I think that Wrath's ending was made so well done. After Wrath just denying the presence of a god and everything, the eclipse which represents "god" in the alchemy, determined his destiny in the end in some way. .

List of things it took to kill Fuhrer King Bradley: A train explosion and subsequent fall into a gorge, A fucking tank, A platoon of highly trained soldiers, A giant man with a chainsaw robot arm, A super human monster with invincible armor fused with one of the best martial artists in the world, A ninja equipped with various explosives, a mass murderer who can kill you with the touch of his hand, and a literal act of god. The man gets so many grudge matches thrown at him, and still manages to win/draw every fight he's been in. Also a fun fact, the mangaka has confirmed if bradley was in his prime, the hero's would have lost, and father's plan would have succeeded.

If you think about it, letting Father run wild for a bit longer would've meant there was absolutely no way the heroes were gonna win at that point. Father literally had the power of God inside him and 50 million souls to power the philosopher's stone keeping him in there. So yeah, Father was about to clap all of our heroes before they would have a chance to reverse things because Father would have another good hour or so to just do his thing rather than just a few minutes lol. The only reason they didn't get clapped immediately is because Father was spending a few minutes just admiring all of his new powers and wanted to show off a bit before he was probably gonna kill Ed and co.

Exactly. Man roasted Lust and burned Envy past the point of recovery. The only homunculi that stood a chance were pride, wrath, and greed. And that's simply because they can attack faster than the others. Team Mustang up with some backup alchemists and he'd be OP. That's why even the backups had to be incapacitated...because they'd give Mustang too many opportunities to go off. I know the story is mostly about the Elrics but Mustang is essentially the MVP 80% of the time. They had to remove him just so others could shine.

With Ed and Pride, remember when Ed used his own soul as energy (Like a philosphers stone) to heal his severe wound from the fight with Kimbley in the North, it's essentially the same thing he did here. He used the energy from his own soul to power through Pride. At least, that's how I understood it
