also they didn’t blow up the city the only thing that was leveled in the crater was the park in the center. and yes the portal in the middle of town was the best thing that could’ve happened because the two worlds used to be so connected and now they can get back to a harmony with each other

Grimm

I'm late to the party but I know the writers was working on fumes because Nickelodeon only wanted to do 1 season and ask them to do another season only to finally get told that they can get 2 more seasons. Which is why I can give Korra some slack but still I just really hated they made her lose all the past Avatars and nothing was gained besides the return of Airbenders and making another portal to the spirit world. That said Season 3 was by far the best season. Season 1 was good, Season 4 was ok and Season 2 was only good for the flashback of Avatar Wan

Kyoshi Thee Stallion

New subscriber here. I have enjoyed rewatching ATLA and LOK with y’all so much. Such a great balance of funniness and insight within your reactions.

Z King

Korra's talk no jutsu was hard to sit through because Kuvira is evil

Z King

"WHERE'S THE CITY?" Had me dying laughing because I'm thinking the same thing 🤣 😂 💀

Kevin Kovacs

I mean if you guys want more avatar then buy the comics... that's all I can say 😅

CRuEL_WOrlD

Btw Korra nd Asami were supposed to kiss at the end but nickelodeon was like nah we cant show 2 GIRLS KISSING🤦🏼‍♂️

Gameguy1128

Crazy how the final Korra/Asami shot mirrors the final Aang/Katara shot from Atla. Nice touch.

AlmightyChubbs

I enjoyed watching y’all react to Avatar and Korra 🔥 but I can’t believe y’all are already finished with the whole series 😖

Narutofreak94

Glad that you enjoyed it. It's amazing. So what's next 👀

CRuEL_WOrlD

First thing said in ATLA was “it’s” Last thing said in LoK was “perfect” I think that pretty much sums up both series tbh

jac jacob israel

Well Netflix would like to fix your wanting more avatar or if you want you can watch the Mov....... Oh never mind I just remembered there's no movie for avatar unless you count the one with blue people.

Rose

Ok onto the avatar live action reaction

godUsoland

It's been a hell of a ride! I personally prefer Korra over Aang when it comes to Avatars. Also,*unpopular opinion* Korrasami made much more sense to me than Kataang. They've been laying the groundworks since Season 3, and people have made charts showing all the moments that led to it being organic. Could have done with more fleshing out of Kuvira, among other things, but it was a good show. If only Nick didn't screw Korra so much, this show would be even more epic. Check out the comics if you have the time!

Danny

great journney at its end. another one will start soon. will you guys be starting the winner of the poll this week to replace korra or next week?

Mers0n

What's happening with Parasyte? Legitimately don't know what day it's posted.

Devin B

Lol they could show someone being suffocated to death but this is where they draw the line

Inmate_I

they said they'd post it along with the finale of korra so sometime today

Benny T

I am surprised yall didn't mention how Mako turn these two beautiful women off men...

Drakuse

Question, when did she kill hundreds of people? I genuinely don’t remember seeing that. I know she captured the city but they said the evacuation was complete

damein brown

Remember, Korra was keep away from the world for 16 years and wanted to be the Avatar vs. Anag never want to be the Avatar. She had to struggle to understand what it takes to be the Avatar. Be she did get her butt kick a lot lol. Avatar Kyoshi had a rough start and took some L's on here journey

damein brown

Korra has graphic novels to explain her and Asmi new further relationship

Ghost

If naruto can rebuild there village it’s not gonna be hard for hella earth and metal benders to rebuild if y’all would listen they said there gonna rebuild it tm

Jordan Odle

Just my two cents in why Korra failed so much is because her journey was more about what do you do when you fail over and over again. What do you do if you win but parts of you get sacrificed? One thing I compared ATLA and LOK is what were the consequences between aang and korra. Aang left allowing the fire lord to kill all of his people and allow 100 years of bloodshed while korra had to endure the punishment for her action with herself rarely did others get hurt/die for her actions. Aang failed once but had 3 seasons to fix it korra keeps failing each season but fixes it at the cost of herself each season and all were threats that could have destroyed Ozai. Also the avatar is a title doesn’t mean much is a point they were trying to get across because at the end of the day they are just one person that is being demanded to make decisions that will affect the world hoping that they will not becoming a tyrant like everyone else despite them pretty much being like everyone else

Jordan Odle

Really glad you guys enjoyed the show and made it funnier with your commentary/reaction can’t wait for what comes next and continue what your doing because so far it is pretty great

Hoodlum JoeBro

Korra will go down as one of the better sequel shows out there. It does falter from time to time but it’s able to stand on its own as a completely separate story from Aang. And only having seen book 4 once, I actually like it more this time around. But man, y’all should’ve seen the fandom when the show ended. The discussions were real lol Had fun seeing the reactions, sad it’s over but on to new things!!!

Jaeboleann

Ok bit where is parasyte tho

CRuEL_WOrlD

U guys miss the part when Tenzin says “korra has changed the world more in few years than most Avatars do there lifetime”, gotta appreciate my girl for all the gud shes done nd my guess for why did Korra lose or get her butt kicked most of the time is coz they always made sure to give her a handicap against the main villain to make it a fair fight. For eg, she had poison in her while fighting Zaheer, she didn’t knw how to use the avatar state when fighting Amon, Vaton nd the other final water bender villain teamed up on her nd the mercury affected her brain nd body in her fight wit Kuvira.

EndeavorxGoat

Y’all also have to understand that the villains in korra are much stronger and smarter😭😭

alexander rios

Im sure that her whole regime murdered tons of people since she had no problem killing the whole air bender family.

Jordan Odle

Oh sorry about this but i wanted to point out that kuvira and Zaheer are the embodiments of the joke you guys have been making of why doesn’t the avatar just clap people if they don’t listen to her or get her way. It is because korra or some other avatar might have actually turned out like this which anything that happens after is really messed up

Rose

Read the comics next. They showed more Korrasami but i didn’t like the way they handled kuvira’s arc

Kevin

Ah yes, the show is from a time where companies did not want to show 2 girls kissing. Thats why its vague, read the comics for more infos.

Haaa?

Korra and asami were confirmed to be in a relationship. Just couldnt put it on tv cause homophobia lmao

Anonymous

I would really enjoy seeing them react to the movie, but I guess it's up to them if they want to go through that or not.

Josiah

I would give LOK an overall 8/10 and ATLA an 10/10. Idk why people hate on this show. I could really go into detail on what I really enjoy about this show but that's a lot of typing lol. Just know Korra had great villains, supporting characters, and good characters development for Korra. And that Korra villains would beat Aang and Korra would beat Aang from ATLA 😂 but the comic version idk

Xavier Ruffin

I would say Korra Villains were overall stronger

Skebaba

Remember that Vaatu was the one who found a way to cross from the Spirit World into the normal one, and he shoots those purple beams? Probably that's how he figured it out, you think?

