what Korra has faced? She’s in the age of advanced bending. Blood bending, metal bending. The average bender is a lot better than they every were. Not only that but politics play an even bigger role for Korra than any other Avatar. She’s had to deal with Amon and his chi blockers, a guy who could literally take bending and is a psychic blood bender. The. She had to face the chief of the water tribe who was an elite water bender and spiritual master, who also had help from Spirits. And to make things even worse she had to be the Avatar who deals with Vatuu. You know the guy that was imprisoned for 10,000 years. The day the Avatar came to be, the only real threat to Rava and the Avatar. And she had to be the one to face him. At what? 16? 17? Years old. How long did it take Roku to become a full realized avatar again? And Wan to master of the elements? All I’m saying is cut Korra some slack. Not all wins and Ls are the same. Like easily defeating Ozai in the Avatar state. Didn’t stand a chance. Some have it harder than others. Especially Korra. Don’t get me started on season 3 and 4

LUPASAN

I like this season.......But Korra is a fuckin TERRIBLE AVATAR!!!! Im mad she got the past Avatars destroyed....Yeah?

Yall Might

This shouldve been season 1 and season 1 shoudve been season 4s plot

Tyler

Korra was fucked by circumstance

Tyler

Can't wait for their thoughts on the last scene in season 4

David McMurray

time for koh to expand his collection

Senjioh

And now she is the first Avatar

ZeroText

Now you guys get to watch the good season of korra

Cablemonkey

Season 2’s a wrap. Time to restore balance to the world!

Kross

Well the thing is Korra was supposed to end after1 season but Nickelodeon never let them commit, so it was just season by season.

William Abbott

Damn I was hoping we would start book 3 tonight

FragZone

LMAO Looks like Tenzin's degrees finally did come in clutch after all XDD

Corey Pearson

Why I feel like Lupa wrote the post under the video. Lmao Avatar Roku literally allowed his best friend to start the biggest war in Avatar history where so many lives were lost, including an entire nation but right, Korra took the biggest Ls in Avatar history? Great reactions but that was a stupid ass statement to make. Everyone of course is entitled to their opinions but come on now, why we acting like Aang ain't fucked up a bunch too during season one and two. He only redeemed himself because he ended a war but Korra with help lol stopped 10,000 years of darkness. Give her some credit and put some type of respect on her name.

Corey Pearson

Also, Korra has had pretty much 16 years of being sheltered and has been kept secret from the world in a sense. So, why do people expect her to naturally know how to communicate her emotions in a mature way like she wasn't a teenage female with overprotective parents from her point of view.

S Petersn

Roku showed mercy to Sozin. The 100 year war is Sozin's fault. Korra turned her back on people who cared for her and got manipulated. I see your point but lets be adults and respect others opinions.

Anthony

I’m living for the chaos in these comments. Personally I don’t give a fuck if people like Korra or not. I liked it...I HATE season 2 though. With that said, all that matters is if your guys reactions are entertaining not your OPINIONS

Liam D

Eh this season starts off trash but its still decent. I agree its around a 6 or 7/10. I dislike the destruction of the past lives, but i truly hate the kaiju battle. It’s just so out of place. They kinda wasted the dark avatar thing too. It is what it is though, beginings two parter are some of the best episdoes in the series and theres some great moments in here especially with tenzin.

Heavenly Demonic Emperor

Hahahahahahahaha and that's why everyone hates Korra cause she suck ass and probably the worst Avatar in history lol so she's the Second Gen First Avatar I guess lol

The Truth

You’re retarded. Aang is the Worst Avatar retard. During his time he disappeared for 100 years and because of that Every single Air bender was killed. But you guys want to complain about losing past lives while the entire Air Nation was whipped from existence never happening before. And on top of that He got killed in the Avatar states and ended the Avatar cycle. If it wasn’t for Katara There would never be another avatar. Retard over here trying to say Korra sucks after she faced the only Threat to the Avatars and Ravas existence lmao. A dark spirit that is opposite to the Avatars spirit that was imprisoned on the same day the Avatar came to be. Sit tf down. Being a sheep and copying what others say on top of that thinking that Avatars with no major problems which is most of them are better🤡 straight clown. Acting like it was hard to defeat the weak ass Firelord who didn’t stand a chance against the avatar state

