I think everyone is being to hard on Korra as an Avatar! Anag had a way different journey to face then Korra!! Every Avatars journey is differnt. Anag had his path laid out from the start, he need to master the elements and stop the fire nation to bring balance. He was in a different era. Anag never wanted to be the Avatar Korra always want to the avatar, but remember she was kept protect her hole life, so her journey as the avatar you get to see, being an all powerful Avatar is not a easy job. Korra is in a different era, Korra had to deal with a political issues, and had deal with is the avatar still needed. All things she thought was correct had consqences. Some of the consequences were for the better of the world and some was not!! But go read the books no Avatar had it is easy!! Korra is a good follow up show in my opinion!! Korra is a good avatar!

Even when Varrick was a bad guy in season 2 it was still hard to hate him. He really grew as one of my favorites from this show.

He was paying attention to Varrick making everything, including the bomb. If you listen to him talking to Varrick last episode, he's asking why is the energy set up to flow back into itself, and more or less explaining why it ended up being a bomb lol
