If you ask me Kana's death was wasted potential. All the buildup for her to act dumb after Shinichi warned her a million times. So much probably could've been done with her unique ability to be more aware of the parasites. If played right could be used as a substitute when Migi was asleep.

Migi can't necessarily read his mind. Migi is just very perceptive, very smart, and knows him very well so it isn't too far off to think Migi would be able to figure out what Izumi is thinking about. If Migi could read his mind they wouldn't need to openly speak all the time. Just because Migi is basically part of his body and is spread all throughout him that doesn't mean Migi can tap into his mind.

This girl is almost as bad as the one with the glasses. The only thing that saves her for me is the way her story line plays out. But she had wasted potential for furthering the story. She doesn't play it out quite as stupid as the girl with the glasses where she intentionally sets it up to get clapped with someone she hasn't even spoken to. I can understand that Kana at least has very powerful feelings for Izumi and has communicated and tried and is just blinded by her love for him. I don't blame her but it is kind of fucked up to try and screw over another girl that is with the guy you like because you want him.

Also that Parasyte just happened to be in the same place they met up before and talked to each other. She was going to a place where she had been with Izumi and that gave her some more reasoning to think he would be there.

Imagine having a sense or a feeling when someone that interest you is close. The feeling continues to get stronger over time. You think it's because of your love or he's your soulmate. How would that feel like? Would it be a good feeling, would it raise your heartbeat or would it even give you pleasure? We can't know because it's fictional. Maybe in the end she couldn't live without that feeling. Add in she's a young high school girl that is naive and in love and her actions make sense. At least to me. I can see that some people can find her annoying but I liked her in the story. The anime could have done more with her imo. Btw when she asked for proof that Shinichi has a parasite couldn't he just jump 3 meters into the air like he did before? Lmao if I saw that I would believe anything he would have said especially in this world where crazy murders are happening. Maybe slight plot hole? Idk. Ah I forgot it's anime so that would be normal haha.

Alright, yes she was being stupid. But when was being stupid warranted a death penalty? Not to mention her behavior, imo isn't all that unnatural. Imagine one day you began to have this power to sense a certain person and you always knew exactly when they're nearby. You would feel some sort of way, depending on the person, towards that "someone". In Kana's case, it was love in her mind. (BTW I am just watching alongside with them so it was a shock she died so early but this will push Shiinichi forward). She was blinded her own delusion and love but not in a completely unbelievable way. It's not like she simply fell in love with him. But the supernatural fact that she was able to sense him gave her this feeling of "oh this must be fate". And she tried desperately to prove it to him because he was already so close to Murano that Kana knew she was at a disadvantage. So people might find her annoying but I find Kana tragic more than anything. Given, like I said I am watching alongside with them so I don't know what info we will get on the parasites later on, but the fact that she was impacted mainly due to this "power" of hers that never occurred in the past because parasites are more recent, that was the main thing that pushed her to this point. She didn't understand the dangers of the power and ended up where she is. And once again, honestly they do this for alot of characters but stupidity isn't always warranted for you to say "thank god that character is dead, gave me a headache". If every stupid person should deserve to die, I suppose that makes one even worse than Light Yagami. So yes, Kana was responsible for her own death (although Izumi could've done a little bit more but 95% of it was pretty much because of her own misguided view of her powers) but I don't think that warrants others to simply brush her off as that annoying stupid girl who deserved to die.

Kana is an interesting character. i dont think she made any good decisions but what was she supposed to do??? all the sudden she meets a rando new guy then starts feeling a presence anytime he is around??? i guarantee no matter what yall wouldnt think evil parasites. i think she is justified for most of her actions and she got inside her own head at the end trying to prove her point

Looking back on the show, parasyte has horrible female characters except for that parasite chick. It is just bad characterization. Migi was the best character imo. Its a B+/ A- show for me

Just because they called you out when you would've been at home, doesnt mean its their fault you died. Thats unreasonable. Plus he called her and said he was changing locations and to wait for his call. She decided to try to find him on her own and leave her phone. That's just stupidity.