Sheraya san

i’m not mad at this score tbh i don’t think it’s nearly as bad as people make it out to be but def frustrating. i loved korra and mako together by the end of S1 and i couldn’t stand their drama this season. korra is insanely frustrating, they could’ve and should’ve made her so much more likable and had some interesting nuances with her decision making but it was barely there and there was large consequences for her actions. i mean Aang almost lost the reincarnations too when azula struck him with lightning, he technically died, he was just lucky katara was right there to heal him. they’ve said throughout the series in ATLA and LOK that this could potentially happen, so it’s nothing to warrant a “i hate this bitch Korra” from me because she was fighting and giving it her all and she does take accountability so i’ll give her that, i hope that she just learns this time around, well see, excited for S3!!!

The Truth

It also makes a lot of sense for it to happen. Since it’s literally on the same day the Avatar came to be. 10,000 years later. I can’t imagine Roku asking the past Avatars for guidance after he became a realized Avatar. They’re useless to adults. Didn’t even help Aang just said basically the same thing

Dante

I cannot wait till book 3

The Truth

How can anyone consider Korra the Worst after all 4 seasons? She accomplished more as a Avatar than any other based off the Information we’ve been given. All 4 Villains she faced were all a threat to the world and elite benders. No Avatar has even come close to that. She also opened the spirit Portals which allowed Harmonic convergence to happen and brought back the air benders. The purple wave came from the portals. She also brought the Spirits back and created a new Spirit Portal which was a dope scene, the music was fire. Korra is the greatest Avatar without a doubt. Greatness comes from accomplishments. All Aang did was allow the Ocean Spirit to take him over and let the Avatar state defeat the Firelord. Korra is the best. The only one who could take Rava out of Korra is Vatuu. So don’t say a thing about her losing the past lives when She has to be the one to deal with Vatuu, the only one who could do it

Ambros

i mean ya Aang looked better but he also only had to deal with a genocidal firelord which was big but like he didnt have to deal with amon or the most powerful force of darkness in the universe aka Vaata lol

Devin B

Bro I get that you wanna prove that Korra wasn't the worst but could you not spoil it for the people we are literally paying money to react to this show blind. And don't take away from Aang's accomplishments from him just cause Korra dealt with more than him. Korra caused most of her problems including this one.

Nevik

We never saw Aang be an "full" avatar, for the most part. He didn't have to deal with politics, governance and balancing the spirits in the way Korra had to, etc (during the time of the show). He and his friends had a clear mission and went about most of it in relative secrecy, with detours along the way. It was a laser focused goal and a morally easy solution to the problem. Governance and politics is a much harder endeavor. This is besides the fact that Aang would also struggle with each of Korra's main villains (especially the first and third), both physically and ideologically. I'm not even sure how he would have handled the water tribe issue (he is not above being gullible or manipulated). They are both great Avatars. I'm not sure why so many seem incapable of understanding the difference in time and requirements when comparing Korra and Aang. She is not the worst of anything but like a normal person she had struggles to overcome.

allmight_stan

Damn the comments lollll. I agree with Roshi & gang's views but that said if other people liked it, that's fine too, people have different tastes. Korra might not be the worst avatar but I can see why one could feel that way, especially if she was very frustrating to watch for them (and me). What matters is S3 is coming full speed ahead and I think most people will be looking forward to that. Thanks for the reactions guys!!

Eugene Conner

Every Avatar after Korra will remember her as the one that lost the connection to their past lives. She'll be the dunce of the Avatar cycle FOREVER!😂😂😂

Heavenly Demonic Emperor

Bro I don't even know how shit got crazy man all I was saying that its the reason why people don't like Korra that much so I had to jump on Aang bandwagon but I got so into the mess I don't even know what I was saying tho he's right tho but I'm still on Aang bandwagon and nothings gonna change that I still like the series but I don't like Korras character at all for some reason idk 😁😁😁 (if y'all wanna continue... So be it then... Go all out my guy 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️✌🏽) 😁hehe

Chris Hawking

That president sucks so much just like the one we have in America right now

Chris Hawking

It's not an Anime without a Kaiju battle

The Truth

SPOILERS!!!!! Lmao you and them were frustrated because you thought she was doing the Wrong thing with Unalok when she was in the right all along. Opening the portals freed Vatuu but it also brought back the Spirits ANDD!!!! The most important part, how could you forget about this. It brought back the Air benders. Roku and Aangs failure. Did you think it was going to happen if she didn’t open the portals?🤣🤣 the purple wave came from both the portals and engulfed the Earth which brought back Air benders. While everyone seen her as doing the wrong thing. She was right the entire time and felt the good in opening the portals.