Anonymous

how come you didn't like the way they handled it? I'm kind of neutral but I'm curious to hear why.

Ian Lurke

How do you say this last season was not Korra's fault at all, but Kuvira rose to power BECAUSE the avatar was gone? She gets the most blame for this because she wasn't doing her job lol. Thank you guys for these reactions! Great time watching all of this. #Trashatar (hahaha sorry that is still funny)

SlayerStarX

If you guys want more Avatar content then i'll recommend checking out the Avatar comics next if you guys haven't read them yet. ATLA and korra. There is also a kyoshi novel series that you guys might want to take a look at since you guys seem to like how kyoshi handle shit XD

Norrin Radd

Korrasami was endgame. I don't think Nick could've had a lesbian kiss.

Cristina

i loved watching you guys watch korra! she's a lot but what can you expect from a teenager. the first 3 books take place over the course of about 14 months when Korra's roughly 17/18 years old and then book 4 is 3 years later when she's 20/21. I agree with Sheera, Korra had to learn how to be more like Aang over the course of her show and she needed to get folded to be a more humble person. Also, I can't believe you guys didn't pick up on the tony stark/pepper potts vibes varrick and zhu li had the entire series. Please consider doing a 'best react moments' compilation video of atla and korra; you guys had some hilarious moments!

GoldenBoy

I think they did thought of killing Mako in that scene but then thought of how the Fans would react to that. I mean killing a member of Team Avatar that's been with us for 3 seasons that we came to love and know would break people so I could see why they didn't

SlayerStarX

The world survived a 100 years without one so 3 years ain't shit. Also korra was obviously recovering in that time. That's literally expecting somebody to come to work knowing they aren't the best condition to do their job. Why force them

Brady

Itching for more Avatar content? A reaction to The Last Airbender movie would be hilarious

A.R.R

Honestly the first time and this time still, I wasn't mad about Korra letting Kuvira live, same thing pretty much happened with Aang and Ozai. You gotta remember that this is an American cartoon not an anime. They almost never ever just kill a villain in cartoons here, they either get warped away to some other dimension or something that just gets them out of the way or get put in jail.

A.R.R

Lol well they could still be bisexual. Might not be off all men, just Mako.

Anonymous

Despite what everyone says about Korra I still love her. ATLA has a special place in my heart but there were some things I liked more in Korra

Nicholas Cheatham

Idc what people assume that finale was just them being friends anyone who's says that hate this show cause korra turned gay is dumb af they're just friends

Chris Royer

A big part of why Korra lost so much was explained in the end here. She was so aggressive, and violent, and hateful. Which is something everyone clowned her for, being too different from Aang. But that led to her getting humbled, again and again. Until her suffering finally led to her growing more compassionate, and finally she was able to decisively defeat a villain without becoming hateful. She spared Kuvira, then even SAVED Kuvira. She became more like Aang in a way, but that was only possibly by having her stubborn ass forcibly taught a lesson. And a lot of people can only learn that way. I really appreciate Korra for that. Plus her villains tended to be WAY more nasty than Ozai, so... yeah let's be fair, Aang was on Easy mode compared to Korra lol.

None None

I completely forgot about Korra getting hit in the face with the brick. It's like the writers knew Korra turned up too much in that last fight and they needed to make her look like a fool to balance it out.

Dune

The creators confirmed that korra and asami and ended up dating.

Zac Mccaskill

Aang being on easy mode is debatable, he had to learn the elements and the Avatar state in under a year. Then take on the most powerful fire bender during sozin's comet. Korra getting rolled as much as she did is kind of inexcusable when she was a full master in 3 elements.

Devin B

Literally the first 2 villains in this show got killed. Amon died in a boat explosion with his brother and Unalaq fused with Vaatu died in the end of book 2.

Daniel Robb

Avatar isnt a shonen, Korra doesnt need to be the strongest. I think the show was made a lot better because of Korra's character.

L.C.

Where is rezero and parasyte?

Brady

One reason why I like Korra more is it has much more rewatch value compared to ATLA. I've watched this show so many times now because there is no filler/boring moments. When I've tried to go back and watch ATLA recently, it just isn't as exciting and feels too slow-paced (especially book 1).

Jeremy Estrella 🇩🇴

Now you know why nickelodeon move the show to online only after book2. The killing and Korra hooking up with Asami.

EA

Does anyone know if re zero is still on Tuesdays?

Jaeboleann

Are we not getting parasyte orrrr

Joshua Burns

All I’m saying is you can link everything from book 2 to book 4 villains to what korra has done, first with leaving the spirit portals open which led to the rebirth of which then introduced the next opponent who kills the earth queen, which leads to our last villain who was trying to rule over the earth kingdom 🤷🏿‍♂️

L.C.

Don't care about this where is rezero and parasyte

IzzyG

I always liked the journey of Korra's character through the show. Haven't watched since its airing but seeing it again through your reaction with her character becoming in tune with her spiritual side, learning to be more humble and compassionate was very satisfying. Sad it's over.

Bona Fide

Amazing run. I wish they showed them kissing but alas. You guys provided top tier reactions throughout! Loved it and the series. Is it weird that I kinda want a 3rd avatar series added? Idk I just like watching the different avatar and their stories.

Anonymous

She didn't kill hundreds of people remember guys the city was evacuated. Its fine if you dont think Kuvira is redeemable, but don't blame that on korra. She beat her ass, and bent physical spirit energy which we haven't seen any avatar do. Not enough korra appreciation this show but its whatever.

Deiondre0

That final scene was such a "Wait, wtf?" moment to me. That is until you rewatch the series and realize they've been dropping hints since Season 3

Anonymous

Loved y'alls reactions to both the series. It is confirmed that her and Asami end up in a relationship. Still enjoying your FMA:B watch.

Danisha McNary

Lot of struggles with nick and the creators of the show. Still happy with what we got though

Therion

Did you noticed the characters playing in the band at the wedding? There is Tahno (the pro-bender from season 1 who lost his bending to Amon). And also the mustache-duo (former detectives who were making fun of Mako, until they got sacked by Lin).

Unique

omg 105 comments already? Whew the level of engagement for this show >>>

Christopher X. Morse

You guys need to read the comics and the two Kyoshi books. Some more fantastic Avatar universe content out there!

Therion

Hey guys, seriously, I wanna thank you for your passionate reactions! It was the best Korra rewatch I could wish for! Definitely worth my money : ) Also, please, do reactions to ATLA and LOK comic books! I would definitely stick around to watch you read them ; ) They're funny and dignified continuations of the stories we all love...