That’s how I’ve always seen their dynamic. Like in korra for example lupa couldn’t go 2 minutes without looking away at Roshi and joking. And sheera can’t go two minutes without tryna explain to Roshi something he usually already gets on his own. I might get hate but every single reaction video with them has always been like this and that’s why I like em they are entertaining. I mean I do pay for this shit 😂

I mean she was running up to random people wayy before he said anything and she even said she that the signal leads to random people sometimes. And he never told her the new meeting place he was going to call her back to tell her. Migi was right if y’all think about it. If he would have went on his date and she still would’ve felt that signal there’s a chance she still would’ve went after it. She was warned multiple times but she was obsessed to the point she wanted to prove everyone wrong. It’s sad she went like that tho.

We are talking bout a highschool girl who believes she can sense her soulmate which she can but not exactly. For me Kana was annoying about her not believing, but who teenage girl in love would obey anybody telling her what to not do? For myself I felt Kana would have had best personality if she didn't die here, as for me she was more better for Shinichi. RIP Kana...stupidity costs lives.

Nope, completely wrong, just like Sheera. The first time Kana reacted to a parasyte was when she looked into Shinichi´s eyes and that got her curious, but instead of feeling terrified, she has thought that she feels something special for him and the more time she spent finding out about him, the more she started to sense Shinichi. (or back then it would be more accurate to say she sensed Migi) Do you not remember how surprised she was when she thought she sensed Shinichi and it turend out to be Hideo Shimada (the schoolboy parasyte) and was surprised that she got it wrong. She thought she could ONLY sense Shinichi and then tried even harder and harder to sense Shinichi, which awakened her powers more and more and thus she could sense even more parasytes. So at first she could barely sense Shinichi, then she could sense him, than she could sense other parasytes, then she was able to even tell if more where there and near the end she could even emit signals. Shinichi pushing her away and not telling her why and basically not drawing a line was what got ther killed. Anyone who thinks otherwise, does not know anything about basic human psychology. (and I would highly recommend you reading some basic books or scriptures on it, it is highly interesting and helps you out in a lot of situations) BTW I do not like really Kana as I think she could have been far more though I do think she was a better written character than Murano, because Kana at least feels like a real person with all her flaws and thus makes her more human. Most of Sheera´s thoughts and a lot of the comments simply felt the dramatic irony and situational irony in those scenes. Dramatic irony because we know there are parasites, but Kana does not, because they are not public knowledge and just a rumor, like Slender Man or Witches, etc. take your pick. So when she runs around the corner and sees the parasite the audience calls her stupid, because the audience knows it is a parasite, as it knows Shinichi is not there and and knows there are parasites killing people in secluded areas. And situational irony, because Shinichi tried to tell her the truth, meet up with her and create a situation where she does not get killed, but ends up creating a situation where she does get up killed in a way he tried to prevent. But this irony only occurs because we know, as the viewer/audience, what is going on. That is why some of you feel so smug and say "Well we saw that one coming, she deserves it", because yeah...we SAW EVERYTHING and thus knew what was coming and thus knew better. She definitely did not deserve it, because this is not a classic case of "going down in the dark basement, where the person saw red glowing eyes before and heard a growl and then getting killed". It is just a tragic situation where someone tried to save a person and ended up making it worse. It happens a lot, especially with someone who is in an abusive relationships or has an addiction for drugs, alcohol, etc....sometimes, when you try to help someone like that, that meddling only ends up making it worse, while everyone else just sneers at the side "Well they deserved it, they had it coming, it is their fault". Fault often lies with those who cast a fault on someone else.

For me, I equally hate both of the girls. It's either "Are u Shinichi?" 24/7 or being obsessed with him not giving a second thought about how she can sense only Shinichi. Even if it was Shinichi's fault for relaying the information to her, we can all agree that by her login and actions she was inevitably gonna die sooner or later. I get what Roshi was trying to say but I agree with Sheera. Shinichi thought not telling her was more dangerous because she kept running towards anything she felt was giving her a signal. How was he supposed to know that even after seeing the news and connecting the dots with Shimada who killed MAD people at their school that her crush on him would make her become more desperate? Kana messed up and I just feel bad for Shinichi because he couldn't save her. I'm concerned for anyone who thinks her high school hormones packed crush phase overriding her human logic was justified. People are being EATEN by people you may get a signal from and you delude yourself to that extent and compromise your safety?? Nahhhh