The Truth

“I am Avatar Korra, I found out I was the Avatar at 3 years old, while the previous one before me found out at 12 and ran away like a little bitch, then all of the Air benders were whipped out, he was so butthurt about his friends not wanting to play with him that he stayed under water for 100 years. While his friends were turning into burnt toast. But I Avatar Korra decides to open the Spirit Portal that was closed for 10,000 years and I brought back the Spirits you see with you today.(SPOILER!!!)By opening both I also brought back the Air Benders. Avatar Aangs failure. That’s why you see Airbenders in every nation. I also opened a 3rd portal to the Spiritual world and the Earth has become more spiritual than anyone could have possibly imagined. I am the Avatar that’s responsible for all of this happening

The Truth

When you look at animation, bending, intensity, action, sound track. ATLA is not even close

Davon Thomas

Read the Comics aang actually had to deal with the spirits, he actually fought a giant spirit lmao and used his avatar state ability that he used against Sozin.

Davon Thomas

People saying Aang wouldn't be able to hang with Korra's villians. Uh by 12/13 aang had basically full mastery of the elements and achieved complete control of the avatar state. Korra wasn't ever going to be able to enter the avatar state if not for Adult aang freeing her chakras. Let's not forget even when she was in her most danger against amon blood bending the avatar state didn't even trigger. So imagine an Aang at what 18? He wouldn't be that same gullible kid we saw.

Rueben Moses

Book 3 tho it's straight 🔥🔥

HesOneShot

Book 3 its straight gas! Yall gone fuck with it heavy

Justin

Korra not only reset the avatar cycle, but she also combined the spirit of darkness with the avatar spirit from this point on, whenever he awakens inside Raava.

Dylan

They did do korra dirty in this season, i felt like the writers wrote themselves in a corner and had to pull something outta their ass but in all it was an ok season, but if i remember correctly season 3 is 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Misato-San!

Don't know how you can say Korra is the worst when we saw how Roku handled business lol On to the sickest arc of Korra!

Misato-San!

Lotta people spoiling things in the comments above, don't read if you're watching blind

Bobby Manhas

You guys are gonna love book 3. Sickest season of Korra!

Bobby Manhas

Roku handled business exactly how he should've. He kept Sozin in check. His only mistake was dying before Sozin.

thanners

I think we in season 3 we see the benefit of the team knowing they get two seasons to work with, rather than the first two where they didn't know if it would get renewed.

Sting Eucliffe

That’s very debatable. Korra lacked severely in her spiritual side due to her personality. Aang however excelled in the spiritual and was able to tap into the raw power of Avatar State at a young age. Regardless, Korra villains are way more skilled than Ozai. Ozai was stronger due to the Comet which made him an equal threat to Korra Villains. The debate between whether Aang could beat Vaatu is tricky, considering how despite what you said he wasn’t a master of all 4 elements, Toph said he could work on his earthbending right before the season finale, and he barely spent time learning firebending. HOWEVER, he would be able to face Vaatu solely for the fact that he was definitely more spiritually attuned than Korra.

Khalil Huq

All these people hating on Kuruk have never read the Kyoshi novels

Samurai_X_420

Book 3 is probably favorite season of Korra so I think you guys are gonna like it 🤙

Malcolm Washingon

Yo I can't wait to hear y'all when zaheer gets started, one of the most savage groups I've seen in a cartoon

StrawHat

the real mvp Jinora

Jake Disarufino

Book three literally my fav season of korra is say it’s tied for season one of atlab for me just cause it shows the power of my fav element and I love the villains so good

Isaiah Gibbz

I think calling Korra the worst avatar is a little bit of an exaggeration. She been through a lot of stuff and already had to deal with more problems than Aang did. But she gets better the next two seasons in my opinion especially season 3

SalemSan

Season 3 is the best season, imo. Followed by season 4 for me. Idk about Korra being the worst avatar. Roku kind of let the 100 year war start, Aang had to clean up after him, and Korra is patching up the parts Aang didn't have time to fix. It's cool when you remember each season represents a different political theme.