Therion

Yea! The comics are great and the novels are fraking awesome!! I think they would really like how Kyoshi deals with things : )

SakuraBlossom

PLEASE REACT TO THE LAST AIRBENDER MOVIE!

Therion

Watch some Korrasami reactions on YT. People were so crazy about it back then.. I mean put it into the context. It was aired in 2014 on a cartoon network. (Well sort of, some episodes were only released online. It was a mess..) Korra kinda opened the door for more LGBTQ representation in children's media..

Sting Eucliffe

You guys should start reading the comics on your own time. Theres a lot for ATLA and a some for LOK. One of the LOK one really shows the parallel between Kuvira and Korra, and kinda helps "redeem" her.

Joneus

Loved the reactions :) But Lupa's saltiness was a little... much at times lol like I'm sure Aang would have loved a spirit portal in the center of RC even if it cost some of the city being destroyed since the buildings can just be rebuilt. Though to be fair the effects of the ruined infrastructure from Kuvira's attack is part of the next comic so I see the point. But yeah thanks for the reactions you guys!

Unique

Korra saving Kuvira was such an act of selflessness and speaks to her growth, she sees the good in all people. Poor Naga was practically MIA the whole season. Shoutout to Sheera for the legendary Sailor Moon sweater.

JDM2@

if i was suprised at anything, it may have been that it seemed like people were less willing to let her make mistakes than they were with Aang

Apri

I’ve been reading the second kyroshi book and after learning more about this world’s history and mentions of past avatars I can understand korra more. Every avatar mentioned as made mistakes, from szeto (he spent most of his attention on the fire nation) to Korra. I had to put the book down at one point because kyroshi was getting on my nerves.

Killjoy

In all honesty i think that Aang would have welcomed the spirit portal in republic city. as both the avatar and an Air Nomad he was always in tuned with the spirits. I love this ending a lot because it showed how each villain Korra faced gained a win. By the end of the series benders and non benders lived together in peace-Amon. The spirits live together in harmony and republic city is now one of the most spiritual places in the world with the spirit vines, the spirit portals, and the spirits themselves all in the same area-Unalq. As Wu said he got rid of the monarchy of the earth kingdom turning it into a democracy so that the people play a role in governing their respective states-Zaheer(since he said he doesn't believe in kings, queens or oppressive governments. From that decision the earth kingdom would be whole again-Kuvira. As for Korra i actually prefer her character over Aang to see how she was from the beginning to how she turned out now, and to see her constantly go through those struggles and get back up even if it takes time. I think what hindered korra not as a character but as a person was the fact that she was secluded in the southern water tribe all her life to train where as the avatar typically traveled the world seeing different cultures and meeting different people which helps formulates their opinion on the world and themselves as a person. in korra's case she went from being forced in solitude to going to what is basically the equivalent of New York. and i find that each of korra's villains also broke her in a unique way. Amon broke her emotionally by giving her that fear of losing her bending, Unalaq broke her spiritually by taking way the past avatars, and Zaheer put the icing on the cake by breaking her physically, by crippling her from the poison. which makes the first half of season 4 so good because it shows korra overcoming all of those obstacles in her path. There is more i'd like to say but this is already to damn long. I'm glad you all enjoyed the show and i was happy to rewatched it along with you, though it may not be as great as ATLA i'd say it was a solid follow up given the circumstances.

IzzyG

Yeah, I remember immediately hopping online to see reactions after that final scene with Korra and Asami. Unlike the guys in these reaction I had no clue or inkling that Korra and Asami might be a thing together lol Like the scene with them where Mako is awkward I thought "Wow it's so nice Korra and Asami are such good friends" but as they walked together towards the portal it was a lightbulb moment where I stood up thinking back at how she was the only one Korra sent letters to. Really ahead of their time for sure.

Jonte Pendleton

Love the reaction videos that you guys do, can’t wait for what’s next, take care y’all.

Corey Pearson

lmao why did this caught me off guard. lol Legit though they Korra's power has lowkey been OP when she's at the top of her game so they definitely come up with stupid shit to balance it out.

Corey Pearson

Overall, I give their reactions to this series like a 7.5/10 lol. Nah seriously though, great reactions for the most part. The final conversation between Korra and Tenzin would of meant something if Lupa wasn't talking so dang much about a city he said he was okay with being destroyed at first. lol If we being realistic though, the city got off easy considering an entire war took place in it and every citizen not engaged in battle lived so that's an ultimate win. I'm excited to see what they react to next based on the shows that were in the lead for the voting poll.

Alexa

had fun with these reactions. sheera's theories were my favorite to listen to lol

Anonymous

I wanted to see more direct wins from korra too, but I agree that avatar isn’t shounen, and a lot of people here, including roshi and lupa have that shounen mc mindset.

MrNoor114

Yes, the 2 girls that Mako dated are now gay for each other lol.

Antonia Moore

I think I'll always be upset that the connection to the past Avatars is forever broken, that just really sucks. Korra dies and the next Avatar is born, when they need help and guidance it's just going to be her like yeah I'm kinda the only one now. Feel bad for them 🤷‍♀️(the next one will be an earth bender, that would've been cool to see)

Venom9518

No more Toph feet. kinda sad

jeremy

lol yes... they were together at the end. it was confirmed after the ending aired

Ian Lurke

Well said. It is very solid given the circumstances. Alot of people don't realize behind the scenes how it wasn't meant to go as long as it did. The issues with the studio. Cancelation and other things. Keeping all of that in mind, the show is put together almost perfectly.

Larry Vos

I love y'alls assessment of the show. I agree. This show was all very much centered in Republic City and it's a shame they never showed how the other nations developed. LoK had good parts and weak parts. It's certainly a weaker series than ATLA by FAR! But I appreciated the fact that each season we got to see a different bending villain. The first season, yeah Amon turned out to be a blood bender and I frankly hated that twist because they just created a bending style that was so OP that it was ridiculous. Literally cannot be countered by anyone except a fully realized avatar. Even if his water bending is trash, it wouldn't matter. Ozai would've been less of a threat to Amon than he was to fucking Aang. Also I thought the anti-bending movement was such a great concept and then they just retconned it! And Korra herself never came back to address what could be very real concerns about discrimination against non-benders. It kinda killed season 1 for me. And S2, Korra was infuriating but we got to see a water bending villain who had very consistent water tribe goals. He was a villain trying to bring about change and adapt, like a water bender would. In S3, our air bending villain was very philosophically minded and wanted people to be free of the chains that bound them, consistent with air bending teachings but taken too far and distorted. In S4, we get an earth bending villain who is stubborn and unwavering in her resolve, like a true earth bender. So overall, Korra was a solid show for me but nowhere near the masterpiece of the original series. The characters never fully developed as it was so much more plot centric and the world building was weaker. It was just like a nice little separate add on that I appreciated.

