Agreed completely, susaku is a complete clown at this point

Alejandro Pupo

The fight this episode went so fucking hard. Always good to see some good ol 2D mecha fighting animation

Thamor

Susaku was made to be the basic shounen hero with the unrealistic ideals and being overpowered. That is what Susaku is in this show.

Bryce Jackson

The bit with white snow at the end is reference to c.c actual name which the writer has said is Yuki Shiroi which means Snow White never brought up again but it’s to clear up the odd thing he says at the end.

The thing with Suzaku is his ideal of trying to change things internally is a viable method in concept but it is a goal that can only be accomplished in the long term, with slow results as his own people are continued to be treated as unequal and would hold more weight if he wasn't the lone soldier in a fight against a system biased against him. Lelouch's methods are morally wrong as he goes about all this so far with the final goal of just revenge and personal satisfaction but he's also making in short terms results that are giving the oppressed hope of change which paints him in a better light. Lelouch also is our protagonist at the end of the day so we would be rooting for him regardless.

Literally thought this was called "Battle for Naruto" for a sec

Why was that so graphic and sad in the vision??? yo is this a gundam show? what genre is this? Still love it

as much as i hate suzaku i do agree with what ^^^ speaks above. suzaku's methods arent useless since if he succeeds, the japanese will be treated better. not 100% but the possibility is there. i wouldnt call lelouch's plan short termed as if they do destroy britannia, this results in the liberation of the other nations as well. however in terms of "motivation" lelouch didnt care much about the world. he simply wanted britannia gone so nunnally can live in peace. that and vengeance for his mother. although on the other side, suzaku's goals arent so pure either, which will be shown throughout the show. both have their pros and cons i just never liked suzaku's attitude of how there is a "right" way to approach things.

Gabby Boakye-yiadom

I don't mean Lelouch's plan is short term overall. I meant that in the context of whose showing better results, Lelouch is gaining ground with every victory while Suzaku is more of a snail's pace at present. Also yeah there's more to Suzaku but that would spoilers so I didn't want to add anymore.

Jose silva

when she is talking about snow she is talking about herself.

Damion Middleton

C.C. put this kid Suzaku in an Infinite Tsukuyomi lol. Mans was traumatized at the end.

Reign

CC is best waifu in the show by far. Also don't throw shade at my boy jeremiah. You'll be praising my man sooner or later =)

Reign

that never changes. he's easily the worst character in the show by far. He ruins things so many times for stupid reasons and is a flip flopper who can't hold any convicitions of his own.

Prune Chips

Suzaku was sent to the sunken place

JD

I forgot how good Code Geass is, so glad you guys gave me a reason to rewatch it. Highest tier anime.

gaelthras

Waow! i didn't know that! If it's true it's amazing because it ties up well with their previous discussion where C² said " snow is white because it forgot what color it was"

Hugh Janus

At this point Suzaku probably just wants to be a good soldier and climb the ranks as he is an honorary Britannian and wants to obtain enough status to change things/become a symbol for his people. I dont think he necessarily has a plan rn

Tsunami Wave

Always hated Suzaku's "ideals." They're counterintuitive and place the work on Japanese shoulders instead of Britannia. Aside from how messed up it is to believe YOU need to help the enemy to make them see YOU as a human being, it's very clearly not working. Any time he's trying to help other officers just demean his efforts as selfish or impetuous. The Governor-General was in dire need of assistance and the officers accused him of wanting glory ffs! He literally cannot change this system from within; it's rotten from the top down.

Senpai

Chainsaws <<<<<< Chainsaw Swords <<<<<<<<< Mech-sized Chainsaw Swords

Tsunami Wave

It's necessarily a writing problem imo. Suzaku as a character seems intentionally written to be contradictory and foolish. Of course it wouldn't be the first case of authors misunderstanding social issues such that Suzaku is written to be seen as a genuinely good person, but I cannot say for sure what the case is here.

Max Murillo

Well, the show kind of de-constructs his thinking later. His "philosophy" if its worth calling that is not entirely developed. He's acting more on his personal moral imperatives than on any definite plan. Notice how he always puts himself intentionally in harms way to protect others, no matter if the act itself has any real value towards building a better world for his people. He's definitely working against himself, in that regard.

John FD Lobrano

I think the issue with him at least with the first season, is that his motivation is too one-dimensional. He wants to change the system from within, but never actually tries anything to create any meaningful change.

JsnSkg

Really love the character designs in Code Geass. The waifus are GORGEOUS AF.

Festx

Spoiler alert ahead What suzaku was seeing during the shock images were what the future would be like if C2's plan with the emperor and marrine would come to fruition. The dead would be alive to see the people who are alive I guess you would say, and suzaku's dad was dead so he would come back alive to see suzaku and he said "I didn't mean to" as his dad was walking towards him meaning I didn't mean to kill you. This is just a theory though.

BRONX BABY YURR

I’m glad I ain’t the only one that doesn’t like suzaku

akuma06

I think she might have connected him to the C world and he saw his dad there. We have the evidence in an earlier episode that the emperor can talk to the dead Clovis without any code. So C.C. should be able to do the same with it.
