Yeaaaa sheera I don’t think karasuno problem is with them giving up trying to receive the ball b4 it hits the ground, it’s hard to space people out and trying to save every ball at the same time. It’s not that they don’t try to receive it or that they give up it’s just shii happens sometimes

its very very hard to receive a ball after a block, cause it moves in a split of a seconds and sometimes your body cant react to that even though you know the ball is coming

yall need to stop coming for my boy yamagucci like that 😤 and low key everyone else too?? part of the reason haikyuu is so amazing is because of how accurately it depicts volleyball/being a volleyball player. you'll get a lot more out of the show if you're able to empathize with the characters as competitive athletes and see their frustrations and struggles as legitimate. I'm getting too defensive lmao but like 😭 honestly I haven't been much of a fan of hearing the sighing at every mistake Karasuno makes in recent vids

I feel like they dont actually hate yamaguchi lmao i react the same way when watching sports in real time lol "damn why couldnt yall get that!!" or "bro this dude sucks!!" after a mistake in the moment.. but ofc I know in the end they cant just play the starters the whole game and everyone gets a time to shine AND make mistakes lol it's just a moment of in real time frustration watching sports or the aftermath of a game

There are a surprising amount of people that sub to their patreon without knowing their kind of humor. You would think everyone here has at least watched their YT videos and know they make jabs at characters and over dramatize for comedy, but somehow across multiple shows you get a lot of people complaining that they are hurting the fictional character's feelings. It’s one thing to be defensive of a fictional character and the crew’s lack of empathy for him or her (I had a few moments like that with re:Zero), but to take that annoyance or disappointment and then just fucking ruin shit for their viewing experience or the experience of somebody else who’s scrolling through the comments and watching the show for the first time? A criticism of Karasuno play style is that they are aggressively offensive, thus leaving a lot of holes in their defense. When you focus too much one thing, you naturally lose out on other things. That’s why their synchro attack is something you don’t see a lot of other teams attempt, because it’s a risky move that completely leaves the whole court open. That’s why a lot of teams or spectators throughout the show comment on how “reckless” karasuno is, because they put a LOT into their offense to the point that their defense suffers from it. I personally like that though, it’s more entertaining to see them be aggressive (and progressively more calculating with their large attack arsenal) than more balanced out like Nekoma.