Faiz Khan

they kiss in the comic btw so its confirmed they gay

Ellis hayes

Dont confuse Korra being a trash avatar, with legend of korra series being trash. LOG is a great series.

Aiden Snew

they show the fully Korra and Asami kiss at the end in the comic, nickelodeon didnt want them to air the kiss and once they knew they where gonna have Kora end up with Asami they took legend or Korra off tv and made it online access only half way through airing book 3. thats why everyone was hype to hear Netflix bought the rights but then they fucked it up too. avatar as a franchise just gets no justice.

A.R.R

Aang came first so a lot of people are gonna compare, which is natural tbh. Plus unless they rewatched atla recently they mostly remember the awesome moments from the show and not moments where the gaang ran away or got hurt or yelled at each other for misunderstandings just like in Korra. I feel like if another season of the show came out that avatar would be compared to Korra and Aang as well and then maybe that one would start getting hate.

D DuB

It’s lit

D DuB

Lmfaoooo Cry some more Korra fan girl. Think you missed some of the left over sand in your vagina.

Dimitri

Who else wants to see the ending scene remade as a sketch with Lupa and Roshi?

Jaeboleann

Bruh are y’all not gonna watch parasyte or what

L.C.

Where the fuck is parasyte and rezero????

Tyler

I want parasyte. I feel like its that show that most have seen and agree its good. But is never talked about

Eric Ballard

Korra was so cocky she needed to be humbled by all her villains to teach her new lessons

Anonymous

Aang’s story was a human learning to be an avatar and Korra’s was an avatar learning to be human

Tyler Seder

Yes, Korra and Asami are dating by the last episode

John K

Yeah, they kinda squeezed the whole KorraSami thing into the last season, I remember facepalming myself at the ending of season 4, thinking to myself like "Really? Nickelodeon bent their knee to fanfics?" That whole relationship barely had any build up.

Denickart

You could always check out Dragon Prince. It's written by the main writer of ATLA who didn't work on Korra.

YaBoyRoshi

relax lol, yall will always get the shows promised weekly even if theres a delay so no worries!

Anonymous

lol’ing at people saying Korra > Aang

Jjj.

the comics are great. Some of them are actually pretty amazing. But the books though, the kyoshi books are fucking legendary. its so raw, they explore all ofthe possibilities of the avatar universe... like, all of them. I recommend them a lot.

D DuB

lmfaoooooo the Korra fan girls are just upset Lupa made fun of their favorite super hero the whole series. Maybe once they dig the sand out of their vagina they'll realize Aang > Korra x1000.

MisRule

Nick was gonna let them kiss and be openly gay back them so they had to be hella low-key but it was a BIG deal at the time. And I just wish she destroyed somebody ONCE, just 1 fucking time while in the Avatar state. Aang lost some and ran away alot but we saw him go off too. Korra never did. She kinda beat Zaheer but if the airbenders weren't there he could of flown off. It's like she only won with help. Maybe that was the point but boooo.

Caomhan84

This show is so frustrating in the end. I LOVE what they did with the setting and the worldbuilding. That's my favorite part of the show. In that way, I like it more than ATLA. And I did like Korra….at first. But starting in season 2, they made Korra really unlikeable....and yes, she failed at everything. Which makes me wonder why in the heck it's called the "legend" of Korra. What the heck does she even do that's legendary? She opens the spirit portals and that's it. I guess. But anyway, the setting and the secondary characters save this show.

Infierno23

Rewatching this made me realize something, no matter what you think of the humans, spirits ain't worth shit. They appear after the fight is over like they happy about what happened, but that was such an unexpected turn of event you know damn well they full of shit.

Infierno23

Damn, I really would've like young justice after this, having a bit of american cartoons with the anime was kinda interesting

Jason

i think you didnt got the message, why they didnt help

ZedW

Nickelodeon didn't bend their knee to anything. The reason it seems so out of the blue the first watch through is because Nickelodeon didn't WANT it to be overt. They didn't want to portray a homosexual relationship at all. So it had to be hinted at in the background and then the last scene. It barely had any build up intentionally by the studio.

Philly The Kid

Sad that the reactions are over. Good times.. Anyway, imo, season 3 is the best this show had to offer. While the final season had some good moments I just left the show disappointed. Not even on some Asami x Korra shit but just on how the story wrapped up. It just didn't feel as impactful as atla. It is what it is. I don't hate the show like a lot of Avatar fans but I'm definitely never going to defend Korra like people be doing in these comments sections. Watching an overconfident Avatar take massive Ls to learn lessons the way she did just got annoying after a while. Aang took his fair share of Ls but this girl was just dragged through the mud. Ugh..

Lively Nili

I feel like Korra getting her ass beat constantly kind of made sense in terms of the setting. The world she lives in is very familiar with the Avatar, including their power and skill. Aangs world hadn't seen one in 100 years especially an Airbender because they were wiped out, so you wouldn't see Aang take as much L's because no one really knew how to fight him. Story wise, I always saw Aangs journey as a Human becoming the Avatar, whilst Korra's is the Avatar becoming Human. So it makes sense that Korra endures as much as she does. She lives in a world that because of the advancement of technology and the familiarity of the Avatar, they see no place for one at all. In a world like that, even Aang would need the amount of help that she got. And she is only a teenager for the first 3 seasons of the show. Also the show doesn't really explain it but at the end with the spirit vine canon Korra was bending its energy, hence why theres a giant spirit portal. Just shows how powerful an Avatar can be (which is why Kuvira gave up and admitted that Korra was beyond what she could attain in power)

motashred

Right, but in ATLA aang almost always relied on roku for guidance except for like two episodes when he called kyoshi (which didn’t work out well lol) and before the final ep. so I don’t think the next avatar would need anyone else

Dierane

Korrasami is canon! This was back before gay marriage was legal, and it was the first childrens cartoon show to ever even hint at a same sex couple. They go futher into it in the comics. This show, despite all its flaws changed my life. Seeing a MC thats brown, bi, and so very human on TV was amazing. Ill always love ATLA but Korra holds a special place in my heart for giving me representation and showing child me that its okay to be imperfect. Her mental health struggles and the lessons she learned still resonate with me to this day.

