i remember the whole thing in the polls how people said they wouldnt like slime at all because they didnt like slime., i guess they were wrong

I am surprised they didn't react to it just being one dude that summoned her, Veldora said it takes upwards of 30 mages to summon someone for a few days but this guy summoned her by himself and she has been there far longer then that hinting at how powerful this guy must be. And to be fair if he didn't summon her she would have died so he unintentionally saved her life.

I think they said the "king" who pardoned them was a proxy and that was the real king at the end. Idk for sure if that's right though

It's hard to tell when you barely see one and it's nowhere near when you see the other, but, aside from the mask, the hero that sealed Veldora and Shizu actually look very different. You really kinda need to look at both at once though.

Fun Fact: The VA for Shizu also voiced Evileye in Overlord and Hayasaka Ai in Kaguya-sama: Love is War (she's also in Our Last Crusade and Akudama Drive this season).

No. The proxy was the defendant, as only they are ALLOWED TO SPEAK during a Trial (thus they act as your proxy, since you can't speak directly in a Trial, as stated). The minister dude literally bought him, as was obvious since he literally didn't defend Rimuru & co, but said they did worse than they did (which would be obvious to literally anyone who followed it with 100% observation)

Actually the King did have reason to punish them. While what they claimed that they attacked the minister was not true, the dwarf did punch a government official. It would have gotten him prison time and sent to the mines, but the King knew that Rimuru must be special so decided to change it to banishment so that he could go serve the man (slime?) that helped him and avoid being sent away for hard labor.

The reason behind the punishment was to keep up appearances, even though it was clear he understood the fix was in on the trial. He'd changed the punishment from a far harsher one to "mere" exile for that reason, and punished the courtier responsible for screwing up diplomatic relations. Just a "if I want to prevent delegitimizing our court process, I can't make a scene in front of everyone" sort of moment, at least that's how I interpreted it.

If shizu is from an entirely different time period, then how did she get a joke from a game that most likely came out years after she was summoned

If you guys didnt know... The slime joke was from a game called dragon quest. The slime is the tutorial NPC and that line is used in every single installment of the game. If you search google images from dragon quest im not a bad slime you will see it easily.