Shaw

WORST AVATAR EVER~!!! lmao. "She got ALL the avatars killed!"

Awkwardz

Hey the portals are open so zuko can go see iroh now which would be so heartwarming

Taliesin Martos

also gotta remember every season of avatar was produced in the mind it was just a one-shot season and the stupid execs of nick didn't think the following would be a die-hard community, so the story always ended open but at the same time tried to finish things.

Kris

I think because Korra bumped her head so much and learns so much by the end of the series that the next Avatar will have a great person to talk to.

Alexa

"meanwhile, korra getting embarrassed in public again" had me in stitches bro holy shit!! it's definitely gonna get better from here tho, I cant wait to see all of your reactions to the next two seasons

AlphaWolf64

Not justifying that Korra was very naive but she was sheltered by the white lotus most of her life from the outside world like outside of the southern water tribe she didn't travel im pretty sure outside of Tenzin all her teachers came to her to train unlike the other avatars who got to travel to there lands i could be some what wrong but i remember her being mad that they kept her away from everything. Like i said this is the best reasoning i can find to justify why Korra was so naive.

Christian

Cosmic Korra I’m done💀

Tea-Spin

I've completely forgot the first half of 2nd season and every time I rewatch it I jump right to Avatar Wan eps. I think it's because it is so bad the first time I watched it that I don't want to watch the first half of it lmao

Ala’a Atari

LOL I'm so childish, every time Sheera laughed about the vagina joke, I laughed hard asf 😂

Isaiah Caston

"The true mind can weather away all the lies and illusions of this world. The true heart can tough the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginningless time, darkness thrives in the void, but ALWAYS YIELDS TO PURIFYING LIGHT" the turtle essentially explains how darkness is combated to aang and it comes full circle in the form of jinora. Her light was so pure during harmonic convergence, Vaatu had no choice but to yield because what is more pure than a child's light? Raava sensed a kindred spirit in the light and was able to be revealed

Isaiah Caston

Also, can we take a moment to appreciate the gravity of the fact that korra willingly accepts the role of avatar after all this? The 10,000 year karmic cycle has come full circle and tbh, the world doesn't really NEED an avatar but Korra takes up the mantal and willingly chooses to go through life as a marked woman. The avatar will always have enemies and she's willingly taking them on (esp in the next book). She started this book with no understanding or appreciation for how delicate the avatar really is and comes out it with a far far deeper understanding of both who SHE is and who she is as the avatar. Korras story is really beautiful if you take off the aang goggles

Isaiah Caston

Also last point. Korra is the last avatar of the age. When she dies, her reincarnation will have no connection to her. They will essentially be the new first avatar. To help with this, Korra has commissioned her friends to help her write a book detailing the avatar path and life lessons and journeys. Everyone, from Asami to Tenzin, has added to this compendium of knowledge. The white lotus will hold onto the book so that the next avatar will always have it

Darian Phidd

Hella late, but didn't Korra basically win, but Bolin and Mako fucked up?

Mugiwara1295

Na he just stopped a 100 year war in 3 months on the day the strongest firebender was at his most powerful(even Iroh said he wasn't sure he could best his brother in a 1v1) and still gave the guy a second chance during the fight just to them take away his bending. Korra was cool Aang was just better

Supplication of Perpetuity

It always bothers me how much people hate on Korra. All of the avatars have had repeated failures in their lifetime. Yangchen neglected the spirits which caused a MASSIVE imbalance, Kuruk was too busy dealing with the spirits and neglected the human world. Kyoshi for the most part settled things however many of her choices in the Earth Kingdom caused the general decline and corruption of the country leading to the suffering of thousands if not millions. Roku was good to a point but is also partly responsible for the Air Nomad genocide and the 100 year war. Aang is responsible for the thousands and thousands of deaths caused by the 100 year war. He is also responsible for the death of his people (While it may seem unfair to blame him for this, he WAS the Avatar during that time and it was his responsibility to protect them.) Korra while she lost the connection to the past lives, restored the air nation. Kyoshi helped bring equality, Aang ended a war, and so on. Each Avatar has their failures and their successes. So to constantly hate on Korra is narrowminded.