Ace Overton

I believe that Korra is the superior of the two. Aang honestly had a much easier life, with simpler goals that Korra, who had to deal with big time villains every step of the way. The Red Lotus would have beat the breaks off of Aang if you switch him and Korra, and Korra would have washed Ozai, Zuko, etc

Yr

Love TLOK but I do agree I would’ve loved to see her win a bit more. However I loved her growth & the way she actually learned from her enemies. Like the way she decided to keep the portals open which led to balance being restored, or going back to talk to zaheer even though he’s responsible for her trauma. We also have to remember that she was locked up all her life so her being naive kind of made sense. With the era + technology + great villains she really had a lot against her but I like that y’all pointed out how much other characters got to shine by helping her. Anyway I really enjoyed your reactions for both series!

William Abbott

A rewatch of Avatar might sound weird but I'd be down for it, or maybe a live action series like The Boys.

Yarrie

Rewatch Avatar 🥰

Rhodur

i was spoiled on the ending where they go into the portal before i watched it, and id actually say that pre-armed with that knowledge you probably pick up on ALOT more subtle hints to it that otherwise may blindside you.

Benji Schulman

Lol ya'll reaction to the ending with Korra and Asami KILLED me

Isaiah Caston

Thank you! Someone gets it. Being human is taking loses, what you do with those loses defines you and korra ALWAYS got back up

Isaiah Caston

How quickly we forget that aang spared ozai

Isaiah Caston

Korra didn't destroy republic city, Kuvira did. Korra stopped the blast, redirected it and then created a spirit portal. Republic city is now one of the most spiritual places in their world, Aang would've been proud. Destruction isn't an end, it's a beginning. You burn away the dead trees to being about new growth, Republic city had been stagnant for years before Korra arrived

Isaiah Caston

The privilege of being straight means you don't have to look through a series with a fine toothed comb to find representation. Korra and Asami have been growing their relationship since season 2. Asami becomes Korras sole confidant after she's injured, she blushes when Asami compliments her, it's there if you look hard enough and the og Korrasami shippers reaction prove it.

LK

Ye Asami and Korra got togehter. Sadly the creators couldn't show them being full on together bc of Nickelodeon and it's homophobic censoring hammer. Im not sure how true this is but the creators had to fight to just to have female main character in this show! That's Nickelodeon for ya... : (

Ala’a Atari

Korrasami was a bad call in terms of the story in my opinion.. I'm all for the lgbt community getting that representation but the way it was done is trash. Should have let Korra be alone or brought back Makorra

Eugene Conner

My first time watching the series, I felt like the Korra/Asami relationship felt tacked on. The face Roshi made when they held hands... that was me. This time around I see the relationship was hiding in plain sight for a while.

Malik

That would’ve been nice to see tbh but I think it fit more with her character to fight without the Avatar State because she was already a great bender without them and that’s what she took pride in. Majority of her fights, she fought without the Avatar state until it was a dire situation. She really didn’t need it until the villains pulled some underhanded shit like they all did to her. She basically beat Tarlok without the avatar state until he bloodbent her, she had ptsd round one w Kuvira but she didn’t need the avatar state to beat her either which we saw in this episode, and everybody else she fought lost against her besides the main villains. I like seeing her go crazy against Zaheer but that’s only because she was literally forced to plus she wasn’t well in that fight either. She was handicapped for some reason in almost all the major fights

Anonymous

The Korrasami thing's been hinted at since Season 2, but not really enough to notice the first time around. The creators wanted to develop it much more, but the most they could get past Nickelodeon's censorship was hints and intimate hand-holding. They go more into it in the comics. This final season just didn't feel like a finale. I did, however, love Korra's arc of dealing with ptsd and learning a bunch of lessons. Kuvira was an alright villain, it's just so hard to follow up Zaheer and his crew. Overall a 7/10 season, 8/10 series for me.

allmight_stan

Loved y'all reactions till the end! People that said that they let haters influence them or they hated unnecessarily on Korra or that they only were about the surface, from their ending conversation, you know they understood it all. In many ways how they feel is exactly how I felt watching this show. It was solid, but it wasn't perfect or the most enjoyable in my opinion. It's okay to like Korra and it's okay to not like her. Her journey is respected but it doesn't have to be loved if you don't completely vibe with it. As for the side characters having a lot of shine, I wasn't of that opinion when I watched it the first time but after rewatching they are absolutely right. I feel way more for them now than I did the first watch and really appreciate them more. Anyways that's a wrap, I'm sad there was so much controversy in the comments most of the time but it did shine a lot of light on different perspectives when they weren't plain toxic and bitter lol. Hope that toxicity stays out in the next show that replaces this, thanks again for the laughs Roshi, Sheera and Lupa!

David McMurray

I had a great time going through this again with you three, it's been a wild ride. Came for Avatar and Korra, stayed for that big Lupa energy.

My Toasty Toast

Glad to have been on this ride with y’all. Although Zaheer and the Red Lotus were my favorite villains, I personally liked season 1 the most. When Korra got beat in season 1 it kinda made sense ‘cause it was her first experience with people who were actually trying to fold her, rather than trash white lotus guards training her. Definitely the highlights was all the pro-bending shit, I was never bored with all that dope choreography. I really enjoyed the connections to the Last Airbender, and seeing Katara and General Iroh were nice touches. I felt like season 1 was the perfect contrast to the Last Airbender where it was wildly different but it was still very much in the world of Avatar. Also Amon and the equalists were pretty good villains, and I could totally see how they could have gotten powerful and where they were coming from. Also the twists with Tarlock and the blood-bending and Aang flashbacks were dope. Anyways, despite its flaws I’m glad y’all enjoyed Korra!

Hariiah

I wish they showed more of Kiya and Bumi. Also that they should've traveled more I wanted to know more about the other nations, and I would've wanted more character development for Mako, Bolin, Asami because all the characters from the last Airbender had so much development.

Liam D

Happy you guys enjoyed the series, it's a great series probably 7/10 obviously isn't as good as ATLA but it has its hype moments and characters. I do 100% agree Korra getting her ass handed to her on repeat gets pretty old, its one thing to be flawed but they just kept giving her L's. would have been nice to see more W's but oh well. Supporting cast really really saves this show, and the villians are pretty great too. Hope we get another series here in the future

Arnold Barretto

Sheera always pulling through for Korra. True MVP

Dillon Mooney

I know I'm late, but I wanted to say thank you guys. I really enjoyed going on the Avatar journey with y'all. You guys helped make this pandemic a little less shitty for me. Next step, sci-fi Avatar. Some blade runner type environment where the avatar is obsolete because technology is so advanced. They really push that theme even in S1 and S4 of Korra with the Equalists and Mechs.

Nicole

Thank y’all for keeping me sane during quarantine this year really enjoyed the reactions to the whole avatar world. Definitely the best reactions I’ve seen to both ATLA and LOK 😂

Fooni

As a show I have less hate for TLOK the second time around. The show is pretty decent and not bad like I first thought. But Korra herself pissed me off even more the second time watching this series.

