Korra was believed to be unstoppable by all of the people in that world because she defeated powerful foes. She freed republic city from Amon and stop 10,000 years of darkness while summoning a huge spirit of herself to do it. Everyone saw her fight vatuu and how she defeated Amon so of course they think she’s unstoppable with the amazing things she accomplished. You guys just let unreasonable hate cloud your judgement of her.

I don’t think Korra is necessarily a bad avatar , she doesn’t deserve all of the hate she’s getting but I do think Aang was a better avatar just because he had a sense of humor

It actually made perfect sense that Zaheer was the one to help her. Many times in shows victims of trauma only are able to move on after facing the person who caused their trauma. But its badass of Zaheer to not hold grudges and help her because they both know Kuvira needs to go down. And damn it Lupa it wasnt a pep talk, we know that no one can bend in the spirit world because her body wasn't with her, but Raava showed her she can bend energy there. Now I hereby command a cease fire on Korra hate now that she's finally back.

This episode has always been so interesting to me with Zaheer. If things were different and he were Korra's mentor while she was growing up, I feel like he could have led her to great feats.

For real. This season has been really mature in the way it portrays someone struggling with the lingering effect's of physical and mental trauma, and it's sad that that's been met week after week with laughter and calling her trash. If there's one thing I wish Avatar had done more was show that level of trauma with Aang. Outside of a few episodes, he barely seems to feel anything for the loss of his entire culture.

Lupa is a damn clown and not in a good way at times. I'm sorry but he tries so hard to be funny, overtalking through scenes and missing shit. I mean the reactions are great but he is hella annoying at times. smh Korra has ptsd, and I get this group makes dark jokes all the time and that's cool but Lupa will drag it on and on for no damn reason. Plus it's even more annoying to constantly act like Korra didn't play a major role in stopping all of her past villains, help or not.

i think Lupa's "all you needed was a pep talk?" comment is why a lot of Korra's journey doesnt resonate with me when it should. When you just think about what she's been through its very powerful, but the way it plays out always seems very paint by numbers -- convenient for what the writers want to happen (korra saying things and making choices that on the surface make sense), but never seeming to come from a place of emotional merit. So it makes logical sense why she says and does things, but imo never makes "emotional" sense? idk

If you think about it, Zaheer helping Korra makes sense. Not only because of the time that has past for him to reflect, but the fact that he thought his path was a righteous one (As he states in season 3) because he became an Air Bender. So when Korra, despite having the poison that was supposed to kill her lives, that would've showed him that maybe he was mistaken. As he said, in the end he realised that she had limitless power (indicating to me that he finally understands that ONLY the Avatar has the power to bring the change he wanted)

Idk if anyone has said this but during the scene where Korra and Zaheer were talking, the voice actor for Zaheer, Henry Rollins stood in a dark corner while speaking and it made the voice actress for Korra actually scared.