This is my favorite season I get a homey feeling from watching it :) I like the setting probly because I really like snow and we get more storytelling

Love your comment, cause I think you have a point! But I wanted to respond. in all fairness, a lot of the points you brought up were not know at the time Korra was aired, we don't know what the masses would think because the only fan that read the novels and now know what some of those past avatars did are not the same fan base that hated on Korra. And no offense but personally the Aang point I've never liked because he was a child realistically even if he was there he would not have been able to prevent much, don't think that equates to Korra having the support group she has and the maturity age she physically is. My thing with Korra is that unlike many other avatars she to me has had a bigger support system (being raised by white loti for years, being given time, and not growing up in as harsh environment as many of the past avatars except maybe Roku) so with these things going for her I give her less breaks (I know this is a bit unfair). To me, she makes the struggles she finds herself in even worse because of her pride, arrogance, and want to throw the name of the Avatar around. I understand that is just the personality that the writers decided to give her but I think this is a valid reason why people have the hate for the character of Korra (I think people who say they don't understand just refuse to see her personality issues)? But yes everyone does have struggles they face and it's up to the individual at the time to deal with the problems as they see fit and I do think Korra gets more hate than she deserves AT TIMES.

Phonic Reassignment

Everyone complains about her connection being lost but time is not Erased so all her past lives exist. Ergo the tree can bridge the gap of what was lost. So I’m sure korra or the next after can get the past lives back by visiting and meditating at that tree or the tree in the swamp which I thing share roots.

SunXBreathing

Actually it’s not the same thing as Aang, as you see giant Korra is the sky eye’s aren’t glowing since she doesn’t have Raava. That’s Korra using her own power, alone, and the cosmic energy of the universe or whatever to bring out her own spirit to defeat Vaatu.

*Next Avatar contacts past lives* *Only Korra shows up* Next Avatar: "Nah fam, I'd rather die"

Blazing_Phoenix 6

just gotta say that it makes sense what ganora did. Korra reached inside of vatuu only to be told raava wasnt there, but she had to have remembered or else why would she try looking in there? Ganora just gave her the exact location and allowed Korra to grab Raava's spirit out of Vatuu.

LosSpark

The Avatar Chronicles proves that the Avatar after Korra can't talk to their past Avatars either. That's why Korra has to leave notes for the next reincarnation.

DabnDab

Lol this is the reason why a lotta people hate korra the last 2 eps. But regardless love the avatar world

Mikaele Rosecrans

Lupa don’t worry I was thinking of Avatar too 🤣💀🗿

ChaosVesperia

>Idk why but I feel like Korra's performance as the Avatar is possibly the worst in Avatar history I dunno, I think the avatar who did basically nothing and had his girlfriend's face stolen by that one spirit did worse. At least Korra actually achieved things, like save republic city from Amon, and the entire world here.

Devon Joseph

Yeah but think of it like this. The worse that happened was his GF's face getting stolen. Season 1: Korra was continuously baited by Amon and his brother into a Bender/ Non Bender feud. Almost lost all of her bending as well as hundreds of benders. Season 2: In six months that escalated completely to almost letting 10,000 years of darkness. I think if Korra just chilled out for like a good year alot of things wouldn't have happened since she had a hand it alot of things going wrong.

WindShinobi590

Unless we ever get fully fleshed out stories for the avatars that came before Aang and Korra, I don't think it's fair to say she's the worst avatar ever lol. I feel like there's no way the avatars before them (or most of them at least) have had to face problems on anywhere near as large a scale as them. I don't think most of them even finished their training before they were grown adults. So I'm not very convinced they would've handled these problems much better than she did, especially if they had to deal with them at her age.

Yanpo

Everybody is under the impression that the next Avatar will only have a 16 year old Korra to talk to. Regardless, the best advice doesn't come from past lives. Only good info they provide are their history lessons, and thanks to Korra, you can get that from any spirit including Raava.

rickie woodson

nah. this season is 9/10. 2 and 3 are the best seasons, gotta rewatch season 3 to see which i like more but they are pretty much neck and neck for me and im a hard core water bender lover and lore/history lover so season 2 is JUST FOR MEEEEEEEEEE