Beef Gristle Mill

To start off, I dont agree with the hate korra gets but that's fine, you wont always agree with everyone in life. I fuckin love Korra flaws and all, just like how I love Aang flaws and all. both charaters made mistakes and thats ok I still love them and I'll always love them both. (im not going into huge detail, eveyone who loves and supports korra like I do has already said what I think) I absolutley adore eveything about ATLA and Korra, collectively they're both my favorite cartoon series ever made. Even though I don't agree with some of the hate you guys gave Korra, i still thoroughly enjoyed your reactions of ATLA and Korra. you guys are stupid funny and made both series fun to watch again. Thank you for such great and funny reactions to this series (ATLA included) that means so much to me❤.

The Truth

That Mako scene was the most emotion I’ve seen you guys give for this show, I loved that scene. I’m so glad you guys were actually feeling the show with this scene. I like to come back and watch your reaction to that part. One of the most powerful scenes in the show with an amazing soundtrack to go with it. And you guys did not disappoint with your reaction to it. Thank you🙏

Emma

I JUST NOTICED THAT THE TROMBONE PLAYER IS THE DOUCHE PRO-BENDING PLAYER FROM SEASON 1. Glad he found his calling!

Anonymous

I’m just very disappointed that y’all would blame korra for everything that happened with republic city. I understand that she “lost” many fights but you also need to understand that her villains were much more powerful than whatever Aang faced. Amon literally took her bending, korra losing her past lives wasn’t her fault at all, it was vaatu’s, and she literally was poised. Korra went through much more hardships than Aang and her not winning all the time makes her realistic. The show was about korra learning to to be humble and compassionate, not about how to be the avatar. Overall, I’m glad you guys liked the show but I do think y’all were not being completely fair and looking at all of the possible viewpoints to judge her fairly. Loved the reactions! Extremely hilarious

Martin Tomaj

People forget to that this was the first big show to show anything remotely lgbtq friendly; it helped set the stage for other shows to more plainly incorporate it like SU, The Owl house, and Dragon Prince

KushWookieee

I think the superweapon was the same as Vaatus chest beam. He even commented on how he tore through the worlds

Ihsane

Thank you guys for the amazingly funny and sometimes frustrating content haha. This was my first ever patreon subsciption and you did not dissapoint. Keep it up ! <3

Mitchell Davis

That's the thing that bothered me too. Why not just show Korra and Asami develop into a couple?

Anonymous

Real quick - I know I'm just some random comment fuck, but still. I feel like when the hero shows compassion to the villain, no matter how evil, that's the kind of TV we need. Ever since the dawn of American storytelling, we've relished in justice and victory, when this side of the world doesn't even understand the basics of compassion. A show like Avatar finally steps up and brings the tried and true philosophies from the east, and we let our pettiness fuel frustration towards the peaceful decisions they make in the show. Naruto spends at least 600 episodes helping us understand this concept really well, too. Regardless, thanks so much for streaming this guys. I really enjoyed watching every bit of it, you guys are really funny and have some great synergy.

AbsurdToastling

Censorship. This was before gay marriage was legal across the country. The network wouldn't allow anything more explicit, so it was the best they could do in their time.

Anonymous

You guys should react to she-ra princess of power, or dragon prince.

Melissa Corella Robles

I was dying to see y'alls reactions to the end of this. And yes, they do end up together. The reason why it was so subtle is because it's a children's show. And I'm sure Nickelodeon wasn't ready for that heat. Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino did confirm in an interview later.

Matthew Osteen

Nothing wrong with being tough on criminals and dictators. Some people don't deserve mercy.

M C

Korra matured so much from being a hot head, and stopped a whole atomic bomb. Also, the creators wanted to put more asami and korra romance in there, but nickoldean didn't want to. I remember when it came out, they allowed all that death, but god forbid if Korras love interest was the same sex. They put the last season online too

DA'BIRB

You guys should react to She-ra princesses of power (2018)! Starts off silly but it gets crazy good

Patrick Wotton

Used to love this channel but after Lupa's sheer immaturity at understanding the point of FLAWED characters I'm honestly so done. I appreciate Sheera who at every turn tries to see it from all perspectives and Roshi who at least tries to wait to see what happens, but every time Korra appeared on screen Lupa's face just turns sour every time. Lupasan is obviously a perfect person who hasn't made a single mistake in his life.

Anonymous

ya really stressed the way they reacted to a show, LMAO

Christian Mugisha

Yeah lmao Lupa is literally a whole misogynist I only payed for their patron cause I thought dude was understanding in someway he nitpicks at every thing 💀 this dude is worse than Lily Orchard

Alex Campbell

Bro Korra really had a whole fight that destroyed the city aang and Zuko built and.... went on vacation immediately after being off the grid for three years 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 she makes me sick

Christian Mugisha

Stfu you stupid fuck the blast was going to destroy it even more lmao stop being dumb as if Aang didn’t have a fight that destroyed most of Kyoshi island 😂 I can tell your a biased Aang yard just like the misogynistic Lupa 🤣 she’s the only one that can energy bend that spirit vine and has enough power to do so 🤣 to say she was on vacation for three years while ignoring the fact that she was dealing with broken legs and poison effects plus ptsd is pure bias and ignorance when someone can say your daddy Aang was chilling and on vacation for 100 years while millions of people died stupid

Ruben Lopez

Lowkey i think Mako shouldve died on this one because hes the only one that got nothing out of the end and he could have been the one to take out the Gundam

Anonymous

So you guys basically think that the explosion was worsened by Korra without anything leading to it then can't understand how a spirit portal got created when so much spirit energy was concentrated in one place? smh..

miguel

This season wasnt even aired on Nickelodeon, I believe this premiered on the website instead lmaoo

Shado

The last half of season 3 and all of season 4 weren't on Nick but it was aired through their website. They claimed that the ratings were dropping which may have been true since everyone was only comparing it to ATLA instead of looking at it as it's own show but they agreed to let it finish online.

FreshxEli Tv

Zaheer literally Won 💀 did you guys notice the earth kingdom is independent after “ chaos passed over “ meaning kuvira , a new world order will form “new spirit portal “ everything zaheer said came true everything 💀 zaheer is literally the true avatar essence and meaning of the avatar if you ask me everything he done bad or good was for the people Korra and her friends only hated him but zaheer showed the path to the rest of the world he did the dirty work so eveyone could walk nobody ever talks about how Zaheer plans came to pass if you ask me he is the real avatar

Anonymous

There could have been other Avatars that have gotten bodied worse than Korra. We don't know much and will never know how the other stories/lives of the Avatars. I enjoyed watching her story again and you all's reaction to it. A truly underrated series.

rayman

ya I was thinking the same thing. It would have really been sad and well done. But they wanted to end the show on a happy note. If Mako died Bolin wouldn't have been very cheerful at the end.

Ahridva

It will be nice if you can react to She-Ra it does give the Avatar vibes I think you will like it

tyrone

Yall are on book 4 dang

Anonymous

Meh- this show was ok if not for season 3 this show would be forgettable. The story telling was lame the love triangle was lame all the secondary characters were way better than the main character. All the older people are still loved way more than the new ones. All the past lives are gone, the city is blown up, and korra was holding Ls the entire show. The fight scenes saved this show completely cause it damn sure wasn’t the story. Everyone in this show felt like a bunch of dummies -always questioning things and saying “are you sure”? They completely made the avatar state seem weak as hell and to top it all off they end it with a weak ass lesbo kiss that seemed forced as hell. They hinted at their relationship 1 time in 4 seasons saying” hey remember when I only wrote you those letters”? Huh huh remember.BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

SirMcDust

Rewatching both S3 and S4 after reading the comics and knowing that they do in fact become a couple really makes their relationship a bit more obvious. It's small moments like Korra blushing when complimented by Asami or how Asami cared for Korra after she was paralyzed and even offered to go with her to the pole. Generally speaking all moments that made you think that they're good friends fall into that. During their pretty short trip in the spirit world they discuss their feelings and Korra fell in love with Asami after S3 though according to her she kinda didn't know what to make of that. While Asami noticed how she felt when Korra was gone. The comics were both really good ngl. The first one mostly explores their relationship and how a destroyed city affects the crime scene. The second focuses on the earth kingdom while it's trying to become a democracy, too bad some diehard Kuvira troops haven't given up so Kuvira has to step up herself. Also they make for a more satisfying ending than S4 ever was lol

Juvan

Despite some points I disagree with David & lupasan I enjoyed you guys reactions to the series

Cian Perkins

I would definitely be interested in seeing you guys talk about both the comics and the Kyoshi novels! Kyoshi in her books is brutal as hell and I think that y’all would appreciate that alongside the world building done to the ATLA history. I haven’t read the comics personally, but a lot of the storylines that I know of are very interesting.

Cian Perkins

I do recognize that his would be a fair bit different from your normal content, but I know that Roshi in the past has done manga chapter reactions and I feel like you could do this in a similar format

Darby

Props for being one of the few reaction channels that didn't sugarcoat shit to appease the batshit crazy Korra fanatics because holy shit were they out in the comment sections in full force. The writing in the series was mediocre at best and Korra was a poorly written Avatar. They ended up having too many characters to juggle and not having Aaron Ehasz as head writer truly showed how little Michael and Bryan understood the universe they created; the nuances just weren't present like they were in ATLA. Overall, TLOK is a good series but extremely flawed.

Noor Irsyad

TLOA was a much better flowing, more cohesive and well thought out series. TLOK was pretty good at best, and I get that has a lot to do with Nickelodeon fuckery too. People that take criticism over fictional characters to heart is childish as hell though like damn.

Manuel Ayala

"Why didnt they just show them together..." Homophobia, the answer is literally homophobia.

Manuel Ayala

*Kurvira destroys the entire city* *Blames Korra*

Brianna

They are confirmed as a couple. They could not show the relationship bc it was nickelodeon. Even that ending got crap from parents. Keep in mind, when this originally aired, same-sex marriage wasn’t legal yet.

Enkyri

Lol, Sheera be like, "I WILL BE HEARD WHEN I TALK."

vMochix

Korra is the most infuriating and worst avatar ever. No one can change my mind at this point

Anonymous

It’s really unfortunate Nick wouldn’t allow Korra and Asami to share a kiss, let alone have any real development at all. Hopefully with Avatar Studios, we can get a true LGBTQ+ relationship.

HopelesslyImmersed

I wanna say I had only watched the first season and was honestly kind of disappointed in the writing. Amon had such huge potential and build up to be the series' antagonist, like Fire Lord Ozai was to Aang. The energy bending and incredible fighting ability enough to best the Avatar especially so early in the series. Even Roshi was hella hyped for Amon at one point. Especially when he utterly bodied his brother and broke through the blood bending "What the hell!? Who IS this GUY!?". But then Amon completely and utterly plays himself, revealing himself as the a water bender in front of all those people when all he had to do was water bend a pocket of air for himself and swim away making Korra look like a bad guy. The writing was too all over the place for me, but it was still a good watch. Just sucks that all that potential was lost time after time due to bad writing.

Carmelo Cintron Rosa

Season 1 being the only time where she didn't fuck up. Everything after is all caused by her mistakes including Kuvira. If she didn't fuck up season 2 giving Zaheer airbending then he wouldn't have killed the earth queen and Kuvira wouldn't have stepped up.

CJ Dennis

Kurvia was not really korra's fault, and Zaheer was a problem a long time ago when she was young. Him and his crew try to take her as a child.

CJ Dennis

Zaheer's plan was to kill all world leaders and have their be no nations or governments. So I don't think what he initially planned really came to pass.

Carmelo Cintron Rosa

@CJ Dennis Kuvira is completely her fault. Zaheer would have spent his life imprisoned if it wasn't for him getting airbending then proceeding to killing the earth queen, which led to Su refusing to unite the earth kingdom and led Kuvira down her path. Again it all came from Korra's fuck up.

Baron Salt

Sir you are making the most extreme assumptions. 1. Kora winning the harmonics convergence was the reason air bending was restored. So unless you wanted her and the entire avatar world to have 10 thousand years of darkness her loosing wasn't an option. 2. Kora literally had no say in who received air bending and she can't control the actions of other people. The villains made their decisions way before Kora had any interactions with them. They committed these actions themselves and all the events since then are in no way Kora's fault no matter how far your tiny brain wants to stretch your imagination.

Carmelo Cintron Rosa

@Baron Salt 1. What assumptions? It's all facts 🤣 2. If she hadn't been the clown that she is no gates would have been opened therefore there was no need for harmonic convergence to even happen. 3. You are clearly an opinion over facts kind of guy hence "Stretch your imagination" maybe you should get off your Cloud and come back to reality. Make your arguments based on facts not Your imagination.

Anthony Longoria

But your facts are also opinions. Kuvira for example, we can also blame the dozen of generations of poor EK leadership that we have seen, or Suyin for not stepping up when they asked, Zaheer for not realizing that his chaos theory had no real balance and would only lead to more darkness 3 years too late, the other kingdoms for not stepping in/giving aid during a time of peace, we can blame Zuko, Sokka, Tonraq and Tenzin for imprisoning Zaheer instead of executing him(He was active as a Red Lotus member since he was a teen and they aren't exactly not friendly or against killing, considering his infamy he had likely put down a lot of benders before he killed the earth queen). Basically the blame game is nothing but what you want it to be. Then on the point of Harmonic Convergence, no other Avatar but Wan had gone through that situation and the connection to him was already weak, beyond that Unalaq has been basically the only person she had met who knew anything about the spirit world. So maybe we should blame Aang for not teaching Tenzin better? Or the white lotus for falling as short as they did to be completely shown up by red lotus members (Like Unalaq)? Until Toph came along Korra received basically the minimum in terms of meaningful guidance, so of course she's going to fail over and over like Aang, difference is that her failures actually matter even if she gets the last few wins like he did. Her story is closer to that of Kuruk, with the difference that she hasn't completely failed I(Also considering that just about his whole career as avatar was spent being a failure of an avatar for the world due to fighting dark spirits constantly, avatars have clearly had no idea wtf they were doing with spirits with the exception of Wan, who didn't try to help them lol)

Anthony Longoria

It was better flowing due to not being cohesive. there were days if not weeks between almost every episode allowing us to skip a lot of down time, recuperation and smaller growth while most episodes for this were happening in the same few days leaving no room for recouping or growth making it much more frustrating. And looking at the ending of Books 1 and 2 I'd say they were not certain fi they'd be able to do a full long connected story again like they did with TLA. Those two changes were the biggest flaws I think. As far as writing goes Korra's teachers allowing her to focus on the physical instead of the spiritual for 3 out of 4 elements was pretty bad, Aang got a lot of both with every element, not just air, that's why I consider her few eps with Toph to be the only time she had a real mentor

Carmelo Cintron Rosa

@Anthony Longoria "but your facts are also opinions"... if it happened it is a fact. You made some good points about how things might have been different, but at the end of the day it's all if,but,or maybe. There is no "Blame Game" if you watch and pay attention even the Trio knows that the whole series is about Korra's clownery and the consequences that followed. Anyone who wants to continue this debate reply to this comment then leave your own comment so you can get notified when i reply.

Jaxon Gray

I think you also have to consider how no other Avatar had to deal with threats of the same severity as Korea. First Amon, a freak of nature blood bender that break the only drawback of the technique, not to mention refining it to the point to bend they’re blood to block there chi. Second Unaloc and Vatu, Unaloc is easily the weakest villain as far motivations go he’s still definitely a very powerful water bender and could bend spirits to his will, Something Aang would have no recourse for, not to mention have to deal with Spirit Satan in Vatu. Third Zaheer and the red lotus. Zaheer is probably the most uniquely powerful air bender ever, apart from guru Lahima, not to mention a combustion bender. Lastly Kuvira, while again not necessarily to strong the motivation front, she is easily the most powerful force we’ve ever seen in the verse, no other Avatar would have been able to do anything to her, especially considering no other Avatar could metal bend. When you consider all we know of the earlier avatars, none dealt with threats of this apart from Wan and Aang, and those threats were still less then what came for Korra. Just think about Ruko, who’s most impactful actions were threatening Sozan and failing to fight a volcano. The last water bender before Korra, who’s only real problem at all was dealing with Ko, which sucks for him, but Ko wasn’t a threat to the balance of the world. The most important obstacle she had over the other Avatars was her lack of connection of past lives to guide her, so she had to figure out solutions on her own. As far as blame goes the only to blame Korra for is opening the gates in my opinion, because every other thing was not foreseeable to her and anyone who could or should have told her of say Zaheer (the one guy that it would be really bad to become an air bender) didn’t. She was also supposed to learn from all her opponents, since they’re supposed to be like Killmonger from Black Panther, in that they some kind of good intention, but they’re to violent or extreme to create a proper solution. Ultimately I just think that it’s unfair to simply say she’s trash without comparing her to the other Avatars as reference, and blaming her for things when sometimes she just had to make a hard choice.

Carmelo Cintron Rosa

I agree with this. You understood the fact that aside from Amon every other big villain is a result of Korra's bad judgment in opening the gates. In my opinion because of her bad judgment i consider her trash. The main reason I enjoyed this series was because of the supporting characters Korra is the biggest dissapointment to me. Like the gang said i feel bad for the next Avatar only having Korra as their past life.

Devon Joseph

Look you can like Korra but you have to admit how they handled her character was garbage. I won't say Korra is trash because there was a time I like Korra but fundamentally Korra was set up to fail from a narrative and character standpoint. The story spins the tail of her suffering as if she didn't do it to herself by being completely irresponsible and arrogant. No lesson she learns pays of in terms of personal growth or impact to the overall world. It felt like as if every B+ she got on a test she immediately failed the next test like some wacky "Choose your own Adventure." One fuck up in Season 2 led to ALL of the events that happen throughtout the series. I cant even be happy Korra saved the day because she is otherwise cleaning up her mess before someone else comes along to thank her for the screentime. The show doesn't do her any favor and I don't feel sorry for her only because she just isn't that relatable or likeable. Not hateable but she is completely over shadowed by the supporting cast. Even Asami, who was almost non exsistent in third season is more likable than Korra. I understand the hate because when this show shines its fucking blinding it's so good, but you have to call a spade a spade. Korra is an unlikeable character the first two seasons and the writers tried to redeem her by beating the good parts of her into the ground under the guise of PTSD and gave her a completely unearned LGBT relationship with the only non-toxic person in that show. Like Asami and Korra weren't even friends. They house wrecked the both of their relationships with the same dude. I wouldn't even say Asami HR'd since Mako broke up with Korra but regardless the Love Trianlge subplot was also so damn dumb.

WindShinobi590

So the second time I watched Legend of Korra, because I knew Korra and Asami were supposed to be a couple, the fact that she was only writing to Asami suddenly felt more important. And then there was the quick blush when Asami complimented Korra's hair.

David Sacks

First of all, this was a great ride watching the show and then rewatching the show a day later with your reactions. I can't do that for every show, but Korra really has a great writing, animation, and "moments" that are worth rewatching in every single episode. I watched ATLA for the first time about a year and a half ago, and had read all the comics up to Imbalance (the latest) before watching Korra. It fills in some of the arc between the two stories, and would help someone understand why Aang would love the spirit portal in Republic City (before the city was built it was a place of great spiritual importance to the Air Nomads because of what had happened there during Avatar Yang Chen's time).

Url Robbo

Just finished binging avatar and this the past few weeks so it sucks not having avatar anymore. I pray to god the Netflix series is good.

sergio valdez

Why are people saying Kora saved the air nomads? That was literally all Tenzin, she didnt even get the final blow on the guy who threatened to wipe them out again.

XNobodyx

Sheera killing it with the breakdown.
